Manikkavasagar, author of Tiruvasagam

In the first part of this article, we saw that the Tiru Vilaiyadal Puranam (T V P) is a history book. It gives us the history of Madurai and the 64 miracles of Lord Shiva in and around Madurai in Tamil Nadu. According to Mahabharata, Pandya is the oldest Tamil race.  Arjuna’s marriage with Ulupi and Chitrangada is described in the various Parvas of Mahabharata. All these names proved historical when the Alupas of Karnataka used the names in their records.

Like Zoroaster left Gujarat in the Rig Vedic period and migrated to Iran, a section of the Pandyas left Tamil Nadu and migrated to Karnataka and other parts of North India. Thank God, we have historical, epigraphical records in the Alupa Kingdom. They used names like Kulasekara, Dhanajaya, Chitravahana in their records. This is a clear proof to show that the names of Pandyas found in Hindu religious books are not fictional.

Even Chozas used Kulothunga which is used for Pandyas. In the twelfth century, we see again Sundara Pandya, Vira Pandya etc.

I am referring all these names to show that the names in TVP are real Pattabishea/Coronation Names of Pandyas.

In Egypt and Hindu India, there was a belief that the real names of Kings should not be disclosed in public So they had Coronation Names (Pattabisheeka names).

Varaguna Mystery

We have three Varaguna Pandyans in Tamil Nadu according to the available records. But there was one more Varaguna earlier than these three Pandyas who fooled many scholars. Those scholars placed the famous saint Manikka Vasagar (M) (maanikka vaasagar, tiru vilaiyaadal puraanam) in the Ninth Century CE. They ignored the Tevaram songs of Appar and Sambandar and did this ignorantly.

The two T V Ps written by P P Nambi and Paramjoti place the story of Varaguna well before M and Sambandar. We know for sure that Sambandar and Appar were contemporaries of the greatest of the Pallava Kings, Mahendra Varman (600 CE).

Even if someone doubts the chronology of Pandyas in the two TVPs, they can’t ignore the Tevaram Verses sung by Appar and Sambandar.  In the TVP, King Varaguna was associated with the story of Shiva giving a poet a recommendation letter to a Cera (Kerala) king. The recommendation letter is called Tirumukam in Tamil. Sambandar has referred to it. And we already saw the two TVP anecdotes of Fox changing to Horses vice versa and Lord Shiva carrying sand to strengthen the banks of River Vaigai are sung by Appar and Sambandar (600 CE). So, the Varaguna episode must also be placed before ninth century. Varaguna is just an euphoric title. It can be given to any good king who is a Shiva Bhakta as well. In Egypt we see at least 14 Ramesses as kings. Why not four Varagunas in Tamil Nadu?

Paramjoti gives us the story in Chronological order. Moreover, he says seven kings were there and go to the next epiode. And then he gives names of 15 kings, then narrated another miracle. So, he skipped many because there was no miracle reported in that period. And he placed Sambandar story after a gap of 15 kings. So, there should be at leat 300 year gap between the M and Sambandar. Varaguna- Recommendation Letter anecdote goes still far behind. And we must also remember that al the 64 episodes found in the TVP happened before ninth century.

Now let us look at the order of kings:

After Anantha Guna Bhushanan (who clashed with Jain king Kharavela) Kula Bhusana ruled; brahmins migrated to other countries because of famine.

Next came Rajasekhara who divided the kingdom and gave half of it to his brother.

Then Paranjothi skips six kings; That means at least 120 years elapsed.

Then the Varaguna and the story of Shiva’s recommendation letter comes. After dealing with three more kings, he gave us the names of 22 kings and then only he relates Aalavay/ snake city story. It is reported as Uragapura/Snake town in Raghuvasa of Kalidasa.

Then only comes the poor brahmin poet Dharumi’s clash with Sangam brahmin poet Nakkiran. This is referred to by Appar in 600 CE.

Therefore all the above anecdotes may be dated pre 600 CE. Sambandar and Appar Tevaram verse  also confirmed it.

Then again 15 kings skipped and M anecdotes are narrated.

After skipping 12 more kings, he comes to the anecdotes regarding Sambandar clash with the Jains. If we believe in these stories,  then we must conclude that the anecdotes have had happened before 600 CE.

One Varaguna is praised as a great devotee of Vishnu. We have a great Vaishnavite shrine which is named Varaguna Mangai.

MY DISCOVERY

GNANA SAMBANDAR AND APPAR MENTIONED SHIVA’S RECOMMENDATION LETTER TO CERA KING GIVEN TO THE SINGER BABABHATTAR; THEREFORE, VARAGUNA MENTIONED IS THE FIRST VARAGUNA; MAY BE VAISHNAVA VARAGUMA MENTIONED ELSEWHERE.

SEKKIZAR SANG ABOUT THE GLORIOUS HIGH MADURAI TEMPLE TOWERS; THEREFORE 12^TH CENTURY TOWER MENTIONED IN MADURAI INSCRIPTION IS THE LATER ONE; OTHER TOWERS WERE DESTROYED BY MUSLIM INVADERS.

ALL THE THREE NAMES OF MADURAI , I.E. MADURAI, KOODAL AND AALAVAAY / URGAPURAM ARE IN SANGAM LITERATURE; THEREFORE TVP ANECDOTES ARE VERY ANCIENT.

VELLIAMPALAM, I.E. THE SILVER HALL OF MADURAI IS MENTIONED IN SILAPPADIKARAM AND PURA NANURU; THAT SHOWS T V P ANECDOTE IS VERY ANCIENT.

FINALLY

MANIKKAVASAGAR (M)  IS EARLIER TO SAMBANDAR AND APPAR, IF THEIR TEVARM POEMS ARE TRUE

VARAGUNAN IS VERY ANCINET TITLE AND NOTHING TO DO WITH THE LATER SHIVA DEVOTEE VARAGUNAN.

25) பாரதத்துடன் காஷ்மீரை ஓரங்கமாக ஆக்கும் முயற்சியில் நேருவின் அணுகுமுறை  முற்றிலும் தவறாக இருந்தது. சர்தார் படேலை காஷ்மீர் பிரச்சனையைத் தீர்க்க அவர் அனுமதிக்கவில்லை. மற்ற எல்லா பிரச்சனைகளுக்குரிய பகுதிகளை சர்தார் படேல் வெற்றிகரமாகத் தீர்த்தார் – ஹைதராபாத் நிஜாம் பிரச்சனையைத் தீர்த்தது போல! 

26) 1948ல் நடந்த இந்திய-பாகிஸ்தான் யுத்தத்தில் இந்தியா ஆக்கிரமிப்பாளர்களிடமிருந்து காஷ்மீரைத் திரும்பிப் பெற்றது.

 Bharatiya Sant Maha SammelanamSri Kanchi Kamakoti Peetadhipati Pujya Shri Shankara Vijayendra Saraswathi Shankaracharya Swamigal today graced the Bharatiya Sant Maha Sammelanam held in Bangalore. The Sanskrit version of Sankalpam of the Sammelanam was read out by His Holiness. Speaking on the occasion His Holiness appreciated the efforts of Sri Swayamprakasha Sachidananda Saraswathi & Sri Jayendra Puri for their efforts in organising the conference. His Holiness said that the conference has commenced with a CMP- Common Minimum Prog and it has to blossom into a CMP Common Maximum Programme in the future. His Holiness said that concentrated efforts as envisaged in the Sammelan will make our country a ‘Vishwa Guru’ ensuring peace & harmony in the world. நெடுஞ்செழியன்= அபிஷேக பாண்டியன்

I have been doing research in Tiruvilaiyadal Puranam (TVP) from 1994 and written copious notes in papers which I preserve until this day. After reading the book Madurai by Dr Devakunjari, and Madurai Temple Complex by A V Jeyachandrun, I have come to some conclusions. From 1963, I have collected all the Madurai Meenakshi temple Kumbabisheka Souvenirs also. They give us valuable information regarding Madurai temple and the 64 Divine sports of Lord Shiva in and around Madurai .

For my research I used the Tiruvilaiyadal Puranam written by Paranjoti Munivar about 300 years ago.

What is a Divine Sport?

In Sanskrit it is called Leela and in Tamil it is called Thiru Vilaiyaadal. Ordinary Vilaiyaadal is just sport. It is used even in Tamil Weddings. When you add Thiru (Sri) it signifies a Divine Sport.

The Divine Sport mentioned here is about the 64 MIRACLES done by Lord Shiva to save His devotees. Strangely, even boars, pigs, heron and Black bird are among the devotees.  But we have such divine birds and divine animals throughout India. To mention a few, cows, bulls, elephants, snakes and monkeys are worshipped throughout India. The very name of Madurai ‘Aalavay’  (UROS in Greek) came from a snake that went around Madurai to show its boundaries. Kalidas, the greatest poet of India, mentioned Madurai Kings Pandyas and Agastya together and named Madurai as Uragapuram (Snake city; Greeks got it from Sanskrit and coined the word Uros.)

All the Sixty Four Leelaas happened before 1000 CE

Where is the proof? Sekkizaar, author of Periya Puranam, mentioned Murthy Nayanar , the Pandya king who was elected by an elephant. In those days a blind folded elephant was sent around the capital city to select someone as the king if there is no legal heir or a controversy about who should rule. This happened in the case of another king called Karikal Choza too.

Because Tamil saint Sundarar mentioned him (Murthy) ,  Sekkizar included him in his history of 63 Tamil saints in Periya Puranam. This Murthy Nayanar figures in another older TVP written by Perumpatrap Puliyur Nambi. Both the TVPs are translations from original Sanskrit books. This PP Nambi lived 400 years before Paranjoti.

So, we can conclude all the stories including Murthy Nayanar, the business man who was crowned as the king of Pandya country by an elephant, happened before ninth  century CE.

Now let us look at another book called Kallaadam. This book of ninth century CE mentioned 32 TVP leelaas (divine sports) ; and above all, 21 leelas are mentioned by the great Tamil saints Tirugnana Sambandar and Tiru Navukkarasar (also known as Appar) contemporaries of Mahendra Pallavan ( 600 CE)

If we know the kings associated with these 21 Leelas, then we can be sure of the period. Only Paranjoti Munivar gives the names of the Pandya kings in chronological order. but both Paranjoti and PP Nambi placed Sambandar- Pandya king story after Manikkavasagar story.

This is the first proof to establish the age of Manikkavasagar (hereafterwards M). This is not the only proof. Appar mentioned also the famous Fox turning into Horses vice versa associated with M.  There is one more proof . Lord Shiva carried sand on his head to strengthen the banks of flooded River Vaigai in Madurai. It is called Man (sand) Sumantha (carrying) leela. This is also mentioned by both Sambandar and Appar. Now we can boldly say that M lived before these two great saints of Mahendra Pallavan time.

So now we know that both Nambi and Param put the story of M aster Sambandar (600 CE) and both Sambandar and Appar also put M before them. This is a very clear proof to show that M lived before them.

Now that we know the chronology of two Pandyas, i.e the Pandya king of M period and the Pandya king of Sambandar- Appar period, we can find out others’ age.

Pandyas or their capital or their pearl treasure are mentioned in Ramayana, Mahabharata, Arthasastra, Kharavela inscription, Mahavamsa, Sangam Tamil literature, Vietnam/Champa Inscription, and later copper plates.

There are foreign notes from Megasthenes,  Pliny, Ptolemy and Strabo.

From Mahavamsa book, we know the earliest Pandya. A Pandya was ruling Madurai, when the banished Kalinga king Vijaya landed in Sri Lanka. He married a Pandya princess, and the ministers and officials also married women of Pandya Kingdom. Because it happened in sixth century BCE, it must be the first Then/South Madurai which was devoured by the sea in a Tsunami attack.

Later the Pandyas moved their capital to Korkai, may be Kapatapuram, in Sanskrit. This is mentioned in Ramayana and Arthasastra. When someone copied Valmiki Ramayana, he mentioned it as Kapatapura, we may guess. This city also disappeared in another Tsunami wave attack. This is in two Tamil books Kalittokai and Silappadikaram.

Archaeological evidence

King Asoka of third century BCE mentioned Cera, Choza, Pandya kings and Satyaputras of Tamil country in his inscription.

Later Kharavela inscription of Hathikumpha (Odisah) (second century BCE) mentioned that he defeated the Pandya king and got rubies and pearls as tributes.

This is a very important inscription. Khara vela was a just king who followed Jain religion. This shows that Jains started coming to Madurai from second century BCE. Another evidence comes from Akananuru, a Sangam period Tamil book, which says the Mauryans came  to the south via mountains after levelling the ground. We know that the great Chandra Gupta Maurya became a Jain and left his body in Karnataka in third century BCE. This also shows the Kalabhra Jains came to Tamil Nadu via the mountains of Western Ghats.

These two Jain invasions are important because Sambandar , Murthy Nayanar and Manikkavasagar clashed with Pandya kings who followed Jain religion. Appar clashed with Mahendra Pallavan who followed Jain religion.

Now we get a picture of Tamil Nadu immediately after Sangam age. Scholars dated the Sangam Age as the first three centuries of modern era CE.  Sangam literature has more Hindu Gods and Hindu Yagas and Yajnas and so I would even date it from Second Century BCE. We have archaeological proofs. In and around Madurai, more Brahmi inscriptions are found than any other part of Tamil Nadu. They are found in caves where Jains were staying. There is even the mention of Nedunchezian, the Pandya King. But we know more than one Nedunchezian.

I believe that Abhisheka Pandya was the King Nedunchezian, who was crowned as a boy. TVP and Sangam literature mentioned him as the Boy King, Tutankhamun of India.

Wont it clash with Meenakshi , the Pandya ruler of Madurai, mentioned as Pandaiya queen by Megasthenes, the Greek historian and diplomat (350- 290 BCE) ?

Yes ,it is a problem unless we place this Nedunchezian nearer that date, because Goddess queen Meenakshi’s great grandson was this Abhisheka Pandya.

So the dates according to me are

Goddess Queen Meenakshi — 300 BCE

Her son Ukra Kumaran – 250 BCE

Veera Pandyan, killed by a tiger in the forest –225 BCE

His son the Boy King Abhisheka Pandya alias King Nedunchezian –225 BCE to 200 BCE

His son Vikrama Pandyan – 200 BCE

His son Rajasekaharan – 150 BCE

This is the order given by Paranjothi in TVP

Here he adds one more interesting and important information. Rajasekhara Pandya ruled at the time of Karikal Choza.

Other sources also confirms that Karikal Choza ruled around 150 BCE

So, I have enough proof for my dating.

Silappadikaram, dated by scholars 150 CE, mentioned two TVP anecdotes. One is Velliambalam (Silver Hall of Lord Nataraja) in Madurai in contrast to Pon Ambalam, Golden Hall of Chidambaram. The other anecdote is A Vanni Tree, a well (in animate objects!!) came as witnesses to save a Shiva devotee. If we believe in the dates of Tamil epic Silappadikaram , we must say that al the anecdotes in Paranjoti’s TVP happened before Second Century CE. But I am not going to support that statement. Because Paranjoti who put that Witness episode as the 64^th Leela of TVP and said that there were 75 kings in between.

இந்துக்களிடையே அதிகம் புகழ் பெற்ற புரி ரத யாத்திரை ஜூன் 27- ஆம் தேதி துவங்கி அடுத்த ஜூலை மாதம் ஐந்தாம் தேதி நிறைவு பெறும் .

புரி ரத யாத்திரை என்பது இந்தியாவின், ஒடிசா மாநிலத்தின் புரி கடற்கரை நகரத்தில் ஜெகன்நாதர் கோயிலில் குடி கொண்டுள்ள ஜெகன்நாதர், பலபத்திரர், சுபத்திரை ஆகியோர் ஆண்டு தோறும், தனித்தனியாக மூன்று இரதங்களில் ஏறி, புரி நகரத்தை வலம் வந்து பக்தர்களுக்கு காட்சி அளிப்பதைக் குறிக்கும்..

முக்கிய தேர்கள் புறப்படுவதற்கு முன்னர் வரும் ஜேஷ்ட பௌர்ணமி யன்று ஸ்நான யாத்திரை நடைபெறும். அதாவது கற்பக கிரகத்திலிருந்து மூன்று தெய்வங்களையும் கோவில் வளாகத்திலுள்ள மேடையில் வைத்து 108 புனித நீர் நிலைகளிலிருந்து கொண்டுவரப்பட்ட புனித நீர் கொண்டு அபிஷேகம் செய்வார்கள் . இது  ஜூன் 11- ஆம் தேதி நடந்தது.

ஸ்நான  யாத்திரை நடந்த பின்னர் இரண்டு வாரங்களுக்கு சிலைகளை தனிமையில் வைப்பார்கள் யாரும் தரிசனம் செய்ய முடியாது பின்னர் வெளியே கொண்டு வாந்து ரதங்களில் வைப்பார்கள்

ஸ்னான யாத்திரையைக் காண்பதற்காக லட்சக் கணக்கணபக்த்ர்கள் புரி நகரத்தில் குவிந்தனர்.

ராமர் கோயிலுக்கு படையெடுத்த பக்தர்கள்!

வைகாசி மாத பௌர்ணமியையொட்டி உத்தரப்பிரதேச மாநிலம், அயோத்தில் உள்ள ராமர் கோயிலில் பக்தர்களின் கூட்டம் அதிகரித்துக் காணப்பட்டது.

ஜூன் மாதத்தில் வரும் பௌர்ணமியை வடமாநிலத்தவர் ஜேஷ்ட பௌர்ணமி என அழைப்பார்கள். அந்த வகையில், ஜேஷ்ட பௌர்ணமியையொட்டி அயோத்தில் உள்ள ராமர் கோயிலில் அதிகாலை முதல் சிறப்புப் பூஜைகள் நடைபெற்றன.

ஜேஷ்ட பௌர்ணமி தரிசனத்திற்காக ஏராளமான பக்தர்கள் அயோத்தி கோயிலுக்கு வந்து சென்றனர்.

ராமர் பாதையில் மதுக்கடைகள்: பாரதீய ஜனதாக் கட்சி அரசுக்கு காங்கிராஸ் கட்சி  கண்டனம்

அயோத்தி ராமர் கோவிலுக்கு செல்லும் வழியான ராமர் பாதையில் மதுபானக் கடைகளை திறக்க அனுமதி அளித்த உத்தர பிரதேச அரசுக்கு காங்கிரஸ் கட்சி கண்டனம் தெரிவித்துள்ளது.

உத்தர பிரதேசத்தில், முதல்வர் யோகி ஆதித்யநாத் தலைமையில் பாரதீய ஜனதாக் கட்சி ஆட்சி நடக்கிறது. இங்குள்ள அயோத்தியில், வரலாற்று சிறப்புமிக்க பால ராமர் கோவில் கடந்த ஆண்டு திறக்கப்பட்டது. இதையடுத்து, அயோத்தியை உலகளாவிய ஆன்மிக சுற்றுலா தலமாக மாற்றுவதற்கு முதல்வர் யோகி ஆதித்யநாத் பல்வேறு முயற்சிகளை மேற்கொண்டு வருகிறார்.

அதன் ஒரு பகுதியாக அயோத்தி வரும் பக்தர்கள், சுற்றுலா பயணியர் ராமரின் வாழ்க்கை வரலாற்றை எளிதில் புரிந்துகொள்ளும் வகையில், 13 கிலோமீட்டர் தொலைவுக்கு ராமர் பாதை அமைக்கப்பட்டுள்ளது.

ராமர் கோவில் அமைந்துள்ள ராம ஜென்மபூமியைச் சுற்றியுள்ள பகுதிகளில் மது விற்பனைக்கு தடை விதிக்கப்பட்டுள்ளது. ஆனால், ராமர் பாதையிலேயே மதுக்கடைகள் செயல்படுவதாக, உத்தர பிரதேச காங்., தலைவர் அஜய் ராய் குற்றம்சாட்டியுள்ளார்.

பணம் சம்பாதிப்பதற்காக அயோத்தியில் மதுபானக் கடைகள் திறக்கப்பட்டுள்ளதாகக் கூறிய அவர், இது அயோத்திக்கு ஒரு அவமானம் என்றும் கண்டனம் தெரிவித்தார்.

ராமரின் புனித நகரத்தில் மதுபானக் கடைகளை திறக்க அரசு எப்படி அனுமதித்தது?  ராமர் பாதைக்கு அருகிலுள்ள மதுபானக் கடைகளுக்கு எப்போது உரிமங்கள் வழங்கப்பட்டன? இந்தக் கடைகள் அரசு அதிகாரிகளிடமிருந்து எவ்வாறு அனுமதி பெற்றன? உரிமங்களை வழங்கிய அதிகாரிகள் மீது நடவடிக்கை எடுக்கப்படுமா? ஆம் எனில், எப்போது? என்று அடுக்கடுக்கான கேள்விகளையும் உ.பி., அரசுக்கு அஜய் ராய் எழுப்பி உள்ளார்.

அமர்நாத் யாத்திரை.. பனி லிங்கத்திற்கு பிரதான பூஜை செய்த கவர்னர்

ஜம்மு காஷ்மீரில் உள்ள அமர்நாத் குகையில் இயற்கையாக உருவாகும் பனி லிங்கத்தை தரிசனம் செய்வதற்காக லட்சக்கணக்கான பக்தர்கள் புனித யாத்திரை மேற்கொள்வார்கள்.

இந்த ஆண்டுக்கான அமர்நாத் யாத்திரை ஜூலை 3-ஆம் தேதி துவங்கி வரும் ஆகஸ்ட் 9 வரை 38 நாட்கள் நடைபெறும் என அறிவிக்கப்பட்டுள்ளது. அமர்நாத் குகையில் உருவான பனி லிங்கத்துக்கு இன்று பிரதான பூஜை செய்யப்பட்டது. சம்பிரதாயப்படி அமர்நாத் யாத்திரை தொடங்கியதை குறிக்கும் இந்த நிகழ்வில், ஜம்மு காஷ்மீர் துணைநிலை கவர்னர் மனோஜ் சின்கா பங்கேற்று பூஜை செய்து பனி லிங்கத்தை வழிபட்டார்.

கவர்னர் தனது எக்ஸ் தளத்தில் பதிவிட்டுள்ளார். அதில், “பாபா அமர்நாத் (சிவபெருமான்) நம் அனைவருக்கும் அருள் மழையை பொழிவாராக” என கூறி உள்ளார்.

முன்னதாக, விஸ்வ இந்து பரிஷத் சார்பில் அமர்நாத் யாத்திரைக்கான முதல் பூஜை தாவி ஆற்றங்கரையில் நடைபெற்றது.

இனி தமிழ் நாட்டுச் செய்திகள்

மதுரையில் ஜூன் 22 ஆம் தேதி முருக பக்தர்கள் மாநாடு

ஜூன் 22 ஆம் தேதி ஞாயிற்றுக்கிழமை மதுரையில்  பிரம்மாண்டமாக முருகன் பக்தர்கள் மாநாடு நடைபெற உள்ளது.

முருக பக்தியை உலகம் முழுவதும் கொண்டு செல்லும் நோக்கோடு முருகன் மாநாடு நடத்தப்பட்டு வருகிறது. பழனியை தொடர்ந்து தற்போது மதுரையில் முருகன் பக்தர்கள் மாநாடு நடைபெற உள்ளது. ஜூன் 22ம் தேதி ஞாயிற்றுக்கிழமை பகல் பகல் 3 மணி துவங்கி, இரவு 8 மணி வரை மதுரை பாண்டி கோவில் அருகில் உள்ள அம்மா திடலில் இந்த பிரம்மாண்ட ஆன்மிக மாநாடு நடத்த ஏற்பாடுகள் செய்யப்பட்டு வருகிறது. மாநாட்டு திடலில் ஜூன் 10ம் தேதி முதல் அறுபடை முருகன் கோவில் கண்காட்சி நடத்தவும் ஏற்பாடு செய்யப்பட்டுள்ளது. அதோடு அறுபடை முருகனின் கோவில்களில் வைத்து வழிபாடு செய்யப்பட்ட வேல், பக்தர்களின் தரிசனத்திற்காக கண்காட்சியில் வைக்கப்பட உள்ளது. 

இந்த மாநாட்டில் பல பிரபலங்கள் கலந்து கொள்ள உள்ளனர். சிறப்பு அம்சமாக கந்த சஷ்டி கவசத்தை லட்சக்கணக்கான பக்தர்கள் ஒருமித்த குரலில் பாராயணம் செய்ய உள்ளனர். பிரபலமானவர்களின் ஆன்மிக உரைகள், கலை நிகழ்ச்சிகள், தமிழ் நாட்டிற்கே உரிய நாட்டுப்புற கலைகளில் நிகழ்ச்சிகள் ஆகியவற்றிற்கும் ஏற்பாடு செய்யப்பட்டுள்ளது.

மாநாட்டில் கலந்து கொள்ள வரும் பக்தர்களின் வசதிக்காக அடிப்படை வசதிகள், வாகனம் நிறுத்தும் இடங்கள் ஆகியவை ஏற்பாடு செய்யப்பட்டுள்ளன. பக்தர்கள் எங்கு இருந்தும் நிகழ்ச்சிகளை கண்டு களிக்கும் வகையில் மாநாட்டு திடலை சுற்றிலுமே் எல்இடி L E D  திரைகள் அமைக்கப்பட உள்ளன. மாநாட்டு வளாகத்தில் ஆன்மிக மற்றும் இந்து விழிப்புணர்வு நூல்கள் விற்பனைக்கு வைக்கப்பட உள்ளன.

முருக பக்தர்கள் மாநாடு இந்துக்களை ஒற்றுமைப்படுத்துவதற்கும், உரிமையைப் பெறுவதற்குமான மாநாடு என,  இந்து முன்னணி மாநில தலைவர் காடேஸ்வரா சுப்பிரமணியம் தெரிவித்துள்ளார்.

இதுதொடர்பாக மதுரை மாவட்டம் வண்டியூரில் அவர் அளித்த பேட்டியில்,

திருமாவளவன் மற்றும் திமுக தலைவர்கள் இந்துக்களைப் பற்றி இழிவாகப் பேசி வருகின்றனர் என்றும் திமுகவினர், தடுக்க தடுக்கத் தான் முருக பக்தர்கள் மாநாடு மிகச் சிறப்பாக நடைபெறும் என்றும் காடேஸ்வரா சுப்பிரமணியம் குறிப்பிட்டார்.

முருக பக்தர்கள் மாநாடு நடக்கக்கூடாது என்பதற்காக, பொய் வழக்குகளைப் பதிவு செய்கின்றனர் என்று கூறியவர், கடவுள் நம்பிக்கை உள்ளவர்கள் முருக பக்தர்கள் மாநாட்டில் கலந்து கொள்ளலாம்  என்று காடேஸ்வரா சுப்பிரமணியம் கூறினார்.

மதுரை திருப்பரங்குன்றம் மலை மீது உள்ள சிக்கந்தர் தர்காவில், சில மாதங்களுக்கு முன்னர் ஆடு, கோழி உள்ளிட்டவற்றைப் பலியிட முயன்ற சம்பவம் சர்ச்சையை ஏற்படுத்தியது.

இதனைக் கண்டித்துக் கடந்த பிப்ரவரி 4-ம் தேதி இந்து அமைப்புகள் சார்பில் மிகப்பெரிய ஆர்ப்பாட்டம் நடந்தது. அதனைத் தொடர்ந்து வரும் 22-ம் தேதி மதுரையில் முருக பக்தர்கள் மாநாடு நடத்தப் போவதாக இந்து முன்னணி அறிவித்தது.

தற்போது நீதிமன்றத்தின் அனுமதியைத் தொடர்ந்து, மாநாட்டுத் திடலில் அறுபடை வீடுகளின் முகப்பு தோற்றம் கொண்ட மாதிரிகள் அமைக்கும் பணிகள் நடைபெறுகிறது. இதனை இந்து முன்னணி தலைவர் காடேஸ்வரா சுப்பிரமணியம் மேற்பார்வையிட்டு ஆ அறுபடை வீடுகளில் இருந்து பக்தர்கள் கொண்டு வந்த ஆறு வேல்களும்   மாநாட்டில்  உள்ள ஆறுபடை வீடு அருட்காட்சியில் பக்தர்களின் தரிசனத்திற்காக வைக்கப்பட உள்ளது.லோசனைகளை வழங்கினார்.

கோவில்களில் இறந்த தலைவர்களுக்கு கொண்டாட்டமா?  பொன். மாணிக்கவேல் கண்டனம்

ஓய்வு பெற்ற போலீஸ் அதிகாரி பொன். மாணிக்கவேல் அளித்த பேட்டி: தமிழகத்தின் பிரதானமாக இருக்கும் ஆயிரக்கணக்கான ஹிந்து கோவில்களில், இறந்த அரசியல் கட்சித் தலைவர்களின் பிறந்த நாள், ஆண்டுதோறும் கொண்டாடப்படுகிறது. மற்ற மதத்தினர், தங்கள் மதம் சார்ந்த ஆலயங்களில், இதுபோன்று கொண்டாட அனுமதிப்பதில்லை. குறிப்பிட்ட அந்நாளில், கோவில் வங்கி கணக்கிலிருந்து கோடிக்கணக்கான பணத்தை எடுத்து சிறப்பு பூஜை, மதிய விருந்து கொடுக்கின்றனர். இதனால், கோவில்கள் புனித தன்மை கெடுகிறது. கோவிலை கட்சி தலைமையிடமாக மாற்ற ஹிந்துக்கள் விடக்கூடாது.

தமிழகத்தில் உள்ள, ஆறு கோடி ஹிந்துக்களும் ஒன்று சேர்ந்து, ஒரே ஒரு நாள், ஒரு மணி நேரம், ஒவ்வொரு மாவட்டத்திலும் உள்ள ஒரே கோவிலில் கூட வேண்டும். பின், பத்து நிமிடம், கோவில்களில் இறந்த அரசியல் தலைவர்கள் பிறந்த நாளை கொண்டாடக்கூடாது என, பிரார்த்தனை செய்ய வேண்டும். தொடர்ச்சியாக, அரசின் இந்த முயற்சியை கைவிட வலியுறுத்த வேண்டும்.இப்படி செய்வதற்கான நாள், நேரம் விரைவில் அறிவிக்கப்படும். இந்த விஷயத்தில், அனைத்து ஹிந்து அமைப்புகளும் ஒன்றிணைந்து செயல்பட வேண்டும். இவ்வாறு, பொன். மாணிக்கவேல் கூறினார்.

லண்டனிலிருந்து ஒரு செய்தி.

லண்டனின் புறநகர்ப்பகுதியான SLOUGH  ஸ்லவ் என்னும் இடத்திலுள்ள ஹிந்து மந்திரில் அடுத்த வாரம் லக்ஷ மோதக  மஹா யக்ஞம் நடைபெறப்போகிறது வெள்ளி, சனி ஞாயிற்றுக்கிழமைகளில், அதாவது ஜூன் 20, 21, 22 தேதிகளில், மூன்று நாடகளுக்கு இந்த வைபவம் நடைபெறுகிறது.

மூன்று நாள் வைபவத்தில் மஹாகணபதி யக்ஞம், லக்ஷ மோதக ஹோமம், அஷ்டோத்தர சத பிராமண போஜனம், நவாவர்ண பூஜா, சண்டி ஹோமம் ஆகியன நடைபெறும் என்று யுனைடெட் கிங்டம் ஸ்ரீ சத்ய சண்டி  மண்டலி அறிவித்துள்ளது;  குருஜி ஸ்ரீ அவினாஷ் கணேசன் தலைமையில் நிறைய பக்தர்கள் இந்த நிகழ்ச்சி ஏற்பாடுகளில் பங்கு கொண்டுள்ளனர். காலை ஏழு மணி முதல் மாலை எட்டு மணி வரை இரண்டு நாட்களுக்கு நடைபெரும் நிகழ்ச்சி கள், ஞாயிற்றுக் கிழமை நண்பகலில் நிறைவடையும். பக்தர்களுக்கு பூஜை முடிவில் மஹா பிரசாதமும் வழங்கப்படும். இது நடைபெறும் ஸ்லவ் ஹிந்து மந்திர்,  கீல் ட்ரைவ் என்னும் சாலையில் உள்ளது.
