 Janmashtami Celebrations in London Hospital (Post No.13,594)

We celebrated Janmashtami, Lord Krishna’s Birth Day, in the Northwick Hospital in Greater London area last week. It was celebrated six days before Janmashtami, because devotees will be very busy near the actual day.

It was part of our weekly prayers in the chapel in the hospital. About 100 devotees from the hospital, both patients and staff, took part in it. Volunteers from Swaminarayan temple and Harekrishna temple came and sang the songs glorifying Lord Krishna.

We did singing with dance in the last 15 minutes . Volunteers from the ISKCON, Hare Krishna Temple led the group. All the devotees joined them enthusiastically. Prasad was distributed at the end. The function went on for two hours.

Wednesday is allocated for Hindu Prayers. And we do celebrate major festivals including Diwali.Hospital  Hindu Chaplain V V Swaminathan leads the prayer every week.
