படகு /ப்லவ/ பிலவ வருஷ தமிழ்ப் புத்தாண்டு வாழ்த்துக்கள்

அறுபது வருட வரிசையில் முப்பத்தைந்தாவதாக இடம்பெறுவது படகு. இதற்கான ஸம்ஸ்க்ருத்ச் சொல்  ‘ப்லவ’ (Float/Boat in English) .

இந்த ஆண்டு எல்லோருக்கும் எல்லா நலன்களையுயும் அளிக்கட்டும்!

படகு /ப்லவ என்று சொன்னவுடன் சில படகு விஷயங்கள் நினைவுக்கு வருகின்றன.

அப்பர் பெருமான் 1400 ஆண்டுகளுக்கு முன்னர் படகு பற்றிப் பாடினார் :–

மனம் எனும் தோணி பற்றி, மதி எனும் கோலை ஊன்றி

சினம் எனும் சரக்கை ஏற்றி செறி கடல் ஓடும்போது

மனன் எனும் பாறை தாக்கி மறியும் போது, அறிய ஒண்ணாது

உனை உனும் உணர்வை நல்காய், ஒற்றியூர் உடைய கோவே

–அப்பர் தேவாரம் 4-46

அழகான உருவக அணி!

மனம் = படகு/தோணி

மதி /அறிவு = துடுப்பு

சினம் = சரக்கு

கடல் = சம்சார சாகரம்/ பிறவிப் பெருங்கடல் (குறள் )

மனன் = மன்மதன்/காமம்

மறியும்போது = இறக்கக்கூடிய சூழ்நிலை ஏற்பட்டால்

உன்னை நினைக்கும் உணர்வு = ஓற்றியூரில் கோவில்கொண்ட

சிவபெருமானே  உன்னை நினைந்தால் போதும் ; உய்வு உண்டு.

மனம் என்பது ஒரு படகு என்பதையும், அது காற்று அடிக்கும் திசைக்கு ஏற்பச் சென்றால் என்ன நடக்கும் என்பதையும் அழகாக எடுத்துரைக்கிறார் அப்பர் என்னும் திருநாவுக்கரசர் நாலாம் திருமுறையில்.

ஆக ப்லவ வருஷ அறிவுரை:

படகை ஜாக்கிரதையாக, கவனமாக செலுத்துங்கள் !

அடுத்தபடியாக என் நினைவுக்கு வரும் கவிதை பாரதியாரின் கவிதையே!

சிந்து நதியின் மிசை நிலவினிலே

சேர நன்னாட்டிளம் பெண்களுடனே

சுந்தரத் தெலுங்கினில் பாட்டிசைத்துத்

தோணிகளோட்டி விளையாடி வருவோம்

நல்ல சுவையான அருமையான கற்பனை : மலையாள அழகிகள்; நதி- பஞ்சாப் பில் ஓடும் சிந்து நதி ; அதில் தோணி/படகுப் பயணம். பின்னணியில் தெலுங்கு மொழியின் தேனிசை !

இப்படி வாழ்நாள் முழுதும் கழிக்க முடிந்தால் எப்போதும் தோணி/ படகு/ கப்பல்/ ப்லவ நீடிக்கட்டும்! .

அப்பருக்கு ஆயிரம் ஆண்டுகளுக்கு முன்னர் வாழ்ந்தவர் புத்தர். அவர் கடலைக் கண்டதில்லை என்றே தோன்றுகிறது. ஏனெனில் அவர் வலம் வந்த இடங்கள் பீஹார் , உத்தரப்பிரதேச மாநில  நகரங்களே . அவர் படகு பற்றிப் படுகிறார். அது கங்கை நதி அல்லது ஏரிப்  படகாக இருக்கவேண்டும்

தம்மபதத்தில் புத்தரும் அப்பர் போல எச்சரிக்கிறார் –

வாழ்க்கை என்னும் படகிலுள்ள சரக்கை தூக்கி எறியுங்கள் ; அப்போது அது வேகமாகச் செல்லும்  தீய ஆசைகளையும் புலன் இன்பத்தையும் (சரக்கு) களைந்து விட்டால் வாழ்க்கைப்படகு ‘நிர்வாணம்’ (முக்தி) என்னும் இடத்தை விரைவில் அடைந்து விடும் – தம்மபதம் 369.

வாழ்க்கை = படகு

சரக்கு = ஆசைகள்

4 ராசிக்காரர்களுக்கு அதிர்ஷ்டம் அடிக்கும் பிலவ ஆண்டு.

இறுதியாக இந்த பிலவ ஆண்டின் அதிர்ஷ்ட சாலிகள் யார் என்று பார்ப்போம் :-

தனுர், மீனம், ராசிக்காரர்களுக்கு அதிர்ஷ்டம் ; அதைவிட கூடுதல் அதிர்ஷ்டம் மகர ,கும்ப ராசிக்கார்களுக்கு இருந்தாலும் அதே அளவுக்கு நஷ்டமும் உண்டு ; அதாவது லாபமும் நஷ்டமும் சமம்

அதிக நஷ்டம் உடைய  ராசிகள் –

கடக , சிம்மம்

ஏனைய ராசிக்காரர்களுக்கு லாப- நஷ்டம் சமம்

என்றும் இன்பம் பெருகும் இயல்பினால்

ஒன்று காதலித்து உள்ளமும் ஓங்கிட

மன்று உளார் அடியார் அவர் வான்புகழ்

நின்றது எங்கும் நிலவி உலகெலாம்

தங்கம் அல்ல, மனிதர்களே தேவை!

பாழ்பட்டு வீழ்ந்திருக்கும் ஒரு உன்னதமான தேசத்தை உயர்த்தி மீண்டும் அந்த மகோன்னத நிலையை அடையச் செய்ய தங்கம் வேண்டாம். அர்ப்பணிப்பு மனப்பான்மை கொண்ட தைரியமிக்க மனிதர்களே வேண்டும். இதை அழகுற எமர்ஸன் ஒரு கவிதை வாயிலாகத் தெரிவிக்கிறார்:

தங்கம் அல்ல, மனிதர்களே மக்களை மகத்தானவர்களாகவும் வலிமையானவர்களாகவும் உருவாக்க  முடியும்;

ஸத்தியத்திற்காகவும் கௌரவத்திற்காகவும் எவர்கள் துணிந்து நிற்கிறார்களோ நீடித்து துயர் உறுகிறார்களோ,

மற்றவர்கள் உறங்கும் போது எந்த தைரியமிக்க மனிதர்கள் விழித்திருக்கிறார்களோ,

மற்றவர்கள் பயந்து ஓடி ஒளியும் போது எவர்கள் துணிந்து எதிர் நிற்கிறார்களோ,

அவர்களே ஒரு தேசத்தின் அஸ்திவாரத்தை ஆழமானதாக ஆக்கி அந்த தேசத்தை விண்ணளவு உயர்த்துகிறார்கள்!

 ஸ்வாமி விவேகானந்தர் தனது பல உரைகளிலும் அர்ப்பணிப்பு மனப்பான்மை கொண்ட இளைஞர்களே வாருங்கள் எனக் கூறி பாரத தேச இளைஞர்களைத் தட்டி எழுப்பினார்.

சுதந்திரம் அடைந்து விட்டோம் என்றாலும் கூட நமது புகழோங்கிய பண்டைய நிலையை இன்னும் அடைந்த பாடில்லை. அதை அடைய அவர் காட்டிய வழியே இன்றைய இன்றியமையாத தேவை.

ஸ்வாமிஜியின் உரைகளில் சில பகுதிகளை இங்கே பார்ப்போம்:

Man-Making or Moulding of Workers

We want fiery young men – intelligent and  brave, who dare to go to the jaws of Death, and  are ready to swim the ocean across. We want  hundreds like that, both men and women. Try  your utmost for that end alone. Make converts

right and left, and put them into our purity- drilling machine. Start centres at places, go on always making converts.

A hundred thousand men and women, fired with the zeal of holiness, fortified with eternal faith in the Lord, and nerved to lion’s courage by their sympathy for the poor and the fallen and the downtrodden, will go over the length and

breadth of the land, preaching the gospel of salvation, the gospel of help, the gospel of social raising -up – the gospel of equality.

The highest men are calm, silent, and unknown.

They are the men who really know the power of thought; they are sure that, even if they go into a cave and close the door and simply think five true

thoughts and then pass away, these five thoughts of theirs will live through eternity. Indeed such thoughts will penetrate through the mountains, cross the oceans, and travel through the world. They will enter deep into human hearts and brains and raise up men and women who will give them practical expression in the workings of human life.

You must be Rishis yourselves

Act on the educated young men, bring them together, and organise them. Great things can be done by great sacrifices only. No selfishness, no name, no fame, yours or mine, nor my Master’s even!

Work, work the idea, the plan, my boys, my brave, noble, good souls – to the wheel, to the wheel put your shoulders !

Stop not to look back for name, or fame, or any such nonsense. Throw self

overboard and work. Remember, “The grass when made into a rope by being joined together can even chain a mad elephant.”

Have that faith, each one of you, in yourself – that eternal power is lodged in every soul – and you will revive the whole of India.

Ay, we will then go to every country under the sun, and our ideas will before long be a component of the many forces that are working to make up every nation in the world.

We must enter into the life of every race in India and abroad; shall have to work to bring this about. Now for that, I want young men. “It is the young, the strong, and healthy, of sharp intellect that will reach the Lord”, say the Vedas.

Throughout the history of mankind, if any motive power has been more potent than another in the lives of all great men and women, it is that of faith in themselves. Born with the consciousness that they were to be great, they became great.

Religion in India must be made as free and as easy of access as is God’s air. And this

is the kind of work we have to bring about in India, but not by getting up little sects and fighting on points of difference. Let us preach where we all agree

Give the truth and the false much vanish

if there is the darkness of centuries in a room and we go into the room and begin to cry, “Oh, it is dark, it is dark!”, will the darkness go? Bring in the

light and the darkness will vanish at once. This is the secret of reforming men.

stand fast. If a hundred fall in the fight, seize the flag and carry it on. God is true for all that, no matter who fails. Let him who falls hand on the flag to another to carry on; it can never fall.

சுபாஷித செல்வம்

எப்போதும் சந்தோஷமாக இல்லாத இருவர்; எப்போதும் ஸ்வர்க்க புகழை விட அதிகம் கொள்ளும் இருவர்!

த்வாவிபி புருஷௌ லோகே சுகினௌ ந கதாசன |

யஷ்சாதன: காமயதே யஷ்ச குப்யத்யநீஷ்வர: ||

இந்த இருவர் இந்த உலகில் எப்போதுமே சந்தோஷமாக இருக்க மாட்டார்கள். ஒருவர் மிகுந்த ஆசையுடைய, ஆனால் பணமில்லாத ஒருவர். இன்னொருவர் அதிகாரமே இல்லாத, ஆனால் கோபம் அதிகம் கொண்டவர்!

These two people are never happy in this world, one who is a pauper but is full of desires and the other who has no authority but is full of anger.

த்வாவிபி புருஷௌ லோகே ஸ்வர்கஸ்யோபரி திஷ்டத: |

ப்ரபுஷ்ஸ க்ஷமயா யுவதோ தரித்ரஸ்ச ப்ரதானவான் ||

இந்த இருவர் பூமியில் இருந்தாலும் கூட ஸ்வர்க்க புகழை விட அதிகமாகக் கொண்டவர்கள் ஆவர். ஒருவர் அதிகார பலம் இருந்தும் கூட இரக்க ஸ்வபாவம் கொண்டவர், இன்னொருவர் மிக ஏழ்மையில் இருந்தாலும் கூட கொடுக்கும் மனப்பான்மையை இயற்கையிலேயே கொண்டவர்.

These two people are above the glory of heaven although remaining in this world; one who is in authority but kind-hearted and full of pardon and the other who though poor is charitable in nature.

சிந்தா சிதாசமானாஸ்தி பிந்துமாத்ர விசேஷத: |

சஜீவம் தஹதே நிஜீர்வம் தஹதே சிதா ||

சிந்தையும் – அதாவது கவலையும், சிதையும் ஒன்றே தான்! ஒரு சின்ன ‘ந்’ என்ற புள்ளி தான் இந்த இரண்டிற்கும் உள்ள வேறுபாட்டைக் காட்டுகிறது. கவலையானது உயிரோடிருக்கும் போதே ஒருவனை எரிக்கிறது. ஆனால் சிதையோ செத்துப் போன ஒருவனை எரிக்கிறது.

Anxiety and the funeral pyre are virtually the same; a little ‘NA’ distinguishes the two. Anxiety burns a living person while the funeral pyre burns the dead.

கங்காயா சலிலம் சுப்ரம் சுப்ரம் ச சசிமண்டலம் |

சாதூனாம் ஹ்ருதயம் சுப்ரம் சுப்ரம் ஸத்கர்மணாம் யஷ: ||

கங்கையின் நீரானது சுப்ரமானது, சந்திர மண்டலமும் பிரகாசமானது, மகான்களின் இதயமும் பிரகாசமானது, அதே போலத் தான் நல்ல செயல்களும் பிரகாசனமானவை.

The water of the river Ganga is bright, the disk of the moon is bright, bright is the heart of saintly souls and such is the fame of meritorious deeds.

சுகமாபதிதம் சேவ்யம் துக்கமாபதிதம் ததா |

சக்ரவதி பரிவர்தந்தே துக்கானி ச சுகானி ச ||

சுகம் வரும் போது சந்தோஷப்பட வேண்டும். அதே போலத் தான் துக்கம் வரும் போதும்! ஏனெனில் துன்பங்களும் இன்பங்களும் ஒரு சக்கரத்தைப் போல சுழன்று சுழன்று வருபவையாகும்.

Happiness coming to our lot should be enjoyed and so also the distress that may befall us. For sorrows and joys come and go revolving like a wheel.
