In the last lesson we saw 31 verbs with SEY (make or do)suffix; in lesson 21 we saw reflexive verbs ending with KOL meaning someone is doing something for himself or her self or myself or yourself.
Sey – Payirchi Sey / Do Exercise பயிற்சி செய் (exercise as in lessons or physical exercise as in a Gym)

We will look at more KOL (reflexive verbs)
Unlike Sey, KOL is added to converbial form of the verb; I have underlined them in the following examples
Kol is conjugated in the same way in all the compound reflexive verbs

செய்துகொள் –அவள் அலங்காரம் செய்துகொண்டாள்–
Aval – alankaaram – seythu kondaal
Seythukol – shel—adorn/ decoration/beautify—did it for herself
In Tamil only the noun ‘decorartion’ அலங்காரம்is used because it goes with the verb செய்துகொள்– literally She did Decoration to herself.

Students – cycle- to run—learn for themselves
Students are learning cycling (for themselves)

வாங்கிக்கொள் , — buy it for oneself
சாப்பிட்டுக் கொள் (10)- eat yourself, eat oneself
சமைத்துக்கொள் , — cook on your own or for oneself

எழுதிக்கொள் , — ezuthik kol –write it
மாற்றிக் கொள் — maarrik kol–change it
ஏற்றுக்கொள் , — etruk kol–take it, accept it
விற்றுக்கொள் , – vitruk kol —-sell it
கற்றுக்கொள் – katrukkol – learn
விலகிக்கொள், — vilagik kol – get out of it- resign —
ஒளிந்துகொள் , – olinthu kol – hide yourself
ஒப்புக்கொள் , (20)- oppukkol – confess- accept
விளங்கிக்கொள் , — vilangkik kol – understand —
பார்த்துக்கொள், — paarththuk kol – look for yourself – look after
புரிந்துகொள், — purinthukol — understand
போட்டுக்கொள்– pottukkol – wear it—put on—
,அணிந்துகொள்ள, — aninthu kol – wear it
தாங்கிக்கொள்—thaangik kol —bear it, withstand it
கவனித்துக்கொள்—gavaniththuk kol —take care of
உட்கார்ந்துகொள் ,utkaarnthukol – sit and make yourself comfortable

Mahabharata story – Ekalaivan —self/ on his own— archery — learnt; he himself tree behind— hiding himself— this way—did .
The Mahabharata story is that EKALAIVAN learnt archery for himself; he did it by hiding himself behind a tree.
