 லண்டன் முருகன் தேர் திருவிழா;London Skanda Temple Rath Yatra 2023 (Post.12,412)

London Murugan Temple in Eastham, London celebrated its annual Ratha Yatra along the main streets near the temple. This Skanda/ Kartikeya temple (Murugan in Tamil) attracts thousands of devotees every year. Today (13-8-2023) thousands of devotes stood on both sides of the roads and did traditional worship with Coconut, Bananas, Flowers , Purana Kumbha, Lamps etc.

Shops and restaurants gave free prasad such as Sundal (Boiled pulses and spiced), Sweet Pongal, Tamarind bath, Laddu with water bottles, rose milk,  and Tea.

Saravana Bhavan is famous in distribution of free Prasad and a big crowd gathered in front of it to get tea and Sundal and Sweet Pongal

Shirdi Baba temple in East ham gave Laddu, rose milk and Tea. Volunteers pulled the Ratha (Ther in Tamil) for three hours.

Ratha and Tamil Ther are cognate words. The mirror image of Ratha is Ther. If you repeat Rathe, Rathe quickly you will get Ther. Linguists call this Mirror image. This is another proof to show that Tamil and Sanskrit came from Lord Shiva like Panini and Bharati said.

The temple feeds thousands of devotees today.

இன்று 13-8-2023 ஞாயிற்றுக்கிழமை லண்டனில் ஆயிரக்கணக்கான பக்தர்களுடன் லண்டன் முருகன் கோவில் தேர்த் திருவிழா நடந்தேறியது. வழி நெடுகிலும் பக்தர்கள் தேங்காய் பழம் நைவேத்யம் செய்து முருகப்பெருமானை வணங்கினர்.

முருகன் தேரை இழுத்துச் செல்ல போட்டா போட்டி . நீண்ட வரிசையில் நின்று தொண்டர்கள் தேரை இழுத்துச் சென்றனர் . பெண்கள் சுமக்க முடியாத அளவுக்கு தங்க நகைகளையும் , மல்லிகைப் பூவையும் அணிந்து வந்தனர்

வழி  நெடுகிலும் தண்ணீர் பாட்டில், காப்பி, டீ , ரோஸ்மில்க் , புளியோதரை, லட்டு, சுண்டல் விநியோகிக்கப்பட்டது. சரவண பவன் வாசலில் பெரிய கூட்டம் ; சுண்டல், சர்க்கரை பொங்கல் கிடைத்தது. ஷீரடி பாபா கோவிலில் லட்டு, டீ , ரோஸ் மில்க்  விநியோகம்.

ஈஸ்ட் ஹாம் பகுதியில் உள்ள லண்டன் முருகன் கோவில் இந்தியர்களால் நடத்தப்படுகிறது . அங்கு இன்று ஆயிரக்கணக்கானோருக்கு சாப்பாடு பரிமாறப்பட்டது .

சென்ற ஆண்டு மலையாளிகளின் பாண்ட் இருந்தது. இன்று ஒரு பெண் நாயனம் உள்பட மேள தாளம் முழங்கியது.

தேரின் பின்னால் பெண்கள் கோஷ்டி பஜனை செய்து கொண்டு வந்தனர்.
