Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh (RSS) chief Mohan Bhagwat on Sunday lashed out at China for encroaching India’s borders during the coronavirus disease (Covid-19) pandemic. In his annual address, Bhagwat said that the world knows China’s expansionist nature.
Bhagwat further asserted that that securing cooperative ties with our neighbours and at international relations is the only way to neutralise the expansionist aspirations of China.
The RSS chief also spoke about the Citizenship Amendment Act. “Citizenship (Amendment) Act not against any religious community, but some people misled our Muslim brothers claiming it was aimed at restricting their population,” he said.

NOW SOME INTERESTING NEWS FROM TELENGANA
Telangana ministers offered special prayers to pacify flooded Hyderabad’s Musi river. In order to calm the flooded Musi, which has ravaged several parts of HYDERABAD, Home Minister Mahmood Ali and Animal Husbandry Minister Talasani Srinivas Yadav on Wednesday performed a special shanti puja, praying to the River Goddess to spare the residents, at the river’s temple at Puranapul on Wednesday. It is remarkable that Muslim minister also joined the prayers.

They also offered jewellery, silk robes and a chadar at the Musa Qadri Dargah. The Ministers then presented flowers to the tamarind tree that saved 200 people from the floods in 1908.
Hyderabad Mayor Bonthu Rammohan and Deputy Mayor Baba Fasiuddin also presented flowers to the tamarind tree that still bears fruit.

Navaratri celebrations in ANDHRA PRADESH that used to be held in every locality were virtually absent, though the festival started on October 17 and is concluding with Teppotsavam in Krishna River on Sunday.
Every year, nearly 70,000–80,000 devotees would daily visit Durga temple on Indrakeeladri during Dasara festivities. The rush would cross the one-lakh figure on the auspicious Moola Nakshatram Day, which is the birth star of Goddess Durga. ONLY 25,000 DEVOTEES CAME TO THE TEMPLE THIS YEAR

NEWS FROM TAMILNADU
A case was registered against Chidambaram MP and VCK president Thirumavalavan at Perambalur police station on Tuesday based on a complaint by Hindu Munani functionary.
The complaint was against his speech at an event in Pondicherry last week. Hindu Munani Perambalur town secretary Kannan filed the complaint against the VCK chief for allegedly ‘insulting Hindu religion and fanning religious tensions’.
“At an event in Pondicherry, Thirumavalavan spoke in a way that degraded Hindu gods and our faith. He has insulted the sentiments of Hindus. The video is spreading and is hurting our faith,” said Kannan in the complaint.
The Chennai city police have ALSO registered a case against VCK leader Thol Thirumavalavan for promoting enmity against different religious groups over his comment on Manusmriti on Friday. The police have registered a case based on an online complaint by BJP legal cell state secretary Ashwathaman on Friday.
The controversy between the BJP and VCK started after a video clip from September went viral on social media. During a webinar organised on Periyar and Indian politics, VCK MP Thol Thirumavalavan ALLEGDELY MADE SOME DEROGATORY REMARKS AGAINST WOMEN.
