- No, the answer is not Rs 1/. If the cost of the bottle were Re 1/ and that of the cork 10 Paise then the bottle would cost only 90 Paise more than the cork. Considering it more carefully we come out with the correct answer : 105 Paise.
- ‘Cipher’ means Zero. The word ‘Cipher’ comes from the Arabic Sifr. Our word ‘Zero’ is derived from the word.
- The answer is not 30 hours. At the end of 27 hours he is 3 ft from the top. And during the 28th hour he climbs the remaining 3 ft and he is out. So the answer is 28 hours.
