1. – City in Maharashtra, known as Cotton City. Famous for its Navaratri celebrations.
2.– City belongs to Union territory of Pondicherry; but 879 Kms away from it in Andhra Pradesh. Once ruled by the French.
3. -City in Karnataka. The area is also renowned for its vast stretch of fertile black soil which is the main reason for bumper harvests especially of red gram, hence the district is also referred to as the “Daal Bowl” of the state. It also has a cluster of cement industries and a distinct stone popularly known as “Malakheda Stone”.
4. Hill station in Tamil Nadu. It is known for its production of spices, coffee, silk and other textiles. Loop Road, Lake and Kiliyur Waterfalls are other attractions.

6.– Town in Karnataka famous for arecanut cultivation and beautiful waterfalls nearby. It is in the Western Ghats.
7.– Town in Haryana ; This town is known for the cluster of plywood units and paper factories; attractions include Panchmukhi Hanuman Mandir, Kalesar Wildlife Sanctuary and Gurudwaras.
8. – Village in Karnataka It is famous for two massive rock outcrops known as the Bhairaveshwara Shikhara and the Mohini Shikhara (“Shikhara” means “mountain peak”). It is the cleanest village in South India.
