நதிகளைக் காப்போம்!

லட்சக்கணக்கான மக்களின் வாழ்வாதாரமாக அமைவது இந்திய நாட்டில் ஓடும் நதிகளே.
கங்கை, யமுனை, பிரம்மபுத்திரா, நர்மதா, கோதாவரி, கிருஷ்ணா, காவிரி, தாமிரபரணி, வைகை என ஏராளமான நதிகள் ஆங்காங்கே வாழும் மக்களின் ஜீவாதாரமாகத் திகழ்கின்றன.
ஆனால் இப்படிப்ப்ட நதிகளின் நீரை அசுத்தமாக்குவதும், ஆற்றில் உள்ள மணலைச் சுரண்டி அள்ளி நதியின் ஜீவ ஓட்டத்தைத் தடைப்படுத்துவதும் நாளுக்கு நாள் அதிகமாகி வருவது வருத்தமூட்டும் ஒரு விஷயம்!
தூய்மைக்கே தூய்மை தரும் நதி என நமது பண்டைய இலக்கியங்கள் புகழும் கங்கை நதி ஐந்து மாநிலங்கள் வழியே சுமார் 2525 கிலோமீட்டர் பாய்ந்து ஓடி 50 கோடிக்கும் மேற்பட்ட மக்களுக்குக் காலம் காலமாகப் பயனை அள்ளி வழங்கும் ஒரு நதியாகும்.
கங்கோத்ரியில் சிறு துளியாகத் துளிர்த்து பெரும் ஜீவநதியாக உருமாறும் இந்த நதியின் இன்றைய நிலை மிகவும் உன்னிப்பாகக் கண்காணிக்கப்பட்டு வருகிறது.
கங்கோத்ரியில் இதன் தூய்மை கெடவில்லை.
பின்னர் ஹரித்வாரை அடையும் போது கங்கை நீர் நல்ல நிலையில் இருக்கிறது.
அதன் பின்னர் தொழில் நகரமான கான்பூரில் கங்கை நீர் அசுத்தமாகி விடுகிறது. அங்கு நீரை சுத்தப்படுத்தி நன்னீராக்கும் அவசியம் ஏற்படுகிறது.
கங்கை, யமுனை, மறைந்து அந்தர்வாஹினியாக ஓடும் சரஸ்வதி ஆகிய மூன்று நதிகளும் சங்கமிக்கும் அலஹாபாத்திலோ கங்கை நீர் கலங்கலாக இருக்கிறது.
வாரணாசி என புகழப்படும் புனித ஸ்தலத்தில் குளிப்பதற்குத் தகுதியான நீர் என்றாலும் கூட அசுத்தத்துடனேயே இன்று பாய்கிறது.
அடுத்து பாட்னா போன்ற பகுதிகளில் குளிப்பதற்கும் குடிப்பதற்கும் தகுதியற்ற நிலையை உடையதாக இருப்பதால் வாடர் ட்ரீட்மெண்ட் எனப்படும் நன்னீராக்கும் பணி தேவைப்படுகிறது.
இப்படி ஒவ்வொரு நதியாக ஆய்வு செய்து பார்த்தால் மனிதனால் மட்டுமே இப்படிப்பட்ட இயற்கைச் செல்வங்கள்
அசுத்தமாக்கப்படுவது தெரிய வரும். பெரும்பாலான தொழிற்சாலைக் கழிவுகள் உள்ளிட்ட அசுத்தங்கள் தூய்மையான நீரைக் கெடுப்பதால் இந்த நதிகளில் வாழும் ஆமை மீன் உள்ளிட்ட உயிரினங்களும் இறந்து படுகின்றன.
ஆகவே நதிக்கரையோரம் வாழும் மக்கள் புனித நதிகளைக் காக்கும் உறுதி மொழியை எடுத்துக் கொண்டு அவற்றைக் காக்க வேண்டியது இன்றைய இன்றியமையாத அவசியமான தேவை; அவசரமான தேவையும் கூட என்றே சொல்லலாம்!

Flea Show
The following incident occurred at the Flea Show in Paris.
One of the dear creatures which acted as coachman to the great flea coach,
managed to hop off his box, and elected a rather stout lady, standing near, as
his resting place. The proprietor of the show, who had spent much time and
patience upon the education of his
insect, was in despair, and the lady was asked if she would mind making a
search for the missing flea.

நீரின் வகைகளும் அவற்றின் பயன்பாடும்!

அறிவியல் வளர வளர அதன் அடிப்படையில் ஒவ்வொன்றிற்குமான தர நிர்ணயமும் துல்லியமாக நிர்ணயிக்கப்படுகிறது.
ஆக இந்த வகையில் அன்றாடம் ஒவ்வொருவருக்கும் இன்றியமையாத நீரின் தரமும் நிர்ணயிக்கப்பட்டுள்ளது. இதை ஒவ்வொருவரும் அறிவது அவசியம்.
சுத்தமற்ற நீரால் ஏராளமான வியாதிகள் பரவுகின்றன என்பதை அனைவரும் அறிவோம். காலரா உள்ளிட்ட தொற்று வியாதிகளையும் இதர வியாதிகளையும் பரவாமல் செய்ய நீரின் தன்மையை உயரிய அளவில் தரமுள்ளதாக மேம்படுத்துவது இன்றியமையாததாக அமைகிறது.
நீரை மூன்று விதமாகப் பிரிக்கலாம். க்ளாஸ் ஏ (Class A), க்ளாஸ் சி (Class C) க்ளாஸ் ஏயும் இல்லை, சியும் இல்லை என்ற ரகம் (Neither in Class A nor Class C) ஆக இப்படி மூன்று விதமாக நீரின் தரத்தை நிர்ணயிக்க முடிகிறது.
க்ளாஸ் ஏ என்ற நீரில் ஒரு லிட்டர் நீரில் 6 மில்லி கிராமுக்கும் அதிகமாக ஆக்ஸிஜன் கரைந்திருப்பதைக் குறிக்கும் (Dissolved Oxygen more then 6 mg/l). தொற்றுநீக்கம் (Disinfection) செய்யப்பட்ட பின் இப்படிப்பட்ட நீர் பருகுவதற்கு உகந்ததாக அமைகிறது.
அடுத்து க்ளாஸ் சி என்பதில் நீரை முதலில் தொற்று நீக்கம் செய்து பின்னர் நன்னீராக்கும் முறை (water treatment process) கடைப்பிடிக்கப்படுகிறது. இதில் ஒரு லிட்டர் நீரில் 4 மில்லி கிராமுக்கும் அதிகமாக ஆக்ஸிஜன் கரைந்திருப்பதைக் குறிக்கும் (Dissolved Oxygen more then 4 mg/l).
இந்த இரண்டுமற்ற நிலையில் உள்ள நீரை மிகவும் உயரிய நிலை நன்னீராக்கும் வழி முறைப்படி நன்னீராக்கிய பின்னரே பயன்படுத்தலாம்.
குளிக்கும் நீருக்கும் கூட இப்படிப்பட்ட தர நிர்ணயம் இருப்பதால் உரிய முறையில் நீர் நன்னீராக்கப்பட்டிருக்கிறதா என்பதை அறிந்து அதன் பின்னரே பயன்படுத்தல் வேண்டும்.
கழிவு நீரை சுத்த நீருடன் சேர்க்காமல் இருக்கும் படி செய்வது கிராமப்புறங்களில் வாழும் ஒவ்வொரு வீட்டாரின் கடமையாகும்.
இன்றைய நவநாகரீக வாழ்க்கை முறையில் பெரு நகரங்களில் கேன்களில் அடைக்கப்பட்டு வரும் நீர் சுகாதார முறைப்படி நன்னீராக்கப்பட்டிருக்கிறதா என்பதை உறுதி செய்துகொண்ட பின்னரே அவற்றைப் பயன்படுத்தல் வேண்டும்.
சீரைத் தேடின் நீரைத் தேடு என்பது தமிழ்ப் பழமொழி. அந்த நீரும் நன்னீராக இருப்பது அவசியம் என்பது இன்றைய காலத்தின் கட்டாயம்.

சுற்றுப்புறச் சூழல் பற்றிய விழிப்புணர்வு நாளுக்கு நாள் பெரு நகரங்களில் அதிகரித்து வருவது உற்சாகமூட்டும் ஒரு விஷயமாக அமைகிறது.
அவ்வப்பொழுது நடக்கும் விருந்துகளில் பங்கு கொள்வோர் தமக்கு வேண்டிய ஸ்பூன் மற்றும் டம்ளர்களைத் தாங்களே கொண்டு வர ஆரம்பித்திருப்பது ஒரு நல்ல அறிகுறியாகும்.
பேப்பரினால் ஆன கப்புகள், பிளாஸ்டிக் ஸ்பூன்கள், தட்டுகள் ஆகியவை இதன் மூலம் அறவே தவிர்க்கப்படுகின்றன. இதனால் சுற்றுப்புறச் சூழலில் இதுவரை ஏற்பட்டு வந்த மாசு குறைகிறது.தனி நபர்கள் நடத்தும் விருந்துகள், சமூக விருந்துகள், அரசு நடத்தும் விருந்துகள் ஆகியவற்றில் இப்படி அவரவரே தங்களுக்குத் தேவையான தட்டு முதல் ஸ்பூன் வரை கொண்டு வருவதைப் பார்க்கும் ஒவ்வொருவரும் இதைப் பின்பற்ற முன்வர வேண்டும்.

பயனற்ற மொபைல் போனின் பாகங்கள், மின்னணுப் பொருள்களின் சிதைந்த பகுதிகள், கம்ப்யூட்டரின் பகுதிகள் ஆகியவற்றை பொதுவான குப்பைத் தொட்டிகளில் போடாமல் இதற்கென தனியாக ஒரு தொட்டியை அமைத்து அதில் போடுதல் இன்றியமையாதது. ஈ வேஸ்ட் எனப்படும் மின்னணு கழிவுகளை அதற்கென உள்ள தொட்டிகளில் போடுவதால் 90 சதவிகிதம் அபாயம் தவிர்க்கப்படுவதை பெரு நகரப் புள்ளி விவரங்கள் விளக்குகின்றன.
