Darsanas
Darsana means demonsration. All have one and the same final object- the emancipation of the soul from the cycle of birth and death
The name given to six systems of Hindu philosophy. They are
Sankhya of Kapila; atheistical approach to yoga.
Yoga of Patanjali; yoga school. Theistical approach.
Nyaya of Gautama; logical school.
Vaishesika of Kanaada ;atomic school.
Purva Mimamsa of Jaimini;
Uttara Mimamsa or Vedanta of Veda Vyasa

தசநாமி – பத்து பெயர்கள்
சங்கராச்சார்யாரைப்பின் பற்றும் பத்துவித சன்யாசிகளை தசை நாமி என்ற பொதுப்பெயரால் குறிப்பிடுவார்கள் ; அவர்களுடைய பெயர்கள் பத்துவித பின்னொட்டுகளைக் கொண்டிருக்கும் ; அவையாவன- பாரதி, சரஸ்வதி, கிரி, புரி, வன, அரண்ய, சாகர, ஆஸ்ரம, தீர்த்த, பர்வத ; இவர்கள் அனைவரும் ஏகதண்டி; வைஷ்ணவர்கள் த்ரிதண்டி, அதாவது, முக்கோல் அந்தணர்கள் ; ஆனால் அத்வைதம் மற்றும் த்வைதத்தைப் பின்பற்றுவோர் ஏகதண்டி சந்யாசிகள் ஆவார்கள் ; எடுத்துக் காட்டாக ,காஞ்சி மடத்தின் சந்யாசிகள் பெயர்கள் எல்லாம் சரஸ்வதி என்று முடிவடையும் ; சிருங்கேரி மடத்தின் சந்யாசிகள் பெயர்கள் எல்லாம் பாரதி என்று முடிவடையும்.
Dasanami ,Dandis
The word Dasanaami means ten named; ten classes of mendicants descended from Shankaracharya . Many of them practise yoga and profess to work miracles.
Hindus who enter Sannyāsa in the Ekadaṇḍi tradition take up one of the ten names associated with this Sampradaya: Giri, Puri, Bhāratī, Vana/Ban, Āraṇya, Sagara, Āśrama, Sarasvatī, Tīrtha, and Parvata.Sanyasis of Advaita Vedanta and Dvaita Vedanta belong to ēkadaṇḍi tradition.
For example, in South India Sringeri Shankaracharyas have Bharati as suffix and Kanchi Shankaracharyas have Saraswathy as suffix attached to their names.

தசரதன்
சூர்ய வம்ச மன்னன்; அஜனின் புதல்வன்; ராம, லட்சுமண, பரத, சத்ருக்னனின் தந்தை; கெளசல்யா, கைகேயி,சுமித்ரா ஆகிய மூவரும் அவருடைய மனைவிகள் . அயோத்தி நகரிலிருந்து கோசல தேசத்தாய் ஆண்டார்; கைகேயிக்கு கொடுத்த வரங்கள் மூலம், அவள் ராமனை காட்டிற்கு அனுப்பி பரதனை முடி சூட்ட வேண்டினாள்; இதனால் தசரதன் இறக்க நேரிட்டது.
Dasaratha
One of the greatest kings of solar race/ surya vamsa.
Son of Aja and father of Rama Lakshmana Bharata, Satrugna. He had three wives Kausalya, Kaikeyi and Sumithra . He ruled Kosala Desa from Ayoddhya. At one time he gave Kaikeyi a few boons which she used to send Rama to forest for 14 years and to crown her son Bharata. But Bharata refused to become the king. Dasaratha died of sorrow.

பத்தாவது நாள் விழா என்று பொருள்; விஜய தசமி என்றும் அழைப்பார்கள் ஒன்பது நாட்கள் ; நவராத்ரி நடந்து முடிந்த பின்னர் வரும் பண்டிகை. மன்னர்கள் அன்று அடையாள பூர்வமாக படை எடுப்பு நடத்துவர்; மைசூரில் பெரிய யானைகளின் அணிவகுப்புடன் மன்னர் பவனி வருவார். அப்போது, சாமுண்டீஸ்வரி தேவியை யானை மீது தங்க அம்பாரியில் வைத்துக் கொண்டு வருவார்கள்; இதைக் காண உலகெங்கிலுமிருந்தும் மக்கள் வருகிறார்கள்.
Dasara
Annual festival at the end of Navaratri. The tenth day is called Dasara or Vijayadasami. That is to celebrate Goddess Durga’s victory over the demon Mahisasura Mahisa Asura means buffalo headed. Dasara is celebrated on grande scale in Mysore where a big procession of elephants and Goddess Chamundeeswary is held every year.

தஸ்ரா
அஸ்வினி குமாரர்கள் என்போர் இரட்டையர் ; அவர்களில் ஒருவர் பெயர் தஸ்ரா; மற்றவர் நாஸத்யர்; ரிக் வேதத்தில் பாடப்படும், அற்புதங்கள் புரியும் தெய்வீக மருத்துவர்கள் இவர்கள் ( அஸ்வினி தேவர்கள் என்ற தாலைப்பில் விவரங்கள் உள்ளன ) இவர்கள் குதிரை உடலுடன் சித்தரிக்கப்படுவதால் அஸ்வ என்ற பெயர் வருகிறது இரண்டு கரங்களில் அபய முத்திரை, புஸ்தகம் காணப்படுகின்றன. அமிர்த சஞ்சீவினி, விஷல்யகர்ணி என்ற இரண்டு அற்புத மூலிகைகளை வலது புறத்திலும் தனவந்திரி, ஆத்ரேயர் ஆகிய இருவரை இடது புறத்திலும் வைத்துள்ளனர் .
Dasra
Name of one of the Vedic twins. Dasra and Nasatya are two gods found in the Rig Veda performing a lot of miracles. They are called Asvins because they look like horse/Asva except in their faces. In two of their arms, they exhibit Abhaya/ protection mudra/sign and a book. On their right are represented the medical herbs Mritasanjivini and Visalyakarani and on their left Dhanvantari and Atreya

வேதத்தில் தெய்வீக புருஷர்களின் எதிரிகளாக உள்ளவர்கள் ; பிற்கால மனு ஸ்ம்ருதி, காளிதாசனின் காவியங்களில் திருடர்கள், கொள்ளைக்காரர்கள் , முரடர்கள் என்ற பொருள்களில் இந்தச் சொல் வருகிறது மொத்தத்தில் வேத காலம் முதல் காளிதாசன் காலம் வரை கெட்டவர்கள் என்ற பொருளிலேயே பயன்படுத்தப்பட்டது . நாடு பிடிக்கவும் மதத்தைப் பரப்பவும் வந்த வெளிநாட்டுக்காரர்கள் மட்டும் இவர்களைப் பூர்வ குடிகள் என்று ஜோடனை செய்தனர்.
Dasyu (दस्यु)
1) Name of a class of evil beings or demons, enemies of gods and men, and slain by Indra, (mostly Vedic in this sense).
2) An outcast, a Hindu who has become an outcast by neglect of the essential rites; cf. Manusmṛti 5.131;1.45; दस्यूनां दीयतामेष साध्वद्य पुरुषा- धमः (dasyūnāṃ dīyatāmeṣa sādhvadya puruṣā- dhamaḥ) Mahābhārata (Bombay) 12.173.2.
3) A thief, robber, bandit; नीत्वोत्पथं विषयदस्युषु निक्षिपन्ति (nītvotpathaṃ viṣayadasyuṣu nikṣipanti) Bhāgavata 7.15.46; पात्रीकृतो दस्यु- रिवासि येन (pātrīkṛto dasyu- rivāsi yena) Ś.5.2; R.9.53; Manusmṛti 7 143.
4) A villain, miscreant; दस्योरस्य कृपाणपातविषयादाच्छिन्दतः प्रेयसीम् (dasyorasya kṛpāṇapātaviṣayādācchindataḥ preyasīm) Māl. 5.28.
5) A desperado, violator, oppressor.
Dasyu (दस्यु).—m.
(-syuḥ) An enemy. 2. A thief. 3. An oppressor, a violator, a committer of injustice, &c. 4. A barbarian, an outcaste, or a Hindu who has become so by neglect of the essential rites. E. das to lose or be lost, Unadi affix yuc .

தாச , தாசி , தேவதாசி
மீ னவன், அடிமை, சூத்திரன், தானம் வங்கத்து தகுதியுள்ளவர்கள் ; ஆன்ம ஞானம் பெற்ற முனிவர்கள் ;
தாச பெயர்களை உடைய பெரியோர்கள் :

காளிதாஸ, சூர் தாச, புரந்தர தாச , கனக தாச, ரவிதாஸ, துர்கா தாச , சண்டி தாச, துளசிதாச.
தாசி – அடிமைப்பெண் ;
தேவ தாசி – கோவிலில் இறைவனுக்கு சேவை செய்ய அர்ப்பணிக்கப்பட்ட பெண்கள் ; அவர்கள் கீதம், நடனம் மூலம் கோவிலில் கலைகளை வளர்த்தனர்.
தஞ்சைப் பெரியகோவிலில் உள்ள தமிழ்க் கல்வட்டுகள் 400 தேவதாசிகளின் அழகான பெயர்களைக் கூறுகின்றன.

1. A fisherman. 2. A servant, a slave. 3. A Sudra or man of the fourth tribe. 4. A Sudra affix or appellation. 5. A person to whom it is proper to make gifts. 6. A sage, one to whom it is proper nature of the soul is known. f. (-sī) A female servant or slave.

Slave woman.
Devadasi
Women who took the service of God as their profession. They developed and supported arts such as dance and music in the temples.
Thousand year old Big temple Tamil inscriptions in Thanjavur give 400 beautiful names of the Devadasis .
