My grandsons, son, my wife and my dautgher in law were far ahead of me.
I visited one or two rain forests in New South Wales state of Australia. We, in a group, walked through the rain forest in the early weeks of 2025. Our destination was a water fall up above the mountains. Though I struggled to climb, I achieved the target with the help of encouraging words from my relatives and friends. In fact, taking pictures along the route lifted my spirit.
I took lots of pictures in Minnamurra Rain forest. Some of them are already posted in my blogs. Here I post more pictures.

A rainforest is a forest characterized by high annual rainfall, typically receiving over 70 inches (180 centimetres) of rain per year, and is known for its dense, lush vegetation and rich biodiversity.
Rainforests are defined by their consistently high levels of precipitation, which supports the growth of a wide variety of plants and animals.
The abundant rainfall and warm temperatures create an environment where trees and other plants thrive, leading to a dense, often multi-layered canopy.
Rainforests are known for their incredible biodiversity, meaning they are home to a vast array of plant and animal species, many of which are found nowhere else on Earth.
Tropical Rainforests: These are found near the equator in the tropics, characterized by warm temperatures and high humidity.
Rainforests play a crucial role in regulating the Earth’s climate, absorbing carbon dioxide and releasing oxygen, and are vital for maintaining the planet’s biodiversity.
Some of the world’s largest rainforests include the Amazon rainforest in South America and the Congo rainforest in Africa.
Rainforests are forests characterized by a closed and continuous tree canopy, moisture-dependent vegetation, the presence of epiphytes and lianas and the absence of wildfire. Liana is a woody climbing plant that hangs from trees, especially in tropical rainforests.
Epiphyte is a plant that grows on another plant, especially one that is not parasitic, such as the numerous ferns, bromeliads, air plants, and orchids growing on tree trunks in tropical rainforests.
The lianas reminded me of Tarzan and Phantom comics. Tarazon used to jump from one tree to another with the help of giant climbers (lianas).
Walking through the forests gives utter peace. But the cicadas’ noise is unbearable in some places. The smell of the green plants is very pleasant.
Few of us saw the rare lyre birds in the forest. Animals re not seen in daytime. It took three hours for us to complete the trip -up and down. Thank God, there is no monkey problem in the forests!
Because the forests become dark without sunlight no one is allwed after 4 pm.
I carried London Mitraseva bag to many palces giving wide publicity to the charity.
