The 30 white skinned people under Max Muller gang and the anti Hindu Marxist gang could not translate many words in the Vedas. When different numbers came they said they are just ‘fancilful’ numbers without any significance. When one fellow interpreted one word as an insect, another fellow said ‘No, it must be Devata’; ‘third person said no probably they meant a drainage’. If you want Vedic jokes I can give you how one word is interpretaed in six different ways. But I would like to invite you to enjoy the jokes for yourself. Please read all the 20,000 mantras in Four Vedas; but never ever jump to conclusion; then you would be the 31st idiot in Max Muller-Marxist Gang! All hymns are available free in Wikipedia and from other sources.
This gang of bad people suddenly quotes Sayana, the great Hindu commentator, and then cunningly introduce their own interpretations; you would be confused. That is their plan! Sayana himself came many thousand years after the Vedic mantras!! Neither 2000 year old Sangam Tamil literature nor older Sanskrit literature said anything about Aryans coming into India. But the gang of scoundrels repeated it till their last breadth. Mahatma Gandhi, Ambedkar, Swami Vivekananda, Aurobindo and other great people ridiucled this Western mischief.
One Atharvana Veda (AV) hymn is as difficult as the Rig Vedic hymn 1-164. There the most famous statement is made by a saint/seer called Mr Long Darkness. His name is Dirgatamas. He was born blind. He said ‘God is one; scholars name him differently’- ‘Ekam Sat Vibraahaa Bahutaa Vadanti’ . But his other statements in the long poem surprised scholars. They could not give uniform interpretation.
And now another Athrvana Vedic (AV) poem says GOD IS ONE, but in NUMBERS! No one could give the meaning of this Atharvana Veda Mantra in full; the reason being the saint or seer repeated several things in numbers. First read the Numbers and then the translation:-
Follwing Vedic metres mean the number of syllables in it; but to say a particular number also they use it: (these metre names come in the referred AV hymn)
Gayatri – 24 Ushnih -28 Anushtub – 32 Brihati – 36 Pankti- 40 Trishtub – 44 Jagati – 48 (Brahmins repeat this thrice a day in their Sandhyavandana ritual). Certain numbers are very familiar with Vedic students. For instance if I want to say I want 8 Dosas, I may say ‘please give me Vasu (8) dosas’, 11 Vadas, I may say ‘Rudra (11) Vadas’, and for 12 laddus, I may say ‘Aditya laddus, please!’ xxxxx

Calves of Virāj, these two arose from water. Who knows her steps, how oft, how far extended, who knows her home and number of her dawnings? 11.She here who first of all sent forth her lustre moves onward resting on these lower creatures. Exalted power and might are stored within her: the woman hath prevailed, the new-come mother. 12.Both Dawns on wings of song, with rich adornment, move on together to their common dwelling. Sūrya’s two wives, unwasting, most prolific, knowing their way, move, rich in light, together. 13.The three have passed along the path of Order—three warm libations have regarded offspring One quickens progeny, one strengthens vigour, and one protects the kingdom of the pious. 14.She who was fourth was made by Agni, Soma, and Rishis as. they formed both halves of worship, Gāyatrī, Trishtup, Jagatī, Anushtup, Brihadarki lightening the sacrificer. 15.Five milkings answer to the fivefold dawning, five seasons to the cow who bears five titles. The five sky-regions made fifteen in number, one head have these to one sole world directed. 16.Six Elements arose, first-born of Order: the six-day time is carried by six Sāmans. p. a348 Six-yoked the plough is, as each trace is numbered: they call both broad ones six; six, Earth and Heaven. 17.They call the cold months six, and six the hot ones. Which, tell us, of the seasons is redundant? Seven sages, eagles, have sat down together: seven metres match the seven Consecrations. 18.Seven are the Homas, seven the logs for burning, seven are the streams of mead, and seven the seasons. Into the world have come seven streams of butter; those we have heard of as the Seven Vultures. 19.Seven metres, by four syllables increasing, each of the seven founded upon another How are the hymns of praise on these supported, and how are these imposed upon the praise-songs? 20.How hath the Gāyatri filled out three triads? On the fifteen how is the Trishtup moulded, Jagatī fashioned on the three-and-thirty? How is Anushtup formed? how Ekavinsa? 21.Eight Elements sprang up, first born of Order: the Priests divine are eight in number, Indra! Eight are the wombs of Aditi, eight her children; for the eighth night is the libation destined. 22.So planning bliss for you have I come hither to win your friendship: kind am I, and gracious. Born from one source, propitious is your wisdom: knowing full well to all of you it cometh. 23.To Indra eight, to Yama six, seven to the Rishis, seven to each: The number five accompanies waters and men and healing herbs. 24.The Heifer, all his own, poured forth for Indra control and milk at her first time of milking; And he then satisfied the four divisions, the Gods and men and Asuras and Rishis. 25.Who is the Cow? Who is the Single Rishi? What is the law, what are the benedictions? What on the earth is the one only Spirit? Which of the number is the Single Season? 26.One is the Cow, one is the Single Spirit, one is the law, single are benedictions. p. a349 The Spirit dwelling on the earth is single: the Single Season never is transcended. xxx
What is it? Such poems in Vedas are called Brahmodyam. It consists of a series of purposely enigmatical question and dark answers on cosmological, ritual and metrical doctrine. It is obscure throughout and many parts i find it absolutely unintelligible, says Ralph TH Griffith in the foot note In footnotes, the translators have added their interpretaions, mostly conjectural. There are more poems like this in AV , 5-1, 4-1 etc In a footnote for AV 5-1 , Griffith adds, This hymn like the introductory hymn of Book IV, is a Brahmodyam, an enunciation in designedly enigmatical language of cosmological and mysto theological doctrine. TRANSLATION AND EXPLANATION CAN ONLY BE CONJECTURAL, AND SOME PASSAGES DO NOT LEND THEMSELVES TO EITHER.
It is very difficult to get the proper meaning of many Vedic mantras. The best way of approach is to listen to great people who practise it and who believe in the Vedas. Fortunately we still have great Shankaracharyas and Vedic scholars attached to Shankara Mutts. It is the duty of every Hindu to support Vedic pundits and encourage more children to join Veda Patasalas, at least on part time basis.One Adi Shankara or one Vivekananda will come one day to restore the ancient glory. –subham–

ஆலயம் அறிவோம் தொடரில் இன்று நமது யாத்திரையில் இடம் பெறுவது நவகிரகங்களில் மனதிற்கு அதிபதியான சந்திர பகவானின் சிறப்புத் தலமான திங்களூர் திருத்தலம் ஆகும். தமிழகத்தில், திருவையாற்றிலிருந்து மூன்று கிலோமீட்டர் தொலைவிலும் கும்பகோணத்திலிருந்து 33 கிலோமீட்டர் தொலைவிலும் இது அமைந்துள்ளது.
இங்குள்ள கைலாச நாதர் கோவில் மிகவும் சிறப்பு வாய்ந்த கோவில் ஆகும் இறைவனின் திருநாமம் : ஸ்ரீ கைலாச நாதர் அம்மன் : பெரியநாயகி ஸ்தல வ்ருக்ஷம் : வில்வ மரம் தீர்த்தம் : சந்திர புஷ்கரணி விசேஷ மூர்த்தி: சந்திர பகவான்
இத்தலத்தைப் பற்றிய புராண வரலாறுகள் பல உண்டு. பாற்கடலை கடைந்த போது ஆலகால விஷம் உருவாகவே அதை சிவபிரான் குடித்து தன் கண்டத்தில் அடக்கினார். அப்போது விஷத்தின் தாக்கத்தினால் தேவர்கள் மயக்கமுற்றனர். அந்த விஷத்துடன் எழுந்து வந்த சந்திர பகவான் தேவர்களின் மயக்கத்தை நீக்கினார். ஆகவே இத்தலம் திங்களூர் என்னும் பெயரைப் பெற்றது. இங்கு ஒவ்வொரு ஆண்டும் பங்குனி உத்திரத்தன்று காலை உதயத்தின் போது 6 மணிக்கு சூரிய ஒளி லிங்கத்தின் மீது பட்டு சூரிய பூஜை நடக்கும். அதற்கு மறுநாள் பௌர்ணமி பிரதமை அன்று மாலை 6 மணிக்கு சந்திரனின் ஒளி லிங்கத்தின் மீது படும்; அன்று சந்திர பூஜை நடக்கும். இங்கு சந்திர பகவானுக்குத் தனி சந்நிதி உள்ளது.
இங்கு தான் 63 நாயன்மார்களில் ஒருவரான அப்பூதி அடிகள் பிறந்தார். இங்குள்ள ஆலயம் கிழக்கு நோக்கி அமைந்துள்ளது என்ற போதிலும் தெற்குப் பக்க வாயிலே பிரதான வாயிலாக உள்ளது. கர்ப க்ருஹத்தில் கைலாச நாதர் கிழக்கு நோக்கி இருந்து அருள் பாலிக்கிறார். அம்மன் பெரிய நாயகி தெற்குப் பார்த்துக் காட்சி அளிக்கிறார். வெளி பிரகாரத்தில் வலம் வரும் போது விஷம் தீர்த்த விநாயகர், சுப்ரமண்யரை தரிசிக்கலாம். இன்னும் தக்ஷிணாமூர்த்தி, கஜலெக்ஷ்மி, பைரவர் உள்ளிட்ட சந்திகளும் இங்கு அமைந்துள்ளன. கோவிலுக்கு முன்பு சந்திர தீர்த்தம் அமைந்துள்ளது.
சந்திர தோஷம் உள்ளவர்கள் இங்கு நீராடி விட்டு இறைவனை தரிசிப்பது மரபு. திங்களூரில் சிறந்த சிவனடியாராகத் திகழ்ந்த அப்பூதி அடிகள் திருநாவுக்கரசர் பால் பெரும் அன்பு கொண்டவர். அவர் பெயரால் தண்ணீர்ப் பந்தல் அமைத்து அனைவருக்கும் சேவை செய்து வந்தார். ஒரு சமயம் அங்கு விஜயம் செய்த திருநாவுக்கரசர் தனது பெயர் கொண்ட தண்ணீர்ப் பந்தல், அன்னதான சாலை, மருத்துவ சாலை ஆகியனவற்றைக் கண்டு வியப்புற்று இதை அமைத்தவர் யார் என்று கேட்க அனைவரும் அப்பூதி அடிகள் பற்றிக் கூறினர். அவரது இல்லம் சென்றார் நாவுக்கரசர். அவரைக் கண்ணுற்ற அப்பூதி அடிகளார் மனம் மிக மகிழ்ந்து அவருக்கு அமுது படைக்கத் தயாரானார். வீட்டிலிருந்த தன் மூத்த மகனை அழைத்து வாழை இலை பறித்து வருமாறு அனுப்ப, அவன் வாழை இலை பறிக்கும் போது, அவனை ஒரு நாகம் தீண்டி அவன் இறந்தான். துக்கம் தாளாத அப்பூதி அடிகள் திருநாவுக்கரசருக்கு அமுது படைப்பதை நிறுத்தாது, மகனின் சவத்தை மூடி விட்டுப் பரிமாறலானார். மகனுக்குத் திருநீறு இட வேண்டும், அவன் எங்கே என்று கேட்டார் நாவுக்கரசர். அப்பூதி அடிகளார் புலம்பி அழுதார். உடனே நடந்ததை அறிந்த அப்பர் பிரான் அவனது சவம் அருகே சென்று ‘ஒன்று கொலாம்’ என்று தொடங்கும் ‘விஷம் தீர்த்த திருப்பதிகத்தைப்’ பாடினார். அவன் உடனே உயிர்த்தெழுந்தான். அனைவரும் மகிழ்ந்தனர். இந்த வரலாற்றைப் பெரிய புராணத்தில் சேக்கிழார் பெருமான் 45 பாடல்களில் மிக அழகுற விளக்குகிறார்.
இந்த ஆலயத்தில் உள் மண்டபத்தில் இடப்புறம் அப்பூதி அடிகள், அவர் மனைவியார், மகன் மூத்த திருநாவுக்கரசு, இளைய திருநாவுக்கரசு ஆகியோரின் மூர்த்தங்கள் பிரதிஷ்டை செய்யப்பட்டிருப்பதைக் கண்டு தரிசிக்கலாம்.
‘சந்த்ரமா மனஸோ ஜாத’ என்று புருஷ ஸூக்தம் போற்றும் சந்திரனே மனதிற்கு அதிபதி. இவனே உடலுக்கு காரகன். சரீர பலம் மனோ பலம் இரண்டுமே உலக வாழ்க்கையின் வெற்றிக்கு மூல பலம் ஆகும். ஜனன லக்னத்தின் படி நல்ல பலன்களை ஒரு ஜாதகத்தில் காண முடியவில்லை எனில் சந்திரனை லக்னமாகக் கொண்டு பலன்களைச் சொல்ல வேண்டும் என்று விதி உள்ளது. இதையே தான் ‘விதி கெட்டா மதியைப் பாரு’ என்ற முது மொழி உணர்த்துகிறது.
தென்கிழக்கு திசை சந்திரனுக்கு உரியது. உகந்த நிறம் வெள்ளை. மூலிகைக்கு அதிபதி சந்திரன். செல்வத்தைத் தருபவன் என்று சந்திரனை யஜுர் வேதம் புகழ்கிறது. முத்து சந்திரனுக்கு உகந்த ரத்தினமாகும். வெள்ளை குதிரை சந்திரனின் வாகனம். மலர் – வெள்ளை அரளி மலர். அதி தேவதை நீர்; ப்ரத்யதி தேவதை கௌரி. நெல்லும் பச்சரிசியும் சந்திரனுக்கு உகந்த தானியம். சமித்து – எருக்கு.
காலம் காலமாக ஆயிரக்கணக்கான பக்தர்களுக்கு அருள்பாலித்து வரும் பெரிய நாயகியும் ஸ்ரீ கைலாஸ நாதரும், சந்திர பகவானும் அனைவருக்கும் சர்வ மங்களத்தைத் தர ஞானமயம் சார்பில் பிரார்த்திக்கிறோம்.
தயிர், சங்கு பனி போன்ற வெண்மையானவன். பாற் கடலிலிருந்து தோன்றியவன். முயல் சின்னம் உடையவன். ஸோமன் என்று வேதத்தால் அழைக்கப்படுபவன். சிவனின் ஜடாமகுடத்தின் ஆபரணம். அந்த சந்திரனை நமஸ்கரிக்கிறேன்.

The Poetical Works of Tiruloka Sitaram with Translation and Notes! Santhanam Nagarajan
The book under review titled, ‘The Poetical Works of Tiruloka Sitaram with Translation and Notes’ has 55 poems of the great Tamil poet Tiruloka Sitaram duly translated in English by Sekkizhar Adi-p-podi Dr T.N.Ramachandran.
Tiruloka Sitaram was born to Lokanatha Iyer and Meenakshi Sundarammal on 1-4-1917 at a small village called Thondaimanthurai in Trichy district in Tamilnadu, India. His father passed away in his third year and his uncle brought him up. His mother tongue was Telugu. He married Rajamani aged 10 at his 19th year. He started his life as a priest. He was very much interested in Tamil literature. He went to Ramasami padayachi, a great Tamil scholar and learnt all the Tamil epics like Kamba Ramayanam and Bharatham.
He started composing his own wonderful poems. He started publishing a Tamil magazine by name India Valiban and had written articles under the nickname Mandahasan. Later on he had used his own name for all of his writings. He was very much attracted by the poems of the great Poet Subramanya Bharathi. It became his habit not to spend a day without reading or quoting at least some lines from Bharatiyar.
The bond was so deep that he assumed himself as a spiritual son of Bharathi even though he had never seen the great poet as he was passed away during 1921. He went to the house of Chellammal Bharathi, the wife of Bharathi, during her last days. Chellammal breathed her last on his lap.
As a journalist he started a magazine by name Sivaji and the poems and articles published therein attracted the Tamil world. He lived only for 56 years and breathed his last on 23-8-1973.
His famous poem Gandarva Ganam describes the dawn, the evening in powerful words. The translation goes like this: The day dawned on Pothika’s peak And ‘neath the sprint that lay a crescent Was the ragged mountain-cave Its mammoth mouth wide agape ‘Twixt whose teeth, solemn and devout Flowed the flood onto the plain. We may compare these lines with Kubla Khan of Coleridge: “.. That deep romantic chasm which slanted Down the green hill.”
The Evening comes like this: The hasting Sun rushed headlong And smote the spring with million shafts; The frothy foam vaporescent In atoms rose as wondrous bow Which he eyed in delight great, The hunting bow on shoulder slacked. Here, the line ‘frothy foam vaporescent; may be compared to Milton’s ‘When vapours fired Impress the air” This is just one example to explain how the poetic mind of Tiruloka Sitaram explores the nature.
We have fifty-five such wonderful poems duly translated in English. The book is printed beautifully in such a way that one would not put it down without reading all the poems.
The translator T.N.Ramachandran has compared many of the poems with that of Shakespeare’s and concludes “ The thoughts of Donne and Coleridge are less powerful than those of Shakespeare who however finds a match in Tiruloka Sitaram”.

விழாவில் அவர் பேசியதாவது:-
மொகலாய மன்னர் ஔரங்கசிப் காலத்தில் பலமுறை தகர்க்கப்பட்ட வாரணாசி காசி விஸ்வநாதர் கோயிலை மேம்படுத்தும் பணிகள் நிறைவு பெற்றுள்ளது. பிரதமர் மோடியால் புதுப்பிக்கப்பட்ட அந்த கோயில் திறப்பு நிகழ்ச்சியை 13ம் தேதி நாம் பார்க்கலாம்.
கேதார்நாத் கோயிலில் உள்ள ஆதி சங்கராச்சாரியாரின் சிலை, கடந்த 2013ம் ஆண்டு அப்பகுதியில் ஏற்பட்ட வெள்ளத்தால் பாதிக்கப்பட்டது. அது புதுப்பிக்கப்பட்டு பிரதமர் மோடியால் திறக்கப்பட்டது.
பல காலமாக இந்து வழிபாட்டுத் தலங்கள் அவமானப்படுத்தப்பட்டு வந்தன. அவற்றின் பெருமைகளை மீட்டு வர யாரும் முன்வரவில்லை. 2014ம் ஆண்டு முழு பெரும்பான்மையுடன் மத்தியில் பிரதமர் மோடி ஆட்சி தொடங்கியது. இழந்த பெருமைகள் மீட்கப்பட்டதுடன், தற்போது இந்து வழிபாட்டு தலங்கள் எந்தவித அச்சமுமின்றி புதுப்பிக்கப்பட்டு வருகின்றன.

கோயில்கள் என்பது வெறும் மத வழிபாட்டு மையங்களாக இல்லாமல், சமூக சேவை மையங்களாகவும் உள்ளன. வாழ்க்கையில் ஏமாற்றம் அடைந்தவர்கள் தங்கள் சிரமங்களைத் தாண்டி முன்னேறிச் செல்வதற்கான ஆற்றல் தரும் மையங்களாகவும் அவர் திகழ்கின்றன. இவ்வாறு தமது பேச்சில் மத்திய உள்துறை அமைச்சர் அமித் ஷா குறிப்பிட்டார். விஸ்வநாதர் கோவில் வளாகம்: காசியில் 13ல் பிரதமர் மோடி திறப்பு பிரதமர் மோடியின் சொந்த தொகுதியான, உத்தர பிரதேச மாநிலம் வாரணாசியில், கங்கை கரைகளுடன் விஸ்வநாதர் கோவிலை இணைக்கும் வகையில், 600 கோடி ரூபாயில் கட்டப்பட்டுள்ள விஸ்வநாதர் கோவில் வளாகத்தை, பிரதமர் மோடி வரும், 13ம் தேதி திறந்து வைக்கிறார். விஸ்வநாதர் கோவிலை, கங்கை கரைகளுடன் இணைக்கும் வகையில், 600 கோடி ரூபாய் மதிப்பிலான காசி விஸ்வநாதர் கோவில் வளாக திட்டம், 2018ல் துவக்கப்பட்டது.

தமிழ் தாய் வாழ்த்து இறைவணக்கப் பாடலே
பாடும் போது எழுந்து நிற்க வேண்டும் என எந்த உத்தரவும் இல்லை:உயர்நீதிமன்ற மதுரை கிளை கருத்து
மதுரை:சென்னையில் நடந்த விழா ஒன்றில் தமிழ்தாய் வாழ்த்து பாடப்பட்ட போது காஞ்சி விஜயேந்திர சரஸ்வதி சுவாமிகள் அமர்ந்திருந்ததாக சர்ச்சை எழுந்த நிலையில், இதுதொடர்பான வழக்கை விசாரித்த உயர்நீதிமன்றம் மதுரை கிளை, ‛தமிழ்தாய் வாழ்த்து இறை வணக்கம் பாடலே. அப்பாடல் பாடப்படும் போது எழுந்திருக்க நிற்க வேண்டும் என எந்த உத்தரவும் இல்லை,’ என குறிப்பிட்டது. சென்னை மியூசிக் அகாடமியில் 2018 ஜன., 24ல் தமிழ் சமஸ்கிருத டிக் ஷனரி வெளியீட்டு விழா நடந்தது. அப்போதைய கவர்னர் பன்வாரிலால் புரோகித் வெளியிட்டார். காஞ்சி மடாதிபதி விஜயேந்திரசரஸ்வதி சுவாமிகள் பங்கேற்றார். இவ்விழாவில் தமிழ்தாய் வாழ்த்து பாடப்பட்ட போது மடாதிபதி அமர்ந்திருந்தாக சர்ச்சை எழுந்தது.
நாம்தமிழர் கட்சி நிர்வாகி கண்.இளங்கோ தலைமையில் 12 பேர் ராமேஸ்வரம் காஞ்சி மடத்தில் செருப்புகளுடன் நுழைந்து போராட்டத்தில் ஈடுபட்டனர். அவர் மீது காஞ்சி மடத்தின் மேலாளர் போலீசில் புகார் கொடுத்தார். அதன்படி கண்.இளங்கோ மீது போலீசார் வழக்கு பதிவு செய்தனர். அந்த வழக்கை ரத்து செய்ய கோரி கண்.இளங்கோ உயர்நீதிமன்றம் மதுரை கிளையில் மனு செய்தார்.
மனுவை விசாரித்த நீதிபதி ஜி.ஆர்.சுவாமிநாதன் பிறப்பித்த உத்தரவில் கூறியதாவது: மனுதாரர் தரப்பில் நடந்த சம்பவத்திற்கு வருத்தம் தெரிவித்து மடத்தின் மேலாளரிடம் கடிதம் வழங்கப்பட்டதாக தெரிவிக்கப்பட்டது. அதை மடத்தின் மேலாளரும் நீதிமன்றத்தில் குறிப்பிட்டிருக்கிறார். இந்த விவகாரம் முடித்து வைக்கப்படுவதாக கருதுகிறேன். இந்த வழக்கில் சில விஷயங்களை குறிப்பிட வேண்டும். மனுதாரர் தமிழ் ஆர்வலரா என இந்த நீதிமன்றம் கேள்வி எழுப்பிய போது ஆம் என்றார். அவரிடம் ஐந்து திருக்குறளை தெரிவிக்க கேட்கப்பட்டது. அவரால் கற்க கசடற சொல்ல முடிந்தது. உழுதுண்டு வாழ்வாரே வாழ்வார் என்ற குறளை கூற கஷ்டப்பட்டார். இதை சுட்டிகாட்டுவதன் மூலம் மனுதாரரை சங்கடப்படுத்தவில்லை.
இருப்பினும் 1970 ஜூன் 17 ல் தமிழ்நாடு அரசு ஒரு உத்தரவு பிறப்பித்துள்ளது. அதில் அரசு துறைகள், கல்வி, உள்ளாட்சி நிறுவன விழாக்களில் தொடக்கமாக நீராருங்கடலுடுத்த என்ற தமிழ் தாய் வாழ்த்து பாடலை பாட வேண்டும் என குறிப்பிட்டுள்ளது. மேலும் இசையமைப்பாளர் எம்.எஸ்.விஸ்வநாதன் இசையமைத்த இந்த பாடலை மோகன ராகத்தில் பாடவும் சுட்டிகாட்டியுள்ளது. எனவே தமிழ்தாய்வாழ்த்து இறை வணக்க பாடல் மட்டுமே. அது கீதம் இல்லை.
மத்திய அரசின் உள்துறை 2015 ஜன., 5ல் பிறப்பித்த உத்தரவில் தேசிய கீதம் பாடும்போது பார்வையாளர்கள் எழுந்திருக்க வேண்டும் என உத்தரவிட்டுள்ளது. அதன்படி சினிமா தியேட்டர்களில் படம் திரையிடுவதற்கு முன் தேசிய கீதம் இசைக்கவும், அனைவரும் எழுந்து நிற்கவும் அறிவுறுத்தியுள்ளது. தமிழ்தாய் வாழ்த்து பாடல் இறை வணக்கம் பாடல் தான். தமிழ்தாய் வாழ்த்து பாடும் போது பார்வையாளர்கள் எழுந்திருக்க வேண்டும் என இதுவரை எந்த உத்தரவும் பிறப்பிக்கப்படவில்லை. இருப்பினும் தமிழ் தாய் வாழ்த்து பாடும் போது பார்வையாளர்கள் எழுந்து மரியாதை தருகின்றனர். சமூகத்தில் சந்நியாசிக்கு என சிறப்பு இடம் அளிக்கப்படுகிறது. அவர் தியான நிலையில் அமர்ந்திருந்தது குறிப்பிடத்தக்கது XXX

தமிழ் நாட்டிலுள்ள சிதம்பரம் உள்ளிட்ட சிவன் கோவில்களில் திருவாதிரை விழா துவங்கியது நெல்லையப்பர், செப்பறை அழகிய கூத்தர் கோயில்களில் மார்கழி திருவாதிரை திருவிழா கொடியேற்றத்துடன் 11ம் தேதி காலை தொடங்கியது. நெல்லை டவுனில் பிரசித்திபெற்ற சுவாமி நெல்லையப்பர், காந்திமதி அம்பாள் கோயிலில் மார்கழி திருவாதிரை திருவிழா ஆண்டுதோறும் 10 நாட்கள் வெகு விமரிசையாக நடைபெறும். குற்றாலம் திருக்குற்றால நாதசுவாமி திருக்கோவிலில் திருவாதிரை திருவிழா கொடியேற்றத்துடன் துவங்கியது. வரும் 15ம் தேதி தேரோட்டம் நடக்கிறது. 18ம்தேதி காலை 10 மணிக்கு மேல் சித்திர சபையில் பச்சை சாத்தி தாண்டவ தீபாராதனை நடக்கிறது. 20ம் தேதி அதிகாலை 4 மணிக்கு மேல் சித்திர சபையில் ஆருத்ரா தரிசன தாண்டவ தீபாராதனையும், 5 மணிக்கு மேல் திரிகூட மண்டபத்தில் ஆருத்ரா தரிசன தாண்டவ தீபாராதனையும் நடக்கிறது. XXXX வடபழநி ஆண்டவர் கோவிலில் ஜன.,23ல் கும்பாபிஷேகம் ‘வடபழநி ஆண்டவர் கோவிலில், திருப்பணிகள் மிக நேர்த்தியாக நடைபெற்று வருகின்றன. அதன் கும்பாபிஷேகம் ஜன., 23ம் தேதி விமர்சையாக நடத்தப்படும்,” என அமைச்சர் சேகர்பாபு தெரிவித்தார். கும்பாபிஷேகத்திற்கான திருப்பணிகள் விரைவுப்படுத்தப்பட்டன. தற்போது, திருப்பணி இறுதி கட்டத்தை எட்டியுள்ளது.

தமிழகத்தில், குறிப்பிட்ட எண்ணிக்கையிலான கோவில்களுக்கு, விரைவில் அறங்காவலர்கள் நியமிக்கப்பட உள்ளதாக, சென்னை உயர் நீதிமன்றத்தில், தமிழக அரசு தெரிவித்துள்ளது. செங்கல்பட்டு மாவட்டம், அச்சரப்பாக்கம் விஜய வரதராஜ பெருமாள் கோவிலுக்கு சொந்தமாக, பாபுராயன்பேட்டையில் உள்ள, 250 ஏக்கர் நிலத்தை, ஏலம் வாயிலாக குத்தகைக்கு விட, நவம்பர் 24ல் அறிவிப்பு வெளியிடப்பட்டது.இதை எதிர்த்து, வழக்கறிஞர் ஜெகன்நாத் என்பவர், சென்னை உயர் நீதிமன்றத்தில் வழக்கு தொடர்ந்தார். இந்த வழக்கு, தலைமை நீதிபதி எம்.என். பண்டாரி, நீதிபதி ஆதிகேசவலு அடங்கிய அமர்வு முன் விசாரணைக்கு வந்தது. அப்போது, ‘அறங்காவலர்கள் இல்லாத நிலையில், கோவில் சொத்துக்களை ஏலம் விடக் கூடாது’ என, மனுதாரர் தரப்பில் வாதிடப்பட்டது.தமிழக அரசு தரப்பில், தலைமை வழக்கறிஞர் சண்முகசுந்தரம் ஆஜராகி, ”குறிப்பிட்ட எண்ணிக்கையிலான கோவில்களுக்கு விரைவில் அறங்காவலர்கள் நியமிக்கப்படுவர்,” என தெரிவித்தார்.’ஏல நடவடிக்கைகளை தொடர அனுமதி அளிக்கப்படுகிறது; ஏலத்தை இறுதி செய்யக் கூடாது’ என நீதிபதிகள் உத்தரவிட்டனர். வழக்கு விசாரணை, டிசம்பர் 15ம் தேதிக்கு தள்ளி வைக்கப்பட்டது. ‘Tamil Thai Vazhthu’ is prayer song, not National Anthem: Madras High Court
The ‘Tamil Thai Vaazhthu’, an invocation, is only a prayer song and not a National Anthem and hence, there is no need for every one to remain in standing posture when it is rendered, the Madras High Court bench here has ruled.
Justice G R Swaminathan gave the ruling recently while quashing an FIR registered against “Nam Tamilar Katchi” (NTK) functionaries by the Remeswaram police in Ramanathapuram district, in 2018.
The then Tamil Nadu Governor Banwarilal Purohit released a Tamil-Sanskrit dictionary at a function held in Music Academy, Chennai in the presence of the Pontiff of the Kanchi Kamakoti Peetam Sri Vijayendra Saraswathi on January 24, 2018.
When the invocation song to Mother Tamil, “Tamil Thai Vaazhthu” was played, the seer remained seated .
Kan Ilango, now associated with NTK and then part of “Tamilar Desiya Munnani”, and his men entered the branch of the Kanchi Mutt in Rameswaram, shouting slogans, condemning the Shankaracharya.
They allegedly entered the Mutt premises wearing footwear. When the Mutt manager protested, he was criminally intimidated. Hence, a case was registered against them for offences under various sections of the IPC including rioting and criminal intimidation.
Hence, the present criminal original petition from Ilango, challenging the FIR. Justice Swaminathan noted that Sec. 3 of the Prevention of Insults to National Honour Act, 1971 states whoever intentionally prevents the singing of the National Anthem or causes disturbance to any assembly engaged in such singing shall be punished with imprisonment which may extend to three years, or with fine, or with both.
Allowing the petition, the Madras HC also pointed out that there is no statutory or executive order requiring the attendees to stand up when Tamil Thai Vazhthu is sung. It was not a National Anthem.
But highest reverence and respect ought to be shown to Tamil Thai Vaazhthu. It is true that the members of the audience conventionally stand up whenever Tamil Thai Vaazhthu is sung.
But the question is whether this is the only mode in which respect can be shown. When we celebrate pluralism and diversity, insisting there can be only one way of showing respect, it reeks of hypocrisy.
One should not forget that a Sanyasi occupies a special place in social and cultural life. Emperors and Kings have prostrated before Sanyasis and Fakirs.
In the epics whenever a Sanyasi entered the royal court, the King will step down from his throne and pay his respects. On becoming a Sanyasi, the person suffers a civil death.
He must be taken to have a re-birth. A Sanyasi primarily leads a life of piety. When in prayer, he is invariably found in a meditative posture. Since Tamil invocation is a prayer song, a Sanyasi is certainly justified in sitting in a state of meditation.
In the instant case, the pontiff is seen sitting in a Dhyana (meditative) posture with his eyes closed. It was his way of expressing his reverence and respect for Mother Tamil, the judge said and also set aside the case pending before the Rameswaram police station.
XXXX Hindu centres of faith were left humiliated for years, but Modi govt restoring their glory: Shah
Union Home Minister Amit Shah on Saturday said the centres of faith of the Hindu community were left humiliated for many years and nobody cared to bring back their glory until the government led by Prime Minister Narendra Modi came to power in 2014, which is now working “fearlessly” for the renovation of such sites.
He said earlier people used to be ashamed of visiting temples, but a new era began with the Modi government.
Shah was speaking here at the foundation stone laying ceremony of the Umiyadham temple, dedicated to Maa Umiya, the reigning deity of the Kadva Patidar sect.
The temple and other buildings are being built a cost of Rs 1,500 crore on 74,000 square yards of land.
“For many years, the centres of faith of the Hindu community were left humiliated, and nobody took the initiative to bring the glory back until Modi came to power at the Centre with full majority,” he said while addressing a gathering.
Shah mentioned the Kashi Vishwanath corridor project at Varanasi of Uttar Pradesh that Modi will inaugurate on December 13, and the foundation stone ceremony of Rs 150 crore Vindhyachal Corridor Project (VCP) in Mirzapur that he performed in August this year.
“Today, as the foundation stone laying ceremony of a grand temple is being performed by Arya samaji (Governor of Gujarat) Acharya Devvrat, I would like to say that Modiji has worked fearlessly and with faith and respect for the renovation of our forgotten centres of faith,” Shah said.
The PM unveiled the statue of Adi Shankaracharya and revived the centre of faith of crores of Hindus at Kedarnath temple after the region was devastated by flash floods in 2013, he added.
“We will see the renovation of Kashi Vishwanath temple at the hands of (PM) Narendrabhai on December 13 that was destroyed in the era of Aurangzeb,” he said.
According to Shah, three months ago he himself laid the foundation stone for the construction of a grand temple of Hindu Goddess Ma Vindhyavashini at Mizapur in Uttar Pradesh, as the idol of the deity was hidden in a house due to the fear of attacks by Muslim invaders.
“We have seen how earlier people would be ashamed of visiting a temple. But a new era began in the country after Narendrabhai performed ‘ganga aarti’ after rubbing the ashes of Kashi Vishwanath following an invite by the President (to form the government at the Centre),” the minister said.
Shah said temples have not just been religious centres, but they are also centres of social service and centres of energy for those disappointed with life to get over their difficulties and move ahead.
On the occasion, the BJP leader praised the Patidar community and said the history of the upliftment of Gujarat and the country is linked to the community.
He also said that other organisations should learn from the Umiya Mata temple trust, which has set up a social and scientific system, where contributions from donors from the community are used to construct temples and ensure that nobody remains deprived.
XXXX National Conference calls for return of Pandits
The minority cell of the National Conference (NC) on Saturday passed three resolutions, which among others called for return and rehabilitation of Kashmiri Pandits in the Valley and their political empowerment.
The resolutions, which also demanded passage of a bill for managing the affairs of temples and shrines of the community, were presented at the start of the day-long convention chaired by party president Farooq Abdullah here.
“The Kashmiri migrant Pandit community is yearning for their honourable return and rehabilitation for the past three decades. The issue is very important,” senior leader Anil Dhar said as he presented the “politically important” resolutions that were passed by a voice vote. Speaking to reporters here, the seer said that food is the choice of individuals and none can force it. Every community has its own food habit and the government’s job is not to force the kids to have eggs, he said.
Regarding the state government’s proposed bill against religious conversions, Pejavar seer said the religious conversions have spoiled many families and the recent incident where the entire family decided to perish in Mangaluru shows how cruel the religious conversion act is. This has to stop. If somebody is converting at will, it is acceptable. But forcible religious conversion is against social norms, he said.

The Karnataka government has announced building of Tunga Arathi mantaps in the state on the banks of Tungabhadra river, on the lines of Ganga Aarti in Kashi, at a cost of Rs 30 crore.
Karnataka Chief Minister Basavaraj Bommai made the announcement on Thursday.
Speaking after releasing the logo, audio record and T-shirt of Hara Jathre being organised by Panchamasali Gurupeetha based in Harihar, he stated that the project would be launched on January 14 and 15 as part of Hara Jathtre.

XXXX TEMPLE AUDITS ORDERED IN KARNATAKA The Karnataka government has ordered temples under its control to audit the finances after finding out that only 4 out of the 346 top category temples file the audit report every year. 34,563 temples are under Muzrai department’s control and many of them have not filed the reports for the past 10-15 years. This move comes after temple activists requested the government to audit temple finances repeatedly.
Out of the 34,563 temples under Muzrai department, 207 belong to Category-A(with annual income of Rs.25 lakhs in minimum), 139 belong to Category-B(with annual income from Rs.5 lakh to Rs.25 lakh) and 34,217 temples whose revenue is less than Rs.5 lakh belong to Category-C and are not required to audit. XXX Vellore’s Jalakandeshwar temple remains waterlogged It has been at least a couple of weeks since it stopped raining, but Jalakandeshwar temple in Vellore is still waterlogged. The temple was closed for worship 15 days ago. Though the challenge is huge considering the unprecedented rain, non-cooperation between the Central and State authorities and lack of proper communication within the State machinery has not helped matters. “In 1991 the temple was under water for almost 55 days, now we are facing a similar situation,” temple trustee Suresh Kumar. “At present, efforts are being made to drain water with pressure. Though rainwater is drained during the day, water seeps back at night.”
“The sluice gates to discharge water from the moat has not been maintained properly and encroachment of the water channel and areas surrounding the fish market is one of the major reasons for water stagnation,” he said. The temple authorities said, “The tank is huge and if water is released at the current rate, it will take a very long time to drain. We are planning to open the temple for devotees once the waterlogging issue resolves,” added the official.
Suresh Varadharajan, ASI senior conservation assistant, Vellore sub-circle told NEW INDIAN EXPRESS , “Removing encroachments and desilting is the only solution. When it rained continuously I had written a letter to the Collector asking to drain the temple tank. But works got delayed due to various reasons.”
