Some time ago I listed the history facts in Vishnu Sahasranama (VS). I want to give a complete picture now.

VS lists 1000+ names of Lord Vishnu. Bhishma did not say anything about history. But later kings and queens took the names from the 1000++ naamaas/names.

If one historian reads it, he will be surprised to find famous kings and dynasties, from Asoka to Choza, and from Vedic Civilization to Harappan Civilization.

Vikrami – word No.909 in VS

Vikrama means taking a stride, as also courage. So, the word means one who is greater than anyone else in these respects, according to Adi Shankara.

My comments

In India, lot of kings from Choza, Pandya and Chalukya dynasties took the name of Vikrama or Vikramaditya.

But the greatest of all is Vikramaditya who ruled from Ujjain in second century BCE. All the stories of Vikram and Vetal are based on this king. He drove out foreigners from India. In 57 BCE someone started Vikram Samvat, a new calendar.

Even Chadra Gupta II took this title.

Aparaajitah — word No.716 in VS

One who is never conquered by internal enemies like attachment and by external enemies like Asuras, according to Adi Shankara.

My comments

Aparajita Varman was the last Pallava Ruler (885-903). The irony is he was killed by Chozas who he helped them by giving Thanjavur area. But same Aditya Choza who received it, killed him in another battle.

Tirhakarah —word No.691 in VS

Tiirtha means Vidyaa, a branch of knowledge or skill. The Lord is called so because He is the source of 14 Vidyaas sanctioned by the Veda as also of Vidyaas outside the pale of Veda. Hayagriva (Vishnu) killed two Asuras Madhu and Kaitabha and then imparted Vedas to Brahma. For Asuras he imparted Vidyas outside the pale of Veda, according to Adi Shankara.

My Comments

We come across similar word Tirthankara in Jainism.

There were 24 of them and the last, 24th Tirthankara Varthamana Mahavira, lived around 600 BCE. Other 23rd Tirthankaras lived before them, some even say from the time of Harappan Civilization.

Tirthankara, in Jainism, a saviour who has succeeded in crossing over life’s stream of rebirths and has made a path for others to follow.

Bahusirah- word No.115 in VS

One with innumerable heads. Purusasukta (Rig Veda) says

Sahasra sirsaa purushah- the purusa with innumerable/1000 heads.

My comments

In the Indus/Sarswathi Valley Civilization the famous Pasupati seal has many heads. We may link it to it.

The same seal has horn of buffalo. Even in Tamil we say Are you a Komban/horned fellow? Are you that big/important?

Because in the ancient world leaders only wore turbans/ horns/ crowns in later days.

Naika sringinah – 763

Not one horned is the literal meaning. But Shankara says,

One with four horns. Taittiriya Aranyaka 1-10-17 says

Catvaari srngaa trayosya paadaa

Dve siirse sapta-hastaaso sya

Tridhaa baddho vrsabho roraviiti

Mahaadevo martyaan aavisesa

-The Great Lord of the form of Vrsabha(ox) with four horns, three legs and seven arms tied in three places, has entered into human beings making sound.

Rig Veda 4-58-3 also referred to Four Horns.

Since Rig Veda and Yajur Veda were Pre Indus Valley literature, no one referred to it later.

Prof. Wilson and others date Rig Veda before 2000 BCE, that is before Harappan civilization.

Caturmurtih – 765

Adi Shankara says,

One with four aspects as Viraat, Suutraatmaa, Avyaakrta and Turiiya Or one with FOUR HORNS with colours white, red, yellow and black.

Srngi – 797

One who at the time of Pralaya (Cosmic Dissolution) assumed the form of a fish having prominent antenna.

Here also we come across horn/antenna.

In the VS, we see god as One Horned Person, Four Horned person, No horn person. All these words may not make much sense today, because hey were thousands of years old. Now we see horned people or leaders only among aborigines in the forests or hills.

Mahasrngah- word number 536

Shankara says,

One with great antenna. The Lord is called so becausewhen He took the form of fish, He played in the cosmic waters with a boat tied on its antenna. This Flood- Fish- Boat story is in all cultures and all religions

My comments

This HORN culture was in the beginning of civilization. Hinduism is such an old religion, and  we recite it every day, to remember the history that was 10,000 years ago.

VS is recited by millions of Hindus around the world ( I recite it everyday in London)

Hitler’s Swastikaa

Svastidah- 901

Svastikrt- 902

Svasti- 903

Svastibuk- 904

Svastidaksinah – 905

Svasti means auspicious.

We find Svastika seal in Indus Valley sites and in all ancient cultures. But the fact is only Sanskrit word Swastika is used in all books around the world. Only Hindus use it until this day. Hitler was misled by Max Muller gang. Since Max Muller boasted I Am German and so I am Aryan in his early writings Hitler took only two points from him. He declared himself as Aryan, the super race, and used Swastika symbol in military uniforms and German Flags. Now if Europeans see this seal they shake and shiver and wet their trousers. Numerous buildings were reconstructed because they looked like Swastika!! Such a scare.

But Tamil inscriptions and Sanskrit inscriptions have this figure and word in the very beginning.

North Indian Wedding invitations carry this even today. Temples all over India use this symbol until this day. The fact that it is used only by Hindus from Indus/Sarasvati Valley civilization to  this day, it belongs to Hindus and originated in ancient India.

Nandah – 528

One endowed with all perfection or the word can be Aanandah meaning that in the Lord there are no joys born of sense contacts.

Chadogya Upanishad says 7-23-1,

Yo vai bhuumaatat sukham naalpe sukham asti- what is full that is happiness; in what is small there is no happiness. This is Shankara’s interpretation.

My comments

English Historians said India has no history before Nanda Vamsa and started our history only from Nanda Vamsa of 6th century BCE. After Indus Valley excavation they added that chapter as the first chapter. But never explained 1500 year gap between the two. They fooled all Indians saying they had no history for 1500 years.

Though Max Muller gang put Vedas in 1200 BCE range, archaeologists did not confirm it because there is no archaeological evidence. It is only literary evidence. In short the Western Historians treated us rubbish.

Nanda Vamsa was a mighty empire, but the Nava Nandas were Shudras; they were not Kshatriyas; they treated Brahmins as rubbish. One of the Nvna Nandas pulled the black skinned ugly looking Chanakya, half way through eating Then Chanakya  made a vow to root out Shudra Rule. He found one sturdy fellow among peacock farmers (Mura- Mayura- Maurya- Peacock). Then Chanakya helped him to raise a big army which threw down the mighty Nanda empire.

Maurya Chandra Gupta and Asoka were great peacock eaters. They killed 1000s of peacocks every day for food. Even after embracing Buddhism Asoka did not stop peacock eating. In the available inscription he says I have ordered to kill only two peacocks from today and that too may eventually stop.

So the word Nanda is that important.

xxxx

Asokah – 336

One without the six defects- sorrow, infatuation, hunger, thirst, birth and death.

My comments

We know the famous Emperor Asoka who took Buddhism to nook and corner of the world.

xxxx

Siddarthah  -252

Siddartha was the name of Gautama Buddha who was contemporary of Mahavira, 600 BCE.

xxxx

Mahendrah -268

Many Indian kings had this name. But the most famous was Mahendra Varman, the Pallava king. He was well versed in various arts and literature. He wrote famous Sanskrit Comedy Matta Vilasa Prahasanam. He tortured Appar, the Saivite saint, but later became a Saivite relinquishing Jainism. He lived around 600 CE.
