The name Burma is the corrupted form of Brahmadesa; scholars agree that Burma is changed in Burmese language to Myanmar. M=B or B=M change is universal; Hindus know that Mumbai was changed into Bombay by the British. In Tamil also we see M=B changes in Bandar= Mandi; Panini himself has given Madra= Badra desa example 2700 years ago.
People used to say that Brahma lied to Shiva and so Shiva cursed that there wont be any temple for him. But we see Brahma temples in many places including Pushkar in Rajasthan. In Tiruppatur near Trichy is Brahmapureeswarar, where a huge Brahma statue is worshipped by thousands of Hindus. More crowd is seen in Brahma’s shrine than main deity Shiva. Almost all Shiva temples in Tamil Nadu have a shrine or statue for Brahma.
In the Guru sloka/hymn also first comes Gurur Brahma; this is to show that he is not relegated to back position. But his temples are very few.

Brahma in Prambhanan, Indonesia
Six Brahmas in Burma
Brahma is shown with Shiva and Vishnu in the Ananta Sayana relief in Thaton and Hmawza.
Two Brahma statues are in Rangoon (now Yangoon) museum and Pagan (now Bagan) museum.
Another Brahma figure can be seen in the pillars of Manuha Temple in Pagan.
Broken images of Brahma were found in two more places.
The Rangoon Museum Brahma is carved in greyish soapstone. He is in Padmasana with three heads and folded hands (Fourth head is behind). He is with matted lock of hair beautifully dressed in the Jata mukuta style crowned over with a floral ornament.
Though Pagan museum Brahma is similar to this, there is a gap of two centuries between them. This one is a product of Indian artist similar to late Gupta period, not later than 10th century CE.

Nanpaya Temple in Pagan
Brahma in Cleveland Museum, U S A
At Burma’s Nan-hpaya Temple in Pagan, among the finest carvings in the entire temple are a set of four bas-relief panels of Lord Brahma. They appear on the inner sanctum walls, facing the presiding deity there. Carved from single stone blocks rather than a slab, the blocks are interlocked to form the panel, reminiscent of Java or Cambodian sculptures
This temple was the residential house of the defeated king Manuha. He is a Talaing. IT IS THE CORRUPTED FORM OF TELUGU’S TELENGANA.
Kanchi Paramacharya (1894-1994) has already shown that Dhillon in North India is a corruption of ‘Tri Linga’ Desa. Tri Linga Desa is changed to Telengana.
They were originally from Telengna area of Andhra Pradesh. King Anawrahta (corrupted form of Anirudhdha) defeated him and imprisoned him in Pagan.
Brahma is seated on lotus flower in Lilaasana posture; he is holding two lotus flowers; hair is arranged in Jatamukuta fashion and one can see his carefully intertwined plaits. Sacred thread is hanging from his left shoulder. Four images are similar. Brahma holding lotus flowers in both hands is very rare.
