Annual Thiruppugaz Festival was held in London Murugan Temple Hall on 17-5-2025. Mrs Jayanthi Sundar has been teaching Arunagirinatha’s Thiruppugaz to young and old disciples for decades. Every year her group assemble in London and do Puja to Lord Muruga. They sing selected verses in chorus.Apart from the main Puja, Padapuja of Kanchi Shnkaracharya is also done.
On Saturday Mrs Jayanthi Sundar led her group singing Thiruppgaz verses for more than hour. An added attraction was that little boys and teenagers were also give an opportunity to show their talents. Mr Sundar spoke about the significance of New Kanchi Acharya’s initiation event.
Over 100 people attended the Saturday event. And Mahaprasad was distributed at the end. Gift and Sweet packets were also given to the participants.
