During my visit to India in March- April 2024, I had a busy Wedding schedule. I attended one wedding in Chennai and celebrated another wedding in Kovalam beach near Thiruvananthapuram in Kerala.

Though I was not supposed to enter temples before December 2024, I made it a point to take pictures from outside without entering the temple. This way I covered the Richest Temple in the world of Sri Ananthapadmanabha Swami in Thiruvananthapuram, Azhimala Shiva Temple, Chenkal Shivalinga on 31st March and 5^th April, 2024. Car driver gave us a bonus by taking us to Light House in Vizinjam. Adani is developing the port to beat Singapore Harbour.

(Since I have written about all these temples in my TAMIL book 108 Famous Temples in Kerala, I give the details only in English)

Tallest Shivalinga Near Trivandrum (Thiru Anantha Puram)

It is very near Thiruvananthapuram city.

Kerala now has one of  the tallest Shiva lingams in the country after the India Book of Records certified the 111.2-feet structure of Maheshwaram Sri Shiva Parvathy Temple at Chenkal in Thiruvananthapuram district.

The cylindrical structure has eight floors, six of which represent chakras or energy centres of the human body. Temple authorities are now hoping the shiva lingam will enter the Limca and Guinness Book of Records.

Pilgrims would be able to see a ‘kailasam’, a replica of Himalayas, and idols of Shiva and Parvati from the top of the shiva lingam. The pathway is adorned with murals and statues with 108 shiva lingams on the base floor.

It is the only temple in the world, where devotees can worship 12 Jyothirlingam of Lord Shiva and 32 forms of Lord Ganesha at one place.

Aazhimala Shiva Temple

The Aazhimala Shiva Temple is a Hindu temple located on the coast of the Arabian Sea near Vizhinjam in the Thiruvananthapuram district of Kerala, India. Dedicated to Shiva, the temple is known for the 18 m tall Gangadhareshwara sculpture, which is the tallest Shiva sculpture in Kerala

The temple is dedicated to Lord Shiva and is believed to have mythological connections with the Pandavas. According to local beliefs, this was the place where the Pandavas, the five brothers from the Indian epic Mahabharata, spent some time during their exile.

 According to folklore, when Panchali was thirsty, Bheema created a freshwater stream by making a hole in a rock with his knees to quench her thirst.

The massive structure with Shiva’s hair flowing in the wind and holding Goddess Ganga has a charm of its own and lends a magnificent appeal to the temple. The sculpture was created by a 29-year-old artist P. S. Devadathan who is a native of Azhimala.

The sculpture of Lord Shiva in the Gangadhareshwara figure, with his hair flying in the wind and holding Goddess Ganga, in the Azhimala Siva Temple in the district of Thiruvananthapuram is a sight to behold.

The temple is noted for its 58-ft-tall statue of Lord Shiva in the Gangadhareswara form, all made in concrete. Construction of the sculpture started on 2 April 2014 and was completed and opened to the public on 31 December 2020

Vizhinjam Lighthouse (Kovalam Lighthouse)

Vizhinjam Lighthouse or Trivandrum Lighthouse is situated near Kovalam beach in Kerala. It started functioning on 30 June 1972. Vizhinjam was a busy seaport in the eighteenth and nineteenth centuries. Before the current light was installed, there were no lighthouses at this location.

உலகம் முழுதும் பாம்புக் கடியால் இறக்கும் மனிதர்கள் பல்லாயிரம் பேர் என்றாலும் இந்தியாவில்தான் அதிகம் பேர் பாம்புக்கு கடி விஷத்தால் இறக்கின்றனர். ஆண்டு தோறும் 11,000 பேர் இறப்பதாக புள்ளி விவரங்கள் தெரிவிக்கின்றன.ஆனால் கடிபடும் மனிதர்கள் எண்ணிக்கை 81,000; அத்தனை பேரும் இறப்பதில்லை; ஏனெனில் பெரும்பாலோர் விஷமில்லாத பாம்புகளால்தான் கடிக்கப் படுகின்றனர். ஆயுர்வேதமும் சித்த மருத்துவமும் , பாம்புக் கடியை முக்கியமாக எடுத்துக்கொண்டு பல சிகிச்சை முறைகளை எழுதியுள்ளன . சரக சம்ஹிதை என்னும் சம்ஸ்க்ருத நூலில்தான் அதிக விஷயங்கள் கிடைக்கின்றன. சரகர் 24 சிகிச்சை முறைகளைக் கூறுகிறார்

பாம்புக்கடி சிகிச்சை முறைகளைக் கூறும் ஏனைய நூல்கள் -சுஸ்ருத சம்ஹிதை, அஷ்டாங்க சம்கிரக , அஷ்டாங்க ஹ்ருதய . 

வாக் பட்டர் எழுதிய அஷ்டாங்க சம்க்ரஹ நூலில் பாம்புகளை திவ்ய, பெளம என்ற இரண்டு வகைகளாகப் பிரிக்கிறார். வாசுகி, தக்ஷ என்பனவெல்லாம் திவ்ய/ தெய்வீக  பாம்பு வகைகள் .

பெளம பாம்பு வகைகளை சுஸ்ருதர் மேலும் ஐந்து துணை/ உப வகைகளாகப் பிரிக்கிறார் ; நவீன காலத்தில் இரண்டே பிரிவுகள்தான்- விஷமுள்ள பாம்புகள், விஷமற்ற பாம்புகள் .

ஆயுர்வேதத்தில் எட்டு அங்கங்கள் (பிரிவுகள் ) உண்டு. அதில் அகத் தந்திரம் என்ற பகுதி பாம்பு, தேள், பூச்சிகள் விஷக்கடி பற்றி விளம்புகின்றது.

உலகத்தில் 3150 பாம்பு வகைகள் இருக்கின்றன. இவைகளில் 600 மட்டுமே விஷப்பாம்புகள் . இந்தியாவில் 216 பாம்பு வகைகள் இருக்கின்றன. அவற்றில் 60 மட்டுமே விஷத் தன்மை கொண்டவை. உலகம் முழுதும் ஆண்டு தோறும் பாம்பு  கடித்ததனால் இறப்பவர்கள் எண்ணிக்கை 1,25,000. இந்த புள்ளி விவரங்களை உலக சுகாதார ஸ்தாபனம் தொகுத்து,  இந்தப் பிரச்சினை பற்றி விழிப்புணர்வை ஏற்படுத்தியுள்ளது . பெரிய நகரங்களில் பாம்புக்கடிக்கு சிகிச்சை தரும் நவீன மருந்துகள் கிடைக்கின்றன. ஆயினும் பாம்புக்கடி நிகழ்வதோ கிராமப்புறங்களில்தான்.

இந்தியா , நேபாளம் , இலங்கை மற்றும் தென்கிழக்காசிய நாடுகளில் மூலிகைகள் அதிகம் பயன்படுகின்றன. இவற்றில் சுமார் 70 மூலிகைகள் அறிவியல் ரீதியிலும் நிரூபிக்கப்பட்டுள்ளன

மூலிகை மருந்துகள் சிகிச்சை தருவதோடு, கடிபட்ட மக்களுக்கு மனத் தெம்பையும் நம்பிக்கையையும் உண்டாக்குகின்றன. ஏனெனில் கடித்த  பாம்பு விஷப் பாம்பா இல்லையா என்று அறியாமல் பீதியாலும் பயத்தாலும் பலரும் திகைத்து கண்டபடி செயல்படுகின்றனர் . முறையான வைத்தியர்கள் இருந்தால், முதலில் விஷம் உடலில் பரவாமல் தடுக்க துணிக்கட்டு போடுகின்றனர். பின்னர் விஷத்தை உறிஞ்சி எடுக்க பல்வேறு முறைகளைக் கையாளுவர் .

இதை மத்திய இந்தியாவிலும் தமிழ் நாட்டிலும் வேறு சில மூலிகைகளுடன் சேர்த்து பயன்படுத்துகின்றனர் .விட்டுணுக்கிராந்தி ஈச்சுரமூலி ishvara-muli, மாம்பாஞ்சான் mampancan, பெருமருந்து peru-maruntu •என்னும் அரிஷ்டலோகியா இன்டிகாவுடன் பயன்படுத்துகிறார்கள் . இலைகளைப் பொடித்து உண்ண வைக்கிறார்கள்; மத்திய இந்தியாவில் பொடிகள் சேர்த்து அரைத்து களிம்பை கடித்த இடங்களில் வைத்துக் கட்டுகிறார்கள் சர்ப்பகந்தி, கருடக்கொடி மூலிகைகளையும் சேர்த்துக் கொள்ளுவர்

மேரி கேஆஷ் – பெண்களே அழகுடன் முன்னேறுங்கள், சமுதாயத்தை முன்னேற்றுங்கள்! – 1

 பெண்களை முன்னேற்றியவர்!

ஆணாதிக்கம் நிறைந்த சமுதாயத்தில் பெண்களும் முன்னேற வேண்டும் என்ற கூச்சலை நிறையப் பார்க்கிறோம்; ஆனால் பெண்கள் இன்னும் ஆணுக்கு நிகராக சம உரிமையை உலகளாவிய விதத்தில் எல்லா நாடுகளிலும் பெறவில்லை என்பது தான் நிதர்சனமான உண்மை.

பெண்களின் அழகுக்கு அழகூட்டி, மெருகை ஏற்றி அவர்களது தன்னம்பிக்கையை மேம்படுத்தி லட்சக்கணக்கானோரை ஆயிரக் கணக்கில் சம்பாதிக்க வைத்த பெருமை ஒரு பெண்மணியைச் சேரும். அதுவும் இந்த மகத்தான காரியத்தை அவர் ஓசைப்படாமல் செய்தார். அவர் தான் மேரி கே ஆஷ்.

பிறப்பும் இளமையும்

மேரி அமெரிக்காவில் டெக்ஸாஸ் மாகாணத்தில் ஹாட் வெல்ஸ் என்ற இடத்தில் 1918ஆம் ஆண்டு மே மாதம் 12ம் நாள் பிறந்தார்.

தந்தை எட்வர்ட் அலெக்ஸாண்டர். தாயார் லுலா வெம்பெர் ஹேஸ்டிங்ஸ் வாக்னர்.

லுலா ஒரு சிறந்த நர்ஸ். பின்னால் பெரிய உணவு விடுதி ஒன்றின் மேலாளராக ஆனார். ஹூஸ்டனில் படித்த மேரி பட்டம் பெற்றார். 17ஆம் வயதிலேயே மணம் முடித்து மூன்று குழந்தைகளையும் பெற்றார். இரண்டாம் உலகப் போரில் பணி புரிந்த அவரது கணவர் போர் முடிந்தவுடன் திரும்பி வந்தார். விவாக ரத்து ஆனது. பின்னர் அவர் ஜார்ஜ் என்பவரை மணந்தார்.

முதலில் வீடு வீடாகச் சென்று புத்தகங்களை விற்க ஆரம்பித்தார் அவர். பின்னர் வீடுகளுக்குத் தேவையான தயாரிப்புகளை வீடு வீடாகச் சென்று விற்கலானார்.

சோதனை வந்தது

ஒரு நாள் அவரை ஒதுக்கி விட்டு அவரால் பயிற்சி கொடுக்கப்பட்ட ஒருவருக்கு பதவி உயர்வு தரப்படவே மனம் வெறுத்துப் போனார் அவர். அப்போது அவருக்கு வயது 45.

1963இல் கம்பெனியை விட்டு வெளியேறிய அவர், பெண்கள் வணிகத்தில் எப்படி முன்னேறலாம் என்று ஒரு புத்தகத்தை எழுதினார்.

ஆனால் ஆச்சரியப்படும் விதத்தில் அந்தப் புத்தகம் அவருக்கே வணிகத்தை ஆரம்பிக்க உத்திகளைக் கற்றுக் கொடுத்தது; அவர் கணவர் ஜார்ஜுடன் ப்யூடி பை மேரி கே என்ற நிறுவனத்தை 1963இல் ஆரம்பித்தார். ஆனால் துரதிர்ஷ்டவசமாக கணவர் மாரடைப்பினால் அதே வருடம் மரணமடைந்தார். மேரி தனது மூத்த பையன் பென் ரோஜர்ஸிடமிருந்து 5000 டாலர் வாங்கினார்.

மேரி கே காஸ்மெடிக்ஸ்

மேரி கே காஸ்மெடிக்ஸ் என்ற நிறுவனத்தை நிறுவி

துணிந்து தனது விற்பனையை ஆரம்பித்தார். பெண்களுக்கான ஒப்பனைப் பொருள்களை அவரே தயாரித்தார். அத்தோடு பெண்களை உயரிய நிலைக்கு உயர்த்த வேண்டும் என்பதும் அவரது திட்டமாக ஆனது.

ஆகவே விற்பனையில் தனக்கென ஒரு புதிய உத்தியை அவர் மேற்கொண்டார். நேரடி விற்பனை முறை தான் அது! வீடு வீடாகச் சென்று வாடிக்கையாளர்களைச் சந்தித்து அவருக்கே உரித்தான படி அழகு சாதனப் பொருள்களைச் சுட்டிக் காட்டி அவர்களை அலங்கரித்து பின்னர் விருப்பமிருந்தால் தனது பொருள்களை அவர்களை வாங்க வைப்பது தான் அவரது வழி!

தனது ஒப்பனைப் பொருள்களை விற்பதற்கு பல பெண்களை அவர் பயிற்றுவித்தார். அவர்களை தனது சொந்த மகள்களாகவே அவர் பாவித்து அனைத்தையும் கற்றுக் கொடுத்தார்.

தாய் தந்த ஊக்கம்

கடுமையான போட்டி மிகுந்த சந்தையில் அவருக்கு ஏற்பட்ட சோதனைகள் பல. ஆனால் அப்போதெல்லாம் அவர் தனது தாயார் தன்னிடம் கூறிய சொற்களை நினைவு கூர்வார் மேரி.

அவர் தாயார் அவரிடம் கூறிய சொற்கள் : “உன்னால் முடியும் மேரி!”

மெல்ல மெல்ல வளர்ந்த நிறுவனம் அவருக்கு 980லட்சம் டாலரை ஈட்டித் தந்தது. 120 கோடி டாலருக்கும் மேலாக விற்பனை அதிகரித்தது. 80000 பேர் அவரிடம் வேலை பார்த்து முன்னேறினர்.

இன்று 46 நாடுகளில் அவரது தயாரிப்புகள் பெருமளவில் விற்பனை ஆகின்றன. (அமெரிக்க டாலரின் இன்றைய மதிப்பு ஒரு டாலர் = சுமார் 83 ரூபாய்)

Magician , Father of Chemistry, Mahayana Buddhism Founder, Philosopher and author of many books, Nagarjuna, in his work Yogaratnamala deals with scorpion bites and malarial fever. We were lucky to get all his books from China, because Chinese students of Nalanda University translated them into Chinese 2000 years ago. Nagarjuna was the V C of the university at that time. Muslims burnt down the Nalanda University and its huge library 1300 years ago and Hindus lost all its literary treasures. Now we are translating them back into Sanskrit and English.

Scorpion bites

On application of the paste prepared out of the insects of Arka (calotropis ; Erukku in Tamil), the dung of a house iguana/lizard, Manashila (Dioxide of Arsenic), Haritaki (Terminalia chabula; Kadukkay in Tamil), with oil, the poison of a scorpion disappears.

Apply the milk of Arka (Calotropis; Erukkam in Tamil) to the seeds of Palasa (Butea Hrondosa; kalyana murungai in Tamil) 21 times and get the seeds powdered. On application of this paste with oil the poison of a scorpion disappears.

Prepare a pill out of the root of the northern part of a pomegranate tree and beef with water, on touching the affected part with this pill the poison of a scorpion disappears.

Mix together the root and oil of Ankola (Alanghium; Azinjil tree in Tamil), root and oil of Pomegranate tree, the root of Jambhu tree (Naaval in Tamil)  and oil with equal quantity of honey and sugar and prepare a pill out of these. By touching this pill the poison of a scorpion disappears.

Note – one should bear in mind that the mention of Ankola (Alangium) oil, Pomegrantae oil, Jambu oil is made here, but the process of their preparation is not found in the book. Therefore one should always take care to prepare them in accordance with the general process made in Ayurveda. Take one fourth of the ingredients with sixteen times water and prepare the required oil with their paste and the decoction. And with this method, all sorts of oils are to be prepared.

Mix the ashes that are available in the forest and the powder of the seeds of the Sravanika(Mundee) with water and prepare a lepa. On application of this lepa to the body,  a man can travel in rains without being affected by water. I.e. he does not become wet.

குண்டுமணி வேரைக்கொண்டுவந்து புது வேராய்ப் பார்த்து இரண்டு அவுன்சு எடுத்து சிதைத்து அரைப்புட்டி ஜலத்தில் போட்டு அரை மணி நேரம் வரை வேகவைத்து வடிகட்டி அதில் எட்டவுன்சு கற்கண்டாவது தேனாவது கலந்து மறுபடியும் அடுப்பேற்றி காய்ச்சி பாகுபதத்தில் இறக்கி வைத்துக்கொண்டு ஒரு வேளைக்கு  தேக்கரண்டி வீதம் ஒரு நாளைக்கு 4-5 வேளை கொடுக்கலாம். இருமல் சாந்தியாகும்  குண்டு மணி வேருக்கு நாட்டு அதிமதுரம் என்ற பெயருமுண்டு.

கெச்சக்காய் பருப்பு 4 எடுத்து கோழிமுட்டை வெள்ளை அம்பில் விட்டு அரைத்து வடைபோல் தட்டி ஒரு பலம் சித்தாமணக்கெண்ணெய் அடுப்பிலேற்றி மேற்படி வடையைப்போட்டு நண்ராய்ச் சிவக்க சுட்டு எடுத்து அதி மாலை யில் அந்த வாடையைத் தின்றுவிட்டு அதில் மிஞ்சியிருக்கும் எண்ணெயைக் குடித்து விடவும். 5-6 விசை பேதியாகும் . இச்சா பத்தியம் . இப்படி மூன்று நாள் கொடுக்கவும் .

உழுது பயிரிடுதல் நன்று : அனைத்து தெய்வங்களும் உதவிக்கு வரும்! 

ச.நாகராஜன் 

உழவுத் தொழிலை விட மேலானதொரு தொழில் இல்லை. உழவர் முன்னே சொல்ல அவரைத் தொழுது உண்பவர் எல்லாம்  அவர் பின்னே செல்வர்.

ஆனால் உழுவதற்கு உதவி வேண்டுமே!

இதோ உதவி செய்யத் தயார் என்று ஒரு தெய்வ பட்டாளமே வருகிறது.

யார் யார் பார்ப்போமா?

திருமால் நிலத்தை அளிப்பான்.

சிவபிரானின் தோழனாகிய குபேரன் வித்தையைத் தருவான்.

பலராமன் கலப்பையைக் கொடுத்து  உதவுவான்.

யமன் எருமைக் கடாவைத் தருவான்.

முத்தலை சூலத்தைக் கொழுவாக்கிக் கொள்ளலாம்.

வடக்கயிறு முதலியவற்றை அன்பர் தருவர்.

முருகன் இருக்கிறானே, அவன் மாடு மேய்த்து உதவுவான்.

ஆக இனி உழுது பயிரிடுதலே நன்று.

யாராவது இரந்து யாசித்து உண்ணுவார்களா?

(இது நல்ல காரியம் என்று சொல்லி பரமசிவன் உம்மைக் காக்கக் கடவன்.)

அச்சுத தனளிப்பினில முமதுநேயன் வித்தையருளுவன் பலபத்திரன்,

    அலமுதவுவன்சமன் பகடீவனந்தமக் காளதோ ரெருது முண்டே,

முச்சிரவயிற் படையினைக் கொழுவதாக்குவே மொம்புடனிழுத்திறுக்க,

  முந்தியவடகயிற்றுடன்மற்று நமன்தமர் முன்போயிரந்து கொள்வோம்

இச்சையுடை நமதிளைய தனயனாகிய கந்தனி னிமையொடு

    மாடுமேயப்பான்

   இனியுழுது பயிரிடுதல்நன்றுநன் றிதைவிட் டிரந்துண்ப தீனமெனவோ

அலம் உதவுவன்  – கலப்பையைக் கொடுத்து உதவுவான்

சமன் பகடு ஈவனன் – யமன் எருமைக் கடாவைக் கொடுப்பான்

நந்தமக்கு ஆளதோர் எருதும் உ\ண்டே, – நமக்கு ஆளாயிருப்பதாகிய எருதும் உண்டே

முச்சிரம் அயில் படையினைக் கொழுவதாக்குவோம் – முத்தலை சூலத்தை கொழுவாக ஆக்கிக் கொள்வோம்

மொம்புடன் இழுத்து இருக்க – வலிமையுடன் இழுத்து இறுக்க

முந்தியவடகயிற்றுடன் – முதன்மையாகிய வடக் கயிற்றுடன்

மற்றும் – மற்று நாம் வேண்டுவன யாவற்றையும்

நமன் தமர் முன்போய் இரந்து கொள்வோம் – நமது அன்பரிடத்துச் சென்று கேட்டு வாங்கிக் கொள்வோம்

இச்சையுடை – விருப்பத்தை உடைய

நமதிளைய தனயனாகிய கந்தன் இனிமையொடு மாடு மேயப்பான் – நமது இளைய குமாரனாகிய கந்தன் இனிதாக மாடு மேய்ப்பான்

இனி உழுது பயிரிடுதல் நன்று நன்று – இனி உழுது பயிரிடுதலே நல்லது, நல்லது

இதை விட்டு இரந்துண்பது ஈனம் – இதை விட்டு யாசித்து உண்பது இழிவே

கச்சு முலை மாது உமை உரைத்திடும் புத்தியை – கச்சணிந்த மார்பகங்களை உடைய உமாதேவி சொல்லும் புத்தியை

கைக்கொண்டு   ஏற்றுக் கொண்டு

உளத்தில் இது நற்,காரியமெனக் கருதி  – மனதில் இது நல்ல காரியம் என்று கருதி

மெத்தக்களித்திடும் – மிகவும்  மகிழ்கின்ற

 கண்ணுதல் – நெற்றிக்கண்ணை உடைய சிவபிரான்

உமைக் காக்கவே – உங்களைக் காக்கக் கடவன்.

விளையாட்டாக ஆரம்பித்து முக்கிய கருத்தை வலியிறுத்தி இறையருளை வேண்டி சிவபிரான், பார்வதியின் அருள் கிடைப்பதை சிவபிரகாச சுவாமிகள் உறுதி செய்யும் விதமே தனி!

World famous philosopher cum magician describes many magic sex formulas in his book Yogaratnamala, that was found in China and retranslated into Sanskrit. The book is at least 2000 years old.

All the following tips look like practical jokes; but the Chinese took the book in translation before 2000 years. Nagarjuna was the Vice Chancellor of Nalanda University in Bihar at that time. Later the Muslims burnt down the university along with its huge library. That was burning for 7 days according to historians.

All the 140 slokas were translated into English by Dr Pushpendra Kumar of Sanskrit Department of Delhi University. Book Title- Nagarjuna’s Yogaratnamala.

Collect the mud from both sides of a river and the hairs of a dog and a bitch that are on cohabitation. Then prepare pill out of those two. On thinking a person in mind, if this pill is put into the oil of Ankola tree (Azinjil in Tamil), then the man stands confined to that particular place wherever he stands at that time. On removal of that pill from the oil, he moves.

Collect blood of a tiger, pieces of flesh of a tiger, Bhramara (bee), curd and lotus flower. Then preserve them in water pot for  seven days. On the seventh day a couple of tiger looking apparently, six month cubs , will come out.

Write the name of a person on a wing of a crow in the blood of a heart of a crow and with the wing as a pen  and keep this wing inside the faeces of a person. The man faces the disturbance caused by crows. On removal of this wing from the faeces that person gets relief .

Write the name of a person on a leaf of mango in the blood of a heart of a crow and keep this wing inside the faeces of a person. The crows disturb the person like anything. On removal of this leaf from the faeces he gets relief .
