 An article by Saurabh Kwatra was published in the Times of India in 2001. I give below the dates in the article.

The present analysis is a modest attempt to use astronomy, astrology and the science of together in elevating the status of Ramayana from an epic to chronological reality.

The author arrived at the following dates for the important events in Ramayana:

Birthday of Rama- December , 7323 BCE Ram Navami day 9300 years ago)

Marriage with Sita-  April 7, 7307 BCE

Rama’s Exile- November 29, 7306 BCE

Hanuman’s entry into Lanka-  September 1, 7292 BCE

Hanuman’s meeting with Sita- September 2, 7292 BCE

Construction of the bridge /Setu- October 26-30, 7292 BCE

Beginning of great war- November 3, 7292 BCE

Kumbakarna’s death – November 7, 7292 BCE

Ravana was killed by Rama – November 15, 7292 BCE

Rama’s return to Ayodhya- December 6, 7292 BCE

(author explained astronomical positios of stars and planets to justify his conclusion)

Another article shows one has to dig at least 60 meters to get the archaeological evidence for Ramayana which is not possible in North India’s Gangetic plains.

Rig Veda  10,000 Years old (8000 BCE)

In the 1990s, Nevoli  Cori in Turkey was excavated. They have found the sculpture of a bald man, that fits the description of a Vedic priest. It is dated 8000 BCE.

Linguistic studies conducted by R D Gray and Q D Atkinson of the University of Aucland, New Zealand say the oldest Indo European language , which is over 10,000 years old, bears close affinity to Rig Vedic Sanskrit.

These findings confirm the theory proposed by B G Siddharth, Director General of B M Birla Science Centre , that the Rig Vedic civilization could be dated as far back as 10,000 years.
