Uttar Pradesh’s Etah district is known for its artisans who get orders from across the country and abroad for bells used in temples. There are nearly 300 factories in Etah’s Jalesar that make these bells.
One such order is the cause of excitement among Etah’s artisans – a 2,100 kg bell for the Ram Temple in Ayodhya. This bell is 6-feet tall and 5-feet wide.

Morari Bapu
The donations received by the newly constructed Ram Mandir are amazing. Crores of rupees are donated by the well wishers in addition to gems and jewels. Morari Bapu leads with Rs 11.3 crore for Ram Temple construction. Spiritual guru Morari Bapu has made the largest donation for the construction of the Ayodhya Ram Temple which is also being funded by donations from his followers.
As per the details available on the Shri Ram Janmabhoomi Teerth Kshetra Trust website, Bapu contributed Rs 11.3 crore to help build the Ram Temple. His supporters in the United States, Canada, and the United Kingdom also contributed individually, totalling Rs 8 crore.. A ceremonial donation of Rs. 2,11,11,111 (Rs 2 crore 11 lakh 11 thousand one hundred and eleven) was presented on behalf of BAPS Swaminarayan Sanstha by Sadguru Pujya Ishwarcharan Swami to Pujya Shri Govinddev Giriji of the Mandir and Gujarat Chief Minister Vijaybhai Rupani in 2021.

According to the Economic Times, Shri Ram Janmabhoomi Teerth Kshetra Trust which was formed by the center in February 2020 to handle the construction and maintenance of the Ram Mandir has received ₹3,500 crore in donations
Prakash Gupta, the office in-charge of the temple trust, reported that over the past 11 days, approximately Rs 8 crore were collected in cash donations, while the amount received through cheques and online transactions totalled around Rs 3.50 crore. The donation can be made online by visiting the official website at https://srjbtkshetra.org/ and clicking on ‘Donate’ under the ‘Donation’ tab and log in using the mobile number. After that, individuals can authenticate using the OTP received and choose a bank account (SBI, PNB, or BoB) for donation.

An elderly couple, Satya Prakash Sharma and his wife Rukmini Sharma, made the 400-kg lock. A resident of Aligarh, Satya passed away recently. His wish was that the lock should be gifted to the Ram temple in Ayodhya.
Mahamandaleshwar Annapurna Bharti Puri, an Aligarh resident, made arrangements to bring the lock to Ayodhya. He also talked about how the lock would make Aligarh internationally famous for its lock industry.

Ram Mandir fillip to fetch revenues worth ₹25,000 crore to UP in FY25
Total expenditure by tourists (domestic + foreign) in UP may cross ₹4 lakh crore mark, says SBI Research
The Uttar Pradesh (UP) government is set to laugh all the way to the bank with the Ram Janmabhoomi Mandir boost to the state’s economy. The grand temple is expected to fetch additional revenue to the tune of ₹25,000 crore for the state, according to estimates from SBI Research.
“Given the completion of Ram Mandir in Ayodhya this year and a melange of initiatives taken by the UP government to promote tourism, we believe that the total expenditure by tourists (domestic + foreign) in UP may cross ₹4 lakh crore mark by end of this year helping the state government earn an additional tax revenue of ₹20,000-25,000 crore due to huge spurt in number of tourists during FY25,” said SBI Research in a report titled ‘Where Latin America meets Scandinavia: The Road to Salvation passes through Uttar Pradesh’.
Both the central and the state governments had been in the process of imparting a mega infrastructure facelift to the city ever since the Supreme Court pronounced a verdict in favour of Ram Janmabhoomi Mandir in Ayodhya in 2019. The entire process was expedited after the foundation stone laying for a Grand temple in 2020. Infrastructure construction major L&T built the temple at a cost of ₹1,800 crore, which was met largely through donations.
The city has already witnessed a new airport at an investment of ₹1,400 crore and a revamped railway station. Meanwhile, the central government has committed investment to the tune of ₹11,000 crore while the state government has announced to pump in another ₹30,500 crore by the end of this year. Ayodhya Master Plan 2031 envisages an additional ₹85,000 crore worth of investments in the city till 2031.

Full Temple by December 2024
The temple, which had its Pran Pratishtha (consecration) ceremony on January 22, 2024, is set to be fully completed by December 2024 .Although the temple has been opened to the public, a section of it remains unfinished.
The temple’s architecture is based on the traditional Nagara style, known for its towering spires or shikharas and intricate carvings. It spans an impressive area of 1.1 hectares (2.7 acres) with dimensions of 110 meters in length, 72 meters in width, and a maximum height of 49 meters. The complex will include 13 new temples dedicated to Lord Ram’s family and a separate one for Hanuman.
