ஹிப்நாடிஸத்தை ஆதரித்த பிரபலங்கள்!

ஆல்பர்ட் ஐன்ஸ்டீன் (Albert Einstein – physicist)

பிரபல விஞ்ஞானியான ஐன்ஸ்டீன் ஹிப்னாடிஸம் எனப்படும் மனோவசியக் கலையை உபயோகப்படுத்திய பிரபலங்களுள் ஒருவர்.

தனது கருத்துக்களுக்கு மிகவும் உதவியாக ஹிப்னாடிஸம் இருப்பதாக அவர் கருதினார். தியரி ஆஃப் ரிலேடிவிடி என்ற பிரபலமான ஒப்புமைத் தத்துவம் கூட இப்படி அவருக்கு உதித்த ஒன்று தான் என்று சிலர் கருதுகின்றனர்.

வின்ஸ்டன் சர்ச்சில் (இங்கிலாந்து பிரதம மந்திரி) (Winston Churchill) (prime minister)

இரண்டாம் உலகப் போரில் பிரிட்டனின் பிரதம மந்திரியாக இருந்து போரை எதிர்கொண்ட வின்ஸ்டன் சர்ச்சில் இரவு முழுவதும் திட்டமிடுதல், பல்வேறு உத்திகளைத் தீர்மானித்தல், போர் நிலவரங்களைக் கவனித்தல் என்று இது போன்றவற்றில் கடுமையாக ஈடுபட்டு உழைத்தவர். ஆகவே பகல் நேரத்தில் அவர் ஹிப்னாடிஸ டேப்புகளைக் கேட்பது வழக்கம். அவர் புத்துணர்ச்சி பெற இவை உதவியதாம்.

ஜாக்குலின் கென்னடி (Jackie Kennedy)

பிரபல அமெரிக்க ஜனாதிபதியான கென்னடியின் மனைவி ஜாக்குலின் கென்னடி ஒரு ஹிப்னாடிஸ சிகிச்சையாளரிடம் பல அமர்வுகளை எடுத்துக் கொண்டார். தனது கணவர் கோரமாக கொலை செய்யப்பட்ட துக்கத்திலிருந்து அவரால் சீக்கிரம் மீளவே முடியவில்லை. ஆகவே அவர் இந்த சிகிச்சையை எடுத்துக் கொண்டார்.

லார்ட் டென்னிஸன் ஆல்ஃப்ரட் (Lord Tennyson Alfred)

பிரபல ஆங்கிலக் கவிஞரான லார்ட் டென்னிஸன் தனது கவிதைகள் அனைத்தையுமே ஹிப்னாடிஸ நிலையில் இருந்து படைத்ததாகச் சொல்லப்படுகிறது. அந்த ஹிப்நாடிஸ மனோநிலைக்குச் சென்ற போது தான் அவரது படைப்பாற்றல் திறன் முழு அளவில் செயல்பட்டதாம்.

இது பற்றிய நிறையச் செய்திகள் உண்டு.

கெவின் காஸ்ட்னர் (நடிகர்) (Kevin Costner)

பிரபல நடிகரான கெவின் காஸ்ட்னர்  வாட்டர்வோர்ல்ட் (Waterworld) என்ற படத்தை எடுத்துக் கொண்டிருந்த போது தனது ஹிப்னாடிஸ்ட் சிகிச்சையாளரை தனது சொந்த விமானத்தில் அழைத்து வரச் செய்தார். அவருக்கு கடல் பயணத்தாலும் கடலில் படமெடுக்க வேண்டி வந்ததாலும்  கடல் சம்பந்தமான வியாதி ஏற்பட்டதால் அவரால் சொன்னபடி திரைப்பட ஷெட்யூலுக்குப் போக முடியவில்லை. ஹிப்நாடிஸ சிகிச்சைக்குப் பிறகு அவருக்கு இந்த கடல் சம்பந்தமான வியாதி போயே போய் விட்டது!

ஜூலியா ராபர்ட்ஸ் (Julia Roberts) 

பிரபல நடிகையான ஜூலியா ராபர்ட்ஸ் அகாடமி விருது பெற்ற அமெரிக்க நடிகை. (பிறந்த தேதி 28-10-1967) உலகில் மிக அதிகமாக சம்பளம் வாங்கும் நடிகைகளுள் இவர் முன்னணியில் இருப்பவர். அவரே கூறினார் ஒரு முறை இப்படி: “நான் இளவயதில் திக்கித் திக்கி தான் பேசுவேன். ஆனால் ஹிப்நாடிஸத்தால் இப்போது திக்கல் போய் சரளமாகத் என்னால் பேச முடிகிறது” என்றார் அவர்.

கார்ல் ஜங் மற்றும் சிக்மண்ட் ஃப்ராய்ட் (Carl Jung and Sigmund Freud )

பிரபல விஞ்ஞானிகளான இந்த இருவரும் ஹிப்நாடிஸத்தை நன்கு பயின்று அதை தினமும் நடைமுறைப் பயிற்சியாகக் கொண்டிருந்தவர்கள். இதை வைத்தே ஜங் தனது நவீன உளவியல் சிகிச்சையை உருவாக்கினார்.

மொஜார்ட் (Mozart –  1756-91)

பிரபல இசை மேதையான மொஜார்ட் தனது பிரபலமான ‘“Cosi fan tutte” என்ற ஒபேராவை (opera) ஹிப்நாடிஸ ஆழ்ந்த நிலையில் இருக்கும் போது தான் உருவாக்கினார்.

இப்படி இந்தப் பட்டியல் மிக நீண்ட ஒன்று!

In the past four days we looked at the importance of

1.Gaanapathi Homam

2.Navagraha Homam

3.Ayush Homam

4.Aavahanthi Homam

Today we will look at Jayaathi Homa/Havan

The name itself shows that it is for success, achievement, victory etc.

It is not a separate Homa. It is part of most of the Homas.

Every Havan has got two parts: Puurvaangam- Preliminary rituals; Uttaraangam- Final ritual.

In the Puurvaangam (preliminary) we do

Anujna , Vigneswra puja, Sankalpa ,Punyaaha vaachanam , Agnimukham and at the end Jayaathi , Praayachiththa , Upasthaana rituals are done.

Jayaathi homam prays for the success for the event.

Whenever we do a wedding, or a Graha pravesa or releasing a souvenir , lot of people send Greetings and blessings. This homa seeks for the success like those greetings.

As we do in every havan, we place the wooden sticks called Samiththu in fire with ghee and say relevant mantras . The following mantras will give some idea about the purpose of the ritual:-

First ,we pray to bring everything under our control and at the same time dedicate the fruits of our action to God, saying Idam na Mama= it is not mine.

Then the mantra explains the origin of this hymn. When Indra went to war, the teacher of Devas, Prajaapati (Brihaspati) taught this and then only Indra became the Head of Heaven. So we thank Prajapathi.

Then Agni, who is the head of Panchabhutas (five elements) is praised.

Then all the Vedic deities in the following order are prayed: Indra, Yama, Vayu, Surya/sun, Chandra/moon, Mitra, Varuna, Annam/food, Soma/ in charge of plants, Rudra, Twashta, Vishnu, seven generations of forefathers.

Following this, deities are worshipped with their lady loves/sweethearts. The deity is described as Gandharva and his lady love is described as Apsaras.

Following is the Gandharva- Apsaras pair:

Agni – Urja(plants)

Surya – Aayuvah (rays)

Chandran – Stars

Suparna – Dakshina

Prajapati – Vedas

Vayu – water sources

Mrtyu – world

Parjanya – lightning

Mind- thoughts

What is important is, during all these imaginary pairings, wisdom and prosperity are prayed for.

In short, these are the mantras for Jnana and Aiswarya.

If one has to succeed in any venture, one needs knowledge and resources. This Jayaathi Homa will help us to get Jnana and Aiswarya.

As mentioned already we have to do it through a priest who is well versed in Vedas.

வண்ணங்கள் தரும் வளமான வாழ்வு!

(இரண்டாம் பகுதி)

வண்ண சிகிச்சை (கலர் தெராபி)

தியோ ஜெம்பல் என்ற ஜெர்மானியர் நவீன வண்ண இயல் மூலமாக நோய்களைத் தீர்ப்பதில் வல்லவர். ஒலியை விட வண்ணங்கள் அதிக அதிர்வுகளை ஏற்படுத்துவதாக இவர் நிரூபித்ததோடு அந்த அளவுகளையும் தெரிவித்தார்.

வண்ண சிகிச்சைக்கு இசை வல்லுநர் ஒருவரின் துணையையும் அவர் மேற்கொண்டார்.

சூரியனுடைய ஒளி பூமிக்கு வர எட்டரை நிமிடங்கள் ஆகும். ஆனால் சூரியன் என்று நினைத்தவுடனேயே அந்த எண்ணம் சூரியனை தொடர்பு படுத்துவதால் அந்த எண்ணத்தின் வேகம் சூரிய ஒளியின் வேகத்தை விட அதிகம் என்று கூறும் இவர் வண்ணங்களின் வேகம், அவை உடலில் ஏற்படுத்தும் மாற்றங்கள் பற்றி விரிவாக எடுத்துரைக்கிறார். தாவரங்களின் வளர்ச்சியிலும் வண்ணங்களுக்குப் பங்கு உண்டு என்பதையும் அவர் எடுத்துரைக்கிறார்.

கலர் தெராபி என்பது வண்ணங்களை வைத்துச் செய்யப்படும் ஒரு சிகிச்சை முறையாகும். இதை எழுதியுள்ள  மேரி ஆண்டர்ஸன் ஹிந்து யோகம் கூறும் அவுரா எனப்படும் ஒளிவட்டம் பற்றி விவரிக்கும் போது உடலின் ஆறு ஆதார சக்கரங்களுக்கும் வண்ணங்களுக்கும் உள்ள தொடர்பை விவரிக்கிறார். ஏழு வண்ணங்களை உபயோகித்து வாழ்க்கையை வெற்றிகரமாக மாற்றிக் கொள்ளலாம் என்கிறார்.

கிரகங்களும் வர்ணங்களும்

குண்டலினி யோகத்தில் உடலில் உள்ள ஆதார சக்கரங்களுக்கு உரிய நிறங்களையும் நமது நூல்கள் கூறுகின்றன. மூலாதாரம் – சிவப்பு, ஸ்வாதிஷ்டானம் – ஆரஞ்சு, மணிபூரகம் – பிரகாசமான மஞ்சள், அனாகதம் – பச்சை, விசுத்தம் – நீலம், ஆக்ஞா- கருநீலம், சஹஸ்ராகாரம் – நாவல் நிறம் அல்லது செவ்வூதா நிறம் என்று இப்படி நிறங்களை நூல்கள் தருகின்றன. இவற்றை அறிவதால் குண்டலினி யோகத்தைச் செய்வோர் தங்களது முன்னேற்றம் பற்றித் தெரிந்து கொள்ளலாம்.

நவகிரகங்களில் சூரியனுக்கு சிவப்பு. சந்திரனுக்கு வெண்மை, செவ்வாய்க்கு சிவப்பு, புதனுக்கு வெளிர் பச்சை, குருவிற்கு மஞ்சள், சுக்ரனுக்கு வெண்மை, சனி, ராகு, கேது ஆகிய கிரகங்களுக்கு கருமை என நமது அறநூல்கள் கூறுகின்றன. இந்த நிறத்தில் ஆடைகள், நைவேத்யம் ஆகியவற்றைச் செய்வது மரபு.

வண்ணமும் அது குறிக்கும் குணமும்

குறிப்பிட்ட ஒரு ஆராய்ச்சியாளராக சுமார் 30 வருடங்கள் வண்ண ஆய்விலேயே ஈடுபட்டவர் கலிபோர்னியாவைச் சேர்ந்த மனைசார் உளவியலாளரான (Clinical Psychologist) டாக்டர் கார்ல்டன் வேக்னர் என்பவராவார்.

இவரது புத்தகங்கள் உலகமெங்கும் பரவலாக படிக்கப்படுகின்றன. அவர் கூறும் அறிவுரைகளைப் பின்பற்றித் தங்கள் பழக்கவழக்கங்களை வெற்றிகரமாக மாற்றிக் கொள்ள விழைவோர் ஏராளம்! (தி வேக்னர் கலர் ரெஸ்பான்ஸ் மற்றும் கலர் பவர் ஆகிய நூல்கள் குறிப்பிடத்தகுந்தவை)

இவர் வண்ண ஆய்வு மையம் ஒன்றை நடத்த ஆரம்பித்து பல்வேறு வண்ணங்களில் ஒவ்வொன்றும் உங்களை உளவியல் ரீதியாக எப்படி பாதிக்கும் அல்லது வளத்தைத் தரும் என்பதைச் சொல்லித் தந்தார்.

அதன்படி ஒவ்வொரு வண்ணத்திற்கான குணங்கள் இதோ:

அடர்த்தியான நீலம் (Dark Blue) : நம்பிக்கை, பழமையில் பற்று, பொறுப்பு, அமைதி, புத்திசாலித்தனம்

இள நீலம் (Light Blue) : அமைதி, அன்பு, லட்சியத்தில் பற்று, தகவல் பரிமாற்றத்தில் நிபுணத்துவம்

பச்சை – அமைதி, உண்மை, எதிலும் சமநிலை, உறுதி

மஞ்சள் – உற்சாகம், மலர்ச்சி, புத்திசாலித்தனம், துணிவு, போட்டியில் முதன்மை

வெள்ளை – நேர்த்தி, ஒழுங்கு, சுயதேவை பூர்த்தி, எச்சரிக்கை உணர்வு, ஆன்மீகத்தில் பற்று, ஆக்கபூர்வமான சிந்தனை

கறுப்பு – சோகம், சுகவீனம், தீவிரம், அகங்காரம், மரியாதை, துக்கம், தீமை, தெரியாத விஷயங்கள்

ஆரஞ்சு – படைப்பாற்றல், மலர்ச்சி, மகிழ்ச்சி, உடனடி செயல், செக்ஸ்

இளஞ்சிவப்பு – அன்பு, ஓய்வு, தாய்ப்பாசம்

சிவப்பு – சக்தி, வெற்றி, உடனடி செயல், அமைதியற்ற துடிப்பு, பொறுமையின்மை, தீவிரம்

வயலட் – அமானுஷ்ய சக்தி, வசீகரம்

தனக்கென ஒரு ராசி நிறத்தை ஒரு ஆணோ பெண்ணோ தமது அனுபவத்தின் படி தேர்ந்தெடுப்பதை அனுபவத்தில் பார்க்கிறோம்.

ப்ரூஸ் லீ – மஞ்சள், கருமை, ஐன்ஸ்டீன் – மஞ்சள், சார்லி சாப்ளின் – கருப்பு, நீலம் என இப்படி பிரபலங்களும் கூட தங்களுக்கான நிறத்தைத் தேர்ந்தெடுத்துள்ளனர்.

In the past three days we looked at Ganapathi Homam,

Navagraha Homam and Ayush Homam. To day we will look at Wealth increasing Aaavahanthi  Homam or Havan.

Why do we do it?

No one can survive without money in this world. Modern day price rise, inflation and our demands to compete with our neighbours push us towards anything that gives us money. But good people would like to earn money only through good deeds. This Aavahanthi Homam is one of such good deeds.

 Usual pujas such as Ganapathi puja is done first.

Then Agni Kundam (fire pit) is installed with the usual mantras.

Then Goddess Annapurna or Mahalshmi  is invoked through the good offices of Indra. Udumbara or pipal sticks are used for homam. Ganapathi Mula mantra is recited first. Then Goddess Annapurna and bhavani are worshipped.

Since the Mantras for all these Fire Rituals are in Sanskrit, only priests can recite them. If one has studied properly in the Vedic Patasalas, then one can do it without the help of a priest.

The general meaning of the mantras recited is as follows:

Give me inexhaustible wealth.

Let all the sins be destroyed.

Let my body have good strength .

Let my tongue say honey sweet words.

Let me hear good things

Let Annapurna Bhavani give me wisdom

Let there be good  cattle wealth

Let me get good, Brahmacharis (for my teaching school).

Let me get name and fame.

Let me take refuge in you.

You are like a river with 1000 tributaries. I take a bath in it.

You are the refuge for all. Take me and let me shine with your brilliance.

This is a fire ritual .

In the beginning Fire pit installation is done with usual rituals and mantras.

Taitriya Upanishad Section 4 has this mantra:-

Section 4

A Teacher’s Prayer for Knowledge and Prosperity

1. yas candasam risabho visvarupah, candobhyo, adhyamritat sambabhuva, sa mendro medhaya sprinotu, amritasya deva dharano bhuyasam, sariram me vicarsanam, jihva me madhumattama, karnabhyam bhuri visruvam, brahmanah koso, asi medhaya pihitah, srutam me gopaya.

1. He who is the bull among the desires, who assumes all forms, who is born from the immortal Vedic meters, may that great Indra cheer me with his intelligence. O divinity, may I be a possessor of immortality. May my body be vigorous; may there be exceeding sweetness in my tongue; may I hear profusely with my ears. You are the sheath of Brahman, covered by intelligence, protect my knowledge of the sruti (Vedas).

Notes: Srutam means what is heard, usually with regard to the hymns of the Vedas. This prayer seeking protection against loss of that knowledge through memory lapse.

2. avahanti vitanvana, kurvana, aciramatmanah, vasam si ma-ma gavasca, annapane ca sarvada, tato me sriyamavaha, lomasam pasubhih saha svaha, a ma yantu brahmacarinah svaha, vi ma, a, ayantu brahmacarinah svaha, pra ma, a, ayantu brahmacarinah svaha, damayantu brahmacarinah svaha, samayantu brahmacarinah svaha

2. Thereafter, may you bring to me the goddess of fortune, who is the carrier, the multiplier (of riches), and the long lasting maker for herself and for me of clothes, cows, food and drink for all times. May you bring her to me together with wool and cattle. Svaha. May students of chaste conduct come to me from every side. Svaha. May students of chaste conduct come to me variously. Svaha. May students of chaste conduct come to me in a proper manner. Svaha. May students of chaste conduct come to me restraining their bodies. Svaha. May students of chaste conduct come to me restraining their minds. Svaha.

Notes: This is a prayer to Indra seeking his help in obtaining favours from Sri Mahalakshmi, the goddess of prosperity. It is a continuation of the previous verse and presents some difficulty in translating it literally. The seeker first extols the goddess as the carrier, multiplier and accomplisher of all good things in life. She does it not only for herself but for her devotees also at all times. Having made that observation, the seeker then asks Indra to help him in getting her favors. A teacher’s prosperity depends upon having more students. Therefore he is seeking the help of Indra to propitiate the goddess and obtain wealth in the form of cattle, wool, clothes, food and drink and students. Svaha means “personally (sva) I am (aha),” a word uttered for emphasis with each offering dropped or poured into the sacrifice.

3. yaso jane, asani svaha, sreyan vasyaso, asani svaha, tam tva bhaga pravisani svaha, sa ma bhaga pravisa svaha, tasmin sahasrasakhe ni bhagaham tvayi mrije svaha, yatha apah pravata ayanti, yatha masa aharjaram, evam mam brahmacarinah, dhatarayantu sarvatah svaha, prativeso’si pra ma bhahi pra ma padyasva.

May you, O Abode of Light, enter into me. In You, that river of thousand branches, O Abode of Light, may I wash away my sins. Svaha. As water flows down a slope, as months into a year so, O Giver, may students of chaste conduct come to me from all directions. Svaha. You are the resting place. For me you shine. You come to me again and again.
