Tripunithura temple in Kochi is based on a Hindu Time Travel story. Hindu scriptures have many Time Travel stories from Mahabharata times.

Following Time Travel stories beat H G Well’s Time Travel novel and Einstein’s theory on the speed of light.

Oldest Time Travel story is in Mahabharata. Arjuna was taken to Indra Loka , another universe, by the pilot Matali in a space shuttle and brought him back to earth. This is in Vana Parva of Mahabharata. On their way, they saw lights moving in space. When Arjuna wondered what they were, Matali explained that those are good souls from earth. Here we know one more fact. Holy souls can take “Light form” and live for ever.

Second Time Travel incident also happened when Arjuna was alive. A Brahmin lost his ten children and complained to Arjnua. People believed that if something unusual happened, the ruling king is responsible for it. Then Arjuna sought the help of Lord Krishna and he took him and the Brahmin in a space shuttle to heaven and brought back ten children alive. This is in Puranas and Nammalvar’s Divya Prabandham poem. That gives amazing details about Time Travel.

One more Time Travel story is available in Puranas. Revathi was so tall and so his father Raivat cant fid a suitable match on earth; so he went to heaven. There we come across Time Dilation theory. People in the heaven said that the time on earth and space were different and several centuries have elapsed during his travel and he was advised people on earth now are shorter than previous eras.

Tamil Time Travel Anecdotes

We have two Time Travel incidents in Tamil Tevaaram poems. Boy Saint Thiru Jnana Sambandar lived during the day of Pallava Emperor Mahendra Varman (600 CE). When Sambandar went to Madras, a devotee complained that he lost his daughter Poom Paavai in spite of his great devotion Lord Shiva. Then Sambandar asked the gentleman to bring the ash of that little girl. Immediately he prayed to lord Shiva and the girl came alive as a teenage girl.  That showed that she was growing according to her age in another universe.

Later Tamil saint Sundarar was crossing a street where one Brahmin family was celebrating Sacred Thread ceremony for a boy and the opposite house was mourning and crying. When Sundarar wondered what happened, his devotees told him that both boys went together to the river many years ago and one boy was devoured by a crocodile. Saint Sundarar was moved an prayed to Lord Shiva and the boy came alive.

All these stories are older than 1000 years. Arjuna story is 5000 years old, but yet we have very clear accounts of Time Travel.

Light travels at a constant, finite speed of 186,000 mi/sec. A traveler, moving at the speed of light, would circum-navigate the equator approximately 7.5 times in one second. By comparison, a traveler in a jet aircraft, moving at a ground speed of 500 mph, would cross the continental U.S. once in 4 hours.

If a person travels at the speed of light he will be  MARKANDEYA for ever i.e. Ever Sixteen years of age. At the  same time Markandeya’s father on earth would have born several times during several times.  But Einstein said that no one can travel at the speed of light. And there is Grandfather Paradox as well. Suppose I travel at the speed of light and kills my grandfather I couldnot have born. But Hindus showed Einstein wrong on two counts. Hindus , though travelled in time never obstructed its path; they never killed anyone in tha five or six Time Travel stories.

WHAT NASA SCIENTISTS CAN LEARN FROM HINDUS IS

We can travel in Time.

People who died on earth are living in another universe.

Hindus talk about Mano Vegam= Mind Speed= Thought speed. We can travel to another universe in Thought speed.

In Arjuna and Tamil saints’ anecdotes we see physical bodies came alive from heaven and they were grown according to their age on earth.

In Nammalvar’s (Vaishnavite saint of 8^th Century CE)  poem, we have amazing details. It clearly showed Einstein was wrong.

Krishna took the Brahmin and Arjuna in his space shuttle and brought back ten dead children alive within a day. Commentators interpreted it as happened in ONE MUHURTHA TIME. Within 48 minutes Krishna’s shuttle went to heaven and came back to earth with3+10 people.

So Hindus knew a short cut, probably a Time Hole or Worm Hole (as we read in Science Fiction Novels)

What NASA scientists must know is

Time Travel is possible . Hindus used Mano Vegam= Speed of Thought

Faster than light travel is possible.

People can travel Bodily but in Light form. Nammalvar poem talks about Light form.

People never die. They live in another universe. But it may be right in case of children who had shorter life. Because all the above stories are about children who lost their lives prematurely.

Pozthu in Tamil= Muhurtha in Sanskrit= 48 Minutes

1 minute = 60 seconds. However, according to the Indian system, a day is divided into 60 ghatis or ghatikas or nadis. Two ghatis make a muhurta. Equivalently, a muhurta is 1/30th of a day or 48 minutes.

Tripunithura Temple

Tripunithura temple of Vishnu is in Kochi. The Sanctum sanctorum (Garbha Griha) is in Chariot shape to remind the above episode. More over annual festival of this Inter Galactic Travel is celebrated.

We already know the movements of Inter Galactic Taveller Narada. The deity in this temple is Santhana Krishna, Child form of Lord Vishnu. Anyone who longs for a child can go and get the blessings of the Lord.
