Ocean of Nectar; Sea of Bliss; Sankara ,Manikkavasagar , Tirumular ; Notes on VC – Part 40 (Post.13,541)
If one says that the best Masala Dosa is available in a particular restaurant, we trust him and go there
If NASA says man has landed on Moon, we believe it.
If a Medical magazine says particular Vitamin or chemical is good, we take it and the same magazine says after ten years that it causes cancer. And we believe it again.
If our saints say that there is one ocean full of nectar (of bliss), we turn a blind eye. We hesitate to understand it or pretend we don’t listen to him.
All Tamil and Sanskrit hymns say it from the top of the mountain.
Sri Ramakrishna Paramahamsa says that there are two types of saints: One group sees the amazing, incredible, gigantic, vast Ocean of Bliss and immediately jumps into it. Like a salt doll that went to the sea to measure the depth of it dissolved in it a few metres down, saints merge with God/Brahman.
Another group ,wonder struck, amazed, runs back and come back to the mundane world and shout
Oh My God; Please come, Please come; I want to show you some amazing incredible source of Joy, Happiness, Bliss.

LAST VERSE IN VIVEKA CHUUDAAMANI
संसाराध्वनि तापभानुकिरणप्रोद्भूतदाहव्यथा
खिन्नानां जलकाङ्क्षया मरुभुवि भ्रान्त्या परिभ्राम्यताम् ।
अत्यासन्नसुधाम्बुधिं सुखकरं ब्रह्माद्वयं दर्शयत्य्
एषा शंकरभारती विजयते निर्वाणसंदायिनी ॥ ५८0 ॥
saṃsārādhvani tāpabhānukiraṇaprodbhūtadāhavyathā
khinnānāṃ jalakāṅkṣayā marubhuvi bhrāntyā paribhrāmyatām |
atyāsannasudhāmbudhiṃ sukhakaraṃ brahmādvayaṃ darśayaty
eṣā śaṃkarabhāratī vijayate nirvāṇasaṃdāyinī || VC 580 ||
VC 580. For those who are afflicted, in the way of the world, by the burning pain due to the (scorching) sunshine of threefold misery, and who through delusion wander about in a desert in search of water – for them here is the triumphant message of Shankara pointing out, within easy reach, the soothing ocean of nectar, Brahman, the One without a second – to lead them on to Liberation.

484. In the ocean of Brahman filled with the nectar of Absolute Bliss, what is to be shunned and what accepted, what is other (than oneself) and what different?

Salt Doll Story
A salt doll went to measure the depth of the ocean. It wanted to tell others how deep the water was. But this it could never do, for no sooner did it get into the water than it melted. Now, who was there to report the ocean’s depth?
What Brahman is cannot be described in Samadhi one attains the knowledge of Brahman – one realises Brahman. In that state reasoning stops altogether, and man becomes mute. He has no power to describe the nature of Brahman.- Sri Ramakrishna Paramahamsa

Transcendental Union Beyond Word and Speech
As salt in water, in Lord I mixed,
Transcending Param and Paraparam states,
Beyond word and speech I in union merged;
“How was It?”-you ask

The Yogi Sees Vision of Past, Present and Future
They traverse Spheres of Sun and Moon
And see vision of Past, Present and Future earth;
And in that Full Moon day the nectar ripens;
Until the Moon drops back from Kundalini,

Caught in the floods of desires
The humans countless sank;
God alone forever stood
