தமிழ்நாட்டில் பாண்டுரெங்கன் வழிபாடு
மகாராஷ்டிரத்தில் விஷ்ணுவின் வடிவமான பாண்டுரெங்கனை வழிபடாதவர் எவரும் இல்லை.பண்டரீ புரத்தில் பாண்டுரெங்கனை தரிசிப்பதும் அவர் மீது அபங்கங்களை பாடியோர் வசித்த, அல்லது சமாதி ஆன, இடங்களுக்கு யாத்திரை செல்வதும் இன்னிசைக் கச்சேரிகளில் அபங்கம் என்னும் பக்தி கீதங்களை இசைப்பதும் தினசரி வழிபாடாக இருந்து வருகிறது. அந்தப் பாண்டுரெங்கனின் வழிபாடு தமிழ்நாட்டிலும் உண்டு. குறிப்பாக விஜயநகர மற்றும் மஹாராஷ்டிர மன்னர்கள் ஆண்ட காலத்தில் இது நன்றாக வேரூன்றியது.
தமிழ்நாட்டில் தென்னாங்கூரில் ஹரிதாஸ் சுவாமிகள் கட்டிய பாண்டுரங்கன் கோவில் இருக்கிறது இது திருவண்ணாமலை மாவட்டத்தில் உள்ள ஒரு கிராமம். இங்கு பூரி ஜகன்னாதர் கோவிலைப் போல பாண்டுரங்கன் கோயில் வடிவமைக்கப்பட் டு ள்ளது. இங்கு ரகுமாயீ சமேத பாண்டுரங்கனை தரிசிக்கலாம்; நாம சங்கீர்த்தனம் (பக்திப்பாடல்) மூலம் வழிபாடு செய்யப்படுகிறது.

தென் நாட்டு பண்டரிபுரம் என்று சிறப்பிக்கப்படும் விட்டிலாபுரம் பாண்டுரங்க பெருமாள் கோயில் தூத்துக்குடி மாவட்டத்தில் இருக்கிறது சுமார் 500 ஆண்டுகள் வரலாறு உடையது.

கும்பகோணம் அருகே கோவிந்தபுரத்தில் ஸ்ரீவிட்டல் ருக்மணி ஸம்ஸ்தான் கோவில் உள்ளது. சேங்காலிபுரம் நாராயண தீஷிதர் புதல்வர் ராமதீஷீதர். இவரது புத்திரர் ஸ்ரீவிட்டல்தாஸ் மகராஜ். நாடெங்கும் நாமசங்கீர்த்தனத்தை நடத்தி வருபவர்
வடமாநிலத்தில் பண்டரிபுரத்தில் உள்ள ஸ்ரீபாண்டுரங்கனின் கோவிலை போன்று அனைத்து பக்தர்களும் கோவில் கர்ப்பகிரகத்தினுள் சென்று பகவானை தரிசிக்க வேண்டும் என்று இந்தக் கோவிலைக் காட்டியிருக்கிறார் இங்கு பசுக்களுக்கான பெரிய கோசாலை அமைந்துள்ளது.
ஸ்ரீவிட்டல் ருக்மணி பாண்டுரங்கன் கோவில் கும்பாபிஷேகம் ஜூலை 15, 2011 ம் ஆண்டு நடைபெற்றது. அண்மையில் ஒரு பெரிய தேரினையும் உருவாக்கியிருக்கிறார்கள்
விட்டல் மந்திருக்கு எதிராக பெரிய கோ சாலா / பசு மடம் இருக்கிறது. இந்தியாவின் பல்வேறு பகுதிகளிலிருந்து வந்த 1000 பசுக்களை வளர்க்கிறார்கள். அதற்கு நன்கொடை கொடுத்தபோது ரசீதும் கொடுத்தார்கள். கண்ணுக்கு முன்னால் காணும் காட்சிக்கு பணம் கொடுத்து உதவுவது மகிழ்ச்சியும் திருப்தியும்/ மன நிறைவும் தந்தது . இந்தப் பசும்பால் நல்ல இடங்களுக்கு அனுப்பப்படுகிறது

பாண்டுரங்கன் கதை
மகராஷடிரத்தில் உள்ள புகழ்பெற்ற பண்டரிபுரம் /பந்தர்பூர் கோவில் புனேயிலிருந்து 210 கிலோமீட்டர் தூரத்தில் சந்திரபாகா நதிக்கரையில் அமைந்துள்ளது.
நதியின் வடகரையில் விட்டலன் கோவில் உள்ளது. நதியின் தென்கரையில் சங்குபாய் கோவில் உள்ளது.
செங்கல்லின் மீது இவர் நிற்பதால் இடோபா என்ற பெயரையும் பெற்றார். பக்தர்கள் கர்பக்ருஹத்திற்குள் செல்லலாம் . பாத ஸ்பரிச தரிசனம் என்ற ஒரு தரிசனம் இங்கு மட்டும் தான் உண்டு.. ஜானு தேவர் சத்யவதி தம்பதிகளுக்குப் பிறந்த புண்டரீகன் என்னும் பெரும் பக்தன் பெற்றோர்கள் மீது மிகுந்த பக்தியும் மரியாதையும் கொண்டவன்.
புண்டரீகன் தன் பெற்றோர்களுக்குப் பணிவிடை செய்து கொண்டிருந்தான். அவனுக்காக இறைவன் ஒரு செங்கல்லின் மீது இடுப்பில் கைவைத்த பாணியில் நின்றவாறு காத்திருந்தார் தனது பணிவிடையை முடித்துக் கொண்டு வந்த புண்டரீகன் பகவானை தரிசித்துப் போற்றித் தொழுதான். விட்டலன் என்ற நாமத்துடன் அங்கேயே அவர் எழுந்தருளியிருக்க வேண்டும் என்று வேண்டுகோள் விடுத்தான். அதே ரூபத்தில் நாம் இன்றும் தரிசிக்கலாம்.

Pandurangan Worship in Maharashtra and Tamil Nadu
The twenty four well known names of Vishnu repeated by the brahmins in their daily prayer known as sandhyavandana , are represented each by standing figure of god with four hands holding the four symbols sankha/conch, chakra/discus, gadaa/club and padma/lotus in different combinations . we may often find in Vishnu temples images named Trivikrama, Vamana, Padmanabha, Narasimha or Krishna represented as plain standing figures of Vishnu. Four of the above mentioned forms Vaasudeva, Sankarshana, Pradyumna and Aniruddha are sometimes represented by different weapons.
Another form of standing Vishnu is Panduranga or Vitoba. The characteristic feature of the image is that it has two arms which, being bent at the elbow, are placed on its hips; poems in praise of this form of Vishnu are called Abhangs. Abhangs are sung in many concerts.
Panduranaga Ashtaka of Shankaracharya is also popular.
Vithoba is often depicted as a dark young boy, standing arms akimbo on a brick, sometimes accompanied by his consort Rakhumai.
Vithoba Temple, Pandharpur is his main temple. Vithoba legends revolve around his devotee Pundalik who is credited for bringing the deity to Pandharpur, and around Vithoba’s role as a saviour to the poet-saints of the Varkari faith.
The Varkari poet-saints are known for their unique genre of devotional lyric, the abhang, dedicated to Vithoba and composed in Marathi. Other devotional literature dedicated to Vithoba includes the Kannada hymns of the Haridasa and the Marathi versions of the generic aarti songs associated with rituals of offering light to the deity.
The most important festivals of Vithoba are held on Shayani Ekadashi in the month of Ashadha, and Prabodhini Ekadashi in the month of Kartika.

Govinapuram Vittal Rukmini Mandir
Sri Vittaldas Swamikal has built a big Vittal Rukmini temple at Govindapuram near Kumbakonam . Recently a traditional wooden car (chariot) is added. It has a majestic tower with long steps. Devotees are allowed to go very near the idol like Pandaripuram. A large Gosala with cows from different regions of India is also maintained by a trust here.

Sri Panduranga Vittala temple
Vittilapuram is a village in Tamil Nadu, India. It is located on the bank of the Tamirabarani river. It is around 15 kilometres from Tirunelveli junction Sri Panduranga Vittalar temple
Panduranga temple was adorned with Kumbabishekam in 2009. This temple has a rich collection of stone carvings. It has been there for t least 500 years, from the days of Krishnadeva Raya.
