திரைப்பட டைரக்டர் அம்ஷன்குமார் நேற்று லண்டனுக்கு வந்திருந்தார். அவருடைய ‘மனுஷங்கடா’ திரைப்படம் நேற்று கிழக்கு லண்டனில் திரையிடப்பட்டது. ‘விம்பம்’ கே.கே.ராஜா மற்றும் பத்மநாத ஐயர், ச.சற்குணன் ஆகியோர் நிகழ்ச்சியை முன்னின்று நடத்தினர்.
பல ஆண்டுகளுக்கு முன்னர் பாரதியார் டாகுமெண்டரி படத்தை லண்டனில் திரையிடப்பட்டது முதல் அவருடன் தொடர்பு உண்டு. இதன் காரணமாக அவரை அரை மணி நேரம் பேட்டி கண்டேன். அவரை லண்டனில் பலருக்கும் அறிமுகப்படுத்திய லண்டன் வாழ் இலங்கைப் பிரமுகர் பத்மநாத ஐயரும் உடனிருந்தார்.
பேச்சுவாக்கில் அம்ஷன்குமார் தெரிவித்த ஒரு முக்கிய தகவல் மனுஷங்க்டா திரைப்படத்தில் அவர் மகனும் நடித்திருக்கும் செய்தியாகும். படம் மனித உரிமை பற்றியது. ஆரம்பம் முதலே விறுவிறுப்பாக சென்றது. கெய்ரோ திரைப்பட விழாவில் திரையிடப்பட்டது இப்படம்.
அம்ஷன்குமாரின் ‘பாரதியார்’ படம் மிகவும் உருக்கமானது. பாரதியாரின் ஏழ்மைமிகு வாழ்க்காஇ நமக்குக் கண்ணீரை வரவழைக்கும். அதைப் பல ஆண்டுகளுக்கு முன் லண்டனில் திரையிடப்பட்ட பின்னர் நடந்த நிகழ்ச்சிகளை வினவினேன். அவர் உ.வே.சா, யாழ்ப்பாணம் இசை வித்தகர் தட்சிணாமூர்த்தி, விஞ்ஞானி சி.,வி ராமன், பாடகர் மணக்கால் ரங்கராஜன் ஆகியோர் டாகுமெண்டரிகளை எடுத்தது பற்றிச் சொன்னார்.
இது போன்ற நல்லபடங்களுக்கு ஆதரவு எப்படி இருக்கிறது? என்று கேட்ட போது பல பல்கலைக்கழக, கல்லூரி வட்டாரங்களிலும் பேசுவதற்கு அழைப்பு வருகிறது; படங்கள் காட்டுவதோடு டாக்குமெண்டரி படங்கள் தயாரிப்பு பற்றியும் சொற்பொழிவு நடத்த்கிறேன் என்றார்.
இவைகளுக்கு எல்லாம் பெரும்பொருட் செலவு ஆகுமே எப்படி சமாளிக்கிறீர்கள்? என்று கேட்டபோது அவ்வப்போது அன்பர்கள் முன்வந்து உதவுகிறார்கள் என்றார். இப்போது நெட்ப்லிக்ஸ்(Netflix) முதலியனவும் அவர் படங்களை வங்குவது மகிழ்ச்சிக்குரிய செய்தி.
இன்றைய திரைப்பட நிகழ்ச்சியில் பேசிய சற்குணனும் மனுஷங்கடா படத்துக்கு உதவிசெய்தது பற்றிக் குறிப்பிட்டார். அம்ஷன் குமார் ஏற்கனவே ‘ஒருத்தி’ என்ற முழு நீளப் படமும் எடுத்துள்ளார்.
சுமார் 15 நாடுகளுக்குச் சென்று வந்த அவர் பல விருதுகளையும் வென்றுள்ளார்.
உங்களுடைய எதிர்கால குறிக்கோள் என்ன? இன்னும் என்ன படம் எடுக்க எண்ணியுள்ளீர்கள்? என்றேன். மிகவும் பணிவுடன் அப்படிப் பெரிய திட்டங்கள் எதுவும் இல்லை. வருவதை எதிர்கொள்வேன், அவ்வப்போது தோன்றுவதைச் செய்கிறேன் என்று பதில் தந்தார்.
உங்கள் சாதனைகள் பற்றிய பிரசுரம் ஏதேனும் இருக்கிறதா என்று கேட்டேன். அவ்வப்போது பத்திரிக்கையில் வந்ததைத் தவிர விக்கிபீடியாவில் சிறு குறிப்பு உள்ளது என்றார். அதிலுள்ள முக்கிய விஷயங்கள் பின்வருமாறு:
யாழ்ப்பாணம் தெட்சிணாமுர்த்தி படத்துக்கு தேசிய பிலிம் விருது (2015) கிடைத்தது.
சினிமா ரசனை என்ற நூல் எழுதியுள்ளார்.
அவருடைய ‘ஒருத்தி’ படம் 2003ல்- சர்வதேச திரைப்படவிழாவில் திரையிடப்பட்டது. ‘மனுஷங்கடா’ படம் எகிப்திலும் இந்தியாவிலும் திரைப்பட விழாக்களில் காண்பிக்கப்பட்டது.
இருபதுக்கும் மேலான டாக்குமெண்டரி படஙளை எடுத்த அவர் உ.வே.சா. , பாரதியார் போன்ற படங்களை எடுத்ததன் மூலம் தமிழுக்கும் சி.வி.ராமன், சதுப்பு நிலக்காடுகள் போன்ற படங்களை தயாரிததன்மூலம் தேசத்துக்கும் தெட்சணாமூர்த்தி, மணக்கால் ரங்கராஜன் போன்ற படங்களின் மூலம் இசைக்கும் பெரும் தொண்டாற்றி இருக்கிறார் என்றால் அது மிகையாகாது.
இவருடைய பார்வை பல கலைகளையும் விஷயங்களையும் தொடுவதால் எதிர்காலத்தில் இன்னும் பல புதுமைப் படைப்புகளை எதிர்பார்க்கலாம். ஆயினும் இது எல்லாம் நம்மைப் போன்றவர் கொடுக்கும் அதரவைப் பொறுத்தே இருக்கும் என்பதால் நாம் முழு ஆதரவு தவேண்டும்.
லண்டனைப் பொறுத்த வரை விம்பம் ராஜா மூலம் அவரது படங்களை எப்போதும் திரையிட வாய்ப்பு உண்டு என்று அம்ஷன்குமார் என்னிடம் கூறியது மகிழ்ச்சி தந்தது. நானும் பாரதியார், உ.வே.சா. படங்களைத் திரையிட சிலரிடம் பேசி வருகிறேன்.
