Number One to Ten : Sayings of the Wise

In Hindu scriptures and Puranas there are thousands of wise sayings. It is very interesting to note that the numbers were used in those sayings to emphasize the point. Here is an attempt to jot down some of the sayings from number one to ten.  There are exclusive books also available in Sanskrit, Tamil and Hindi languages for these wise sayings.

NO 1

STEP TO HEAVEN

 

There is only one way to attain Heaven.

THROUGH SATYAM – TRUTH ALONE YOU MAY ATTAIN HEAVEN

TREATMENT

 

There are two types of treatments.

MANASA = PSYCHOLOGICAL

AUSHADI – MEDICINAL

 

ANNIHILATION OF MIND

 

There are only two ways to annihilate the mind.

YOGA AND KNOWLEDGE.

These are the only two ways for the annihilation of the Mind.

‘ANUBHAVA – EXPERIENCE.

  1. BIRTH AS A HUMAN
  2. DESIRE FOR LIBERATION
  3. RESORTING TO GREAT MEN

 

RARE TYPES OF MEN

  1. PROSPEROUS YET UNCONDEMNED
  2. HEROIC YET HUMBLE
  3. LORD, YET IMPARTIAL
