இது தஞ்சாவூரிலிருந்து கும்பகோணம் செல்லும் சாலையில் பாபநாசத்தில் இருந்து தெற்கே 6 கிலோமீட்டர் தொலைவிலும் கும்பகோணத்திற்குத் தென்மேற்கில் 20 கிலோமீட்டர் தூரத்திலும் அமைந்துள்ளது.
வெட்டாற்றின் கரையில் அமைந்துள்ளது இந்தத் தலம்.
இத்தலத்தில் எழுந்தருளியுள்ள இறைவன் திருநாமம் முல்லைவனேஸ்வரர் (கர்ப்பபுரீஸ்வரர் என்ற பெய்ரும் உண்டு)
இறைவி கர்ப்ப ரக்ஷாம்பிகை (கர்ப்பரட்சகி, கருகாத்த நாயகி, கரும்பனையாளம்மை என்ற பெயர்களும் உண்டு)
தலவிருட்சம் முல்லைக் கொடி
தீர்த்தம் பாற்குளம். இந்தக் குளம் காமதேனுவால் உருவாக்கப்பட்டது.
இந்தத் தலம் பஞ்ச ஆரண்ய தலங்கள் எனப்படும் திருக்கருகாவூர், அவளிவநல்லூர், ஹரித்துவாரமங்கலம், ஆலங்குடி, திருக்கொள்ளம்புதூர் ஆகிய ஐந்து தலங்களில் முதலாவது தலமாக அமைகிறது. இந்த ஐந்து தலங்களும் காவிரிக்குத் தென்கரையில் அமைந்துள்ளன.
பஞ்ச ஆரண்ய தல யாத்திரை மேற்கொண்டு ஒரே நாளில் இந்த ஐந்து தலங்களையும் ஏராளமானோர் தரிசித்து வந்திருக்கின்றனர். ஒரு நாள் யாத்திரையை இந்தத் தலத்திலிருந்து அனைவரும் உஷத் காலத்தில் ஆரம்பிப்பது மரபாக இருக்கிறது. அருகருகே உள்ள இந்தத் தலங்களை காலையில் ஆரம்பித்து இரவுக்குள் கால்நடையாகவே சென்று தரிசித்து வந்தனர். இப்போது வசதிக்குத் தக அவரவர்கள் வாகனத்தில் சென்று யாத்திரையை திருப்திகரமாக முடிக்கின்றனர்.
யாத்திரையை கீழ்க்கண்ட வரிசையில் அந்தந்தக் கால பூஜையில் கலந்து கொண்டு முடிப்பது மரபாகும்.
மிக புராதன தலமாகிய இந்தத் தலத்தைப் பற்றி ஏராளமான புராண வரலாறுகள் உண்டு. குறிப்பிடத் தகுந்த ஒன்று இத்தலத்தின் மஹிமையை விளக்கும் ஒன்று.
நித்துருவர் என்ற ஒரு முனிவர் வேதிகை என்ற தன் மனைவியுடன் இத்தலத்தில் வசித்து வந்தார். ஒரு நாள் அவர் வெளியே சென்றிருந்த சமயம் ஊர்த்வபாதர் என்ற ஒரு முனிவர் இவரது ஆசிரமத்திற்கு வந்தார். உள்ளே வேதிகை கர்ப்பமாயிருந்த காரணத்தினால் தளர்ச்சியால் வருந்திக் கொண்டிருந்தார். அப்போது பிக்ஷை கேட்டு ஊர்த்வபாதர் குரல் எழுப்பினார். அயர்ச்சியினால் வேதிகை வர சற்று தாமதமானது. அதனால் கோபமுற்ற அந்த முனிவர் அவரை நோய் பிடிக்குமாறு சாபம் இட அதனால் வேதிகையின் கரு கலைந்து ஊனமுற்றது.
உடனே வேதிகை இந்தத் தலத்து அம்பிகையையும் இறைவனையும் வேண்ட, முல்லைவனேஸ்வரரின் கட்டளைப்படி காமதேனு தன் பாலைச் சுரந்து வேதிகைக்கு அளித்தது. அதனால் அவளது கரு காப்பாற்றப்பட்டது. இதனால் மனம் மகிழ்ந்த நித்துருவர் இந்தத் தலத்தில் கருவுற்ற பெண்களுக்கு எந்த வித ஒரு தீங்கும் வராமல் பிரசவம் எளிதில் நடைபெறுமாறும் இந்தத் தலத்தின் அம்பிகையை வேண்டும் பெண்டிர் அனைவருக்கும் சகல வித நன்மைகளும் உண்டாக வேண்டும் என்றும் வேண்டிக் கொண்டார். அதிலிருந்து இன்று வரை இந்த அம்பிகையை வேண்டும் கன்னிப் பெண்களுக்குத் திருமணத் தடை நீங்கி நல்ல கணவன் கிடைப்பதும் கர்ப்பிணிகளுக்கு சுக பிரசவம் ஏற்படுவதும் நடைபெற்று வருகிறது.

Sanskrit has such an influence in Myanmar that even Burmese and Tamil inscriptions begin with Sanskrit words or greetings. These are in pure Sanskrit .
Other Sanskrit words are corrupted and written in colloquial form what they call Pali
Like Sindhi and Iranian names end with NI, like Tamil male names end with N or M, Burmese names end with U.
And from Rig Vedic days, Hindus have been using PATI ending for males and MATI/VATI ending for females. This is also found in Burma/Myanmar.
I have been arguing that these Pati, Mati, Vati suffixes must be in Indus/Sarasvati River Civilizations. We have an amazing continuity for 5000 years of these Pati, Mati Vati endings in our names.
Hindus used these feminine ending VATI for Rivers and Towns . We see it iraVATI river in Burma.

1) Irāvatī (इरावती).—Grand daughter of Kaśyapa. Ten daughters were born to Kaśyapa by his wife Krodhavaśā, viz. Mṛgī, Mṛgamandā, Harī, Bhadramatā, Mātaṃgī, Śārdūlī, Śvetā, Surabhi and Kadrū, and Irāvatī was Kadrū’s daughter. (Vālmīki Rāmāyaṇa, Araṇya Kāṇḍa).

It is a word of mysterious origin.
Modern encyclopaedias say thar Burma is derived from Bamar, basically agriculturists.
Though we cant link this with Brahmins or Brahma, we may link it with Farmer in English.
Farmer’s etymology is also incomplete. They can’t show Indo European or any other root. They can trace only up to 14h century and the meaning is entirely different . Till we solve this mystery we may not say where from BAMAR came

பாரதம் கண்ட மிகப்பெரும் மன்னனும் பேரறிஞனுமான போஜ தேவ மஹாராஜன் இயற்றிய சம்ஸ்கிருத நூல் சரஸ்வதி கண்டாபரணம்.
கண்டாபரணம் என்றால் நெக்லஸ் என்று பொருள். சரஸ்வதிக்கான நெக்லஸ் – கழுத்தில் அணியும் ஆபரணம் என்ற அர்த்தத்தில் கவிதை இலக்கணம் எனப்படும் யாப்பிலக்கணம் பற்றிய அழகிய நூல் இது.
ஏராளமான உதாரணங்களுடன் இதில் பல்வேறு விஷயங்களை போஜ ராஜன் விளக்கியிருக்கும் விதம் பிரமிக்க வைக்கும் ஒன்றாகும்.

ஒரு வாக்கியத்தில் வரும் சொற்குணங்கள் 24. ப்ரேயான், ஸமாதி, விஸ்தரம், பாவிகம், ரீதி, உக்தி என இப்படி 24 வகைகளை உதாரணங்களுடன் இந்த நூலில் காணலாம்.
வாக்கியத்தில் உள்ள பொருள் குணம் 24. அர்த்த வியக்தி, சிலேஷம், மாதுரியம், அர்த்த வியக்தி, காந்தி, உதாரதை, பிரேயஸ் உள்ளிட்ட 24 குணங்களை இந்த நூல் உதாரணங்களுடன் விளக்குகிறது.

புனரபி ததேவ கதயஸி – நீ சொன்னதையே திருப்பிச் சொல்கிறாய்! (You are saying again the same thing)
ம்ருதாம் நு கதயாமி யா ஸ்வசிதி – அவள் இன்னும் சுவாசித்துக் கொண்டிருக்கும் போது அவளை இறந்து விட்டாள் என்று சொல்லச் சொல்கிறாயா?

ஆர்யா சந்தத்தில் அமைந்துள்ள இது காலத்தை வென்ற ஒரு காதல் கவிதை.
தோழியிடம் அவன் காதலியைப் பற்றி தலைவன் ஆவலுடன் நலம் விசாரிக்கிறான்.
தோழியோ அவள் மூச்சு மட்டும் நிற்கவில்லை – உன்னைப் பிரிந்து என்பதை அழுத்தம் திருத்தமாக, “தஸ்யா ஜீவதி” என்று சுருக்கமாகச் சொல்லி விடுகிறாள்.
அவளுடைய எல்லா நலன்களும் அழிந்தொழிந்தன; நடைப்பிணமாக இருக்கிறாள் (கோமா ஸ்டேஜிலோ?!) – மூச்சு மட்டும் ஓடுகிறது என்று இப்படிச் சிறப்பாகச் சொல்வது காவிய சொற்குணங்களில் உக்தி என்ற பெயரை அடையும்.
இப்படி 24 சொற்குணங்கள் உள்ளன. 23ஆவதாக அமைவது உக்தி. எப்படிப்பட்ட மஹா ரஸிகனாக இருந்திருந்தால் போஜன் தான் இதை ரஸித்ததோடு காலம் காலமாக உலக மக்கள் அனைவரும் ரஸிக்கத் தக்க ஒரு உதாரணக் கவிதையாகக் காட்டி இருப்பான்?
