There are thousands of scriptures and books based on these scriptures.
We may get valuable information to lead our life successfully. For example some of the sayings are given here to contemplate and act accordingly.
One
A man should do one thing always
1) Always think about the Supreme (GOD)
Two
Two things are superior to heaven.
1) Mother
2) Mother land.
One should respect these two always.
Three
A man should disregard three things.
1) Wicked person. He should never have a friendship with a wicked person.
2) He should not have his eyes on another man’s wife.
3) He should never think about other man’s wealth. He must earn the wealth on his own accord.
Four
Gold is the most valuable material. It is judged by four tests.
1) Rubbing
2) Cutting
3) Heating
4) Beating.
Similarly man is also judged by four tests.
1) By his manners
2) By his qualities
3) By his actions
4) By his munificence
Five
One should respect five persons as his father. They are
1) Own Father
2) One who initiates
3) Teacher
4) One who gives food
5) One who protects from fear
Eight
Good Qualities of Intellect
There are eight qualities of Intellect. What are these qualities?
1) The desire to learn. One must learn till the end of his life.
2) The desire to listen. One must listen with attention from the knowledgeable people.
3) He must be able to grasp what he heard.
4) Retaining everything what one learns
5) To reason everything by inference and make appropriate deductions
6) To reason against what has been internalized. Reasoning backward : critical thinking eliminating the errors
7) Understanding the deeper meaning and purpose behind 1the knowledge
8) Comprehending the essence, truth of the knowledge that has been inferred
In the modern world intelligence is defined in many ways. There are three mechanisms underlie intelligence. They are 1) Natural intelligence 2) Experimental intelligence and 3) Reflective intelligence.
Now the general question is: can people learn more intelligence? The answer is: Yes. One can acquire intelligence.
