Thailand is a Buddhist country. There are innumerable Buddha temples; but it had a Hindu past. South Asian countries including Thailand came under the rule of different dynasties at different times. They were all supporters of Hinduism. Ramayana and Mahabharata sculptures and paintings are everywhere.
The name of the airport in Bangkok is Swarnabhumi (Golden Earth) airport, where a huge statue of Churning the Milky Ocean from the Puranas is installed.
If one reads the names of Thai kings, one will find pure Sanskrit names.

If one reads the history of Thai literature, one can find Ramkien (Thai Ramayana) Dhananjai stories. They are copies of Tenali Rama stories of South India. Even the name Dhanajay is Sanskrit.
All the scripts of South east Asian countries have their roots in Brahmi script of India. Some are derived from Pallava Grantha of Tamil Nadu.
The official emblem of the government is Garuda , Vahana of Vishnu. Last ten kings have the title, Rama. Present king is Rama X.

The Grand Palace in the capital city has about 200 paintings showing the Ramayana anecdotes. Grand Palace statues have Sanskrit names like Apsaras, Asura Pakshi, Kinnara etc. Figures of Garuda and Naga are in hundreds.
Indra’s name is everywhere. One can see boards or signposts with Indra’s name. I saw Indra’s Vahana Airavata with four heads in road junctions.
Mother Earth worship also has only Sanskrit names such as Dharani, Prithvi, Vasundhara for Earth.

Royal Ploughing ceremony done annually which reminds of Ploughing ceremony of Janaka in Ramayana. Ayuthaya (Ayodhya) was previous capital of Thailand.
National Flower of the country is Cassia Fistula. It is used in Ayurvedic medicines and in worship of Lord Siva. In Tamil it is called Kondrai.
Brahmin Priests are officiating the Royal ceremonies Tamil Tiruvempavai is used in Royal palace.
Thai New Year coincides with Tamil New Year Day in April because they are based on Solar movement.
