வியட்நாம் நாட்டில் அனுமன் சிலை கண்டுபிடிப்பு
ஆயிரம் ஆண்டுகள் பழமையுடைய அந்த சிலையை ஒப்படைத்ததற்காக அவருக்கு வியட்நாம் அரசு அமெரிக்க டாலர் 3574 வெகுமதியை அளிக்கிறது.
A man in central Vietnam’s Quang Ngai Province will receive a reward of nearly VND93 million (US$3,574) for handing over a rare Hanuman statue believed to date back to the 11th-12th centuries.
Quang Ngai man awarded nearly USD 3,600 for donating ancient statue
Vietnam’s Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism has approved a reward for a resident of Quang Ngai Province who voluntarily donated a valuable archaeological artefact to a provincial museum.
மீன் பிடிக்கும் தொழிலாளியான அவர் கடலில் மணலுக்கு அடியில் புடைத்திருந்ததை 2021 ஆம் ஆண்டில் கண்டு பிடித்தார் . அமெரிக்கர் ஒருவர் பெருந்தொகை கொடுப்பதாகக் கூறியும் அதை ஏற்க மறுத்தார். இப்பொழுது வியட்நாம் நாட்டின் கலாசாரத்துறையிடம் அதை ஒப்படைத்தார் .
வியட்நாமில்தான் 1800 ஆண்டு பழமையான முதல் சம்ஸ்க்ருத கல்வெட்டு கிடைத்தது என்பது குறிப்பிடத்தக்கது அதிலுள்ள ஸ்ரீமாறன் என்ற பெயரினைவைத்து வியட்நாமை ஆண்ட பாண்டிய மன்னன் என்ற கட்டுரையை 1990 களில் லண்டனிலிருந்து வந்த மேகம் பத்திரிகையில் எழுதினேன். அதில் மேல்விவரம் காண்க வியட்நாமின் பழைய பெயர் சம்பா.
According to local authorities, Duong Dinh Luc of Van Tuong Commune received nearly VND 93 million (about USD 3,600) for handing over a stone statue of the monkey god Hanuman to the Quang Ngai Provincial Museum.
The reward will be funded through the budget of the provincial Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism.
Luc discovered the statue in 2021 while fishing off the coast near his hometown. The artefact was found buried beneath sand about 50 metres from shore at a depth of around four metres.
Due to its size and weight, Luc enlisted relatives and hired lifting equipment to recover the statue and transport it home.
He later said that a buyer had offered him VND 2 billion (about USD 77,000) for the artefact, but he declined the offer and instead chose to donate it to the museum for preservation and public display.
