Pure ecstasy takes the form of a white powder. It is known as MDMA which is short for 3,4 Methylenedioxymethamphetamine. Although police seizures of MDMA powder have increased in recent years, it remains less common than ecstasy tablets or capsules. Ecstasy is also very occasionally sold as crystals.
