ஆல் இந்தியா ரேடியோ, சென்னை வானொலி நிலையத்தின் வாயிலாக தினமும் இந்திய நேரம் காலை 6.55 மணிக்குச் சுற்றுப்புறச் சூழல் நிகழ்ச்சியில் 1-8-19 முதல் 10-8-19 முடிய சுற்றுப்புறச் சூழலைக் காப்பது பற்றிய ச.நாகராஜனின் 10 உரைகள் ஒலிபரப்பப்படுகின்றன. இந்த உரைகளை www.allindiaradio.gov.in தளத்தில் தமிழ் ஒலிபரப்பைத் தேர்ந்தெடுத்து நிகழ்நிலையில் கேட்கலாம். 5-8-19 அன்று காலை ஒலிபரப்பட்ட ஐந்தாம் உரை இங்கு தரப்படுகிறது.
பிளாஸ்டிக் பொருள்களின் நச்சுத் தன்மை!

அங்கிங்கெனாதபடி எங்கும் இன்றைய வாழ்க்கையில் நம்முடன் கலந்து விட்ட பிளாஸ்டிக் பொருள்களின் நச்சுத்தன்மை பற்றி அறிந்து கொள்ள வேண்டியது மிகவும் அவசியமான ஒன்றாக ஆகி விட்டது.
தண்ணீரை ஏந்தி வரும் கேன்கள், உணவை பாக்கிங் செய்து வரும் சிறு பெட்டி, தானியங்களை பாக்கிங் செய்யப் பயன்படுத்தப்படும் பைகள், பழங்களை உள்ளடக்கி வரும் கூடை அல்லது பைகள், பிஸ்கட், சாக்லெட் ஆகியவற்றின் மேல் உறையாகப் பயன்படுத்தப்படும் அழகிய உறைகள் இவை அனைத்துமே பிளாஸ்டிக்கினால் ஆனவையே. இவை அனைத்தும் நச்சைக் கொண்டிருக்கின்றன. இவற்றை அதிகம் பயன்படுத்துவதால் நமது உடலில் 3 விழுக்காடு பிளாஸ்டிக் கலந்திருக்கிறது என்கிறது ஒரு ஆய்வு.
வண்ண பாட்டில்களில் இருக்கும் வண்ணங்கள் அடிடிவ்ஸ் (Additives) எனப்படும் கூட்டுப்பொருளைச் சேர்ப்பதால் உருவாக்கப்படுகிறது. இந்த கூட்டுப்பொருள்கள் அனைத்துமே நச்சுக் கலந்தவையே.
பிளாஸ்டிக் பொருள்களில் உள்ள நச்சுப்பொருள்கள் ஹார்மோன்களைத் தடை செய்கின்றன. தைராய்ட் ஹார்மோன் உடலின் மிக முக்கியமான ஹார்மோன் ஆகும். பிளாஸ்டிக்கின் நச்சு இதை வெகுவாக பாதிக்கிறது ; இதனால் தைராய்டின் சமச்சீர்தன்மை இழக்கப்படுகிறது.
BPA போன்ற கூட்டுப்பொருள்கள் சேர்க்கப்படாத பிளாஸ்டிக் என்று விளம்பரப்படுத்தப்பட்டாலும் அப்படிப்பட்ட பிளாஸ்டிக்கும் அபாயகரமானவையே என்பதில் சந்தேகமே இல்லை.
கர்ப்பிணிப் பெண்கள் நிச்சயமாக பிளாஸ்டிக் பொருள்களின் பயன்பாட்டை அறவே நீக்க வேண்டும்.
பிளாஸ்டிக் பாட்டில்களுக்குப் பதிலாக எவர்சில்வர் அல்லது கண்ணாடி பாட்டில்களைப் பயன்படுத்தலாம்.
குழந்தைகளுக்கு பிளாஸ்டிக்கினால் ஆன விளையாட்டு பொம்மைகளை வாங்குவதை நிச்சயம் தவிர்க்க வேண்டும்.
ஒரு முறை பயன்படுத்தி தூக்கி எறியப் போகிறோமே என்று எண்ணி விலை மலிவான பிளாஸ்டிக் தட்டுகள், பாட்டில்காள், பைகள் ஆகியவற்றை வாங்குவதன் மூலம் ஆரோக்கிய சீர்கேட்டுக்கு நமக்கு நாமே வழி வகுக்கிறோம்.
பிளாஸ்டிக் பயன்பாட்டினால் குழந்தைகளுக்கு நுண்ணறிவு குறையும்; சமூக உறவில் தனது எண்ணங்களை வெளிப்படுத்தும் திறன் குழந்தைகளுக்குக் குறையும். எதிலும் கவனம் செலுத்த முடியாத நிலையும் ஏற்படும்.
இப்படிப்பட்ட அபாயங்களை மனதில் எண்ணி அனைவரும் நச்சை வெளிப்படுத்தும் பிளாஸ்டிக் பொருள்களைப் பயன்படுத்துவதை நிறுத்துவோம்.
நம் உடலையும் காப்போம்; நமது பூமியையும் காப்போம்!

Chateauneuf, keeper of the seals of Louis XIII, when a boy of only nine years old, was asked many questions by a bishop, and gave very prompt answers to them all. At length the prelate said,
“I will give you an orange if you will tell me where God is”.
My Lord, replied the boy,

This story reminds us of the anecdote regarding Tamil poetess Avvaiyar and another saint.
The person was stretching his or her feet towards god’s statue in a temple. When someone criticised the person for such a blasphemous act, Avvaiar or the saint concerned told the complainant,
“Please show me the direction where god is not”.

Four gentlemen – a Baptist, Presbyterian, Methodist and Roman Catholic – met by agreement to dine on fish. Soon as grace (prayer before meal) was said, the Catholic rose, armed with a knife and fork, and taking about one third of the fish, including the head, removed it to his plate, saying with great satisfaction: The Pope is the head of the church”.
Immediately the Methodist minister arose, and helping himself with to about one third, embracing the tail, said: “The end crowns the work”.
The Presbyterian now thought it was time for him to move, and taking the remainder of the fish to his plate, exclaimed, “Truth lies between the two extremes”.
Our Baptist brother had nothing before him but an empty plate, and the prospect of a slim dinner, so seizing a bowl of melted butter, he dashed it over them, exclaiming: “I baptize you all”.

எதிர்கால சந்ததியினருக்கு இன்று வாழும் ஒவ்வொரு மனிதனும் செய்யும் மகத்தான உதவி இந்த பூமியை அதன் இயற்கை வளத்தை மாசுபடுத்தாமல் வாழும்படியாக விட்டுச் செல்வது தான்.
பூமிக்குப் பெரும் அச்சுறுத்தலாக இன்று விளங்குவது பிளாஸ்டிக் பொருள்களின் பயன்பாடு தான்.
இதன் தீமையை ஒவ்வொருவரும் நன்கு அறிந்து விட்ட இன்றைய நாட்களில் இதன் பயன்பாட்டைத் தவிர்க்கும் வழிமுறைகளையும் அறிந்து கொள்வது இன்றியமையாதது ஆகும்.
நாம் அன்றாடம் வாங்கும் பல்வேறு பொருள்களையும் பாக்கிங் செய்ய பிளாஸ்டிக் பைகள் பெருமளவு பயன்படுத்தப் படுகின்றன. ஒவ்வொருவரும் பல்வேறு பொருள்களை சிறிய அளவில் வாங்க முயல்கையில் ஏராளமான பிளாஸ்டிக் பைகளின் பயன்பாடு தவிர்க்க முடியாததாக ஆகி விடுகிறது.
ஆகவே கூடுமானவரையில் நண்பர்கள் குழுவாக இணைந்து மொத்தமாக பொருள்களை வாங்கித் தங்களுக்குள் பங்கிட்டுக் கொள்ளலாம்.
இன்றைய நவநாகரிக உலகில் ரெடி மீல்ஸ் எனப்படும் தயாரிக்கப்பட்ட உணவை வாங்கி உண்ணும் பழக்கம் பெருகி வருகிறது. இந்த உணவு வகைகளைத் தனித்தனியே பாக்கிங் செய்ய பிளாஸ்டிக் அடிப்படையிலான பொருள்களே பயன்படுத்தப்பட்டு வருகிறது. ஆகவே இதைத் தவிர்த்து இல்லங்களிலேயே உணவைத் தயாரிப்பது அல்லது தங்களது பாத்திரங்களை எடுத்துக் கொண்டு அவற்றில் உணவு வகைகளை வாங்குவது என்ற உறுதியை மனதில் ஏற்க வேண்டும். இதன் மூலம் ஆரோக்கிய மேம்பாடும், இயற்கைச் சூழல் மாசுபடுத்தப்படாமல் இருக்கும் நல்ல நிலையும் ஏற்படும்.
தேநீரைத் தயாரிக்கும் நிறுவனங்கள் பிளாஸ்டிக் அடிப்படையிலான பாலிபுரொபொலினை (Polypropylene) தேநீர் துகள்களைப் போடப் பயன்படுத்துகின்றன. இதைத் தவிர்க்க இப்படி பிளாஸ்டிக்கைப் பயன்படுத்தாத நிறுவனங்களிடமிருந்து மட்டுமே தேநீர் வாங்குவது என்ற பழக்கத்தை மக்கள் ஏற்படுத்திக் கொண்டால் நாளடைவில் இப்படிப்பட்ட பிளாஸ்டிக் பயன்பாடு அறவே ஒழிந்து விடும்.
ஆங்காங்கு பல்வேறு நிறுவனங்களில் பணி புரியும் அனைவரும் தங்கள் தங்கள் நிறுவனத்தின் தலைவரிடம் பிளாஸ்டிக் பயன்பாட்டை அறவே ஒழிக்கும் முயற்சியை எடுக்க வற்புறுத்தல் இன்றியமையாதது. தொழிலகத்தின் கொள்கையாக இப்படி பிளாஸ்டிக் பொருளின் பயன்பாட்டைத் தடுத்து நிறுத்தும் முயற்சியை மேற்கொள்வதன் மூலம் இயற்கைச் சூழல் பாதுகாக்கப்படும்.
