If a tree is firm why should it fear a storm?

Betel nut tree
5660. வாழை வடக்கு ஈனும் வான் கமுகு தெற்கு ஈனும்.
Plantain trees put forth their bunches to the north, and arica-nut trees, on the south.
5606. வாகை இளம்பிஞ்சு கண்டவர்கள் இல்லை, வாகான தென்னம்பிள்ளை கண்டவர்கள் இல்லை.

5133. மரம் வெட்டுகிறவனுக்கு நிழலும், மண் தோண்டுகிறவனுக்கு இடமும்கொடுக்கும்.
The tree affords shade to him who fells it, the earth supportshim who digs it.
5134. மரம் ஏறிக் கை விட்டவனும், கடன் வாங்கிக் கடன் கொடுத்தவனும் கெட்டான். He who let go his hold after climbing a tree, and he who borrowed money to lend, came to grief.
5135. மரம் வைத்தவன் தண்ணீர் வார்ப்பான்.
He who planted the tree will water it.
