Reflexive verb Kol கொள் is used to say what you do it for yourself. If one does something to oneself and then reflexive verb Kol is used as a suffix to the converbial form of a verb.
In short, Converbial form of a verb+ KOL+ PGN
Aadi , Paadi are the converbial of the verbs Aaadu=Dance; Paadu= sing.
The converbial forms are Aadi, Paadi respectively.
You add Kol according to PGN
First person past tense
Naan aadik konden = நான் ஆடிக் கொண்டேன்

If it is Vaa= come, the converbial for is Vandhu
Third Person Feminine Future will be
Aval Vandhu Kolvaal ( she would come herself)= அவள் வந்து கொள்வாள்

If it is Go= Po, the converbial form of Go is Poy
I myself go (First Person Masculine, Singular , Present Tense) Naan Poyk Kolkiren; normally we would make it emphatic by adding EE to pronoun Naan(I)
It will be Naane Poyk Kolkiren= I myself go நான் போய்க் கொள்கிறேன் ; emphatic நானே போய்க் கொள்கிறேன்

Strangely South Indian Tamils don’t give respect to a baby girl or baby boy and use the verb that is used for lower life.
Sri Lankan Tamils give too much respect with R ending verbs
Even for a child they say அவரே சாப்பிட்டுக்கொள்வார்
