CHRISTIAN ATROCITY AGAINST WOMEN
Christians dubbed all pagans as witches and burned them alive. Joan of Arc is the most famous woman and heroine burned alive. But until 1920s the church justified it and turned a blind eye to the problem. Only in 1920, she was made a martyr/saint. Later she became Saint Joan. Napoleon Bonaparte announced that Joan was the national symbol of France. Catholic church feared that France could also turn anti- Catholic like the Protestant Germany.
George Bernard Shaw brings out the animosity of Christian preachers against women like Joan, the Maid of Orleans.
Christians have been practising witch hunt for 2000 years. The most famous woman mathematician Hypatia was dragged down to the streets like a dog by Christian fanatics and killed violently in Egypt. The world of science knows what happened to Copernicus and Galileo.
In Christian dictionary, a witch is one who does not practise Christianity and practise another faith. Hypatia was so beautiful that she did not want to show her beauty, thinking that it would distract the students , taught maths from behind a curtain. She taught that sun is the centre of the world and all the planets are going around it. She lived in the 4th century CE in Alexandria in Egypt. 1500 years later Kepler was given credit for this Helio- centric theory. Hypatia might have got this theory from Hindus of Alexandria in Egypt. There were sizeable number of Hindu scholars and businessmen in Alexandria according to early Greek and Roman writers.
Hindus knew that the Sun was in the centre and around which earth and other planets orbited. They calculated eclipses correctly and gave the names appropriately because of this knowledge; slowest orbiting planet was given the name Sanais Charan- slow moving (Saneeswaran is a wrong word for Saturn) and named the heaviest planet Jupiter /Guru. Guru means ‘heavy’ as well one who elevates his disciple to a higher place. Latest NASA scientists’ discovery shows that planet Guru/Jupiter is not only the largest but also it has catapulting effect. A satellite can use Guru’s gravitational pull to go higher and higher without spending any fuel. Hindu Guru does the same for his dieciple!!

Joan of Arc’s burning and Hypatia’s killing show that the Witch hunt has been going on for nearly 1700 years. Christian priests authorised them. People gathered in large numbers and celebrated burning of women.
Muslim invaders killed more people who refused to convert themselves.
Greeks poisoned their opponents and the best example is Socrates.
Romans were more barbarous and killed the slaves by throwing them to wild animals like tigers and lions. A vast crowd sitting in In the huge stadium watched happily the tearing of human beings by wild animals.
Now for Americans, shooting and killing people like ducks has become a hobby. Are we progressing or regressing?
In the Atharva Veda sukta it was only a ‘ghost busting mantra’. No loss of life is reported.
Hindu children must learn all these things properly to counteract the anti -Hindu preachers.

கிறிஸ்தவ மதத்தில் நம்பிக்கை இல்லாத பெண்களை பேய்மகள் , சூன்யக்காரி என்று சொல்லி உயிருடன் எரித்துக்கொல்வதை உலகம் நன்கு அறியும் . பிரான்ஸ் நாட்டின் வீராங்கனை, பேரழகி ஜோன் ஆப் ஆ ர்க்கை (JOAN OF ARC ஆர்க் நகர ஜோன் ) உயிருடன் எரித்துக் கொன்றதால் இது உலகம் முழுதும் அம்பலமாகியது. பின்னர் போப்பாண்டவர் இதற்கு மன்னிப்புக் கேட்டுவிட்டு அவளை செயின்ட் / புனிதவதி என்று அறிவித்தார். பெர்னார்ட் ஷா எழுதிய நாடகத்தில் இந்த அநியாயத்தைக் கண்டித்தார் (பெர்னார்ட் ஷா நாடகத்தை லண்டன் சுவாமிநாதன் பி.பி.சி. தமிழோசைக்காக தமிழில் மொழிபெயர்த்துள்ளார் ).
வெள்ளைக்கார மஹா பாவிகள் இதைப் பற்றி எழுதவே மாட்டார்கள்; அது மட்டுமல்ல இது 19-ம் நூற்றாண்டு வரை நடந்தது. அப்படி பெண்களை உயிரோடு எரிக்கையில் ஊரே கூ டி நின்று வேடிக்கை பார்க்கும். கூத்தாடி மகிழ்வார்கள். அங்குள்ள சிறுவர் சிறுமியர் மனதில் அனுதாபம், பரிதாபம் தோன்றக்கூடாது என்பதற்காக அவள் சூன்யக்காரி, மந்திரத்தால் இந்த ஊரையே நாசம் செய்ய முயன்றாள் என்று வதந்தியைப் பரப்புவார்கள் . பின்னர் அவளை கயிற்றால் கட்டி, வைக்கப்போரில் வைத்து கொளுத்தி ஆடிப்பாடி மகிழ்வார்கள். இதற்கெல்லாம் முன்னின்று அனுமதி கொடுப்பவர் கிறிஸ்தவப் பாதிரி. இதே போல மதம் மாறாதவர்களை முஸ்லீம்கள் கொன்று குவித்தார்கள் . இந்த வரலாற்று உண்மை களை ஆதாரபூர்வமாக இந்துக்களுக்குக் கற்பிக்கவேண்டும்.
மாற்று மதத்தினர் இந்து மதத்தினரைத் தாக்கிப் பிரசாரம் செய்தால் இதை அச்சிட்டு அவர்கள் கைகளில் கொடுக்க வேண்டும்.

குறிப்பிட்ட அதர்வண வேத மந்திரத்தில் ஜாதவேதஸ் என்னும் அக்கினி தேவன் குறித்துப் பாடும் பாடலில் உயிர்க்கொலை எதுவுமில்லை. பேய் பிசாசுகள் மீது சாபம் மட்டுமே உளது. ஆகையால் கிரிப்பித் இது ரொம்பவும் தேவலை போல இருக்கிறதே. எங்கள் ஐரோப்பா மிகவும் மோசம் என்று சொல்லாமல் சொல்கிறார்.

கிரிப்பித் மறைத்த விஷயங்கள்
வயதான, ஆதரவற்ற, தனித்து வாழும் பெண்கள் எவருக்கும் ஐரோப்பாவில் பாதுகாப்பு இல்லை. அவர்கள் எரிக்கப்படுவார்கள். அது மட்டுமல்ல. கிறிஸ்தவ மதத்தை ஏற்காத இளம்பெண்களையும் இப்படி எரித்தார்கள். கிரிப்பித் மிகவும் சாதுர்யமாக, ஜோன் ஆப் ஆர்க் பற்றி எதுவும் சொல்லவில்லை. ஆர்லியன்ஸ் நகர பேரழகி ஜோன், 19 வயதில் சூன்யக்காரி முத்திரை குத்தப்பட்டு உயிருடன் எரிக்கப்பட்டாள் . இது 500 ஆண்டுகளுக்கு முன்னர் நடந்தது. இறுதியாக நெப்போலியன் இந்த அக்கிரமத்தைக் கண்டித்து அவளை பிரான்ஸ் நாட்டின் தேசீய சின்னம் என்றும் அறிவித்தார். இதற்கு மேலும் இந்த அநியாயத்தைக் கண்டிக்காமல் இருந்தால் பிரான்சும் ஜெர்மனி போல கத்தோலிக்க கிறிஸ்தவத்துக்கு எதிராகப் போர்க்கொடி தூக்கும் என்று கருதி 1920ம் ஆண்டில் நா ங்கள் செய்தது மஹா தப்பு; அவளை இன்று முதல் பு ண்ய ஆத்மா என்று வணங்குவோம் என்று அறிவித்தார் அப் போதைய போப்பாண்டவர்.
கிறிஸ்தவர்கள் இதை 2000 ஆண்டுகளாக செய்து வந்தனர். 1700 ஆண்டுகளுக்கு முன்னர் ஹைப்பேஷியா HYPATIA என்னும் பேரழகி எகிப்து நாட்டில் மக்களுக்கு கணிதம் சொல்லிக்கொடுத்தார். அவர் பிற்காலத்தில் கெப்ளர் KEPLER கண்டுபிடித்ததாகச் சொல்லப்படும் சூரிய சித்தாந்தத்தை 1700 ஆண்டுகளுக்கு முன்னரே சொன்னார். அவளை கிறிஸ்தவ மத விரோதி என்று முத்திரை குத்தி படுகொலை செய்தனர். கோபர்நிக்கஸ், கலீலியோ போன்ற விஞ்ஞானிகளை கிறிஸ்தவர்கள் கொடுமைப் படுத்தியதை எல்லா புஸ்தகங்களிலும் காணலாம்.
ஹைப்பேஷியா HYPATIA கொல்லப்பட்ட அ லெக்ஸ்சாண்ட்ரியா துறைமுகத்தில் இந்துக்கள் காலனி HINDU COLONY இருந்தது. இந்து வணிகர்கள் அங்கு பெரும் அளவில் இருந்தனர். ஆக , ஹைபேசியா சொன்ன புதுமை விஷயம் இந்துக்களின் கண்டுபிடிப்பே. ஏனெனில் கிரஹணம் பற்றிய தகவல்கள் 2000 ஆண்டுகளாக சங்கத் தமிழ் நூல்களிலும் அதற்கு பல்லாயிரம் ஆண்டுகளுக்கு முந்தைய ரிக் வேதத்திலும் உளது. நாம் நாள் தோறும் பார்க்கும் பஞ்சாங்கத்திலும் உளது. ஆக சூரியனைச் சுற்றித்தான் கிரகங்கள், பூமி முதலியன செல்கின்றன என்பது இந்துக்களுக்குத் தெரியும். அல்லது கிரஹணத்தை சொல்லியிருக்க முடியாது .
கிறிஸ்தவ, முஸ்லீம் படுகொலைகளை மார்க்ஸீயக் கும்பலும், வாத்திகன் ஆதரவு கும்பலும் மறைத்து வருகின்றன. இவற்றை இந்து மத சிறுவர் சிறுமியர்க்கு கற்பது மிகவும் அவசியம் ஆகும் .
இதைவிட கொடூரமான சம் பவம் கிரேக்க நாட்டிலும் இத்தாலியிலும் நடந்தன. கிரேக்க நாட்டில் அவர்களுடைய தெய்வத்துக்கு எதிராகப் பேசிய சாக்ரடீஸ் முதலியோருக்கு கட்டைப் பஞ்சாயத்து நடத்தி கட்டாய விஷம் கொடுத்துக் கொன்றனர். ரோமானிய மன்னர்கள் அசுரர்கள். ராவணன் போன்றவர்கள். அவர்கள் அடிமைகளையும் போர் எதிரிகளையும் சிங்கம் புலிகள் முன்னிலையில் தூக்கி எறிந்து சண்டை போட்டு சாகுங்கள் — என்று சொல்லி வேடிக்கை பார்த்தனர். அதை வேடிக்கை பார்க்க பிரம்மாண்டமான ஸ்டேடியம் கட்டினார்கள் ( கட்டுரையாளர் லண்டன் சாமிநாதன் இரண்டு முறை ரோம் சென்ற போதும் அந்தக் கட்டிடங்களை புகைப்படம் எடுத்து முன்னரே இங்கு வெளியிட்டுள்ளார்.)

வாரந்தோறும் திங்கள் கிழமை இந்திய நேரம் மாலை 6.30க்கு ஒளிபரப்பாகும் ஞானமயம் நிகழ்ச்சியில் 22-11-2021 அன்று ச.நாகராஜன் ஆற்றிய உரை.
எந்த நேரமும் ஞானமயம் நிகழ்ச்சிகளை யூ டியூபிலும் facebook.com/gnanamayam என்ற இணைய வழித் தொடுப்பிலும் காணலாம். இந்த உரை மூன்று பகுதிகளாகத் தரப்படுகிறது.

நாளை நவம்பர் மாதம் 23ஆம் தேதி. அவதார புருஷர் ஸ்ரீ சத்ய சாயி பாபா அவர்களின் ஜெயந்தி தினம். அதையொட்டிய இந்த உரையில் எனது அனுபவங்கள் சிலவற்றைப் பகிர்ந்து கொண்டு பிறகு பாபாவைப் பற்றிச் சொல்ல எண்ணுகிறேன்.
ஆயிரத்தி தொள்ளாயிரத்து அறுபதுகளின் முற்பகுதியில் நவம்பர் மாதம் 23 ஆம் தேதியை ஒட்டிய முன் தினமொன்றில் மதுரையிலிருந்து ஸ்ரீ சத்ய சாயி பாபாவின் பக்தர்களின் குடும்பங்கள் பல புட்டபர்த்திக்குச் செல்லத் திட்டமிட்டன. அதில் எனது குடும்பமும் ஒன்று. எனது தந்தையார் தினமணி ஸ்ரீ வெ.சந்தானம் எங்களையும் ஒரு காரில் அழைத்துச் சென்றார். மதுரையில் பெரும் வியாபாரியும் ஸ்ரீ சத்ய சாயி பாபாவின் பக்தருமான ஸ்ரீ P.S.A சுப்ரமணியம் செட்டியார் தலைமையில் LIC இல் பணி புரிந்த பெரிய அதிகாரி ஸ்ரீ K R K பட் உள்ளிட்டோர் அவரவர் காரில் சென்றோம்.
புட்டபர்த்தி அடைந்தவுடன் அங்கு ஸ்ரீ கஸ்தூரி அவர்களைச் சந்தித்தோம். அந்தக் காலத்தில் இப்போது காணும் பிரம்மாண்டமான புட்டபர்த்தி இல்லை.
பிரசாந்தி நிலையம் மிகச் சிறிய கட்டிடமாக இருந்தது. அருகே பல சிறிய வீடுகள். அதில் ஒன்றில் ஸ்ரீ கஸ்தூரி இருந்தார். அவருடன் அளவளாவி மகிழ்ந்தோம். மறு நாள் ஸ்ரீ பாபா எங்களை இண்டர்வியூவுக்கு அழைத்தார். எனது தந்தையாருக்கு தன் அங்கை அசைவில் கையை அசைத்து தனது விஸிடிங் கார்ட் ஒன்றை வரவழைத்துக் கொடுத்தார். பல அருளுரைகளையும் கூறினார்.
மிகுந்த மகிழ்ச்சி அனைவருக்கும். திரும்பி ஊர் வந்து சேர்ந்தோம். அன்று முதல் SAI ACTIVITIES சாயி சேவா தொடங்கியது.
எனது தந்தையார் ஏராளமான சாயி கீர்த்தனைகளை இயற்றினார். நேரம் காலம் இல்லை. நினைத்த போது கீர்த்தனைகள் எழும். அதை உடனே எழுதிக் கொள்வார். சங்கீத வித்வான்கள் பலரும் அதைப் பாடி மகிழ்ந்தனர். அதை சாயிபாபாவிடம் சமர்ப்பித்த போது அது ஏற்கனவே எழுதும் போதே சமர்ப்பிக்கப்பட்டு விட்டது என்றும் பதங்கள் நடனமாடி வந்திருக்கின்றன என்றும் அவர் கூறி அருளினார்.
நான் சேவா தள் அமைப்பில் சேர்ந்து வாராவாரம் மதுரை ஜெனரல் ஹாஸ்பிடல் சென்று சேவை செய்வது, அதி காலை 5 மணிக்கு நகர சங்கீர்த்தன், ஞாயிறு அன்று ஸ்டடி சர்க்கிள், கோவிலில் உழவாரப் பணி, அருகில் உள்ள கிராமங்களுக்குச் சென்று மெடிகல் கேம்ப் உள்ளிட்டவற்றில் ஈடுபட்டேன். ஏராளமான இடங்களில் பஜனை நடைபெறும். ஒவ்வொருவருக்கும் ஒரு திவ்ய அனுபவம். பல படங்களிலிருந்து விபூதி மழை பொழியும். பகவான் மதுரை விஜயம் செய்தார். அவரது பேச்சை சுத்தானந்த பாரதியார் மொழி பெயர்த்தார்.
சென்னை மாநிலத்தில் மாநில அளவிலான சேவா தள் பேச்சுப் போட்டியில் பங்கு கொண்டேன். அதில் மாநிலத்திற்கான முதல் பரிசைப் பெற்றேன்.சென்னை ஆபட்ஸ்பரியில் நடந்த விழாவில் பாபாவின் திருக்கரங்களினால் அவர் எழுதிய ராமகதா ரஸ வாஹினி நூலை -அவர் கையெழுத்திட்டுக் கொடுத்த நூலை – அவரிடமிருந்து பெறும் பெரும் பாக்கியத்தையும் பெற்றேன்.
இன்னும் பிரசாந்தி நிலைய அனுபவங்கள், மாநாடு, ஆங்காங்குள்ள ஊர்களில் ஏற்பட்ட அனுபவங்கள் என அடுத்தடுத்து ஏராளம் ஏற்படலாயின.
அவர் கலியுகத்தில் அவதரித்த மாபெரும் அவதாரம் என்பதை உணர்ந்த கோடிக் கணக்கான பக்தர்களில் அடியேனும் ஒருவனாக ஆகியதோடு மட்டுமின்றி அவரது வரலாற்றை தமிழில் அற்புத அவதாரம் ஸ்ரீ சத்ய சாயி பாபா என்ற நூலாக எழுதி டிசம்பர் 2002இல் வெளியிட்டேன். 368 பக்கங்கள் கொண்ட அந்த நூலில் அவரது பல உரைகளின் பகுதிகளும் கூட ‘அம்ருத சாகரம் என்னும் சாயி உபதேச மஞ்சரி’ என்ற இணைப்பாகத் தரப்பட்டிருந்தது. இந்த எனது முன் உரையுடன், இனி அவரது வாழ்க்கை சரிதத்திற்கு வருவோம்.
ஆந்திர மாநிலத்தில் அனந்தப்பூர் மாவட்டத்தில் தர்மாவரம் அருகே உள்ளது புட்டபர்த்தி என்னும் சிறிய கிராமம். இங்கு க்ஷத்திரிய வம்சத்தைச் சேர்ந்த ராஜு வம்சத்தினர் நெடுங்காலமாக வசித்து வந்தனர். பாரத்வாஜ கோத்திரத்தையும் ஆபஸ்தம்ப சூத்திரத்தையும் சேர்ந்த ஸ்ரீ கொண்டம ராஜு ‘ரத்னாகர’ என்ற பெயரைக் கொண்டவர். ஆகவே இவரை ரத்னாகர கொண்டமராஜு என அனைவரும் அழைப்பர். இவருடைய மனைவி லக்ஷ்மம்மா சத்ய நாராயண பூஜையைப் பயபக்தியுடன் செய்து வந்தவர். இவருக்கு இரு மகன்கள் பிறந்தனர். இவருடைய மூத்த மகனான பெத்த வெங்கமராஜு ஈஸ்வரம்மா என்பவரை மணந்தார். இந்த தம்பதியினருக்கு 1926ஆம் ஆண்டு நவம்பர் மாதம் 23ஆம் தேதி காலை எட்டு மணிக்கு திருவாதிரை நக்ஷத்திரத்தில் மூன்றாவது மகனாக அவதார புருஷர் சத்ய நாராயணன் அவதரித்தார். தன் அவதார பணியை நிறைவேற்றக் காத்திருந்த பாலகன் ,1940ஆம் ஆண்டு அக்டோபர் மாதம் இருபதாம் தேதி பள்ளிக்கூடம் நோக்கிச் சென்ற பாலகன், திரும்பி வந்து தன் புத்தகங்களை அண்ணன் வீட்டில் எறிந்து விட்டு, “என் பக்தர்கள் என்னை அழைக்கின்றனர். நான் கிளம்பி விட்டேன்” என்றார்.
அன்று தனது பக்தரான கலால் இன்ஸ்பெக்டரின் வீட்டிற்குச் சென்றார். அங்கு வீட்டைச் சுற்றி இருந்த மாந்தோப்பில் ஒரு கல்லின் மீது அமர்ந்து,
“மானஸ பஜரே குரு சரணம், துஸ்தர பவ சாகர தரணம்” என்று பாடி தனது முதல் உபதேசத்தை ஆரம்பித்தார்.

I wrote about our first meeting with Swamiji Krishna with my dad , elder brother and Indian Express manager Mr J S M. Another thing also happened in the very first meeting. He looked at me and said,
Sama is very intelligent (All Swaminathans of Thanjavur District are called Sama in abbreviated form)
I was very upsent and angry. I thought how dare this man calls ‘me only’ intelligent when I am standing along with my elder brother. Immediately Swamiji said,
Sama is very angry because I did not praise his elder brother. Then he said good things about him as well.
Swamiji always ask people like us to prostrate before his mother first and then only he would accept ur Namaskarams to him. Probably this is to teach every one should respect his or her mother . We see such things with Sathya Sai Baba’s mother Eswaramba, Lord Krishna’s mother Devaki even his foster mother cowherdess Yasotha. We sing their glory even today in Bhajans. It is one way of teaching everyone that Mother comes first.

Once I was asked to come to Tenkasi all alone so that I can accompany him to Chenganoor, Ariyankavu and Kulathupuzai. My famliy was very hesitant and scared. There was no mobile phone in those days. Unless Swamiji’s car picks me up and then go to a PCO (public call office) they can’t contact my family.
With 100 ++++ instructions from my father where to sit in the train, what I should not do on the train, how people can easily cheat me etc. I was packed into a train. Somehow I reached Tenkasi by an express train in 3 or 4 hours. The car was waiting for me. Then they informed my family. A great ‘daring’ trip! I was a hero in front of my family!
My eldest brother was studying at PACR Polytechnic in Rajapalayam. He belongs to the first batch in the institution. He was also given such instructions before me! So, I was not the first victim.
In course of time, Swamiji asked me not to continue my friendship with a particular boy. I asked Swamiji How do I know what boy you are talking about. Because in those days there was no fear for any one’s life. No parent worried about their children going out. At 4 pm the school is finished. At 5 pm every child , boy or girl, is out of their house. Boys never return home until 11 pm in the night. For a brief period, one would run home just for one’s dinner and then join 101 different games, all on the road. I had scores of friends.
So when I asked Which friend? He asked me to say the names of friends one by one . I reeled out the long list. At one name, he said STOP. He is the one I meant. I know he is not a good boy, but he did not do any bad thing to me. Any way I followed Swamiji’s words in letter and spirit.
By the way, I would tell you the world that existed 65 years ago when I was an elementary school boy. Joseph Tito, President of Yugoslavia visited Madurai with the Prime Minister of India Jawaharlal Nehru. Both of them were part of Non Aligned Movement. We , children were given national flags of the countries and asked to wave when the motorcade pass by. We did it standing along North Masi Street where my Yadavas School was situated. Both the leaders were at our arm’s length. They used to stop and wave back to us. They accepted garlands from congress party people. Very rarely you see police presence. Nowadays even to see Goddess Meenakshi in the world-famous temple, I have to deposit my mobile phone and pass through electronic gate like airport security. Are we progressing or regressing? Deteriorating?
Once RSS leader Guruiji Golwalkar referred to US and said America is a decaying nation, in one of his lectures in Tamil Nadu. Though I was a staunch supporter of RSS, I did not like his remarks. But now I feel his words are true. If you look at the mindset of America, you could see what they do to get petrol. Just for petrol they are ready to bomb any country and kill any political leader who refuse to give them petroleum. We have heard about drug addict, alcohol addict but not about petrol addict and gun addicts. Their hobby is gun fight like Western Movies.
Sorry that my train derailed; let me put it back on the rails again. So Swamiji did lot of little, little miracles like this. Once my father wanted to go to Palani to deliver a talk and listen to some friend’s concert. By the way Swamiji was a great lover of music; I think Sowdiah and others used to play violin before him. When my father returned next day, he said that the singer had sore throat and the concert was a flop. My father was wonder struck. How did you know this Swamiji? Have you met anyone else who returned from last night concert? Asked my father.
He smiled and said I was there listening to him for a while. So one can travel by thought. He used to predict anyone’s future just by looking at him.
Same time another strange thing happened. My father was the one who publish Madurai Dinamani. In that paper one news item crept in without his knowledge. A person named Mr Sathanam ( my father’s name) was electrocuted (to death???) in Palani last noght! My father was joking Yama might have gone to the wrong address ,so I escaped!
Swamiji With Kanchi Paramacharya
Or Did Swamiji play any miracle by visiting Palani on that day?? Who knows it? Co incidence or Miracle?
But Swamijis can do it. We know the most famous anecdote of Kanchi Paramacharya. Famous singer MS Subbulakshmi took leave of Shankaracharya and was about to leave. Shnakaracharya said ‘stay tonight in Kanchipuram; go tomorrow. She was greatly annoyed because of her other concerts already booked. Next day, whole of India was talking about the worst railway accident in the history. Ariyalur Train accident. Entire train went into river with all the passengers while it was passing through the flooded Kaveri River bridge. So in some cases Swamjis can stop one dying ; they do it very rarely. Lal Bahadur Shastri, then railway minister, later prime minister of India resigned his post immediately taking moral responsibility for the worst accident.
I will write about the miserable deaths of Jayalalitha, LTTE Prabhakaran , Michael Jackson, Mrs Indira Gandhi, Premadasa etc and how Sadhu Sanyasins knew them beforehand. It is not part of my autobiography. So I will do it separately.

Back to Swamiji
This is about my father supporting a sinner in Madurai. He took him to Achankoil Pushpanchali Festival. We also went to the Dharma Sastha/Ayyappa Temple at that time.
(Do you want a titbit here? More than Dharma sastha’s Pushpanchali, we brothers, praised the food they served at the end; till this day we remember the food but not Lord Ayyappa!!! We talk and talk about it whenever Achan koil is mentioned)
The sinner was contesting a Ward in a local body election. After the Pushpanchali and a good meal, we took leave of Swamiji. My father introduced that gentleman to Swamiji. Every time he was introduced, Swamiji deliberately turned away his face. My father did not take it as an insult, but thought the person is going to be defeated. After two failed attempts my dad tried again to open the subject of electoral contest by showing him. This time Swamiji listened and then said, ‘I will pray to Ganapathi’.
In general Sadhu Sanyasins have different wordings to convey different messages. Those who are always with a Swamiji only would know the gradation in blessings. ‘I will pray for you’ means it is difficult to succeed. My father got worried because our entire family was canvassing for him for nothing. Utter stupidity: we know his loose morals but to enjoy his jokes we sued to go to his house. A rich guy. I wouldn’t say how he became rich. Then any Maduraiwalla would easily identify him. My father calculated and said to him that he would win by 65 votes. Because we know all the Brahmin voters there and their split between Rajaji’s Swatantra Party and this guy’s congress party. As predicted by my father he won by 65 votes, a very thin majority. My father did it by sheer calculation, nothing to do with miracle.
Months later we met Swamiji somewhere on another occasion. He himself opened the topic of ‘Sinner Introduction’.
Santhanam (my father) brought a bad guy and asked me to bless him. I couldn’t. Santhanam never asked me any favour for his own family. But he asked please bless this guy for victory. Ganapthi (Lord Ganesh) refused it. I had to fight with Ganapathi for his victory.
This incident and MS ‘s escape from the worst Railway accident show that Gurus can change the fate of someone who they like.
Actually Swamiji’s would not interfere in everyone’s destiny. They want you to suffer so that your sins disappear. It is like you repay your debts. I was visiting Hindu Prisoners in England Jails. In one of the prisons, I was surprised to read in the Hindu Prison Manual that the prisoners are punished so that their sins are cured or spent. Once they are out of Prison, he or she is a sinless person.

கிராமப் புறங்களில் அதிகாலை நேரத்தில் எழுந்திருப்போ ருக்கு இயற்கை அன்னை எவ்வளவு அழகானவள் என்பது தெரியும். பூமியைப் பற்றி அற்புதமான ஒரு சூக்தம்/ பாடல், அதர்வண வேதத்தில் உள்ளது எல்லோருக்கும் தெரியும். பல்லாயிரம் ஆண்டுகளுக்கு முன்னரே இப்படி ஒரு அற்புதமான வருணனை செய்தவர்கள் வேத கால ரிஷி முனிவர்கள் ஆவர். இதே போல ரிக்வேதம் முழுதும் உஷஸ் என்னும் அதி காலைப் பொழுதின் அற்புத வருணனை காணப்படுகிறது இதை மட்டும் கவனித்த வெளிநாட்டினர் மேலும் பல அற்புதக் காட்சிகளை நமக்கு எடுத்துச் சொல்லவில்லை. காட்டுத் தீ ஏற்பட்டால் என்ன நிகழும், மழை யும் புயற்காற்றும் சேர்ந்து அடித்தால் என்ன நிகழும், பெரிய மிருகங்களை விழுங்கும் மலைப்பாம்புகள், கானக தேவதை இரவில் எப்படி பயமில்லாமல் அங்கேயே இரவில் வசிக்கிறாள் , உயர ப்பறக்கும் கழுகுகள் — இப்படி நிறைய காட்சிகள் வேதங்களில் இருக்கின்றன.
பாரதியார் வேதத்தை நன்கு அறிந்தவர். அவருடைய மழை , புயற்காற்றுப் பாடல்களிலும் இதைக் காணலாம். மலைபடு கடாம் போன்ற சங்க கால நூல்களிலும் அதற்குப் பின்னர் எழுந் த சிலப்பதிகாரத்திலும் இப்படி நிறைய இயற்கைக் காட்சிகள் உளது
இங்கே ஒரே ஒரு அதர்வண வேத மழைப் பாடலைக் காண்போம். குறைந்தது 3000 ஆண்டுகளுக்கு முன்னர் உருவான இந்த வேதத்தில் உள்ள விஷயங்கள் அப்படியே அண்மைக்காலத்தில் எழுந்த முக்கூடற் பள்ளுவிலும் பாரதியார் பாடல்களிலும் இருப்பதை ஒப்பிட்டு மகிழலாம்.

அதர்வண வேதம் – காண்டம் 4- பாடல் 15 (சூக்தம் 117- மழை )
1. மழை மேகங்களே ஒன்று சேருங்கள் ; காற்று வீசி உங்களை வேகமாக அனுப்பட்டும் ;காளை போல முழங்குங்கள்; பூமியில் கொட்டி அதைத் திருப்தி செய்யுங்கள் .
2.மருத் தேவர்களின் வேகத்தையும் , தாராள குணத்தையும் காட்டட்டும்; மழைத் தாரைகள் இந்த பூமிக்கு மகிழ்ச்சி ஊட்டட்டும்; புவியெங்கும் பல்வேறு வர்ணங்களிலும், பல்வேறு வடிவங்களிலும் தாவரங்கள் முளைக்கட்டும் .
3.பாடல் பாடும் எங்களுக்கு இந்தக் காட்சிகளைக் காட்டு. எங்கும் பிரவாகம் எடுக்கட்டும். (மீண்டும் சென்ற பாடலின் கடைசி வரி.) புவியெங்கும் பல்வேறு வர்ணங்களிலும், பல்வேறு வடிவங்களிலும் தாவரங்கள் முளைக்கட்டும் .
4.பர்ஜன்யனே ! மருத் கணங்கள் / காற்று தேவனின் படைகள் கர்ஜித்து சங்கீதத்தை அதிகரிக்கட்டும். கொட்டும் மழை பூமியில் பொழியட்டும்
5.மருத் தேவர்களே ! சமுத்திரத்தினின்று உங்கள் சக்தியால் உயர்த்துங்கள் ; மேகங்கள், காளை மாடுகள் போல கர்ஜித்து பூமியில் மலை பெய்யட்டும்
6.கர்ஜனை செய்; இடி முழக்கம் செய்; கடலை க் கலக்கு; பர்ஜன்யனே (மழைக் கடவுளே) இந்த பூமியை
தேன் மழையால் நனை ; ஒல்லியான மெலிந்த பசு , வீட்டிற்குப் போகட்டும்,
7.ஊற்றுகளும் பூமியில் வாழும் பாம்புகளும் உங்களைக் காக்கட்டும் . மருத் என்னும் காற்று தேவர்கள் உண்டாக்கும் மழை பூமியில் பொழியட்டும்.
8.ஒவ்வொரு திசையிலும் மின்னல் மின்னட்டும்;; எல்லா திசையிலும் காற்று வீசட்டும் .மருத் என்னும் காற்று தேவர்கள் உண்டாக்கும் மழை பூமியில் பொழியட்டும்.
9.தண்ணீரும், மின்னலும், மேகங்களும் மழையும் பாம்புகளும் உங்களைக் காக்கட்டும்.;மருத் என்னும் காற்று தேவர்கள் உண்டாக்கும் மழை பூமியில் பொழியட்டும்.
10. அக்கினி தேவன் , தாவரங்களுக்கு அதிபதி ; அவன் தண்ணீருக்குகுள் வசிக்கிறான் அந்த ஜாதவேதஸ், வானிலிருந்து மழை , அமிர்தம், நல்ல காற்றை அளிப்பானாக (திருக்குறளில் வானிலிருந்து வரும் நீரை அமிர்தம் என்று வள்ளு வர் சொல்லுவது ஒப்பிடத்தக்கது)
11.பிரஜாபதியானவன் கடலைப் பொங்கச் செய்யட்டும் ; குதிரையின் உயிர் அணுக்கள் இடி முழக்கத்துடன் பூமியில் விழட்டும்
12.அசுர சக்தியுடைய எங்கள் தந்தை, மழையை கொட்டித் தீர்க்கட்டும். வருண தேவனே நீர்ச் சூழல்களை உண்டாக்கு ; கால்வாய்கள், சிற்றோடைகளில் நீர் பெருக்கெடுக்கட்டும். தவளைகள் அதில் அழகிய கைகளுடன் நீந்தி குரல் எழுப்பட்டும்
பெண் தவளையே அதனுடன் பேசு; தாதுரியே , நான்கு காலையும் விரித்து நீந்து, குரல் எழுப்பு.
15. ஏ கணவக்கா ! ஏ கைமக்கா ! தாதுரியே ! நீ நடுவில் இருக்கிறாய். பித்ருக்களே ! மழையை அனுபவித்து மகிழுங்கள்.மருத்துக்களின் உள்ளத்தை வெல்லுங்கள் .
16. பெரிய தொட்டியை மேலே உயர்த்திக் கொட்டுங்கள். எங்களை சுற்றி காற்று வீசட்டும்; மின்னல் மின்னட்டும். யாக யக்ஞங்கள் பெருகட்டும்; தாவரங்கள் மகிழ்ச்சியுடன் விளங்கட்டும்.

தமிழ்ப் பாடல்களில் காணும் தவளை, மின்னல், இடி, வெள்ளம் எல்லாம் மேற்கூறிய 16 மந்திரங்களில் இருக்கின்றன . ஆயினும் கடைசியில் கண்வக்கா , கைமகா, தாதுரீ என்ற தவளைப் பெயர்கள் விநோதமானவை. இதற் கு அர்த்தம் தெரியவில்லை.
மேலும் அசுர வருணன் என்பது நல்ல பொருளிலும் ‘அசுரர்’ என்ற சொல் பயப்படுத்தப் படுவதைக் காட்டுகிறது.
தமிழ்ப் பாடலில் இல்லாத பாம்புகளையும் இதில் காண்கிறோம். அவைகள் உங்களைக் காக்கட்டும் என்பது ஒரு வேலை உங்களைக் கடிக்காமல் இருக்கட்டும் என்ற பொருளில் வந்திருக்கலாம் . மழைக் காலத்தில் பாம்புகள் வெளியே வருவது இயற்கை. வெள்ளமும் அவைகளை அ டித்துக் கொண்டு வரும்
இவை எல்லா மொழி படலக்ளுக்கும் முந்தியவை என்பதால் இன்னும் சிற்ப்புடையன.
ஏழாவது மந்திரத்தில் ‘அஜகரா’ என்று மலைப் பாம்பை குறிப்பிடுகிறார் ரிஷி. இதன் பொருள் ஆட்டை விழுங்கும் மலைப் பாம்பு என்பதாகும்; சங்கத் தமிழ் இலக்கியம் யானையை விழுங்கும் மலைப்பாம்பு பற்றிப் பாடுகிறது
வெப்ப சக்தி தாவரங்களின் வளர்ச்சிக்கு உதவும் , கடல் மூலம் மழை உண்டாகின்றது, மழை பெய்வதால் புதிய தாவரங்களும் உருவாகும்– ஆகிய விஞ்ஞான உண்மைகளும் இருக்கின்றன. மேல் உலகத்திலிருந்து உயிரின ங்கள் வருகின்றன என்ற நம்பிக்கை பல இன மக்களிடையே உண்டு. இதை ஓரளவு அறிவியல் ஒப்புக்கொள்கிறது. காற்று மூ லம் பலவகை விதைகள் பரவுவது மட்டுமின்றி விண்கல் மூலமும் உயிர் மூலக்கூறுகள் வருவதை இப்போது விஞ்ஞானம் கண்டுபிடித்துள்ளது. இதை ‘குதிரைகளின் விந்து’ என்ற மறைமுக பாஷையில் முனிவர் பாடுகிறார்
பிராமணர்களின் மவுன விரதத்துக்கும் தவளைகளுக்கும் உள்ள ஒற்றுமையை ரிக் வேதத்தில் வசிட்டரும் பாடியுள்ளார். ஒருவேளை பிராமணர்கள் ஆண்டுதோறும் மழைக்காலத் துவக்கத்தில் வேதாரம்பம் என்று மீண்டும் துவங்குவதை இது குறிக்கலாம்.
வண்ண வண்ண தாவரங்களும் பலவகை மூலிகைகளும் வளரட்டும் என்று முனிவர் பாடுவதும் அவைகள் இன்பமாக வாழட்டும் என்ற கடைசி மந்திரமும் நமக்கு “வாடிய பயிரைக் கண்ட போதெல்லாம் வாடினேன்” என்ற வள்ளலார் பெருமான் பாடலை நினைவு படுத்தும். அதுமட்டுமல்ல விபூதி பூஷன் வ ந்தோ பாத்தியாய எழுதிய வனவாசி (வங்காளி மொழியில் ஆரண்யக் ) நாவலைப் படித்தோருக்கு யுகல் பிரசாத் என்னும் இளைஞன் காட்டில் ஒவ்வொரு இடத்திலும் அழகிய தாவர விதைகளை விதைத்துவிட்டு, ஓராண்டுக்குப் பின்னர் அதே இடத் திற்குச் சென்று அவை பூத்திருப்பதைக் கண்டு மகிழும் காட்சிகளும் நம் மனக்கண் முந் வரும் ;
இதைத் தமிழர்களும் ரசித்தனர் என்பது பள்ளர் பாடும் பள்ளுப் பாட்டு, சிலப்பதிகார வையை, காவிரி நதி வருணனைகள்; மலைபபடு கடாம் போன்ற சங்க இலக்கியத்தில் வரும் FOREST ORCHESTRA கானக ஆர்கெஸ்டரா , பாரதியாரின் இயற்கை வருணனை ஆகியவற்றைப் படித்து மகிழ்ந்தோருக்கு நன்கு விளங்கும்

ஆலயம் அறிவோம் தொடரில் இன்று நமது யாத்திரையில் இடம் பெறுவது சென்னை நகரின் தென் பகுதியில் அமைந்துள்ளதும் ஆதி கவியான வால்மீகி பெரும் தவத்தை இயற்றிய தலமுமான திருவான்மியூர் திருத்தலம் ஆகும். இங்கு தான மருந்தீஸ்வரர் சிவாலயம் அமைந்துள்ளது.
இங்கு ஸ்வயம்பு லிங்கமாக அமைந்துள்ள இறைவனின் திருநாமம் : ஸ்ரீ மருந்தீஸ்வரர் அல்லது பால்வண்ண நாதர்
அம்மன் : திரிபுரசுந்தரி, சொக்க நாயகி
ஸ்தல வ்ருக்ஷம் : வன்னி மரம்
தீர்த்தம் : சிவபிரானின் சடையிலிருந்த கங்கையிலிருந்து சிந்திய ஐந்து துளிகள் இங்கு ஐந்து தீர்த்தங்களாக உருவெடுத்துள்ளன. ஆலயத்தின் கிழக்குக் கோபுரத்திற்கு அருகே சித்திரை குளம் என்ற இந்திரனுக்கு நற்கதி அளித்த புனலையும் காணலாம்.
இத்தலத்தைப் பற்றிய புராண வரலாறு பிரசித்தி பெற்ற ஒன்று. ஒரு சமயம் காமதேனு வசிஷ்ட மஹரிஷியிடம் சற்று அவமரியாதையாக நடந்து கொண்டது. அதனால் கோபம் கொண்ட வசிஷ்டர், “நீ பூலோகத்தில் பசுவாகப் பிறப்பாயாக” என்று சாபமிட்டார்.தன் தவறை உணர்ந்து வருந்திய காமதேனு சாப விமோசனம் அருளுமாறு வசிஷ்டரை வணங்கிக் கேட்க, அவர், “திருவான்மியூரில் எழுந்தருளியுள்ள மருந்தீஸ்வரரை வணங்கி அவருக்குத் தினமும் பால் அபிஷேகம் செய்து வா, உனக்கு சாப விமோசனம் ஏற்படும்” என்றார். அதன்படியே காமதேனுவும் தினமும் சிவலிங்கத்தின் மீது பாலாய்ப் பொழிந்து அபிஷேகம் செய்து வந்தது. சாப விமோசனமும் பெற்றது. பால் பொழிவினால் வெண்மையாக லிங்கம் காட்சி அளிக்க அவர் பால்வண்ன நாதர் என்ற பெயரைப் பெற்றார். மூலவர் சுமார் ஒன்றரை அடி உயரத்துடன் சற்றே சாய்ந்த தோற்றத்துடன் காட்சி அளிக்கிறார். வேட்டையாட வந்த சதயூ மன்னனிடமிருந்து தப்பிச் சென்ற காமதேனுவின் குளம்புகள் ஈசனின் மீது பட்டது. அந்த வடுவை இன்றும் ஈசனிடம் காணலாம்.
இத்தலம் பற்றிய இன்னொரு புராண வரலாறும் உண்டு.
கயிலை மலையில் சிவ பார்வதி திருமணம் நடக்கும் போது அனைவரும் அங்கு கூடவே வடபுலம் தாழ்ந்து தென்புலம் உயர்ந்தது. உடனே அதை சமன் செய்ய தென்புலம் செல்லுமாறு ஈசன் அகத்தியரிடம் கூறவே அகத்தியரும் தென் புலம் வந்தார். அவருக்குத் தனது கல்யாண கோலத்தை இங்கு வன்னி மரத்தடியில் ஈசன் காட்சி அளித்தார். அத்துடன் அகஸ்திய மஹரிஷிக்கு இறைவன் உலகில் உள்ள அனைத்து வகையான நோய்களைப் பற்றியும் அதைத் தீர்ப்பதற்கான மூலிகைகள் மற்றும் மருந்துகள் பற்றியும் கூறி அருள் பாலித்தார். ஆகவே தான் இங்குள்ள இறைவன் மருந்தீஸ்வரர் என்று அழைக்கப்படுகிறார்.
ஆதி காவியமான ராமாயணத்தை இயற்றிய வால்மீகி மஹரிஷி நாரதரிடம் முக்திப் பேறுக்கான வழி கேட்க அவர் இங்கு வந்து அவரைத் தவம் புரியச் சொன்னார். அவருக்கும் வன்னி மரத்தடியில் ஈசன் தரிசனம் தந்து அருள் பாலித்தார். இன்னொரு தகவலின் படி மார்க்கண்டேய மஹரிஷி வால்மீகி முனிவரை எங்கு அவர் இறைவனின் அசரீரியைக் கேட்கிறாரோ அங்கு அவருக்கு முக்தி கிடைக்கும் என்று சொல்ல வால்மீகி மஹரிஷி இங்கு வரும் போது அவருக்கு “நான் இங்கு உள்ளேன்” என்ற அசரீரி கேட்கவே இங்கேயே அவர் தவம் புரிந்து முக்தி அடைந்தார். அவரது பெயரால் இந்த இடம் திரு வால்மீகிநகர் என்று ஆனது. காலப்போக்கில் மருவி திருவான்மியூர் ஆயிற்று.
ஒரு முறை சூரிய பகவானுக்குப் பல அசுரர்கள் தொல்லை தரவே அவரால் தனது பணியைச் சரிவரச் செய்ய முடியவில்லை. ஆகவே அவரே நேராக இங்கு வந்து ஈஸ்வரனைத் துதிக்க அவரது தொல்லை ஒரு முடிவுக்கு வந்தது. அவர் மாலை நேரத்தில் தொழுவதற்கு வசதியாகவே இங்குள்ள லிங்கம் மேற்குப் பார்த்து இருப்பதாக ஐதீகம்.
சுமார் ஒரு ஏக்கர் பரப்பில் அமைந்துள்ளது இந்த பிரம்மாண்டமான கோவில். ஆலயத்தின் கிழக்கில் ஏழு நிலை இராஜகோபுரமும் அதையடுத்து 5 நிலை கோபுரமும் மேற்கில் 5 நிலை கோபுரமும் உள்ள இந்தத் திருக்கோவிலில் பக்தர்கள் நெடுஞ்சாலையைப் பார்த்து அமைந்துள்ள மேற்கு வாயில் வழியே உள்ளே செல்கின்றனர். கிழக்கு கோபுரத்தின் வழியாக உள்ளே சென்றவுடன் வலது புறத்தில் பிரசித்தி பெற்ற 36 தூண்கள் கொண்டுள்ள தியாகராஜ மண்டபம் உள்ளது. இங்கு தியாகராஜர் பத்ர பீடத்தில் அமர்ந்து தரிசனம் தருகிறார். கிழக்கு வெளிப் பிரகாரத்தில் வலது புறம் திரிபுரசுந்தரி தனி சந்நிதியில் தெற்கு நோக்கி நான்கு கரங்களுடன் காட்சி தந்து அருள் பாலிக்கிறார். அவரது இரு கரங்கள் அங்குச பாசங்களை ஏந்தியுள்ளன. மற்ற இரு கரங்கள் அபய முத்திரைகளைப் பெற்றுள்ளன. கிழக்கு வெளி பிரகாரத்தில் விநாயகர், சுப்ரமண்யர் சந்நிதிகள் உள்ளன.நாயன்மார்கள்,தொகையடியார்கள் நம்பியாண்டார் நம்பி, சேக்கிழார் உள்ளிட்ட பலரையும் இங்கு தரிசித்து வணங்கலாம்.
இத்தலத்தில் திருஞானசம்பந்தர் இரு பதிகங்களையும் அப்பர் பிரான் ஒரு பதிகத்தையும் பாடி அருளியுள்ளனர். அருணகிரிநாதர் ஒரு திருப்புகழ் பாடலைப் பாடியுள்ளார். திருவான்மியூர் தல புராணம் இத்தலம் பற்றிய ஏராளமான திவ்ய வரலாறுகளை எடுத்துரைக்கிறது.

ஓசோனைக் காப்போம்!

ஓசோன் படலம் (OZONE LAYER) என்பது பூமி வாழ் உயிரினத்தைக் காக்கும் படலமாகும். ஓசோன் என்றால் என்ன? அதைக் காப்பதற்கு நாம் ஏன் முக்கியத்துவம் கொடுக்க வேண்டும்? ஓசோன் என்பது மூன்று ஆக்ஸிஜன் அணுக்கள் சேர்ந்த மூலக்கூறு (O3) ஆகும். பூமியிலிருந்து 15லிருந்து 35 கிலோமீட்டர் உயரத்தில் வளி மண்டலத்தில் அடர்த்தியாக உள்ள பெரிய பரப்பாகும். இது வெளிர் நீல நிறமுள்ள நிலைத்தன்மையற்ற வாயு ஆகும்.
சூரியனிலிருந்து வரும் அல்ட்ரா வயலட் ரேஸ் (Ultra Violet Rays) எனப்படும் புற ஊதாக் கதிர்கள் மூலம் பூமிக்கு ஏற்படும் ஆபத்தை இந்த ஓசோன் படலம் தடுத்து நிறுத்துகிறது. புற ஊதாக் கதிர்கள் பூமியில் விழுமானால் அனைத்து உயிரினமும் அழிந்துபடும். ஆகவே இந்த ஓசோன் படலத்தைக் காப்பாற்றுவது மனித குலத்தின் இன்றியமையாத கடமை ஆகிறது.
நாம் அன்றாட வாழ்வில் பயன்படுத்தும் ஸ்பிரே வேதிப் பொருள்கள், குளிர்சாதனப் பெட்டியிலிருந்து வரும் குளோரோ புளுரோ கார்பன்கள், பிளாஸ்டிக் நுரையிலிருந்து வரும் வேதிப் பொருள்கள் ஆகிய இவை அனைத்தும் மெதுவாக மேலே வானத்தில் சென்று புற ஊதாக் கதிர்களில் பட்டு உடைகிறது. குறிப்பாக குளோரோ புளோரோ கார்பன்கள் புற உதாக் கதிர்கள் மூலம் உடைக்கப்படும் போது ஒரு குளோரின் அணு உருவாகிறது. இந்த ஒரு அணு மட்டும் சுமார் ஒரு லட்சம் ஆக்ஸிஜன் மூலக்கூறுகளை நாசமாக்குகிறது. ஆகவே வளி மண்டலத்தில் ஓசோன் அடர்த்தி குறைந்துவிட்டது.
இந்த அடர்த்தி குறையவே புற ஊதாக் கதிர்கள் பூமியில் இப்போது விழ ஆரம்பித்து விட்டன. இதனால் தோல் புற்று நோய், கண்ணில் புரை ஆகியவை உருவாவதோடு உடலில் உள்ள எதிர்ப்பு சக்தியும் குறைவு படுகிறது. தொழிற்சாலைகளிலிருந்து வெளிப்படும் குளோரின், புரோமின் போன்ற அணுக்களே ஓசோன் அழிவதற்கான காரணம் ஆகும்.
1995ஆம் ஆண்டு இரசாயனத்தில் – வேதியியலில் – நோபல் பரிசு பெற்ற ஷெர்வுட் ரோலெண்ட், பால் க்ரட்சன், மரியா மொலினா (Sherwood Rowland, Paul Crutzen and Mario Molina) போன்றவர்கள் கூட இது பற்றிய மர்மம் விளங்க மேலும் ஆராய்ச்சி தேவை என்கின்றனர்.
ஆகவே தொழிற்சாலை நச்சுக் கழிவுகளையும், லக்ஷக்கணக்கான வாகனங்கள் வெளியேற்றும் நச்சுப் புகையையும் தடுத்து நிறுத்துவது இன்றைய அவசர, அவசிய தேவையாகிறது. இது மட்டுமின்றி இந்தப் பேராபத்தால் உணவு உற்பத்தி குறையும் நிலை ஏற்படுகிறது. மிருகங்களுக்கும் தாவரங்களுக்கும் ஆபத்து ஏற்படுகிறது. அதாவது சுருக்கமாகச் சொல்லப் போனால் சுற்றுப்புறச் சூழலே மாசுபட்டு கெடுகிறது.
ஆகவே 1985இல் வியன்னா கருத்தரங்கிலும், (Vienna Convention) தொடர்ந்து 1987இல் உருவாக்கப்பட்ட மாண்ட்ரீல் நெறிமுறையிலும் (Montreal Protocol) நம்மைக் காக்கும் ஓசோன் படலத்தை நாம் காக்க பல வழிமுறைகள் வகுக்கப்பட்டன. 198 நாடுகள் ஒப்புக் கொண்ட இந்த நடைமுறையின் அடிப்படைக் கருத்து குளோரோ புளோரோ கார்பன் நச்சுக் கழிவை நிறுத்த வேண்டும் என்பதே ஆகும்.

திருவண்ணாமலை அருணாசலேஸ்வரர் கோவில் தீபத் திருவிழாவின் சிகர நிகழ்ச்சியான மகா தீபம் நவம்பர் 19ம் தேதி வெள்ளிக்கிழமை மாலையில் கோவில் பின்புறம் உள்ள 2,668 அடி உயரமுள்ள மலையின் உச்சியில் ஏற்றப்பட்டது.
மகாதீபம் ஏற்றுவதற்கு தூய செம்பினால் செய்யப்பட்ட தீப கொப்பரை பயன்படுத்தப்பட்டது. தீப கொப்பரை, தீபத்திற்கு தேவையான நெய், திரி ஆகியவை கோவிலில் சிறப்பு வழிபாடு செய்யப்பட்டு மலை உச்சிக்கு கொண்டு செல்லப்பட்டது.
மகா தீபம் ஏற்றுவதற்காக 3 ஆயிரம் கிலோ நெய் பயன்படுத்தப்படுகிறது. தீப நெய் முழுவதும் பக்தர்கள் செலுத்தும் காணிக்கையாகும். இந்த மகா தீபம் தொடர்ந்து 11 நாட்கள் மலை உச்சியில் காட்சியளிக்கும். கார்த்திகை தீபத்தின் போது திருவண்ணாமலைக்கு வர முடியாதவர்கள் இந்த 11 நாட்களில் வந்து மகாதீபத்தை தரிசனம் செய்து கொள்ளலாம்.

மாலையில் கோவிலில் சாமி சன்னதியில் இருந்து பஞ்சமூர்த்திகளான விநாயகர், வள்ளி தெய்வானையுடன் முருகர், உண்ணாமலை அம்மன் சமேத அருணாசலேஸ்வரர், பராசக்தி அம்மன், சண்டிகேஸ்வரர் ஆகியோர் ஆடியபடி தனித்தனியாக வெளியே வந்து சாமி சன்னதி முன்பு உள்ள தீப மண்டபத்தில் இருந்த தங்க விமானத்தில் எழுந்தருளினர்.
அதைத்தொடர்ந்து சுமார் 6 மணியளவில் ஆண்டுக்கு ஒருமுறை மட்டுமே காட்சி தரும் அர்த்தநாரீஸ்வரர் சாமி சன்னதியில் இருந்து ஆடியபடியே கொடிமரம் அருகே வந்து காட்சி அளித்தார். பின்னர் சாமி சன்னதி முன்பு அகண்டதீபம் ஏற்றப்பட்டது. அதேநேரத்தில் மலைஉச்சியில் மகாதீபம் ஏற்றப்பட்டது. அப்போது கிரிவலம் சென்ற பக்தர்கள், நகரின் வீதிகள் மற்றும் வீடுகளின் மாடிகளில் நின்றிருந்த பக்தர்கள் ‘அண்ணாமலையாருக்கு அரோகரா’ என்ற பக்தி முழக்கம் எழுப்பி பரவசத்துடன் மகாதீபத்தை வணங்கி தரிசனம் செய்தனர்.

நாமக்கல் ரெங்கநாதர் கோவில் படிக்கட்டுகளில் 1,008 தீபங்கள் ஏற்றப்பட்டது.
நாமக்கல்லில் கார்த்திகை தீப திருவிழா நவம்பர் 19ம் தேதி வெள்ளிக்கிழமையன்று கோலாகலமாக கொண்டாடப்பட்டது. இதையொட்டி பெண்கள் வீடுகள், தெருக்கள் மற்றும் கோவில்களில் விளக்கு ஏற்றி வழிபாடு செய்தனர். நாமக்கல் ரெங்கநாதர் கோவில் படிக்கட்டுகளில் நேற்று 1,008 தீபம் ஏற்றி வழிபாடு செய்யப்பட்டது.
பின்னர் நாமக்கல் பாலதண்டாயுதபாணி சாமி கோவிலில் 1,008 தீபங்கள் ஏற்றும் நிகழ்ச்சி நடந்தது.
இதேபோல் பல்வேறு கோவில்களில் சிறப்பு பூஜை நடத்தப்பட்டன.

பின்னர் அவர்கள் பஞ்ச மூர்த்திகளுடன் புறப்பாடாகி கிழக்கு சித்திரை வீதியில் அம்மன் சன்னதி, சுவாமி சன்னதி முன்பு எழுந்தருளினார்கள். அங்கு இரவு 7 மணிக்கு சொக்கப்பனை தீபம் ஏற்றப்பட்டது ஆயிரக்கணக்கான பக்தர்கள் கலந்து கொண்டு தரிசனம் செய்தனர்.

சபரிமலை அய்யப்பன் கோவில் பிரசாதமான அரவணை பாயாசம் தயாரிக்க சர்க்கரை சப்ளை செய்யும் உரிமை டெண்டர் மூலம் வழங்கப்படுகிறது. பெரும்பாலும் மஹாராஷ்டிரா மாநிலம் மும்பையில் இருந்துதான் சர்க்கரை வருகிறது. சில நாட்களாக பம்பை குடோனில் இருந்து வரும் சர்க்கரை சாக்குகளில் ‘ஹலால்’ என்ற முத்திரை உள்ளது; இது தொடர்பான வீடியாக்களும் வெளியானது.
இந்நிலையில் சபரிமலை நிர்வாக அதிகாரி சன்னிதானம் போலீசில் கொடுத்த புகாரில், அரவணை தயாரிப்பு ஒரு குறிப்பிட்ட மதத்தினருக்கு கொடுக்கப்பட்டுள்ளது என்றும், ஹலால் சர்க்கரை பயன்படுத்தப்படுகிறது என்றும் வதந்தி பரப்புபவர்கள் மீது நடவடிக்கை எடுக்க வேண்டும் என்றும் தெரிவித்துள்ளார்.
இதற்கிடையே சபரிமலை கர்ம சமிதி ஒருங்கிணைப்பாளர் குமார், கேரள உயர் நீதிமன்றத்தில் தாக்கல் செய்த மனுவில், அப்பம், அரவணை தயாரிக்க ‘ஹலால்’ முத்திரை உள்ள சர்க்கரையை பயன்படுத்த தடை விதிக்கும் படி கோரியுள்ளார்.
இதில் ஆஜாராகி விளக்கமளித்த திருவிதாங்கூர் தேவசம்போர்டு வழக்கறிஞர், 2019ல் வாங்கிய சர்க்கரையில் சில பாக்கெட்டுகளில் ஹலால் முத்திரை இருந்தது என்றும், இது வளைகுடா நாடுகளுக்கு அனுப்ப தயாரிக்கப்பட்டடு தவறுதலாக வந்து விட்டது என்றும் தெரிவித்தார். இது தொடர்பாக உரிய விளக்கம் அளிக்கும் படி கேரள அரசுக்கும், திருவிதாங்கூர் தேவசம் போர்டுக்கும் உயர்நீதிமன்றம் நோட்டீஸ் அனுப்பியுள்ளது.

Karthikai Lamp Festival in South India
Karthika Pournami was celebrated with religious fervour in South India on Thursday and Friday, November 18,19th ( 2021). Devotees took a holy dip in River Krishna in Andhra Pradesh and thronged temples of Lord Shiva in large numbers to offer special prayers.
In Vijayawada, the devotees thronged the Sri Durga Malleswara Swamy Varla Devasthanam atop Indrakeeladri and participated in Koti Deepotsavam organised by the temple authorities.
Peetadhipathi of Visakha Sarada Peetham Sri Sri Sri Swaroopananda Saraswati Swamiji participated in the rituals as chief guest. The Kanaka Durga temple authorities offered a traditional welcome to the Sarada Peetham pontiff amid recitation of vedic hymns.
Swaroopananda Saraswati Swamiji offered special prayers to the Goddess Kanka Duga. Later, the high priest lit up a lamp marking the beginning of Koti Deepotsavam and spoke about the significance of the festival.
TIRUVANNAMALAI
In Tamil Nadu, the most famous Deepa Festival was celebrated in Tiruvannamalai.
Huge Fire Lamp was lit atop the mountain behind the temple. It will burn for 11 days using thousands of kilos of ghee. It is also visible for 40 kilometres around Tiruvannamalai.
Sri Arunachaleswar temple at the place had 10 day long festival. Devotees started arriving at Tiruvvanamalai well before the festival season to book the lodges and hotels there.

Incessant rain unleashes flash floods in Temple Town Tirupati
Tirupati saw flash floods on Thursday due to heavy rain under the influence of a low-pressure area forming over the Bay of Bengal.
Images and videos of the flooded pilgrim city were viral on social media, showing even the small rivulets turning its course onto roads, drowning parked vehicles and buildings and troubling people and cattle as well.
The landslides along the mountain road obstructed the traffic to the temple. Balaji temple was also surrounded by flood waters. Darshan and entry to temple was suspended for some time.

Heavy rains: Pilgrimage at Sabarimala temple suspended for a day
Pathanamthitta district administration in Kerala has suspended pilgrimage to the Sabarimala temple, which is situated in the district, for a day on Saturday, due to heavy rains and rising water levels in the Pamba river.
A red alert has been issued for Kakki-Anathode reservoir (gates open) and Pamba dam, said District Collector Dr Divya Iyer.
“The pilgrims who have booked via virtual queue will be given the opportunity for darshan in the nearest possible slot once the weather conditions turn conducive. We request the pilgrims to cooperate by not undertaking the journey during this time,” said the Pathanamthitta district collector Divya S Iyer..)

RSS alleges terror links in killing of its worker in Kerala, demands NIA probe
RSS said in a statement,
“The recent targeted killing of Rashtriya Swayamsevak worker Sanjith is very unfortunate and highly deplorable. We strongly condemn this act of terror and firmly stand by the family of the deceased. It’s very pathetic that the democratically elected state government of Kerala has failed to prevent such targeted killings. Since it’s evident from the previous experiences that there’s a clandestine understanding between the ruling CPM and Islamist forces in the targeted killing of Swayamsevaks, we demand a fair investigation in this matter and the perpetrators of violence should be booked and punished at the earliest.
We demand Central Govt to intervene in the matter if justice is not delivered under the CPM Govt. We also demand a detailed NIA probe into the murder of Sanjith as the perpetrators have terrorist links. We urge both the state and central government to further investigate the terrorist connections and anti-national activities of PFI and ban this terrorist outfit which works with the sole aim to destroy the communal harmony and peace in society” That was the statement issued by the RSS.
RSS Sah Sarkaryavah, Dr. Manmohan Vaidya visited Sanjith’s house at Palakkad, Kerala.
Arshika, the wife of 27-year-old Sanjith who was killed, narrated the gruesome incident to the media. She said that she saw about five people who came to attack her husband when they were travelling by bike to her workplace at 9 am on Monday. She added she can recognise the killers.
The attackers hit the bike with their car, and when Sanjith and Arshika fell down, they hacked Sanjith to death.
The role of the activists of Social Democratic Party of India (SDPI), the political offshoot of Islamist outfit Popular Front of India (PFI), is suspected in the incident, police said, adding that an investigation has been launched to trace the accused who fled the scene after the incident.
Kerala BJP Leader Surendran is meeting Union Home Minister Amit Shah tomorrow regarding Sanjith Murder and the Kerala police leniency in this case.

Kerala High court seeks report over alleged use of halal jaggery powder at Sabarimala
The Kerala High Court on Wednesday directed the Sabarimala Special Commissioner to file a report on a petition alleging the use of spoiled Halal-certified jaggery powder for the preparation of Nivedyam and Prasadam at Sabarimala. The court also sought an explanation from the state government and the Travancore Devaswom Board on the matter.
A Division Bench comprising Justice Anil K Narndran and Justice PG Ajith Kumar issued the directive on a petition filed by SJR Kumar from Kochi. V Sajith Kumar, counsel for the petitioner, submitted that the use of Halal-certified jaggery prepared as per the religious practices of another religion in the temple and offering the same to the deity would amount to serious violation of religious customs and rituals followed at the temple from time immemorial.
G Biju, the counsel for the Travancore Devaswom Board, submitted that the allegation in the writ petition is totally wrong.
The TDB counsel said that in the jaggery supplied in 2019, some packets contained the Halal label. The manufacturer based in Mumbai is exporting jaggery to Arab countries, hence they need a Halal certificate. A few packets with the Halal label were included in the jaggery powder supplied in the temple. The court then asked the TDB to file a statement explaining all these points.
But the petitioner argued that Aravana and Unniyappam are the main offerings to Lord Ayyappa at Sabarimala. Naivedyam offered to the deity is distributed as Prasada to devotees. It is highly necessary that Naivedyam is prepared using ‘Satwik/pure’ materials in a clean and hygienic environment. Only if Naivedyam is offered as per the wishes of the deity, the Prasada would carry the blessings of the deity. The use of Halal-certified food materials, which are specifically prepared as per the religious beliefs of another community, is not a ‘Satwik/pure’ material to be offered to Lord Ayyappa. The actions on the part of the temple administration are highly illegal and violative of religious rights guaranteed under Part III of the Constitution of India.

INDRA SHARMA WINS YOGA CHAMPIONSHIP IN BRITAIN
Indira Sharma, a 9- year-old from Sevenoaks, Kent won the gold medal in the under 11 UK National Yoga championship held on 13th November in London.
The competition was organised by Great Britain Yoga Sports Federation. By winning this championship Indira has qualified for the world yoga championship.
Earlier Indira with her brother Ishwar Sharma had created an e-petition to the UK Government to include yoga in the school curriculum which was signed by nearly 20000 people.
She has given performances in various national and international events with her father Dr N a n j u n d i a h Vishwanath and brother Ishwar Sharma.
Indira also won an international medal in family yoga last year and has featured in the international yoga calendar of children last 2 years.

JAI JAGANNATH IN LONDON
The Prana Pratistha , that is the hallowed consecration, rituals of the holy deities, Lord Jagannatha, Lord Balabhadra, Devi Subhadra and the divine Sudarshana Chakra were performed over 3 days by the Shree Jagannatha Society UK and Shree Ram Mandir Southall at the temple premises in the presence of devotees from both Trusts.
The week-long festivities concluded on 6th November at a public function at the temple where the deities were formally unveiled at a function attended by eminent personalities and devotees from across the UK.
The Prana Pratistha rituals commenced on 1st November, and
on 6th November devotees from across the country thronged to the Mandir for the Vigraha Sthapana function to catch a long-awaited glimpse of Lord Jagannatha and the Murtis.
Shri Naveen Patnaik, Chief Minister of Odisha State addressed the gathered devotees over video message and congratulated the Shree Jagannatha Society UK. A temple would be constructed by 2024 at the cost of 4 million pounds.

Muslim farmer donates land for Kali temple in West Bengal’s Nadia district
Six months after West Bengal witnessed high-octane Assembly polls highlighted by a communal divide, a Muslim farmer has donated a portion of his land to construct a Kali temple in Nadia district.
The village of Bhimpur has 450-odd families, of which 150 are Muslims. The village is located next to a fencing of the Indo-Bangla border. Hindu villagers use a vacant plot beside the border road for Kali Puja, but they need to seek permission from BSF every year.
This year, BSF was not initially ready to give permission which touched Hannan Mondal and he decided to solve the issue permanently. The small farmer donated a portion of his land to villagers to construct a permanent Kali temple.
Hanna donated a piece of land measuring up to around 460 square feet to the committee. I decided to donate the plot so that a permanent temple can be constructed there, where Kali Puja will be organised every year,” said Hannan.

TWO TEMPLES VANDALISED
Tension prevailed in the Bilhaur area of Kanpur district in Uttar Pradesh after the idols of deities at a temple were found broken.
One Vinod Katiyar went to offer prayers at a temple on the Gujepur road on Monday and found the idols of Lord Hanuman and Goddess Durga broken.He informed the locals and the police.

A disturbing incident has been reported from Basirhat in West Bengal’s North 24 Parganas district right before the Hindus in the state gear up for the upcoming Rash Utsav. Several murtis of Hindu deities that were being sculpted for the Rash Utsav were found vandalized in Sarapool under the Swarupnagar police station area on Wednesday, November 17.
No one has been arrested in this case.
