Foreword
This book is titled ‘Unsolved Mysteries of Pandya Kings and Tamil Saints!’
In fact, it has solved many mysteries about the dates of Tamil Saint Manikkavasagar and the kings of early Pandya Dynasty. One blunder committed by one author, knowingly or unknowingly, caused a big confusion in the history of Tamil Nadu. This created several knots in the thread, and I spent forty years to untie them. I hope I have succeeded in my effort, but I am open to criticism. Any positive suggestions or newer solutions are welcome from the readers.
Let me add a few more words about the contents. It is a mixture of a few different topics dealing with history, astronomy,religion and patriotism. First seven articles are about Pandya history and other articles are about Gods, Zodiac system and a lengthy article on patriotism. These articles were published in my blogs in the recent months. Readers may start anywhere in the book and finish it. I have also requested to convene a conference of scholars representing different fields to pass a final judgement on the problems of Pandya history and the dates of Tamil saints. Now the ball is in their court.

FOREWORD
When I had read over 20,000 proverbs in Tamil and thousands more Subhasitas in Sanskrit, I was wonderstruck about the literary wealth of Hindus. I have already published over thousand of proverbs and thousand slokas from Chanakya to Bharatiyar’s New Athichudi.. In this book, I am dealing with proverbs from foreign sources to compare them with that of Hindus. Great men think alike is very true. Hindus are far advanced in producing grammar, dictionaries, thesaurus, four types of speech, theories on origin of speech, etymology in Yaska’s Nirukta etc. Hindus stood first in everything This study made me to write about language, speech and freedom of speech in my blogs. The anecdotes, facts and figures about these will make very interesting reading to anyone, even laymen.
