Tirukkural in Tamil with 1330 couplets(Kural) was written by great Tamil poet Tiruvalluvar 1500 years ago. The poets who sung in praise of Tirukkural say it is equal to Vedas. It is very true like the Four Vedas, all that is said by Valluvar is accepted by the Hindus.
When one reads the commentary of Aadi Shankaraa on Vishnu Sahasranama (VS), one would find amazing similarities.
My research in the VS found out the following similarities:
Ksaminaam Varah- Word No. in the VS 919
The greatest among the patient ones, because He is more patient than all Yogis noted for patience; and also because He is most noted among those who patiently bear the weight of the earth and all heavenly bodies.
Vaalmiiki says about Raama ‘ksamayaa Prithvi samah– He is equal to earth in the matter of patience.
Or though He bears all the three worlds, He does not feel their heaviness like the earth. As He is thus superior to the in the quality of patience , He is called the greatest among the patient beings. Or the word Ksamii can mean the strong one. As the Lord is omnipotent and is capable of doing everything He is called by that epithet.

All Hindu scriptures compare Earth with Patience. And Tiru Valluvar is a great Hindu, he also used the simile.
Here is the relevant Kural/Couplet:
Just like the earth which supports the men who dig it
Men of virtue bear with thse who heap scorn on them-Kural 151
அகழ்வாரைத் தாங்கும் நிலம்போலத் தம்மை
இகழ்வார்ப் பொறுத்தல் தலை.- 151
A patient man is compared to the Goddess Earth.
Robert Browning’s line
Good to forgive, best to forgive conveys the same idea.

Bhuumi Suuktam (Hymn to Mother Earth) in the Atharva Veda says,
I call to earth, the purifier
The patient earth growing strong through spiritual might
May we recline on thee O Earth
Who bearest power, plenty, our share of food and molten butter- Suukta 29

Kalidasa (kaalidaasa) also in his Raghuvamsa Kavya says,
स क्षेमधन्वानममोघधन्वा
पुत्रम् प्रजाक्षेमविधानदक्षम्।
क्ष्माम् लम्भयित्वा क्षमयोपपन्नम्
वने तपः क्षान्ततरश्चचार॥ १८-९
sa kṣemadhanvānamamoghadhanvā
putram prajākṣemavidhānadakṣam |
kṣmām lambhayitvā kṣamayopapannam
vane tapaḥ kṣāntataraścacāra || 18-9
sa kShemadhanvAnamamoghadhanvA
putram prajAkShemavidhAnadakSham |
kShmAm lambhayitvA kShamayopapannam
vane tapaH kShAntatarashcacAra || 18-9
That king puNDarIka whose bow was never ineffectual made his son kshema-dhanva, who was fully endowed with forgiveness and was ever on the alert about the welfare of the subjects accept the sovereignty of the earth; and being himself capable of great endurance puNDarIka undertook ascesis after retiring into the forest. [18-9]
Here earth is used for patience.
18-9. amogha-dhanvA saH= of unfailing bow, he that king puNDarIka; prajA kShema vidhAna dakSham= one who is ever on the alert about the welfare of the subjects; kShamayA upapannam= one who is endowed with forgiveness; kShema-dhanvAnam putram= kShema-dhanva named, son; kShmAm lambhayitvA= earth – kingdom, causing to take care of it; kShAm tataraH = being himself capable of great endurance; vane tapaH cacAra= in forest, ascesis, he undertook.
We find such comparisons throughout Sanskrit and Tamil literature.
