Rudrah – 114- Word Number in the  VS

One who makes all beings cry at the time of cosmic dissolution. Or one who gives RUD or speech. Or One who drives away RU or sorrows. Sive Puraana says,

Rur dukham dukkha hetuhu vaa

Tad draavayati  yah prabhuh

Rudra ituchyate tasmaat

Sivah paramakaaranam

–RU means sorrow. As the Lord removes all sorrows and their causes, Siva, the ultimate cause, is called Rudra.

Vedah -– 127- Word Number in the VS

He who is of the form of the Vedas. Or one who bestows Jnana or Jiivas. The Gita 10-11 says,

तेषामेवानुकम्पार्थमहमज्ञानजं तम: |
नाशयाम्यात्मभावस्थो ज्ञानदीपेन भास्वता ||B.G.10- 11||

teṣhām evānukampārtham aham ajñāna-jaṁ tamaḥ
nāśhayāmyātma-bhāva-stho jñāna-dīpena bhāsvatā

teṣhām—for them; eva—only; anukampā-artham—out of compassion; aham—I; ajñāna-jam—born of ignorance; tamaḥ—darkness; nāśhayāmi—destroy; ātma-bhāva—within their hearts; sthaḥ—dwelling; jñāna—of knowledge; dīpena—with the lamp; bhāsvatā—luminous

Meaning

Solely out of compassion for them, I, dwelling in their hearts, dispel with the shining lamp of wisdom the darkness born of ignorance. (B.G.10-11)

Caturaatmaa –137- Word Number in the VS

One who for the sake of creation , sustentation and dissolution assumes forms, in each of which there are four groups:

Brahma Daksyaadayah kaalas

Tatha’ivaakhila-jantavah

Vibhuutayo Harer etaah

Jagatah srsti hetavah

Visnor manv’aadayah kaalah

Sarvabhuutaani ca dvija

Sthiter mimitta bhuutasya

Visnor etaa vibhuutayah

Rudrah kaalo’ntk aadyas ca

Samastaas ca’iva jantavah

Caturdhaa  pralayaayaya’itaa

Janaardana -vibhuutayah

Meaning

Brahmaa, Prajaapatis like Daksa, Kaala and Jivas-these are the powers of Vishnu for the purpose of creation. Vishnu, Manus, the Kaala and living beings – these are the powers of Vishnu for the purpose of sustentation. Rudra, Time/Kaala Death / Mrtyu are living beings- these are the powers of Vishnu for the purpose of dissolution.

Upendraha–151- Word Number in the VS

One born as the younger brother of Indra. Or one who is greater than Indra. Harivamsa 2-19-46 says,

Mam’opari yathendrass’tvam sthaapito gobhir isvarah!

Upendra iti krsna tvaam gaasyanti bhuvi devataah

Meaning

The cows have established Thee superior to me as my master. Therefore, O Krishna, the Devas will sing about Thee, addressing Thee as Upendra.

Praamsuh  153- Word Number in the VS

One of great height. Appearing as a dwarf at first before Mahabali, He rose to heights transcending all the worlds. Says Harivamsa 3-71-43/44:

Toye tu patite haste Vaamano’bhud avaamanah

Sarva-deva-mayam ruupam darsayaamaasa vai prabhuh

Bhuuh paadau dyauh siras c’aasya candr’aadityau ca caksusi

Meaning

Immediately after Bali poured water in his hands with the resolve to give the gift asked for  the dwarf Vaamana became  the opposite of a dwarf / Avaamana. The Lord then revealed His form which includes in it all divinities. He revealed His cosmic form having earth as His feet, the sky His head, and the sun and moon as His eyes.
