Tiru Valluvar’s wife Vasuki was a chaste woman; she did miracles. So Valluvar thought all women can do miracles if they worship their husbands. Modern women laugh at Valluvar’s belief.

Couplet 55 is controversial one; Valluvar was superstitious. Modern women don’t support Valluvar. They question his statement that HUSBAND IS A SUPER GOD. WE see many more such superstition in Tirukkural. I will point it out when we take such Kurals. He thought that every woman could do miracles like his devoted wife Vasuki.
