FIRST PART WAS POSTED HERE ON 3RD JULY 2021. HERE IS THE SECOND PART:-
CLOSE RELATIONSHIP BETWEEN FATHER AND SON, AND MOTHER AND HER CHILDREN ARE FOUND BOTH IN THE RIG VEDA AND THE TAMIL VEDAA KNOWN AS TIRUKKURAL. I HAVE COLLECTED SOME MANTRAS FROM THE FIRST 100 MANTRAS OF THE RIG VEDA (RV).
RV 1-26-3
Agni , you are like a father for his son, kinsman for his kinsman and a friend for his worthy friend .
Here in one single mantra we see father, relative and friend. That shows the close-knit society of the Vedic period.

RV 1-91-20
Skilled in home duties, meet for holy synod, for council meet, a glory to his father .
The meaning is that Lord Soma blesses the worshipper with a worthy son who will shine in the assembly of scholars and bring glory to his father.
Tamil Veda echoes this message in Tiruk Kural:-
The duty of the son to the father is to make others exclaim what penance has he/ father done to be blessed with such a worthy son –KURAL 70
Earlier Valluvar says
What a father expected to do his son is to make him fit to hold the foremost place among the learned – KURAL 67
RV.1-38-1
What now? when will you take us by both hands , as a dear father his son?
Gods, sacred grass is clipped and spread for you to sit.
This sensual touch of children is also in the Tamil Veda-
The touch of children is delightful to the body, and their voice is pleasing to ear – KURAL 67
The food into which the children’s little hands have been dipped will be far sweeter to the parent than the Amrita – KURAL 64
Sweet is the music of flute and lute to those who know not the melody of their little one’s prattle – KURAL 66
In another Kural couplet Valluvar says that a mother will be happier when she hears that her son is a scholar than the day she gave birth to him.
This shows the approach of Valluvar and Vedic Rishis/seers is same with regard to family duties and relationship.

Violence against misers is also found both Tamil Veda Tirukkural and the Rig Veda. Please see the following link:-
