Hindu festival Navaratri is very popular among women. In South India women arrange a Doll Show called Golu and do Prasad/ spicy food everyday with pulses. They exchange gifts by mutual visits to different houses. Temples arrange big decorations and Sabhas arrange big musical concerts. In Gujarat and places where Gujaratis live Garba is organised. Wherever Bengalis live they celebrate the Durga Puja on a grand scale. In Mysore Dasarah attracts several thousand people. In North India Ram Lila is celebrated. Effigies of demons are burnt in bonfire. In short, it is celebrated all over India. No Sakti temple miss it. Tenth day is called Vijaya Dasami (Victorious Tenth Day) and one day before that Sarasvati Puja/ Ayudha Puja is celebrated
