There are over 200 pictures in this YEAR 1928 book. I will post them batch by batch. I remember posting pictures from two other German books in the past. This is the third German book, I am using.
In part three strange Hindu saints are pictured. Several Hindu saints “torture” themselves by lying on a bed of nails or hanging sharp instruments from different parts of their body. But for them it is not at all “torture”. They want to show the world that Hindus treat body as a shirt or an upper garment which can be discarded easily. And they wanted to show pain, or no pain depends upon your mental status. What is pain for us is NOT a pain for them.
