anger was uncontrollable. Devas feared his anger may destroy the world. Immediately
Shiva took Sarabha form and controlled the anger of Nara Simha (Man Lion)

the Wheel with Boomerang powers from Lord Shiva. It is like space shuttle or Australian
Boomerang. It would come back to Lord Vishnu after hitting the target.

hunter received the blessing of Lord Shiva, for doing Vilva Archana to Shiva
without knowing that he was dropping Bilva leaves on a Shiva statue. He was
resting on a tree to keep him safe from wild animals on a Shiv Ratri Night and
it so happened that there was a shiva linga underneath the tree.

I am
publishing 45 pictures from a 119 year
old book in Parts . The book is Siva Maha Purana, available at the British
library in London. I will give brief description in English along with the
pictures of Lord Siva.

புராணம் என்னும் சிவ மஹா புராணம் 1900-ம்
ஆண்டு வெளியானது. இதில் சுமார் 45 படங்கள்
உள்ளன. அவற்றை பகுதி பகுதியாக வெளியிடுகிறேன் இந்த புஸ்தகம் லண்டனிலுள்ள
பிரிட்டிஷ் லைப்ரரியில் உள்ளது

When Uma is doing Puja to Shiva, Manmatha, God of Love, is firing his five Flower arrows. When Manmatha does it one willget amorous feelings

Shiva in disguise, is testing Uma’s devotion to him. This is beautifully described in Kalidasa’s Kumara Sambhava. When she passed his test, he appeared in his usual form.

According to Siva’s wish, the Seven Seers (Sapta Rishis) went to the King Parvatharajan (King of Himayan Region) and asked him Uma’s hand to Siva. Loot at the Seven Great Rishis Atri,Brhu, Kutsa, Vasistha, Gautama,Kasyapa and Angirasa. Vasistha’s wife Arundhati, embodiment of Chastity, according to Sangam Tamil Literature, is also present.

All the Devas (divine personalities) were invited to the wedding of Uma with Shiva. Look at the picture of guests! The artist has taken enough pain to show Ganesh, Skanda, Indra and all with their symbols or Vahanas. Good imagination. Try to identify as many devas as you can.

of Plantain Trees (Banana) and the Kanya Dhanam (donating by pouring water) .
Hindus originated in India and so they use water from birth to death in all the
SUBHA and ASUBHA actions. They did not
come from outside India is proved by their Mantas on the power of water in the
Rig Veda, the oldest book in the world, dated 6000 BCE by BG Tilak and Herman
Jacobi.

“Eve, I have a cunning
plan,” says God, “I shall create Man for you.”
“Man?” asks Eve,
“What is Man?”
“Man…” says God,
“Is a flawed creature. He will have many weaknesses and disgusting habits.
Man will lie, cheat and behave like an idiot – in fact mostly he’ll be a
complete pain in the backside. But on the plus side he’ll be big and strong,
and will be able to protect you, and hunt and kill things, which might be handy
sometimes. He will tend to lose control of mind and body when aroused, but with
a bit training can reach an acceptable standard in the bedroom department, if
you know what I mean.”
“Hmm,” says Eve,
“Seems like this Man idea might be worth a try, but tell me God, is
there anything else I need to know?”
“Just this,” says God, “Man comes with one condition… In keeping with his arrogant, deluded, self-important character, Man will naturally believe that he was made first, and frankly we all have better things to do than argue, so you must keep all this a secret between us, if that’s okay with you. You know, woman to woman..”
