The President of a Railway Company being told by a fellow passenger in the train that he ( the passenger) had travelled on that road without paying any fare got his capitalist’s curiosity excited.
He paid $ 20 to learn the way to do that
The man said, “by walking!”
A man wanted to collect $ 2000 to start a hospital. He advertised for a lecture. He found the hall with only one man inmate. He lectured, that single man gave the $ 2000. (from notebook 5)

பிரிஜ்நாத் சர்கா (P.Brijnath Sharga M.A., LL.B) எழுதிய Swami Rama His Life & Legacy

B.Kannan, Delhi

14.RIVERS – From the beginning of Rig Veda till the end including the most famous Nadhi Stuti (River Hymn), all the river names are in feminine gender. They are praised as Mother or woman and the sea is described as their husband. This led to the scenes where film actresses always longing for her lover in later Indian films. That is, women run after men and not vice versa. And many of the rivers are unidentified until today!!! Mysterious river Rasa is also there. Famous saying ‘Aakaasaath Patitham Thoyam Yathaa Gachchathi Saagaram’…….. like the rain water that falls from the sky runs as rives towards sea…… is used by all Hindus in hymns and other writings.
15.WATER- Water is praised as great medicine. It is in Atharva Veda as well. Brahmins praise water everyday and sprinkle it on their head thrice a day with Water Mantra. It is used in all the Purifying ceremonies (Punyaha Vachanam, Grha Pravesam/House Warming Ceremony) throughout India even today. In a beautiful hymn in Atharva Veda, the etymology of water terms is explained. There are over 120 terms for water. Hindus use it from birth to death ceremonially. They bathe twice a day. This explodes the myths of foreign gangs’ theory that Vedic Hindus came from colder regions outside India. Like Vedas Tamil poet Tiruvalluvar also called it Amrita; he used the exact Sanskrit word in Tamil which is found in Rig Veda and Atharva Veda for water.
16.FALCON,HAWK,EAGLE- SOMA CONNECTION
Falcon and Soma connection is amazing and is unexplained. From the beginning till the end of Rig Veda, the seers praise the birds of prey bringing the mysterious, miraculous herb Soma. Ayur Veda has its beginning in Soma herb. They praise it as King of Herbs. Soma is in all other three Vedas as well. Amazingly Tamils neither knew Soma nor Indus River. Both are not mentioned in 30,000 lines of 2000 year old Sangam Literature. But Ganges, Himalayas, Amruta and all Hindu gods are mentioned.
17.YAGA, YAJNA, FIRE SACRIFICE
The fire ceremony is in every hymn of the Rig Veda. The absence of such ceremonies anywhere else in the world gave a severe blow to the foreign gangs ( I can even use the word gangsters) who talked about migration of Vedic Hindus into India. Only the Parsees who went FROM India’s Gujarat state TO Iran kept the fire ceremony intact. (Please read Kanchi Parmacharya’s explanation about Zarathustra= Saurashtra.) Amazingly the Parsees came back to the same Gujarat when Muslims started the massacres in Iran.
18.BHAKTI/DEVOTIONAL MOVEMENT
Many of our scholars thought that the Bhakti movement started very late in Hindu religion. They are completely wrong. Worshipping Gods as Father, Mother, Friend, Sister, Relatives, King, Servant etc is found in the Rig Veda until the end. Every Tamil Saivite and Vaishnavite’s verse is an echo of those Rig Vedic Mantras. The most interesting thing is that the Tamils themselves boasted they gave the Vedas in Tamil. Even Tirukkural is praised by a poet as the echo of Four Vedas! Bhakti poets of South India describe what the devotees would get in return in the last verse. This is also in the Vedas.
19.CAVE, COWS, RESCUE
From the first Mandala/Book to the Tenth Mandala, the seers sing rescuing the cows from the cave or releasing them from cave. Is it an idiom they use it to convey several things? It is explained variously in different hymns. But almost all seers knew it. In Tamil and Sanskrit ‘cattle’ means ‘wealth’. Is it about Hindu’s Naval attack on Phoenicians, who were greedy marauding merchants into Indian waters? Phoenicians are described as Panis, which became Banias later. (Some half -baked people connect Banias with Banyan trees). If it is not mentioned throughout the Vedas I wouldn’t have included it here.
20.DEMONS
Over thirty demons were killed by Indra. Their names are found throughout the Four Vedas. Some of them are not identified. All religious scriptures mentioned baddies. But the foreign and Marxist gangs dubbed all demons as aborigenes!!! In other religious scriptures they did not paint them as aboriginal tribes. Those gangs massacred millions of tribes in Australia, Pacific islands, Canada, America, South America and Africa. The gangs spread Guns and STD/ VD in those places. The demon names are fond in all the Four Vedas. The names are typical Indian. So, no connection with Europe. Only the Greeks took them from us and distorted them as ugly gods and goddesses- as immoral rakes!!
21.SIMILES OF LOVE AND AFFECTION AMONG FAMILY MEMBERS:
This is another area where we see unity in 1028 hymns. When they wanted to describe love or affection or kindness, they always used mother looking after their children, Sons helped by fathers, brothers protecting sisters, children running into the hem or fringe of mothers’ saris, friend helping a friend etc. Mostly cow showing affection towards its calf known as VAATSALYAM is used. Those similes are uniform throughout the Vedas. We can’t compare it with any other religious book in the world. The reason being Hindu scriptures are like Pacific Ocean and other religious scriptures including ancient Egyptian, Babylonian, Mayan , Chinese are like our village lakes!
Maintaining such unity and uniformity in 20,000 Mantras running into 40,000 lines is not simple. Those similes are found in later Tamil devotional literature as well.
22.SEXY SIMILES
Religious literature which came very late in other parts of the world considered sex as a sin. Sex was a taboo for them. Buddhists failed miserably in this area. But Vedas give us the pictures of wives hugging husbands vice versa and sexual intercourse too. Griffith and early Tamil Translators of Tirukkural were scared to death to touch those verses. They refused to translate them. But we find utter sexy scenes in Jayadeva’s Ashtapati of tenth century CE. But the important point to be noted is that they elevated men spiritually from basal instincts. Swami Vivekananda explains it in his talk on Gopis. Probably Osho tried to imitate Vedic Rishis but failed miserably.
23.DASA AND DASYU, ARYA
These three words are everywhere in the Vedas. All religious and moral books have some words for baddies. When someone translates them into other languages, one uses the nouns for such words in their languages. But the gangs who translated Hindu scriptures put capital A for aryas, capital D for dasas and dasyus. When they came across other words such as Simyu, Grahi and umpteen other words they made them demons or fiends. Actually they should have used the nouns as ‘good natured, cultured , civilized etc for Arya’ and ‘criminals, bad elements for Dasyus and Dasas’.
In fact Manu and Kalidas used Dasyu for criminals only. So the three words we find in all he four Vedas are simple common nouns and not proper nouns. If these are racial terms, they would have become obsolete when they were eliminated. But the terms continued for thousands of years. But the Greek word Barbarian is not used with capital B anymore. Foreign translators came with a bad motive which is indicated in Kanchi Parmcharya’s lectures. Swami Vivekananda says throwing all the mud from under the Indian Ocean wont be enough to punish the foreigners. Greatest Tamil Poet Bharati described them as the ‘1000 year rulers devoid of Kindness!’

After reading all the 1028 hymns and 10,552 mantras in the Ten Books/Mandalas in the RIG VEDA, the oldest book in the world, the oldest anthology in the world, I came to find an amazing unity in it. I only gave it a cursory reading, not studying. Even Rishi Bharadwaja gave up after three hundred years (in three births) when he came to know what he read was only the size of a stone in the Himalayas. We can compare it to Isaac Newton’s famous quotation of picking pebbles on the shore of mighty ocean:-
“I do not know what I may appear to the world, but to myself I seem to have been only like a boy playing on the sea-shore, and diverting myself in now and then finding a smoother pebble or a prettier shell than ordinary, whilst the great ocean of truth lay all undiscovered before me” -Isaac Newton .
Even if someone does not believe that these hymns were ‘heard’ (Sruti= that which is heard) like radio waves, even if someone does not believe that these mantras were ‘seen’ by the seers (Mantra Dhrsta= those who see mantras), one would be struck with amazement in the unity produced by about 450 poets.
Like Sangam Tamil literature poems, which were composed by 450 poets, several thousands of years after the Rig Veda, it would have taken more than 300 year for the Rig Vedic composition. Even Anti Hindu sceptical scholars now estimate the mantas were composed in a period of 500 years between 1500 and 2000 BCE.
Sangam Tamil literature came about 2000 years ago and the Rig Veda came about 6000 years ago according to Herman Jacobi and Bala Gangadhara Tilak. Genuine scholars date it before 4000 years ago on the basis of discovery of River Sarasvati below the surface of earth.
I will just give the things I have discovered in bullet points :-
1.INDRA- Indra is seen from the beginning of Rig Veda to the end of Atharva Veda covering 20,000 Vedic Mantras. He dominates in the 10,000 verses of Rig Veda. The meaning is Leader, King or Thunder/Lightning
2.SOMA-The Mysterious and Magical herb Soma is in the Rig Veda and other Vedas as well. This is the source for Ayur Veda.
3.INDRA= BULL- We see lot of Bull seals in the Indus Valley but not a single Cow seal. Indra is described as a Bull throughout the Vedas and he is always Victorious, His arch enemies Vrtra, Ahi and Sushna figured in all the Vedas, particularly in Rig Veda. Even westerners agree that this is about Natural forces described as demons by the Vedic Rishis.
4.HORSE and CHARIOT- Through out the Vedas two tawny coloured horses of Indra are described. A lot of references refer to speedy Chariots and Races. That means there should be pukka roads in those days! It reminds us again the broad streets of Harappan Civilization
5.FRIENDS – I was thrilled to see that all the Gods were called Friends by the Vedic Rishis. They used the term Comrades for their colleagues! They say Come on Comrades, Let us do it. They say they have come to pray for their friends! They say Indra you are so and so’s friend; I am your friend; so please do me this favour!
6.PATI, MATI, VATI- this is a linguistic wonder! Until this day Hindus use it throughout Asia. Male names end with Pati (Uma pati, Lakshmi Pati, Ganapati, Brhaspati, Vachaspati etc) Female names end with Vati or Mati (Par Vati, Saras Vati, Indu Mati, Chanrdra Mati etc) .Even rivers which are considered feminine have this Vati suffix. Amazing to see it throughout South East Asia . Even today my friends have these Pati, Mati, Vati suffixes in their names. Vedas are very much alive in our genes! From Himalayas to Pacific ocean Mati, Pati and Vati are used.
6.Number Symbolism- Scholars struggle to cope up with numbers in the Vedas. Everywhere Number SEVEN is there. They have to give different interpretations everywhere. As a practising Hindu in London I use Number Seven everyday in the morning Mantra and Evening Mantra called Sandhyavandana ( Sorry to say I miss the midday mantra). Everyday I recite Seven Rishi names, Seven Prosody (Grammar) terms and Seven Vedic Deity names. When I was in India, I used to recite RSS Pratasmaran in RSS shakas in the morning where 7 rivers, 7 mountains, 7 holy cities etc occur. Interestingly Number 7 and Number 3 are more in Harappan seals.
7.Nine + Ninety- For some reasons Vedic Rishsis say 9+90 rivers, 9+90 forts etc. Nobody knows why. But it is throughout the RV (abbreviation for Rig Veda)
8. DECIMAL NUMBERS – Hindus invented the decimal numbers. Number 100 and 1000 used hundreds of times in the RV.
9. HUNDRED YEAR LIFE- Another wonder is Man’s life is fixed for 100 years throughout the Four Vedas. Most interestingly I do recite this 100 year life Mantra everyday. All good Brahmins do it every day. In the Bible we find only one reference to 100 year life. It looks like ancient Hindus were the healthiest community in the world. I have separately given the list of saints who lived 120 years and who lived 300 years.
10.MIRACLES:- Wherever Asvin Twins are praised their long list of amazing miracles are spoken of. This is also found throughout the RV. I urge everyone to start reading Asvini deva hymns and Visvdeva hymns. You will come across a lot of miracle stories
11.THREE GODDESSES- Throughout the RV we come across Apri Hymns where they praise Ila, Bharati and Sarasvati. This shows they valued Goddesses unlike Semitic religions. In Semitic religions we find only Male Gods. Now Hindus worship the same three as Durga Lakshmi and Sarasvati- Amazing Unity and Amazing continuity.
12.Mudra/Signature: In most of the verses we get singer’s name in the last or in the middle mantras. This was continued by music composers until this day. After Vedic Rishis I found it in the Tamil Thevaram, Divya Prapandha Verses. In Bhakti compositions we find it from Jayadeva’s Ashtapati. WE don’t see anywhere in the world. Only Sanskrit and Tamil have this Mudra or Signature ; Meera, Kabhir Bhajan have these names or signatures in their compositions. From Rig Veda we use it until this day ; Amazing continuity.
13. Manu- Word ‘Man’ came from the first man MANU. His name is there everywhere in the Rig Veda. No man in the world can speak without a Sanskrit word. At least a few words will be there in anyone’s speech. Vedic Sanskrit has spread to such an extant. There is no Tamil book without a Sanskrit word. No Indian can speak a language without a Sanskrit word. If thy want to say my friend had a heart operation they had to use HRT/ heart, the root in the RV!
It is a long list , I am afraid. I will continue in the next article.

xxx

Latest research and study of the Rig Veda (RV) , the oldest book in the world, show that the Vedic Hindus had advanced knowledge of Sun. Though the 30 + foreigners who translated Four Vedas made passing remarks about Hindu Knowledge on Sun, they added words like ‘possibly’, ‘probably’ and sowed seeds of doubts in the readers’ mind. Now we are able to confirm the Hindu knowledge in the following areas
Following 6 points are confirmed now:-
1.The Rishis/seers told us Sun God has a chariot with one wheel that was drawn by Seven Horses. Now we all know that they meant the Rain Bow colours VIBGYOR (violet, indigo, blue, geen, yellow, orange and red. Sun light passed through a prism shows it.
2. Throughout the Ten Mandalas/books of the RV, they report a miracle of Atri Maharishi. In fact he was praised for calculating a total eclipse and its duration. A total eclipse can last for a maximum of seven minutes, which is very rare. One of the solar eclipses was well calculated by Atri and his disciples wondered when he finished reciting a Rig Vedic mantra the sun came out. He was the only one knew the occurrence of eclipse on that day. Well calculated the duration of the Solar Eclipse he recited a mantra for few minutes and the Sun came out of shadow. This is reported as a ‘miracle’ in the Veda.
Krishna also used this trick to destroy Jayadratha who did not know that it was a Solar eclipse day. He thought that the sun was set, and the bugle was sounded marking the end of the battle for that day. In those days they fought Dharma Yuddha. So, after sun set they shook hands and walked home shoulder to shoulder. But Krishna knowing that it was only an eclipse and so urged Arjuna to shoot down Jayadratha, when the eclipsed sun was released. A solar eclipse can happen only on a new moon/Amavasya day. During Mahabharata day it was not a continuous 18 day war. Alternate days were the fighting days.
3.Third wonder is they knew sun is a star. Even people like Griffith who translated Rig Veda reported verbatim the mantra where it was said ‘SUN IS A STAR’. In those days, I mean 120 years ago, they did not even know that there were millions of Suns. But Bhagavad Gita and other hymns talk about Koti Surya (Million Suns). The Viswa Roopa Darshan sloka in the Bhagavad Gita says ‘Divi Surya Sahsrasya’ (1000 suns brightness)
4. All Sanskrit proverbs, slokas and astrological hymns say that Surya/Sun was the Deity for Arogya/ health.
There are umpteen remarks to show this in the oldest book, Rig Veda. They knew human beings need Vitamin D from Sun and so they prescribed lot of rituals under the Sun. Though they did not mention ‘Vitamin D’ they knew sun light gives Vitamin D.
5. Sun Spots were not in the 150 year old science books. But RV talks about Sun Spots several thousand years ago. Foreign translators used ‘Spots on Sun Bird’ or a Bull. They said that the bird and bull mentioned here actually Sun. The hymns said Bird/Bull with Spots. In reality they knew the Sun Spots. Now we know that when the sun spots are big in number, communication on earth is affected because of solar flare ups.
6.Jaundice Treatment :– Treatment for jaundice is both in the Rig Veda and Atharva Veda. The Rishis/ seers talk about treatment with Red Light. Actually jaundice in new born babies is treated with red light. It is called photo therapy. Read below the science behind it:
What is Jaundice?
Jaundice is a common, temporary. and usually harmless condition in newborn infants. It affects both full-term and premature babies, usually appearing during the first week of the baby’s life.
Jaundice occurs when there is a build-up of a naturally occurring substance in the blood called bilirubin . Bilirubin is an orange/red pigment in the blood. Bilirubin is produced by the normal breakdown of red blood cells. It is normal for everyone to have low levels of bilirubin in their blood. As bilirubin begins to build up, it deposits on the fatty tissue under the skin causing the baby’s skin and whites of the baby’s eyes to appear yellow.
What is Phototherapy?
Some “normal” jaundice will disappear within a week or two without treatment. Other babies will require treatment because of the severity of the jaundice, the cause of the jaundice, or how old the baby is when jaundice appears.
Phototherapy (light treatment) is the process of using light to eliminate bilirubin in the blood. Your baby’s skin and blood absorb these light waves. These light waves are absorbed by your baby’s skin and blood and change bilirubin into products, which can pass through their system.
When there were no electric lights 5000 years ago Hindus used fire and sun light.
What is the BiliBlanket?
Your doctor may prescribe the biliblanket as an alternative and/or additional treatment for you child’s jaundice. This system uses fiber optics and represents advanced technology in phototherapy treatment given in the hospital or at home.
The biliblanket provides the highest level of therapeutic light available to treat your baby. This form of light is also found in sunlight. The strength of light form the biliblanket is about the same, as you would get in the shade on a sunny day, yet is safer because the biliblanket filters out potentially harmful ultraviolet and infrared energy
