Tiru Valluvar, the author of Tiruk Kural declared that he was a Sanatani Hindu in the Kural couplets 41,42, 43. All the translators are clear and loud that Valluvar said House holder helps Brahmachari/bachelor, Vanaprastan/OAP- old age pensioner and Sanyasin/Ascetic. This is the order found only in Manu Smriti and Gruhya Sutras. Even Greek traveller Apollonius mentioned the practice held in India.

Manu says it in 3-78

Thiru Valluvar used the Tamil word Thenpulaththaar- those who live in South- the dead in the land of Yama. This is a Vedic concept. Brahmins face the direction South three times a day and say a Mantra to appease Lord Yama. They praise Yama with 11 names thrice a day. Valluvar also points it out as a daily ritual.

VAT 17 and half percent is mentioned indirectly by Valluvar. In most of the countries the government takes one sixth of one’s income. In couplet 43 he says five parts are for us (and the sixth part is for the government) . This is in all the Smritis (Hindu Law Books) ;Hindus have twenty law books including Manu Smriti. Hindus kept on updating like we enact constitutional amendments via parliament evey now and then.

Buddhists and Jains followed most of the Hindu laws. Even today Hindu Law is appliable for all Indians except the people of Abrahamic religions.

In couplet/Kural 43 and 50 he did not hesitate to use Sanskrit word DEIVAM (English got the word Divine from it: Deva= Divine=Deivam)

Titi and Tarpanam are done by most of the Brahmins for the departed souls. They are supposed to do it 96 times in a year, but most do once or twice a month. Even Non Brahmins do it at least twice a year on Adi and Thai Amavasyai (new moon days). Even before Buddha and Mahavir were born Hindus were doing it.

There is no chapter in Tirukkural without a Sanskrit word. Over 600 Kurals out of 1330 have Sanskrit words.
