Hanuman birth place controversy — TTD answer to the Humpy Trust objections

It is known that TIRUPATI TIRUMALAI DEVASTHANAM co-declared with evidence on the day of Sri Ramanavami that Anjanadre in Thirumala was the birthplace of Hanuman.

The Hampi Srihanumad Janmabhoomi Tirthakshetra Trust in Karnataka  wrote a letter on the TTD statement. TTD recently replied to this letter. Hanuman was asked to send them proof of his birthplace by the 20th of this month. The TTD objected to the Himpi Trust letter, arguing that Hanuman’s birthplace had been declared with proper evidence.

To this extent the Committee in its reply added the details collected. The letter stated that they would invite discussion as the corona spread decreased. According to TTD, the birthplace of Hanuman was Anjanadre in the Tirumala hills, with mythological, oral, legislative and geographical evidence. TTD revealed that they had reached out to the idea through a devotee’s WhatsApp message and that the committee had been investigating the matter in depth for almost four months.

Acharya Muralidhara Sharma, Vice Chancellor, National Sanskrit University, announced that Anjanadevi had come to Venkatachalam in all the Puranas. It is explained that Hanuman was born to Anjanadevi who ate the fruit given by Vayu. Venkatachala Mahathyamannar Muralidhar Sharma is a wonderful book collected about the greatness of Venkateswaraswamy. TTD has ever published this book .. It is said that this Venkatachalam, the abode of Srinivas, is described in 12 Puranas.

In these myths, Venkatachalan was treated as Anjanadri. There are 20 names of this Venkatachalan. However, the spectators argue that Anjaneya was born in their area. Vishwa Hindu Parishad leaders, historians and archaeologists in Karnataka have strongly objected to the TTD statement. They say there is evidence that Hampi is the birthplace of Anjaneya. The Ramayana tells Valmiki that Rama was first introduced to Sugriva by Hanuman in this Kishkindha area near the northern coast of Hampi (Tungabhadra) on the north bank of the river.

Telangana HC orders state govt not to take hasty action over alleged encroachment of temple lands

The Telangana High Court on Saturday ordered the state government not to take any action against petitioners S Satyanarayana Reddy and four others who prayed for a direction for a halt to the inquiry into how they came in possession of lands which belonged to Sitaramaswami Temple at Devarayanajal village in Shamirpet Mandal in Medchal-Malkajgiri district.

The court, taking up the petition, expressed surprise over the haste with which the government had constituted a committee with four IAS officers to inquire into the allegations of encroachment of temple lands at a time when people were dying due to the COVID-19 second wave in the state.

The Advocate General brought to the notice of the court that it was only a preliminary inquiry and that action would be taken only after a detailed inquiry. As of now, the government had no intention of razing any structures that have come up on the lands, he said.

The court, however, asked the government to issue notices even for preliminary inquiry and, addressing those facing the allegations, asked them to cooperate with the government as it conducts the probe. The court directed the government and the Endowments department to file a detailed counter on the issue.

The state government, while ordering inquiry recently, had said that the Endowment department was claiming that 1,521 acres of land which belonged to Sitaramsway temple in Deverayanjal had been encroached upon. The government also quoted newspaper reports as stating that a large portion of land worth about Rs 1,000 crore had been occupied illegally by former minister Eatala Rajender and a few others. The IAS officers’ committee is headed by Panchayat Raj Commissioner M Raghunandan Rao.
