நரகத்திற்குச் செல்பவன் யார்? ஸ்வர்க்கமும் போற்றுபவன் யார்?

நல்ல நல்ல சுபாஷித ஸ்லோங்கள் இதோ:-
ஸா பார்யா யா ப்ரியம் ப்ரூதே ச புத்ரோ யத்ர நிர்வ்ருதி: |
தன்மித்ரம் யத்ர விஷ்வாஸ: ஸ தேஷோ யத்ர ஜீவ்யதே ||
இனிமையாகப் பேசும் மனைவியே உண்மையான மனைவி, சுலபமாக அணுகக் கூடிய மகனே நல்ல மகன், நம்பிக்கைக்குரிய நண்பனே நல்ல நண்பன். இப்படி இருக்கக்கூடிய தேசத்தில் தான் நாம் வசிக்க வேண்டும்.
She is the real wife who speaks sweetly, he is the true son with whom father feels at ease, he is a real friend who can be trusted and that is the true abode where we can make our living.

மித்ர த்ரோஹி க்ருதக்னஸ்ச யஸ்ச விஷ்வாஸதாதக: |
த்ரயஸ்தே நரகம் யாந்தி யாவஸ்சந்த்ராதிவாகரௌ ||
மித்ர துரோகி, நன்றியில்லாத ஒருவன், நம்பிக்கை மோசம் செய்தவன் – இந்த மூவரும் சூரிய சந்திரர் உள்ள வரை நரகத்திலேயே இருப்பர்.
A person who has turned a traitor to his friend, one who is ungrateful and who has betrayed his trust – these three go to hell and remain there as long as the moon and the sun shine. He whose heart is fearless and yet

உதயே ஸவிதா ஸ்வதோ ரக்தஷ்சாஸ்தமனே ததா |
சம்பத்தௌ ச விபத்தௌ ச மஹதாமேகரூபதா ||
உதய காலத்திலும் சூரியன் சிவப்பாகக் காட்சியளிக்கிறான். அஸ்தமன காலத்திலும் சிவப்பாகக் காட்சியளிக்கிறான். மஹத்தான பெரியோர் அதே போல செல்வம் இருந்த போதும், அது இல்லாத போதும் (சம்பத் இருந்த போதும் விபத்து காலத்திலும்) கூட ஒரே மாதிரியாக இருக்கின்றனர்.
The sun is red at its rising and red also at the time of its setting. The great people remain what they are in their prosperity as well as in adversity.

அபயம் ஹ்ருதயம் யஸ்ய சதயம் சாபி ஸர்வதா |
ஜயஸ்தஸ்ய யஷஸ்தஸ்ய ச ஸ்வர்கோபி ப்ரஷஸ்யதே ||
எவன் ஒரு அஞ்சாநெஞ்சனாக இருந்து, தயை உடையவனாக இருக்கிறானோ
அவன் எங்கும் வெற்றியையே அடைவான், புகழைப் பெறுவான், அவனை ஸ்வர்க்கமும் போற்றும்.
He whose heart is fearless and yet full of compassion, becomes victorious and famous and even in heaven he is eulogized.

குணோ பூஷயதே ரூபம் சீலம் பூஷயதே குலம் |
சித்திர்பூஷயதே வித்யாம் போகோ பூஷயதே தனம் ||
ஒருவனின் உருவத்தை அலங்கரிப்பது அவனது குணம், ஒருவனது ஒழுக்கமே அவனது குலத்தை அலங்கரிக்கிறது, ஒருவனது பண்பே அவனது கல்வியை அலங்கரிக்கிறது, ஒருவனது போகமே அவனது செல்வத்தை அலங்கரிக்கிறது.
Meritorious excellence adorns a person, noble disposition adorns a family, successful accomplishment adorns learning and happy use of money adorns
Wealth.
