In social media and magazines, we see lot of predictions based on this and that. Most of them are concocted by modern astrologers to cheat people and make money. They may connect a plant or herb or a gem or a colour and say you are lucky or unlucky. But those cunning guys never give the source of such fake predictions. But if something comes from the mouth of Varahamihira, one of the greatest astrologers cum astronomers, then we must listen to him. He was so humber and say that he compiled all the information from old Hindu books; that means wht he says is at least 2000-year-old.
World famous Varahamihira beats Leonardo Da Vinci and Thomas Alva Edison who were attributed thousands of things and inventions. If one reads Brhat Samhita (Encyclopaedic work) and Brhat Jataka (Astrology book) written by Varahamihira in Sanskrit, they will know that all the science were flourishing in ancient India 2000 years ago.
Here is a list of 27 stars and the general character of people born under them . every Hindu knows his or her birth star. But a knowledgeable person will easily understand the 7.951 billion people on earth can’t be divided into 27 groups for the sake of predictions! Moreover each star is subdivided into 4 more parts; that means there may be variations among the people with same birth star.
For instance, myself and my wife have Uthradam as birth star, but we fall under different Hindu zodiac signs (Dhanur and Makara Rasis).
So take this bit as general predictions and not precise:

प्रियभूषणः स्वरूपः सुभगो दक्षोऽश्विनीषु मतिमांश्च ।
कृतनिश्चयसत्यारुग्दक्षः सुखितश्च भरणीषु ॥ १ ॥

priyabhūṣaṇaḥ svarūpaḥ subhago dakṣo’śvinīṣu matimāṃśca |
kṛtaniścayasatyārugdakṣaḥ sukhitaśca bharaṇīṣu || 1 ||

1.A person born when the Moon passes through the asterism of Aśvinī will be fond of ornaments, will be of fine appearance, of amiable manners, skilled in work and intelligent. A person born when the Moon passes through the asterism of Bharaṇī will be successful at work, truthful, free from diseases, able and free from grief.

बहुभुक्परदाररतस्तेजस्वी कृत्तिकासु विख्यातः ।
रोहिण्यां सत्यशुचिः प्रियंवदः स्थिरः स्वरूपश्च ॥ २ ॥

bahubhukparadāraratastejasvī kṛttikāsu vikhyātaḥ |
rohiṇyāṃ satyaśuciḥ priyaṃvadaḥ sthiraḥ svarūpaśca || 2 ||

2. A person born when the Moon passes though the asterism of Kṛttikā will be a glutton, fond of the wives of other men, of bright appearance and of wide-spread fame. A person born when the Moon passes through the asterism of Rohiṇī will be truthful, will not covet the property of other men, will be of cleanly habits, of sweet speech, of firm views and of fine appearance.

चपलश्चतुरो भीरुः पटुरुत्साही धनी मृगे भोगी ।
शठगर्वितचण्डकृतघ्नहिंस्रपापश्च रौद्रर्क्षे ॥ ३ ॥
capalaścaturo bhīruḥ paṭurutsāhī dhanī mṛge bhogī |
śaṭhagarvitacaṇḍakṛtaghnahiṃsrapāpaśca raudrarkṣe || 3 ||
3. A person born when the Moon passes through the asterism of Mṛgaśīrṣa will be of no firm views, will be able, timid, of good speech, of active habits, rich and will indulge in sexual pleasures. A person born when the Moon passes through the asterism of Ārdrā will be insincere, of irascible temper, ungrateful, troublesome and addicted to wicked deeds.

अल्पेन च सन्तुष्टः पुनर्वसौ जायते मनुजः ॥ ४ ॥

alpena ca santuṣṭaḥ punarvasau jāyate manujaḥ || 4 ||
4. A person born when the Moon passes through the asterism of Punarvasu will be devout and of patient habits, will live in comfort, will be good natured, quiet, of wrong views, sickly, thirsty and pleased with trifles.

5. A person born when the Moon passes through the asterism of Puṣya will have a control over his passions, will be generally liked, will be learned in the Śāstras, will be rich and will be fond of doing acts of charity. A person born when the Moon passes through the asterism of Āśleṣā will not be attentive to the work of other men, will be a promiscuous eater, will be sinful, ungrateful and skilled in deceiving other men.

प्रियवाग्दाता द्युतिमानटनो नृपसेवको भाग्ये ॥ ६ ॥

priyavāgdātā dyutimānaṭano nṛpasevako bhāgye || 6 ||
6. A person born when the Moon passes through the asterism of Maghā will have numerous servants, will worship the Devas and the Pitṛs, and will be engaged in important works. A person born when the Moon passes through the asterism of Pūrvaphālguni will be of sweet speech, will be liberal in his gifts, will be of wandering habits and will serve under kings.

7. A person born when the Moon passes through the asterism of Uttaraphālguni will be generally liked, will earn money by his learning and will live in comfort and luxury. A person born when the Moon passes through the asterism of Hasta will be of active habits, full of resources, shameless, merciless, a thief and a drunkard.

दान्तो वणिक्तृषालुः प्रियवाग्धर्माश्रितः स्वातौ ॥ ८ ॥

8. A person born when the Moon passes through the asterism of Citrā will wear clothes of various colours and flowers, and will be of beautiful eyes and limbs. A person born when the Moon passes through the asterism of Svāti will be of a mild and quiet nature, will control his passions and desires, will be skilled in trade and merciful, will be unable to bear thirst, will be of sweet speech and will be disposed to do acts of charity.
