KRIPACHARYA –Twin sister’s name KRIPI
Shantanu found both in a forest and brought them up in Hastinapura.
Kripa learnt warfare along with Shantanu. After the war he accompanied Aswaththama and set fire to Pandava camps killing all the sons of Draupadi.

இருவரும் காட்டில் கைவிடப்பட்ட இரட்டையர் ; அந்த ஆண், பெண் குழந்தைகளை சந்தனு எடுத்துவந்து ஹஸ்தினாபுரத்தில் வளர்த்தான் கிருபன் சந்தனுவுடன் சேர்ந்து போர்க்கலையைப் பயின்றான்; கெளரவ சேனையில் பதினோரு தளபதிகளில் ஒருவனாக நின்று போரிட்டுப் பல வெற்றிகளை பெற்றான் ; இறுதியில் அஸ்வத்தாமனுடன் சேர்ந்து பாண்டவர் கூடாரத்துக்குத் தீ வைத்து திரெளபதியின் புதல்வர்களை அழித்தான்.

Drupada of Paanchaala (Punjab) performed a yagna and Draupadi and her bother Dhristhtadyumna were born in Yaga fire.
Draupadi married all the five Pandava brothers. When Yuthisthira lost her in a game of dice Duryodhana’s brother Dushasana dragged her in open court and pulled the single garment she was wearing. Krishna saved her modesty by making her garment longer and longer through his divine power.
During 13 year stay in the forest, she worked as a servant maid in the palace of king Vrata pf Matsya desa. Her children were killed by Aswaththama at the end of the war. But he ruled as the queen of Hastinapura for 36 years with her husband Yuthisthira. She walked towards Himalaya along with her five husbands and died.

பாஞ்சாலி என்றும் யக்ஞ சேணி என்றும் பெயர்கள் . த்ருபத மன்னன் நடத்திய யாகத்தில் சகோதரன் த்ருஷ்டத்யும்னனுடன் தீயில் அவதரித்த பேரழகி; பாண்டவர் ஐவரையும் மணந்தாள் ; சகுனினியின் விஷமத்தால் பாண்டவர்கள் சூதாட்டத்தில் தோற்றபோது திரௌபதியையும் பணயம் வைக்கத் தூண்டினான். யுதிஷ்டிரன் தோற்றுப்போனபோது சபையோர் சொன்ன புத்திமதியைப் புறக்கணித்து திரெளபதியின் புடவையை துசசாசனன் மூலம் அவிழ்த்தனர் கண்ணன் கிருபையால் அவள் புடவை வளரவே கெளரவர்களால் ஒன்றும் செய்ய இயலவில்லை பதிமூன்றாவது ஆண்டு அஞ்ஞாதவாசத்தின்போது மத்ஸ்ய தேச மன்னன் விராடனிடம் சைரந்த்ரி என்ற பணிப்பெண்ணாகப் பணியாற்றினாள் அங்கு அவளைத் துன்புறுத்திய கீசகனை பீமன் வதம் செய்தான். தன்னை அவமத்தித்த துரியோதனின் தொடையைப் பிளந்து ரத்தத்தை எடுத்து கூந்தலில் தடவும்வரை கூந்தலை அலங்கரிக்க மாட்டேன் என்று சபதம் செய்தாள்; அந்த சபதத்தை நிறைவேற்ற பீமன் உதவினான். ஆயினும் போர் முடிந்த நாள் இரவில் அஸ்வத்தாமன் கும்பல் பாண்டவர் கூடாரங்களுக்குத் தீ வைத்ததில் அவளுடைய புத்திரர்கள் அனைவரும் இறந்தனர் . கடைசி காலத்தில் பாண்டவர் ஐவருடன் வடதிசை நோக்கி நடந்து ஒவ்வொருவராக உயிர் நீத்தனர்.

DHRISHTADYUMNA
See above for his birth. He was appointed as the supreme commander of the Pandava army. In the war he beheaded Dronacharya. But at the end of war, he was killed in the arson attack of Aswaththama .
த்ருஷ்டத்யும்னன்
திரெளபதியுடன் பிறந்தவன் ;போரில் பாண்டவர் சேனைத் தளபதிகளில் ஒருவனாக இருந்து பல வெற்றிகளைப் பெற்றான் . போரில் துரோணரின் தலையைத் துண்டித்தான்; ஆயினும் அஸ்வத்தாமன் பாண்டவர் கூடாரங்களுக்குத் தீ வைத்ததில் உயிர் இழந்தான்

GADOTHKACHA
Ghatotkacha means Pot Headed.
As the head of one of the commanders in the Pandava side in the Kurukshetra war he killed many demons like Alambusha, Alayudha, and many gigantic Asuras. He was specifically called out as the warrior who forced Karna to use his Vasavi Shakti weapon, and courted a hero’s death in the great war.
கடோத்கசன்
கடோத்கசன் என்றால் பானைத் தலையன் என்று பொருள்; பாண்டவர் சேனையில் வீர தீரச் செயல்கள் புரிந்து எதிர்த் தரப்பில் போரிட்ட பல ராக்கதர்களை அழித்தான்; போரில் வீரனாக இறந்தான்.

SHAKUNI
Wicked brother of Gandhari, wife of Dhritarsahtra, He was an expert in the game of dice, but was very crafty. His evil influence over Kauravas was one of the reasons of Mahabharata war. Bhisma, Drona and Vidura suggested to make peace with Pandavas. But he and his supporters rejected all peace deals. In the last day of 18 day war, Sahadevan killed him.
சகுனி
காந்தாரியின் சகோதரன்; தாயக் கட்ட சூதாட்டத்தில் வல்லவன். ஆனால் விஷம் நிறைந்த மனத்தினன் . பீஷ்மர், விதுரர் போன்றோர் சொன்ன சமாதான திட்டங்களை துர்யோதனாதிகள் நிராகரித்ததற்கு சகுனி ஒரு காரணம் . இறுதியில் போரில் அவனும் அவனது மகன்களும் ஸஹதேவனால் கொல்லப்பட்டனர்.

SHIKANDI
Drupada’s daughter was Shikandini. Through a sex change surgery, he became a male and was called Shikandi. in his previous birth he was Amba who vowed to kill Bhishma. In the ancient Hindu warfare women were not involved, because killing a woman was considered a great sin. in the Mahabharata war Bhisma refused to fight Shikandi saying he was a woman. He was one of the seven commanders of the Pandava army, because he learnt the art of warfare from Drona, he tried to kill Bhishma but unable to pierce his armour. Bhishma did not use any weapons. At Krisna’s suggestion Arjuna stood behind Shikandi and killed Bhisma.
சிகண்டி
த்ருபத மன்னனுக்கு பெண்ணாகப் பிறந்தான் ; செக்ஸ் சேஞ்ச் ஆபரேஷன் மூலம் ஆணாக மாறி துரோணரிடம் போர்க்கலை பயின்றான். பூர்வ ஜன் மத்தில் பீஷ்மரால் அவமானமுற்ற அம்பா, அடுத்த ஜென்மத்தில் பிறந்து பீஷ்மரைக் கொல்வேன் என்று சபதம் செய்திருந்தாள். அந்தக் காலத்தில் இந்துப் பெண்கள் போரில் பங்கேற்கமாட்டார்கள் ஏனெனில் பெண்களைக் கொல்வதை இந்து மதம் அனுமதிக்காது. பீஷ்மரும் சிகண்டி/னி பிறவியில் பெண் என்பதால் அவனுடன் சண்டை போட மாட்டேன் என்று அறிவித்திருந்தார்; ஏழு பாண்டவ தளதிகளில் ஒருவனான சிகண்டி/னி விட்ட அம்புகள் பீஷ்மரின் கவசத்தைத் துளைக்க முடியவில்லை அவன் பெண் என்பதால் பீஷ்மர் ஏதும் செய்யவில்லை; கண்ணன் சொன்னதன் பேரில் அர்ஜுனன் சிகண்டிக்குப் பின்னால் நின்று வஞ்சகமாக பீஷ்மரை வீழ்த்தினான்; அவர் பின்னர் அம்புப் படுக்கையில் இரண்டு மாதம் படுத்திருந்து உயிர்நீத்தார் .போருக்குப்பின்னர் அஸ்வத்தாமன் வைத்த தீயில் எரிந்து இறந்தான் சிகண்டி.
