சென்ற ஆகஸ்ட் 18- ஆம் தேதியன்று லண்டனிலுள்ள பிரிட்டிஷ் லைப்ரரியிலிருந்து, தமிழ் நாட்டில் வசிக்கும் சௌராஷ்டிர ஜாதியினர் பற்றிய ஒரு சிறிய புத்தகத்தை இங்கே (கட்டுரை எண் 2081) கொடுத்திருந்தேன்.
இதோ மேலும் ஒரு புத்தகம். தலைப்பு ஸௌராஸ்ட்ரரின் பூர்வ சரித்திரம்; வெளியிட்ட ஆண்டு 1911. வெளியிட்ட இடம்-சேலம்.
முந்தைய புத்தகத்தின் பெயர்: ஸௌராஷ்டிர ஜாதியாரின் சரித்திர சாரசங்கிரகம், ஆண்டு 1903, கும்பகோணம் ஜெ.வி.பத்துருசுவாமியினால் பிரசுரம் செய்யப்பட்டது.

/ August 25, 2015Those born after 1930 and more so after 1947 bore the brunt of DRAVDIAN HOOLIGANISM. I am of sixty years old and from my primary standard I have been searching my root branded as usal as ARYAN VANDHERIKAL. The more I read all the articles the more get confused. There are certain aspects in TAMIL SPEAKING COMMUNITIES which were not found in any other ethnic community. We are peddling with two boats. For our LAUKIKA we extensively use PURE TAMIL WORDS not used by any other Tamil speaking community. But our heart is towards PURANDARADASA/MAHARASHTRI ABHANG/THIAGAIYYA/MEERA BAJANS etc., I am yet to find any authentic reference to TAMIL SPEAKING BRAHMINS IN ANY OF THE SMRITHIS/SRUTHIS. Dravidians is a misnomer not supported bycorroborative evidences. The wrod DRAVIDA is not found in any of the sansirt/prakrit/tamil literature before FOURTH CENTURY AD. It was only after BUDDHISTS entry into Tamilnadu the word was coined. Even KUMARILA BHATTA IN HIS VARTHIKA refers only ANDHRA DRAVIDA BASHA. The Krishna Godavari Basin was referred s DRAVIDAand the PANCHA DRAVIDA BRAHMANAS–only KERALA/ANDHRA/KARNATAKA/MARHARASHTRA/GURJARA Brahmins and Kerala was treated as TAMILNADU. Our claim that VADAMAS BELONG TO NARMADA/SINDH is even more HUMBUG since there has not been any reference in SINDHI OR MAHARASHTRI LITERATURE OR INSCRIPTIONAL EVIDENCES for emigration of BRAHMINS from there. The PALLAVA/CHOLA inscriptions and even VIKRAMADITYA VI OF KALYAN inscrtiptions extensively refer to MIRGRATION AND REVERSE MIGRATION FROM CAUVERY BASIN TO KRISHNA GODAVARI BASIN AND AYODHYA/ILADA DESA and not SINDH OR NARMADA. The reference to NARMADA in SAHDYAVANDANA is clear interppolation and are all our PADDHADHITIS cannot go beyond SRI MADHWACHARYA’S PERIOD. The NORTH INDIAN LITERATURE OINCLUDING SANSKRIT COMPLETELY OMIT PALLAVAS/CHOLAS–even more DANDI IN HIS AVANTHISUNDARIKATHA never mentions PALLAVAS though he mentions KANCHIPURAM.At least in Karnataka/Kerala/Andhra there are KSHATRIYAS and in Tamilnadu there no Kshatriyas and Sri shri Rja Iyer in the case of RAJA OF KOLJHAPUR AND OTHERS relating to Tanjore Principaplity contended that ther are no KSHATRIYAS AND IN KALIYOUGA there are only two castes-BRAHMINS AND OTHERS. Why should unnecessarily saddle with two opposing HORSES–TAMIL AND HINDUISM nad nobody in Tamilnadu is going to accept us as TAMILS or other nobody in Rest of India is going to accept TAMIL SPEAKING PEOPLE AS ARYANS. THEN WHY THIS DICHOTOMY? Nobody in Tamilnadu or in REST OF INDIA is going ton be confessed by our arguments. Let us leave Tamil speaking persons as they are and let us mingle and dissolve ourselves with rest of BRAHMINS AND THERE IS NO NECESSITY TO HANG ON TWO OPPOSITE THEORIES.
