1.This town in Maharashtra is is considered as a pilgrimage spot owing to its revered temples and religious institutions; The best places to visit include Mallinath Digambar Temple, Aundha Nagnath, Tulajadevi Sansthan, Sant Namdev Sansthan.

2. Important Jain pilgrimage centre in Bihar; Known for its agro-based industries; it  is renowned for its litchi and banana production. An iconic attraction is the Mahatma Gandhi Setu, a bridge built over the river Ganga.

3. This Dam is built across the Mahanadi River, about 15 kilometres (9 mi) from Sambalpur in the state of Odisha in India. It is the longest earthen dam .

4. It is an ancient city and important Hindu pilgrimage site in Uttarakhand state, where the River Ganges exits the Himalayan foothills. Famous for its Ganga Arti.

5. The city is noted for its monuments which includes the masterpiece of Charminar and the fort of Golconda. There are a multitude of masjids, temples, churches and bazaars in the city.

6. This city in Madhya Pradesh  where the Narmada River flows and consists nabhi kund(centre of river Narmada ). There are also many temples dedicated to lord Shiva, out of which the famous temple built by Pandavas is also situated here. According to beliefs it was built during the Mahabharat era in a single night .

7. It is an ancient village in Karnataka. It’s dotted with numerous ruined temple complexes from the Vijayanagara Empire. On the south bank of the River Tungabhadra is the 7th-century Hindu Virupaksha Temple. A carved stone chariot stands in front of the huge Vittala Temple site.

8. This town in Uttar Pradesh is  known for its many temples and religious spaces. It is believed that Naimisharayan here is where the puranas were written. Sarvan Devi temple is located here.
