பிராக்கிருத மொழி இலக்கணம் எழுதிய கிறிஸ்டியன் லாசன்

நார்வே நாட்டில் பெர்கன் என்னும் இடத்தில் ஒரு சுங்க  அதிகாரியின் மகனாகப் பிறந்த கிறிஸ்டியன் லாசன் , அங்கு பள்ளிக் கல்வியை முடித்தபின்னர்  ஜெர்மனிக்கு வந்து அங்கேயே வாழத் தொடங்கினார்

அவர் செய்த முக்கியப் பணி, பிராகிருத மொழி, பாலி மொழி ஆராய்ச்சியாகும். ஜெர்மன் மொழியில் பிராக்கிருத இலக்கணம்  எழுதியது மொழியியல் ஆராய்ச்சிக்கு மிகவும் உறுதுணையாக நின்றது.

முதலில் ராமாயணத்தை எடிட் செய்து — தொகுத்து, முறைப்படுத்தி வெளியிட- இவருக்கு நிதி உதவி கிடைத்தது;  பான், ஹைடல்பர்க் பல்கலைக் கழகங்களில் படித்தகாலையில் உதவித்தொகை கிடைத்து பாரிஸ், லண்டன் நகரங்களுக்குச் சென்றார் . ஸ்லெகல் என்பவரின் ராமாயணப் பணியில் உதவினார்

பிரெஞ்சு அறிஞர் பர்னுப் என்பவருடன் இவர் பாலி, பிராக்கிருத மொழிகளை பற்றி எழுதி முதலில் வெளியிட்டார்.

இந்தியாவின் பஞ்சாப் பிரதேச புவியியல் என்ற ஆராய்ச்சி நூலுக்காக இவருக்கு டாக்டர் பட்டத்தை வழங்கினர். பான் ஹைடல்பர்க் நகரங்களில் பேராசிரியராகப்nபணியாற்றினார். ஆனால் அவரது கண்பார்வை மங்கி இறுதிக் காலத்தில் கண்பார்வையை அறவே இழந்தார். கிரேக்க, இந்திய ஆசிரியர்கள் பஞ்சாப் பிரதேசம் பற்றி எழுதிய அனைத்தையும் தொகுத்து ஆய்வு நூலை வெளியிட்டார்.. இவர் இலங்கை பற்றியும் எழுதினார்

வான் ஸ்லெகல், பரனூப் ஆகிய இருவருடன் சேர்ந்து ஆய்வு நூல்களை வெளியிட்டார்.

பாரசீக மொழியில் எழுதப்பட்ட கியூனிபார்ம் லிபி கல்வெட்டுகளைப் படித்து சிலர் எழுதியிருந்தனர். அவைகளை மேலும் ஆராய்ந்து நிறைய செய்திகளைக் கண்டுபிடித்தது இவரது இன்னும் ஒரு சிறப்பான பணியாகும்

பாரிசில் இருக்கும்போதுதான் இவருக்கு பிராகிருத மொழி ஆய்வில் ஆர்வம் ஏற்பட்டது வரருசி எழுதிய பிராகிருத பிரகாசிக்காவைப் பயன்படுத்தி முழு இலக்கண நூலை வெளியிட்டார்.

இந்திய பழமை புராதனம் Antiquary  என்ற பத்திரிக்கையில் அவர் பலூச்சி, பிராகூயி மொழிகள் பற்றியும் எழுதினார். இந்த இதழ்களின் மொழிபெயர்ப்புகள் இன்றுவரை வெளிவந்த வண்ணம் இருக்கின்றன .அவரது பத்திரிக்கைகளின் விஷய அட்டவணை , இண்டெக்ஸ் முதலியன இல்லாததால் அதிகம் பயன்படுத்தப்படாமலே போய்விட்டன .

தென் இந்திய வரலாற்றையும் இலங்கை பற்றியும் அவர் எழுதியது குறிப்பிட்டது தக்கது .

வடமேற்கு இந்தியாவை ஆண்ட கிரேக்க சித்திய மன்னர்களின் வரலாற்றை நாணயங்களைக் கொண்டு ஆராய்ந்து எழுதினார்

இந்த ஆராய்ச்சிகளின் பயனாக கிறிஸ்டியன் லாசன், நான்கு தொகுதிகளில் இந்தியா மற்றும் இந்தியாவுக்கு அப்பால் என்ற தலைப்பில் ஆராய்ச்சிகளை வெளியிடார்.

பழங்குடி இன வரலாறு, ஜாதிகளைப் பற்றி முதலில் எழுதியவர் லாசன்தான் .

முதல் தொகுதியில் புராணங்களில் கிடைக்கும் வரலாற்றை எழுதி மனு நீதி நூல் குறித்தும் எழுதினார்.

ஆரியர்களைப் புகழ்ந்து அவர் எழுதிய வாசகம் இதோ

கீழ்த்திசை நாடுகளில் ஆரியர்கள் பண்பாட்டினைப் பரப்பியது போல வேறு எவருமே செய்ததில்லை.

முதல் தொகுதியில்தான் ஜாதிகள் பற்றிய ஆய்வுகளை வெளியிட்டார்.

இரண்டாவது தொகுதியில் புத்தர் காலம் தொடங்கி குப்தர் காலம் வரை வரலாற்றினை மொழிகிறார் அவருக்கு முன்னர் எழுதிய படைப்புகளின் அடைப்படையில் அவர் எழுதியபோதும் அலக்சாந்தர் படையெடுப்பு போன்ற விஷயங்களுக்கு கிரேக்க ரோமானிய மொழிகளில் எழுதிய விஷயங்களையும் சேர்த்துக்கொண்டார்

மூன்றாவது தொகுதியில் வட இந்தியாவில் முஸ்லீம்களின் ஆட்சியை வழங்கினார்.

நாலாவது – இறுதி – வால்யுமில் – தொகுதியில் கிழக்கி ந்திய,   தென்னிந்திய வரலாற்றினை அளித்தார்

கிறிஸ்டியன் லாசனின் மிகப்பெரிய சாதனை இந்தியா பற்றி பழைய மொழிகளில் சிதறிக்கிடந்த விஷ்யங்களைத் தொகுத்து, அதை ஆராய்ச்சி நோக்கில் விமர்சித்து எழுதியதாகும்..

இவரது படைப்புகளில் உள்ள விஷயங்கள் ஆங்கில மொழியிலும் தமிழ் மொழியிலும் வருவது எக்காலமோ!   அக்காலம் பொற்காலமாக இருக்கும் !

இருபது நாள் கழித்து இடிபாடுகளிலிருந்து உயிருடன் மீண்டவர் – ஒரு உண்மைச் சம்பவம்! – காயத்ரி மந்திர மஹிமை!!

இது ஒரு உண்மைச் சம்பவம். விஸ்டம் என்ற ஆங்கில மாத இதழில் 1990 நவம்பர் இதழில் வெளியான கட்டுரை இது. இதை எழுதியர் எஸ்.பி, ஹோஹ்லி, லண்டன். 

ஐம்பது வருடங்களுக்கு முன்னால் ஒரு மோசமான பூகம்பம், இப்போது பாகிஸ்தானில் உள்ள க்வெட்டா என்ற இடத்தில் ஏற்பட்டது, ஏராளமான கட்டிடங்கள் பூகம்பத்தினால் தகர்க்கப்பட்டன. சாலைகள் பிளந்தன. ரெயில் லைன் நாசமானது.  எங்கும் குழப்பம், துயரம், அழிவு, சாவு, மரண ஓலம்~

நகரமே அழிவில் இருந்தது. வாகனங்கள் தகர்க்கப்பட்டன. எங்கும் இறந்த உடல்கள் சிதறிக் கிடந்தன.

ஆயிரக்கணக்கான மக்கள் கொல்லப்பட்டனர்.  ஏராளமானோருக்குக் காயம். ஆண்கள், பெண்கள், குழந்தைகள் மற்றும் கால்நடைகளுக்கு பலத்த அடி, காயம்!

ஆர்ய சமாஜம் போன்ற ஸ்தாபனங்கள் மீட்பு வேலையில் ஈடுபட்டன. அரசு இயந்திரங்கள் முடுக்கி விடப்பட்டன.. ஆயிரக்கணக்கான தொண்டர்கள் இந்தியாவிலிருந்து வந்து மீட்பு வேலையில் உதவினர்.

முதல் இரண்டு நாட்களில் இடிபட்டுக் கிடந்த கட்டிடங்களிலிருந்து பலரும் உயிருடன் மீட்கப்பட்டனர்.  பின்னர் நம்பிக்கை குறைந்தது. இறந்து கிடந்த உடல்களை மட்டுமே மீட்க முடிந்தது. என்றாலும் இடிபட்ட கட்டிடங்களில் மீட்பு வேலை தொடர்ந்து நடந்தது.

இருபது நாட்கள் கழிந்தன. ஒரு நாள் மீட்புக் குழுவினர் இடிபாடு ஒன்றிலிருந்து காயத்ரி மந்திரம் ஓதப்படும் சத்தத்தைக் கேட்டு திகைத்தனர்.  மிகவும் கவனமாக அங்கிருந்த இடிபாட்டை அகற்ற ஆரம்பித்தனர். கட்டிடத்தின் கீழே ஒரு மனிதன் நல்ல ஆரோக்கியத்துடன் இருப்பதைக் கண்டனர். அவர்களால் தங்கள் கண்களை நம்பவே முடியவில்லை. இப்படிப்பட்ட ஒரு இடிபாட்டில் எப்படி ஒரு மனிதன் இவ்வளவு நாட்கள் உயிருடன் பிழைத்திருக்க முடியும்!!

அந்த மனிதன் தனது கதையைச் சொல்ல ஆரம்பித்தார்:

“எனது பெயர் பகத் ராம். நான் பழங்களை விற்பவன். எனது கடையில் நான் இருந்த போது தான் இந்த பூகம்பம் ஏற்பட்டது. இரண்டு பெரிய கனமான சட்டங்கள் என் தலைக்கும் மேல் சாய்வாக ஒன்றின் மீது ஒன்று விழுந்தன. ஒரு குகை போல எனது இருப்பிடம் ஆனது. என்னைச் சுற்றி ஏகப்பட்ட குப்பைகூளங்கள் விழுந்திருந்தன. ஆனால் எனது மீது எந்த செங்கல்லும் விழவில்லை. என் உடல் பாகங்கள் நன்கு பத்திரமாகவே இருந்தது. காயமில்லாமல் இருந்ததால் என்னால் இயங்க முடிந்தது. ஆனால் சுவாசிக்க காற்றே இல்லை. எனக்கு மூச்சு திணற ஆரம்பித்தது. அப்போது இன்னொரு பூகம்பம் ஏற்பட்டு பூமி அதிர்ந்தது. ஒரு சிறிய ஓட்டை ஏற்பட்டு அதன் வழியாக சுத்தமான காற்று உள்ளே வர ஆரம்பித்தது. என்னால் சுத்தமான காற்றை சுவாசிக்க முடிந்தது. உயிருடன் மீள முடியும் என்ற நம்பிக்கை எனக்கு ஏற்பட்டது. என்னைச் சுற்றி ஏராளமான பழங்கள் இருந்தன. வாழைப்பழம், ஆரஞ்சு என்று நிறைய பழங்கள். அவற்றை எடுத்து உண்ண ஆரம்பித்தேன். ஆனால் தண்ணீர் தேவையாக இருந்தது. தாகம் எடுக்க ஆரம்பித்தது. அப்போது இன்னொரு தடவை பூமி அதிர்ந்தது. இப்போது ஒரு தண்ணீர்க் குழாய் உடைந்து அதிலிருந்து தண்ணீர் பீறிட்டு எழ ஆரம்பித்தது. அதை எடுத்துக் குடித்தேன். உடலை கழுவிக் கொள்ளவும் முடிந்தது.

நான் கிருஷ்ண பரமாத்மாவின் பெரிய பக்தன். பகவத் கீதையைப் பின்பற்றுபவன். எனது வாழ்க்கை முழுவதும் கீதை ஸ்லோகங்களைச் சொல்லி வந்ததோடு காயத்ரி மந்திரத்தையும் உச்சரித்து வந்துள்ளேன். அவன் மீது எனக்கிருந்த பக்தி என்னை ஒரு நாளும் கைவிட்டதில்லை.  என்னை மீட்கும் இந்த சமயத்தில் என்னிடம் இருந்த  கடைசி ஆரஞ்சுப் பழத்தைச் சாப்பிட்டேன். கடவுள் என்னிடம் இருந்த ஸ்டாக் தீர்ந்து விட்டதால் உங்களை என்னை  மீட்க அனுப்பியிருக்கிறார் என்றே நான் நம்புகிறேன். 

அவனது வழிகள் விசித்திரமானவை. அவன் மீதுள்ள பக்தியே என்னைக் காப்பாற்றியுள்ளது.  அவன் மீது நம்பிக்கை கொள்ளுங்கள்.  உங்கள் மீது நம்பிக்கை கொள்ளுங்கள். உங்கள் தொழிலின் மீது நம்பிக்கை கொள்ளுங்கள். மனிதகுலத்தின் மீது நம்பிக்கை கொள்ளுங்கள். அது ஒரு முக்கியமான பாகத்தை நமது வாழ்வில் கொண்டிருக்கிறது. வாழ்க்கையின் எந்த அம்சமானாலும் சரி, நம்பிக்கை அவசியம்!!!

About a half century ago, there was a devastating earthquake in Quetta now in Pakistan. The earth tremors shook, demolished and destroyed innumerable buildings, roads broke-up, railway lines over a ripped apart. There was chaos, miserty, destruction and death all over the city lay in ruins rubble, twisted metal, ruined vehicles, dead bodies lay everywhere! Thousands of people were killed, injured and wounded. Men, women, children and cattle were torn apart; Relief Organisations like the Arya Samaj and the government agencies set to work. Thousands of volunteers were from all over India to held in relief work. For the first couple of days a few people were dug up alive. After that only dead bodies were being recovered, there was no hope of finding any survivors. Digging and clearance went on.

 Twenty days passed. One day the rescuers suddenly heard the chanting of Gayathri Mantra from underneath the debris. They carefully removed the rubble and found a man in perfect health, not a single injury to any part of the body. They could not believe their eyes. How could a man live so long buried underneath?

 Here is the story he told them: –

 My name is Bhagat Ram. I sell fruit. I was sitting in. my shop when the earthquake struck. A couple of large heavy beams fell over in a slanting position above my head and found a sort of cave. A lot of rubble fell all around me but, luckily, no bricks fell on my head or on any other part of my body, leaving me free of any injury whatsoever. But there was no Air and I was feeling suffocated. The earth struck again and somewhere – I do not know where – a sort of duct was formed and fresh air started to come in. I could breathe in fresh any. My hopes of survival arose high. There was enough fruit lying around – bananas and oranges etc. – and I could feed myself. But I needed water to drink. I was getting thirsty. Suddenly there was another tremor which ripped the ground and burst a water pipe. Water started to spurt out. Now, I had a current supply of water to drink and I could even wash myself down there.

 I am a great devotee of Lord Krishna and a follower of Bhagavad Gita. I spent all my time in chanting slokas from the Gita and and the Gayathri Mantra. My faith in HIM

never deserted me. At the time of my rescue, I had just eaten my last orange. I believe, He sent you in time to save me just as my stock of food had ran out. Strange are His ways; Faith in Him has saved my lie. Have faith in Him, faith in yourself ;  Faith in your job. Faith in Humanity plays a great and essential part in our lives. Faith is essential for success in any sphere of life.

 Sugarcane — Learn Tirumanthiram through Pictures- 9 (Post No.13,770)

What can Sugarcane teach you? Tirumular,  author of Tiru Manthiram, use sugarcane in many of his verses to pass on important messages. Greatest of the ancient Tamil poets, Tiru Valuuva , gives us a violent message. He says unless we squeeze the misers like sugarcane they won’t give us a single penny. Authors of two other didactic  Tamil books Naladiyaar and Pazamozi also use sugarcane to stress some points.

Here are some verses or messages:

180: Youth is Sugar-cane; Age is Nux Vomica

180.விரும்புவர் முன்என்னை மெல்லியன் மாதர்

கரும்பு தகர்த்துக் கடைக்கொண்ட நீர்போல்

அரும்பொத்த மென்முலை ஆயிழை யார்க்கும்

கரும்பொத்துக் காஞ்சிரங் காயுமொத் தேனே.

Time was when fond damsels on him their love bestowed.

Like cane’s sugary juice, slow sucked, was he to them,

The idol of wenches with budding breasts and jewelled shapes;

But now the sweetest cane has bitter nux vomica become.

அமுதூறும் பன்மரம் பார்மிசை தோற்றும்

கமுகூறு தெங்கு கரும்பொடு வாழை

The fertilising flood of rains outpouring
Makes trees and plants bloom enriched with sap;
The areca palm, coconut, cane and plantain green,
And vomica to Samadhi’s nectar leading–Stand laden rich with crop

In this body of pleasures

Unto sugarcane and honey mixed,

Sprouted the Fragrance of Siva Bliss;

In eagerness my heart sought it

Overwhelmed by Karma Evil,

(That Kecari Yoga prescribes);

Of its juicy sweetness pressed away.

The Yogis who thus divine sweetness experienced

If in a bud-like formation

Send tongue upward

Their spinal chord erect as a stiff rod

Then will trickle nectar from within

And body becomes sweet as sugarcane.

Violence in Valluvar Tirukkural

வள்ளுவர் குறளில் வன்முறை: கரும்பு போல கசக்கிப்பிழி

சொல்லப் பயன்படுவர் சான்றோர் கரும்புபோல்

கொல்லப் பயன்படும் கீழ் (1078)

பொருள்: சான்றோர்கள் சொன்ன மாத்திரத்திலேயே பிறர்க்கு உதவி செய்வர். கயவர்கள் மட்டும் கரும்பு போல் கொன்று பிழிந்தால்தான் பயன்படுவார்கள்.

Crush him like Sugarcane: Valluvar

Tamil poet Tiruvaluvar never hesitated to advocate violence against the mean-minded, close fisted, Scrooge like fellows; he says in a Tirukkural couplet,

“At a mere word the good melt; but the mean, like the sugarcane, yield only under pressure” – 1078

In another couplet Valluvar says break his jaw and twist his hand.

Verses from Tamil Naaladiyaar

Naladiyar 211. Friendship with the wise, whose intelligence divines one’s thoughts, is like eating a sugarcane from the top (as its sweetness increases more and more); connection with persons without sweetness of disposition is like eating it from the opposite end, the root (the flavour decreasing by degrees).

O singer, utter not that gross falsehood, saying, He who wears a garland of buds loosely strung together will be kind to me. I am not dear to him, but am like the flower of the sugarcane (which is destitute of sweetness). Speak these words to them who are like the middle joints of the cane and sweet to him.

Having obtained a human body, so difficult of attainment, so act as to procure great merit by it, for in the next birth charity will profit thee as the juice of the sugarcane when pressed, while thy body will decay like the refuse cane. –chapter 4 on virtues.

Virtue is the gain. The body mere refuse.  Verse 28

As the gain from the mortal frame now reached —and which is so hard to reach —with all thy might lay hold of virtue’s lasting good. As the juice expressed from the sugar-cane ’twill afterwards be thine aid, when the body goes like refuse flung away.

Naladiyar verse 138

O lord of the cool shores of the roaring ocean!

The friendship of the learned is like eating  the sugarcane from the top (downwards) and the attachment of those who  who are devoid of  any grace or good qualities is like eating it from the out (upwards).

Pazamozi says Like we preserve sugarcane for future in the form of molasses or jagggery, we have to do charity in this birth so that we get sweet things in our next birth.

நாம் பெற்றிருக்கும் இந்த உடம்பு பெறுவதற்கு அரிய உடம்பாகும்.

இதனைப் பெற்றிருக்கும் பயனால் அடுத்துப் பெறப்போகும் நற்பிறவிக்கு வேண்டியனவற்றை இப்போதே மிகவும் செய்துகொள்க.

அது கரும்பில் இருக்கும் சாறுபோல் அடுத்தப் பிறவிக்குத் தொடரும். இந்தப் பிறவியில் பெற்றிருக்கும் உடம்பு கரும்புச் சக்கைபோல் கிடக்கட்டும்.  .

ஷேக்ஸ்பியர் நாடகங்களில் அவரது கால ஐரோப்பியர்களின் ஜோதிட நம்பிக்கைகளை எப்படி வெளிப்படுத்துகிறார் என்று மேலும் சுவையான ஜோதிடச் செய்திகள்  இதோ :

மெர்ச்சண்ட் ஆப் வெனிஸ் நாடக வசனத்தில் வரும் வரிகள் –

இரவுநேரத்தில் ஒளிவீசும் இந்த ஆசீர்வதிக்கப்பட்ட மெழுகுதிரிகள் — இதை வியாக்கியானம் செயத சிலர், இது ஏசுகிறிஸ்த்துவால்  ஆசீர்வதிக்கப்பட்ட மெழுகுவர்த்திகள் என்றும் இன்னும் சிலர், இவை விண்ணிலுள்ள நட்சத்திரங்கள் என்றும் சொல்கிறார்கள். ஆயினும் அவர்கள் இருவரும் ஆசீர்வதிக்கப்பட்ட விண்மீன்களின் உண்மைப் பொருளை விளக்கவில்லை.

இது நமது மகாபாரதத்தில் உள்ளது .

இந்திர லோகம் சென்று அதி நவீன ஆயுதங்களை பெறுவதற்காக அர்ஜுனனும் மாதலியும், பூமிக்குத் திரும்பிவரும், ஸ்பேஸ் ஷட்டிலில் போகிறார்கள்; அபோது விண்கலத்தின் பைலட்டிடம் அர்ஜுனன் வியப்புடன் ஒரு கேள்வியைக் கேட்கிறான்.

மாதலி! வெளியே தெரியும் ஒளிவீசும் பொருட்கள் என்ன?

ஓ, அவைதான் இறந்து போன நமது முன்னோர்கள் ; இப்படி ஒளி ரூபத்தில் இருக்கிறார்கள்

வன பர்வத்திலுள்ள இந்த வரிகள் உண்மை என்பதை நாம் நட்சத்திரங்களுக்கு இட்ட பெயர்களே காட்டுகின்றன. அகஸ்தியர், துருவன், திரிசங்கு, ஸபத்ரிஷிகள் , அருந்ததி.

சப்த ரிஷிக்கள் – அத்ரி, பிருகு, குத்ச, வசிஷ்ட, கெளதம, காஸ்யப ஆங்கீரஸ – இந்த எழுவரையும் தமிழர்கள் வணங்குவதை நற்றிணைப் பாடல் விதந்து ஓதுகிறது. அருந்ததி நட்சத்திரத்தை தமிழ்ப் பெண்கள வணங்குவதை சங்க இலக்கியம் ஆறு இடங்களில் குறிப்பிடுகிறது. திருமணமான இரவில் அருந்ததி காட்டல் என்பது இந்துக்களின் முக்கியச் சடங்கு.

அந்த அருந்ததி வசிஷ்ட்ட நட்சத்திரத்தை சுற்றி வந்து கொண்டே இருக்கும் ஸ்பத ரிஷிகளின் பெயரை இன்று பிராமணர்கள் தினமும் மூன்று முறை சொல்லி சந்தியாவந்தனம் செய்வார்கள்; அதே வரிசையில் 2700 ஆண்டுகளுக்கு முன்னர் உலகம் வியக்கும் சம்ஸ்க்ருத ஆசிரியர் பாணினி சொல்கிறார் ; ஆக இந்துக்கள்தான் முதல் முதலில் விண்மீன்களுக்கு பெயர் சூட்டினர். பின்னர் கிரேக்கர்கள் நம்மைக் காப்பி அடித்தனர்; வெள்ளைக்காரர்களுக்கு கிரேக்க விஷயங்கள் மட்டுமே தெரியும் ; இந்துக்கள் பற்றி அதிகம் தெரியாது.

These lines come from Caesar’s speech in Act III, scene i,

ஜூலியஸ் சீசர் நாடகத்தில், அவனை நண்பர்களே சேர்ந்து படுகொலை செய்யும் முன்பாக, அவன் பேசிய வசனத்தில் சொல்கிறான் – நானா வட நட்சத்திரம் போல உறுதியான வன். சொன்ன ;சொல் மாறமாட்டேன்.

இதிலுள்ள வட நட்சத்திரம் என்பது துருவ நட்சத்திரம் என்பதில் யாருக்கும் கருத்து வேறுபாடு இல்லை. ஆயினும் துருவ நட்சத்திரம் பிரபலமானது கப்பலோட்டிகளால்தான்; அது ஒன்றுதான் எப்போதும் மாலுமிகளுக்கு வடதிசையைக் காட்டிக்கொண்டிருந்தது என்று எழுதியுள்ளனர் .

அவர்களுக்கு இந்துக்களின் துருவன் பற்றித் தெரியாது மாற்றாந் தாயினால் புறக்கணிக்கப்பட்ட துருவன் என்னும் சின்னப் பையன் நாராயணனை வணங்கி நட்சத்திரமானது இந்துக்கள் எல்லோருக்கும் தெரியும்

துருவ என்ற ஸம்ஸ்க்ருதச் சொல்லுக்கு உறுதி, நிலையான என்று பொருள். இது நமது யஜுர் வேதத்தில் உள்ளது ; மேலும் பூமியின் அச்சு சுழன்று கொண்டிருப்பதால், பல ஆயிரம் ஆண்டுகளுக்கு ஒரு முறை துருவ நட்சத்திரம் மாறும். இந்த விஷயம் கூட மஹாபாரதத்தில் உள்ளது பின்னால் வந்த வான சாஸ்திரிகள் இது பற்றி விரிவாகவே ஸம்ஸ்க்ருதத்தில் விளக்கியுள்ளனர். ஜூலியஸ் சீசர் பேசியபோது இதை அறிந்தே சொல் லி இருக்க வேண்டும்.

துருவ என்பதை அராபியர்கள் துர்பன் என்பர். அப்படியே சம்ஸ்க்ருதச் சொல்!  ப = வ என்பது உலகம் முழுதும் உள்ளது.

சிந்து-  சரஸ்வதி நதி நாகரிக முத்திரையில் ‘தேவ’

தேவ என்ற சொல்லு ஒளிர்பவன் என்று பொருள்; இறைவனை நாம் தேவ என்ற பொதுப்பெயரால் குறிப்பிடுகிறோம்; அவனது மனைவியை தேவி என்போம் ; சிந்து சமவெளி முத்திரைகளில் மிகவும் முக்கியமாக வருவது மீன் முத்திரை; இதைக் கடவுள் என்று பலரும் வியாக்கியானம் செய்கின்றனர். உண்மையில் இது தேவ, தேவி என்ற பொருள் தரும் அடையாளக்குறி ஆகும்  ஆக இந்துக்கள் எழுதிய ஒளிவீசும் புண்ய ஆத்மாக்களை சிந்து சமவெளி முத்திரைகள் காட்டுகின்றன என்று நான் கருதுகிறேன். (முன்னரும் இது பற்றி எழுதியுள்ளேன் )

இது மாக்பெத் நாடகத்தில் வரும் வசனம் . இதில் நடசத்திரங்களுக்கு தேவதைகள் ஒளியுட்டுவதாகவும் ‘இன்று நமது கொலைத் திட்டத்துக்கு சாதகமாக தேவதைகள் , சில நட்சத்திரங்களுக்கு மட்டுமே ஒளியைக் கொடுத்திருப்பதாகம் சொல்கிறான். இதில் எவருக்கும் கருத்து வேறு பாடு இல்லை. ஆகவே நட்சத்திரங்கள்–தேவதை தொடர்பினை எல்லோரும் ஒப்புக் கொள்கிறார்கள் ;இதை எழுத்து வடிவில் பல ஆயிரம் ஆண்டுகளுக்கு முன்னரே மஹாபாரதத்தில் கொடுத்துவிட்டோம் .

மஹரிஷியின் சகோதரரும் அவரது நெருங்கிய உறவினர்களும் ஆசிரமத்தின் பணியை மேற்கொண்டதோடு முக்கிய பொறுப்புகளையும் வகித்தனர்.

 மறைவு

ஸ்விட்சர்லாந்தில் செலிஸ்பர்க்கைத் தன் தலைமையகமாகக் கொண்டு உலக மையங்களை அவர் இயக்கலானார். பின்னர் 1991-ம் ஆண்டு

நெதர்லாந்தில் உள்ள விளாட்ராப் என்ற இடத்திற்குச் சென்ற அவர் 2008-ல் அவர் மறையும் வரை அங்கேயே தங்கலானார்.

வாழ்நாளின் இறுதிக் காலத்தில் அவர் தனது இரு அறைகளை விட்டு வெளியே வரவில்லை.

பெரும்பாலும் வீடியோக்கள் மூலமாகவே அவர் பார்வையாளர்களைச் சந்தித்தார்; உரைகளை நிகழ்த்தினார்.

2008-ம் ஆண்டு பிப்ரவரி மாதம் 5ம் தேதி உறங்குகையில் மிக அமைதியாக அவர் தன் உடலை உகுத்தார். அப்போது அவருக்கு வயது 91.

மறைவதற்கு ஒரு வாரத்திற்கு முன்னர்  ஆழ்நிலை தியான இயக்கத் தலைமைப் பொறுப்பிலிருந்து தன்னை விடுவித்துக் கொள்வதாக அவர் அறிவித்தார்.

அவரது மறைவை ஒட்டி ஒலிபரப்பு ஒன்றை மேற்கொண்ட பி.பி.சி. உலக ஒற்றுமைக்கும் உலக மக்களுக்காகவும் ஓயாமல் உழைத்த  மாமனிதர் மகேஷ் யோகி என்று வானளவாகப் புகழ்ந்தது

30-8-2019 அன்று மகேஷ் யோகியை கௌரவிக்கும் விதமாக இந்திய அரசு தபால்தலை ஒன்றை வெளியிட்டது

 மஹரிஷியின் பொன்மொழிகள் 

ஒரு மனிதனை ஆரோக்கியத்துடனும் மன நிம்மதியுடனும், தேவையான செல்வத்துடனும் நீடித்த ஆயுளுடனும் வாழ வைக்கும் ஆசனங்கள் மற்றும் தியான முறைகளைக் கற்பிப்பதே ஆழ்நிலை தியானம் என்று சுருக்கமாகச் சொல்லி விடலாம்.

 மஹரிஷி தனது வாழ்க்கையில் ஏராளமான அறிவுரைகளைத் தந்துள்ளார். அவற்றில் சில:-

 இருளுடன் சண்டை போடாதிர்கள். ஒளியை ஏற்றுங்கள். இருள் தானே மறையும்.

 எப்போதும் சந்தோஷமாக இருப்பதே முக்கியமானது. சந்தோஷமாக இருக்கும் போது இயற்கையின் அரிய உதவி மிக அதிகமாகக் கிடைக்கும்.

 மனமே தான் எல்லாம். நாம் எதை நினைக்கிறோமோ அதுவாகவே ஆவோம்.

These blessed candles of the night

Pardon me, good lady,

For by these blessèd candles of the night,

Had you been there I think you would have begged

The ring of me to give the worthy doctor.

((My honour would not let me show such ingratitude to the man. Pardon me, good lady. I swear by these blessed stars that if you were there you yourself would have begged me to give the ring to the worthy lawyer.))

Here the commentators are dodgy and evasive about the  word ‘BLESSED’ . Some even interpreted CANDLES as candles quoting Jesua and the Bible. Others interpreted as STARS.

Stars in Mahabharata

Matali, the space man and the pilot of the Inter Galactic Space Shuttle, took Arjuna to Indra Loka to get ultra modern weapons of war. It is in the Vanaparava of Mahabharata . Arjuna was wonderstruck when he saw thousands of stars outside and asked Matali what they were. Matali told him that these are the holy souls from the earth, who came here after death.

Hindus believed stars are souls of the holy people and named many stars after Agastya, Tri Sankhu, Dhruva, Sapta Rishis, Arndhati, Arudra etc.

So the Shakespearean word Blessed candles of the night mean only holy stars.

The skies are painted with unnumbered sparks,

These lines come from Caesar’s speech in Act III, scene i, just before his assassination. The conspirators have come to Caesar in the Senate under the preteens of pleading for amnesty for Metellus’s banished brother, Publius Cimber. Caesar replies that he will adhere to his word and not change his earlier decision.

Comparing himself to the North Star, Caesar boasts of his constancy, his commitment to the law, and his refusal to waver under any persuasion. This comparison implies more than steadfastness, however: the North Star is the star by which sailors have navigated since ancient times, the star that guides them in their voyages, just as Caesar leads the Roman people.

Northern Star in Hindu Literature

Dhruva does find a mention in the Rgveda but there is no reference to the pole star. It is in the Taittiriya Aranyaka of the Krishna Yajurveda (Prapathaka 2, Anuvaka 19) that we find a clear reference to the fourteen stars in the constellation of Sisumara (whale or porpoise) which is seen in the northern sky, according to Prof. R N Iyengar who delivered a lecture in 2016. He also answered the following questions.

a) Which polestar was visible during the Mahabharat war?

This question indirectly presupposes a period for the MB War!  Whatever may be the period of MB several stars which have had the potential to be at the North Celestial Pole must have been visible. Hence alfa-draconis, k-draconis, i-draconis, kochab, alfa-U.minor (the current Pole Star), Vega etc must have been visible.

 b) Does Mahabharat tell us about the change in the pole star?

Yes, it does. MB mentions that the star named Dhruva was moving.

dhruvah prajvalito ghoram apasavyam pravartate|| (Bhi.Parvan 3.17)

c) If so does this information help us in dating the war?

It provides information on when MB war could not have occurred. The default option for calling a star “dhruva” should have been that it was “fixed” being too close to the North Celestial Pole so as to look fixed in naked eye observations. This was possible for only alfa-Draconis which was only seven minutes away from the Pole in 2830 BC. The name for this star originally was Abhaya as per Tai.Ara. We have to infer that the fixed nature of the star was observed, and it acquired the name Dhruva during 2800-2900 BC. Once the star had such a special quality, the adjective became the name itself. So MB statement (Bh.P 3.17) above could not have been valid before 2830 BC. The Vedic tradition of Dhruva was never isolated from the constellation Shishumaara. MB is no exception.

The archery competition for Draupadis’ marriage was held in a town specially built in the north-eastern direction of the capital and it was named  shishumaarapura, figuratively indicating that the constellation had changed its orientation as seen from earth, due to Dhruva moving away.

tataḥ purajanāssarve sāgaroddhūta nissvanāḥ|

śiśumārapuram prāpya nyaviśan teca pārthivāḥ||

   prāguttareṇa nagarād bhūmibhāge same śubhe|

 samājavāṭaḥ śuśubhe bhavanaiḥ sarvato vṛtaḥ||   MB Ādi Parvan ( Ch 176 v 15,16)

Dhruva is Sangam Tamil Literature

Sangam Tamil literature which is at least 2000 year old, mentioned the Sapta Rishi / Ursa Major/ Great Dipper Constellation and Arundhati star six times. It also mentioned both the Seven Star Constellation (Sapta Rishi) and Arundhati are worshipped by the Tamils. Dhruva is in straight line from two stars of Sapta Rishi Constellation. Hindus knew that.

The very word Dhruva means Firm, Constant. It is used in Tamil as Uruthi and Thurban in Arabic. One can notice the sound Druv in both.

When Caesar mentioned I am CONSTANT as Northern Star, he mentioned only the Hindu View. How the little boy Dhruva became Dhruva star is known to all Hindus.

When Banquo says, ‘There’s husbandry in heaven; Their candles are all out’ in Macbeth, he means that the angels are illuminating few stars in order to economise. There’s Ulysses and old Nestor, whose wit was mouldy ere your grandsires had nails on their toes, yoke you like draught-oxen, and make you plough up the wars.

Hindu Views

Stars and angel link shows that it is echo of Mahabharata where Matali said to Arjuna the stars are holy souls. Egyptians also built Pyramids with a hole linking the stars in the heaven ( It is in my article THUBAN IS WRONG, DHRUVA IS RIGHT! (Post.8934) posted on 15 Nov 2020.

Romeo must become a Star ; Juliet’s Wish

What does Juliet mean when she says “take him and cut him out in Little Stars”?

Here, Juliet expresses her deep love for Romeo, wishing for him to become a constellation upon his death so that his beauty can be admired forever. This metaphorically shows Juliet’s commitment and admiration for Romeo, while foreshadowing his death and its impact.13 Sept 2011

உலகம் முழுதும் ஒலிக்கும் தமிழ்ப் பழமொழிகள் -5

தென்கிழக்காசிய நாடுகளிலும் தூரக்கிழக்கு நாடுகளிலும் முழங்கும்  பழமொழிகள்,  தமிழ்ப் பழமொழிகளை  ஒத்து இருக்கின்றன ; ஒவ்வொரு பழமொழிக்குப் பின்னால், சீனர்கள் ஒரு கதையையும் சொல்கிறார்கள்

இதோ இரண்டு பழமொழிகள்,

ஊருக்குத்தாண்டி உபதேசம் உனக்கல்ல .

உருத்திராக்ஷப் பூனை உபதேசம் பண்ணினதுபோல.

 உடும்புக்கு இரண்டு நாக்கு உண்டு, மனிதனுக்கு இரண்டு நாக்கு உண்டா ?

துவி நாக்கு இடரும்

மாமியார் உடைத்தால் மண்கலம் மருமகள் உடைத்தால் பொன்கலம்  போன்ற தமிழ்ப் பழமொழிகள், மனிதனின் இரட்டை வேடத்தைக் காட்டுகின்றன . இது போன்ற பழமொழி ஜப்பான் சீனா போன்ற நாடுகளிலும் உண்டு .

ஜப்பானில் க்யூட்டோ வோ கக்கட்ட பா நிக்கோ வோ ஊரு

Gyuuto wo kakete ba niku wo ru  meaning to hang up a cow’s head and sell horse meat  என்பார்கள் ; இதன் பொருள்  கடையின் போர்டில் இங்கே மாட்டுத் தலை விற்கப்படும் என்று எழுதிவிட்டு குதிரை மாமிசத்தை விற்கிறான் என்பதாகும்

எதெல்லாம் நகருக்கிறதோ அதையெல்லாம் சாப்பிடலாம் என்ற பாலிசி சீனர்களிடையே இருப்பதால் தேள், பாம்பு, எல்லாவற்   யும் கடைகளிலும் ஹோட்டலகளிலும் காணலாம்.

சீனர்களும் கொரியர்களும் நாய் மாமிசப் பிரியர்கள் ;கொரியாவில் ஆண்டுதோறும் பல லட்சக்கணக்கான நாய்களைக் கொன்று சாப்பிடுகிறார்கள்.

இதைப் பற்றிய சீனக் கதை பின்வருமாறு

எனது அரசவையிலுள்ள பெண்கள் எல்லோரும் இனிமேல் ஆண்கள் உடைகளையே அணிய வேண்டும் என்று  சீனாவின் கீ மாகாண ஆளுநர் தூக்கே ஜிங்காங் உததரவு போட்டான் ; செய்தி அந்த வட்டாரம் முழுதும் பரவியது ; எல்லாப் பெண்களும் ஆண்கள் உடைதரித்து வலம் வரத் தொடங்கினார்கள்;  உடனே மற்ற பெண்கள் இப்படி உடை அணியக் கூடாது என்று மன்னன் தடை போட்டான்;  பிரதம அமைச்சர் யான் யின்னுக்கு இது பிடிக்கவில்லை; அவர் சொன்னார் , அன்பரே நீர் செய்வது கடையில் மாட்டுத் தலையத் தொங்கவிட்டு குதிரை மாமிசத்தை விற்பது போல இருக்கிறது என்று இடித்துரைத்தார்  உடனே அவர் எல்லாவற்றையும் நிறுத்தினார். பின்னர் இதுவே ஆட்டுத்தலையைத் தொங்கவிட்டு நாய் மாமிசம் விற்பது போல என்று மாறியது . காரணம் சீனர்களும் கொரியர்களும் லட்சக்கணக்கில் நாய்களை அடித்துச் சாப்பிடத் துவங்கி விட்டார்கள் .

நான் மதுரையில் மாணவனாக இருந்தபோதும் இப்படி ஏமாற்று வேலைகளைக் கண்டு இருக்கிறேன். இந்த ஹோட்டல்களில் செய்யப்பட  பட்சணங்கள் நெய்யினால் செய்யப்பட்டதல்ல என்று போர்டு இருக்கும் அதில் நெய் என்பது வரை கொட்டை எழுத்துக்களில் இருக்கும்.

அந்தக் காலத்தில் மேலை நாட்டில் கிறிஸ்தவ பாதிரிகளின் உபன்யாசம் பற்றி ஒரு கதை சொல்லுவார்கள்; கிறிஸ்துவ எல்லோரிடமும் அன்பு செலுத்த வேண்டும் என்று சொல்லியிருக்கிறார் என்று உபதேசம் செய்துவிட்டு வீட்டிலுள்ள மாட்டை அடித்து மாட்டுக்கறி சமைக்கச் சொன்னவுடன் மனைவி கேட்டாளாம் “என்ன ஓய், இவ்வளவு நேரம் அன்பு பற்றி உபதேசம் செய்துவிட்டு நம் அன்புக்குரிய பசுமாட்டினைக் கொல்லச் சொல்கிறீர்களே” என்று.

ஜியாங் பிரபு வறுமையானவுடன் அவனுடைய மனைவி ஓடிவிட்டாள்;  சூ Zhou Dynasty வம்ச மன்னன் வென்வாங், அந்தப் பிரபுவை பிரதம அமைச்சராக நியமித்தான்; பணமு புகழும் உச்சத்துக்கு ஏறின ; உட மனைவி நைசாக ஓட்ட வந்தாள்; அவர் ஒரு கோப்பையில் தண்ணீரைக் கொடுத்து இதைக் கீழே கொட்டு என்கிறார் அவளுமப்படியே செய்தாள்; இப்போது அதை எடுத்து கோப்பையை நிரப்பு என்கிறார் அவள் முழி முழி என்று முழி த்தாள்; இது போலத்தான் நானும் நீயும் என்றார். அவளும் திரும்பிச் சென்றாள் .

ஆழ்நிலை தியானம் மற்றும் யோகாவை உலகெங்கும் பரப்பிய  மகேஷ் யோகி! – 1

உலகெங்கும் யோகா மற்றும் தியானம் ஆகியவற்றை அறியச் செய்தவர்களுள் மிக முக்கியமானவரும் பல லட்சம் பேர்களை ஆன்மீகத்தில் உயர ஏற்றியவருமான ஒருவர் மகேஷ் யோகி!

 டிஎம் அல்லது ட்ரான்ஸிடெண்டல் மெடிடேஷன் எனப்படும் ஆழ்நிலை தியானம் பற்றி இன்று அறியாதோர் இல்லை. அதை உருவாக்கி உலகம் முழுவதும் உள்ள ஏராளமானோரை பயனடையச் செய்தவர் அவரே.

பிறப்பும் இளமையும்!

பின்னால் மஹரிஷி மகேஷ் யோகி என்று அறியப்பட்ட மகேஷ் ப்ரசாத் வர்மா 1917-ம் ஆண்டு ஜனவரி மாதம் 12-ம் தேதி மத்திய பிரதேச மாநிலம் ஜபல்பூருக்கு அருகே உள்ள சிச்லி என்ற கிராமத்தில் காயஸ்த வகுப்பைச் சேர்ந்த குடும்பத்தில் பிறந்தார்.

1942-ல் அலகாபாத் பல்கலைக்கழகத்தில் இயற்பியலில் பட்டம் பெற்ற அவர் சிறிது காலம் தொழிற்சாலைகளில் வேலை பார்த்தார். ஆன்மீக ஈர்ப்பால் ஒரு குருவைத் தேடத் தொடங்கிய அவர் ப்ரஹ்மானந்த சரஸ்வதியை தரிசித்தார்.

குரு ப்ரஹ்மானந்த சரஸ்வதி

ஜோதிர் மடம் சங்கராசார்யரான ப்ரஹ்மானந்த சரஸ்வதி என்ற மகானைக் குருவாகக் கொண்டதோடு அவரது செயலாளராகவும் பணி புரிந்தார் மகேஷ் யோகி. ‘முதலில் பட்டப் படிப்பை முடி; பெற்றோரிடமிருந்து அனுமதி பெற்று இங்கு வா’ என்றார் குரு. இரண்டரை வருட காலம் அவரது வழிமுறைகளுக்காகத் தன்னைத் தயார்படுத்திக் கொண்ட மகேஷ் யோகி, அவரிடம் அனைத்து யோகா மற்றும் தியான முறைகளை நன்கு கற்றுக் கொண்டார்.

1953-ல் அவரது குரு இறைவனடி சேரவே இமயமலையில் உள்ள உத்தர்காண்ட் சென்றார் அவர்.

இமயமலைக் காடுகளில் தவம் புரிந்த அவர்  1955ல் ஆழ்நிலை தியானத்தை உலகிற்கு அறிமுகப்படுத்தினார். ஆழ்நிலை தியானம் என்பது ஒரு நாளைக்கு இரு முறை செய்யப்பட வேண்டிய தியானமாகும். இதற்கு விசேஷ மந்திரமும் உண்டு. இது சாதகரை உயர் பிரக்ஞை நிலைக்கு முன்னேற்றி விடும்.

இரு வருடங்கள் இந்தியா முழுவதும் பயணப்பட்ட பின்,

1958-ல் அவர் தனது முதல் உலகப் பயணத்தை மேற்கொண்டார். ஐந்து முறை உலகப் பயணத்தை மேற்கொண்ட அவர் கனடா, அமெரிக்கா, இங்கிலாந்து, ஸ்விட்சர்லாந்து உள்ளிட்ட அனைத்து நாடுகளுக்கும் சென்றார்.

40000 ஆழ்நிலை தியான பயிற்சியாளர்களை உருவாக்கினார்.  50 லட்சம் பேர்களுக்கு இவர்கள் ஆழ்நிலை தியான முறையைக் கற்பித்தனர். இத்தோடு டி எம் சித்தி புரோகிராம் மற்றும் யோகா ஃப்ளையிங் பயிற்சிகள் அவரை உலகிற்கு புதிய குருவாகக் காட்டின.

இத்துடன் மட்டுமல்லாமல் மஹரிஷி வித்யா மந்திர் உள்ளிட்ட அவரது கல்விக் கூடங்கள் 118 நகர்களில் உருவாகின. 5500 ஆசிரியர்கள் சுமார் ஒரு லட்சம் மாணவர்களுக்குப் புதிய கல்வித் திட்டம் மூலம் நல்ல பயிற்சியை வழங்கினர்;

ரோல்ஸ்ராய்ஸ் காரில் பயணம், தனி ஹெலிகாப்டரில் பயணம் என்ற அவரது பயண நிகழ்வுகள் உலக பத்திரிகைகளின் கவனத்தை ஈர்க்கும் விஷயங்களாக ஆகி விட்டன!

2008ல் அவரது சொத்தின் மதிப்பு 300 கோடி அமெரிக்க டாலர் என்ற அளவில் பெருகியது.

அவரது மருத்துவ மனைகள், ஆரோக்கியத்தை மேம்படுத்த உலக மக்களுக்கு உதவின.

பீட்டில்ஸ் இசைக்குழு

1962 முதல் உலகின் ஆகப்பெரும் இசைக்குழுவாக பீட்டில்ஸ் குழு திகழ்ந்தது. ஜான் லெனான், பௌல் மக்கார்ட்டினி, ஜார்ஜ் ஹாரிஸன், ரிங்கோ ஸ்டோர் ஆகிய நால்வர் உறுப்பினர்களாக இருந்தனர். இவர்களது இசையால் உலகப் புகழ் பெற்றது பீட்டில்ஸ் இசைக் குழு.

இக்குழுவில் இருந்தோர் அனைவருக்கும் ஒரு ஆன்மீக தாகம் ஏற்பட்டது. “அதிகப் புகழை அடைந்து விட்டோம். ஆனால் இதெல்லாம் எதற்காக” என்ற ஒரு தேடல் உணர்வு குழுவினரிடையே ஏற்பட்டது. 1967 பிப்ரவரியில் ஜார்ஜ் ஹாரிஸனின் மனைவி பாட்டி பாய்ட் ஆழ்நிலை தியானம் பற்றி அறிந்து தன் கணவரிடம் சொல்ல அதே ஆண்டு ஆகஸ்ட் மாதம் லண்டனில் நிகழ்ந்த மஹரிஷியின் உரைக்கு இருவரும் சென்றனர். பின்னர் வேல்ஸில் நடந்த பத்து நாள் முகாமிற்கு பீட்டில்ஸ் குழுவினர் சென்று அதில் கலந்து கொண்டனர்.

தங்களின் ஆன்மீகத் தேடலுக்கு விடை காண குழுவினர் அனைவரும் 1968 பிப்ரவரி மாதம் ரிஷிகேசம் வந்து சேர்ந்தனர்.

உலகெங்குமுள்ள பத்திரிகைகள் இதைப் பெரிய நிகழ்வாகக் கொண்டு செய்திகளைச் சேகரிக்க ஆரம்பித்தன. ஆன்மீக எழுச்சிக்காக அவர்கள் ரிஷிகேசத்தில் உள்ள மஹரிஷியின் ஆசிரமத்திற்கு வந்தது அவர்களது படைப்பாற்றல் திறனை வெகுவாகத் தூண்டிவிட்டது. எப்போதுமில்லாத விதமாக அற்புதமான 48 பாடல்களை அவர்கள் உருவாக்கினர். இவற்றில் பெரும்பாலானவை மிகவும் பிரபலமான ‘வொய்ட் ஆல்பம்’ என்ற அந்த வருடத்திய வெளியீட்டில் சேர்க்கப்பட்டிருந்தன. பீட்டில்ஸ் குரு என்ற பெயரை மஹரிஷி பெற்றார்.

ஆனால் மஹரிஷியைப் பற்றிய சில புரளிகளால் மூன்று மாதம் தங்க திட்டமிட்ட அவர்களது ரிஷிகேச வாசம் பாதியிலேயே முடிந்தது. ஆனால் பின்னால் பலவருடங்களுக்குப் பிறகு அவர்களில் சிலர் மீண்டும் மஹரிஷியைச் சந்தித்தனர். தங்களது தவறான புரிதலுக்கு அவர்கள் பெரிதும் வருந்தினர்.

ஆனால் மஹரிஷியோ அவர்கள் வந்ததையும் பெரிது படுத்தவில்லை; அவர்கள் சென்றதற்கும் அலட்டிக் கொள்ளவில்லை.

அறிவியல் சோதனைகள் மூலம் நிரூபணம்!

ஒரு சமுதாயம் நலமுற இருக்கவேண்டுமெனில் அந்த சமுதாயத்தில் வாழும் மக்கள் நல்ல ஆரோக்கியத்துடனும் மனநலத்துடனும் இருத்தல் வேண்டும்.

இதற்கு ஆழ்நிலை தியானம் உதவுகிறது என்பதை அறிவியல் சோதனைகள் நிரூபித்துள்ளன.

ஆழ்நிலை தியானத்தினால் என்ன பயன் என்று கேட்கும் சில பகுத்தறிவுவாதிகளுக்குப் பதில் சொல்லும் விதமாக ஏராளமான அறிவியல் சோதனைகளின் முடிவுகளை வரைபடங்களுடன் 1977-ல் ‘‘க்ரியேடிங் அன் ஐடியல் சொஸைடி – மஹரிஷி எஃபெக்ட்’ என்ற  170 பக்கங்கள் அடங்கிய ஒரு புத்தகம் வெளியிடப்பட்டது. ஆழ்நிலை தியானத்தைப் பற்றி நூற்றுக்கும் மேலான புத்தகங்கள் வெளிவந்துள்ளன. என்ற போதிலும் இது குறிப்பிடத்தக்க புத்தகமாக அமைகிறது.

இதிலுள்ள அறிவியல் சோதனை முடிவுகள் விவரிக்கும் வரைபடங்களின் சுருக்கத்தை மட்டும் இங்கு பார்ப்போம்.

1)       உயிர்ப்பொருள் மாறுபாடு என்னும் மெடபாலிக் ரேட், ஆக்ஸிஜன் அளவை அளப்பதன் மூலம் பெறப்பட்டது. ஆழ்நிலை தியானத்தின் போது ஆக்ஸிஜனை உட்கொள்ளும் அளவு வியக்கத்தக்க அளவில் குறைவாக இருந்தது. இது ஒரு ஆழ்ந்த ஓய்வை உடலுக்குத் தருகிறது.

2)       எலக்ட்ரோ கார்டியோ கிராம் மூலமாக  ஆழ்நிலை தியானத்தில் தேர்ந்த 11பயிற்சியாளர்கள் மூலமாக அவர்களது இதயத் துடிப்பின் அளவு ரிகார்ட் செய்யப்பட்டது.  இதன் மூலம் ஆழ்நிலை தியானத்தில் ஈடுபடும் போது இதயத்துடிப்பின் அளவு நிமிடத்திற்கு ஐந்து துடிப்புகள் குறைவது தெரிய வந்தது.

3)       முன்கையில் ஏற்படும் ரத்த ஓட்டத்தை ஐந்து பேரிடம் ஆழ்நிலை தியானத்திற்கு முன்னர், தியானம் செய்யப்படும் நிலையில் மற்றும் ஆழ்நிலை தியானம் முடிந்த பின்னர் அமைதியாக உட்காரும் நிலையில் 180 முறை அளவுகள் எடுக்கப்பட்டன.  இந்த முன்கை ரத்த ஓட்ட அளவு தானியங்கி நரம்பு மண்டலத்தின் நிலையைத் தெளிவாகக் காட்டும் ஒன்று. 32 சதவிகித முன்கை ரத்த ஓட்ட அளவு அதிகரிப்பு  தானியங்கி மண்டலத்தின்  அதிக அளவு சமச்சீர் நிலை பெறுவதைத் தெளிவாகக் காட்டியது.

4)       ப்ளாஸ்மா கார்டிஸாலின் அளவு வெகுவாகக் குறைவது காணப்பட்டது.  அதிக அளவு கார்டிஸால் அளவு அதிக அளவு கவலையையும், மனநிம்மதி அற்ற தன்மையையும் கொண்டதைக் காட்டும். ஆனால் ஆழ்நிலை தியானத்தால் கவலை, மன அழுத்தம் குறைந்து எப்போதும் சமச்சீருடனான சாந்தமான மனநிலையைக் கொண்டிருப்பதைக் காட்டியது.

5)       தோலின் எதிர்ப்புத் தன்மை கூடுகிறது.

6)       படைப்பாற்றல் திறன் கூடுகிறது

7)       நுண்ணறிவுத் திறன் கூடுகிறது.

8)       மதுப் பழக்கம் போன்றவற்றைத் தடுக்கிறது

இது போன்ற இன்னும் ஏராளமான நலன்களை அறிவியல் சோதனைகள் நிரூபிப்பதைக் காண்கிறோம்.

Japanese Proverbs and Chinese Stories (Post No.13,764)

Southeast Asian countries and Far Eastern countries share the same proverbs with slight changes.

He hangs up a cow’s head and sells horse meat is known to many in those countries

Chinse and Koreans are eating dog’s meat. As of today, Koreans eat ten lakhs dogs every year. Chinese eat anything that moves including scorpions, lizards and snakes.

So they change the proverb as He hangs up a sheep’s head and sells dog meat.

In Japanese it is

Gyuuto wo kakete ba niku wo ru  meaning to hang up a cow’s head and sell horse meat

The story behind this proverb comes from China :

Duke Jinggong of Qi ordered the woman in his court to wear men’s clothes. This was then imitated in the state, although he prohibited it. Yan Yin, his prime minister tod him, You encourage women to war men’s clothes at the court but prohibit other women doing the same. This is just like hanging up an ox head as a sign and actually selling horse meat. The warning was accepted, and the unwanted practice stopped. Later hanging up a sheep’s head and selling dog meat became an idiom.

Nowadays the insurance companies and travel agents do the same. They get all the money for a number of years from the customers and when one claims money they show the small print matter and say they can’t provide the money

When I was a school boy in Madurai, Tamil Nadu we used to see similar cheating advertisements in the Tamil restaurants. The board said GHEE is not used to make the food stuff in this hotel, is not will be in smallest letters

Or spilt water cannot be gathered

In Japanese they say,

In tamil they say broken glass or broken pot cannot be fixed

5026. பொன்னின் குடம் உடைந்தால் பொன் ஆகும் என்ன ஆகும் மண்ணின் குடம் உடைந்தாக்கால் ?

Though broken to pieces a golden pot will still be gold, of what use is an earthen pot when broken?

5224. மாமி ஒட்டினாலும் பானை ஒட்டாது.

Though a mother-in-law may be reconciled, the broken pieces of any earthen pot cannot be reunited.

The story for this proverb is as follows,

Lord Jiang was left by his wife due to his poverty. Later he was appointed Prime Minister by king Wenwang of  Zhou dynasty and then she wanted to reunite with him. Jiang spilt a basin full of water on the ground and asked his wife to recover it. Of course she failed and then he said, As you left me it is impossible for us to make it up. It is like spilt water that cannot be recovered.

The Japanese proverb is used in the cases of divorces.  In Japan persons separated rarely come together again.
